Located opposite Gate C6 at DFW Airport Lots of seating with Shake Shack branding embossed along the concourse wall where there was located additional food court seating. I was in the area around lunch time and considered grabbing a fast burger even though I had lunch scheduled for my DFW to SFO flight boarding around 1:30pm. There were a few persons in line waiting to order, and far more waiting for their names to appear on a display announcing food was ready for pickup. Given that the kitchen looked backed up I opted to just wait to eat on my flight. Back at my gate a family seating near feasted on some Shake Shack that looked appetizing, but FYI the kitchen took some time to prepare their lunch. Last time I went to a Shake Shack was down town Manhattan before COVID. Was a great burger and experience. Had a long layover in Dallas and hungry but not for breakfast. This place served burgers at 8am and they are fresh. Experience was similar though bun seemed larger last time I had it. That is ok since on Keto and the bun was light fluffy and held up to the grease of the meat. Cooks were fast and service very efficient. Neat little nook at the beginning of terminal C tucked away and not lots of people. Burger and unsweetened ice tea hit the spot. It's completely closed. Like abandoned with no lights on. I put in a request on Apple Maps to have the hours updated because there were no employees or signs or anything. Tables were moved to block the entrances. Shake Shack is one of my daughter's favorite places to eat. This was my first visit to one as I waited for connecting flight in Dallas. The Shake Shack in Terminal C is in a food court near gate C6. There were about 8 people waiting for food when I walked up. The clerk was all business and was a little frustrated that I didn't know the Shack's lingo. I got a single Shack burger and fries. Food took about 15 minutes to prep. The burgers are old school flat well-0done burgers with a slice of good old yellow American cheese. There is a signature sauce that tastes like thousand island. My burger was tasty. The crinkle cut fries were crispy and ok either way maybe a tad too much salt. There is a set of customer dedicated tables with a tv monitor playing hockey or something. I sat there and ate. For airport food, Shake Shack is certainly affordable. Next time I'd skip the fries. read more

Terminal C6 location. From my experience airport service is always worse than the location outside. Burger taste the same but the way they make it in DFW looks like a mess. Maybe they are trying to get orders ready for travelers so they don't have time to build it properly. Service is pretty quick. It is late at night so there weren't a lot of customers. Lol I like how they have a whole sitting area just for them instead of with the other food court area. If I could give a zero or minus I would. No one bothers to greet you and r talk to you. I have food allergy and it wasn't pulling up on screen. I finally had to ask for help for a gluten free bun. They didn't have a clue and seemed I was bothering them. It is already frustrating flying but trying to find food traveling sucks. This place made me want to cry with frustration. Decided to get a bite to eat since we had time to waste before our flight. Decided on the shake shack since we had it before but in a different location. Placed my order and stood around with all the others who were waiting for their names to be called to pick up their food. It had to be at least 15- 20 minutes later before my food actually arrived. Pretty slow for a fast food restaurant. Overall the food tasted pretty good. I love their fries which are the crinkle cut kind and the burger was good. I was headed to my gate and was happy to spot a Shake Shack at DFW. If you know me, you know I LOVE Shake Shack! Big fan, huge! I obviously had to grab a bite for lunch before I boarded. The reviews for this location seem like a mixed bag, and it totally makes sense to me. There was something definitely a tad bit... off, if you will. I couldn't exactly put my finger on it but you know airport Shake Shacks can be hit or miss. I ordered quickly, no line. My usual Smoke Shack single, with an order of cheese fries. The wait time was on par with Shack Shack wait times I suppose, maybe it felt longer because I'd flown in on a 145a flight and was flying home on a 3p flight - I'm sure I thought I was hungrier than usual after morning meetings and not a thing to eat since I landed at 645a. When Nikki said "he can tell I ain't missing no meals" she wrote that just for me. This girl was h u n g r y. My burger tasted great, as per the usual. I don't love that the cheese was at first missing, I then asked why they weren't cheese fries and was handed a cheese cup (standard to go style if I can recall) on the side rather than on the fries. Feels more like an order of fries with a side of cheese sauce which just doesn't feel like cheese fries if you catch my drift. All in all, it was fine but it is a little different - wasn't terrible, just felt a little off but the food was fine. If you've never had Shake Shack before, I'll be the first to say an airport location is not typically a good representation of their offerings. I adore them, and would highly suggest checking out a regular location and not writing them off if you had a bad experience here. Maybe Shake Shack just isn't the move here... there are a bunch of other spots to grab a bite, but at the end of the day it is all airport food to me since you're getting it at the airport. I did find it odd that they were closing at 5pm at one of the busiest airports in the US but their shake machine was broken so maybe thats why I tried the double smoke burger. A last minute unexpected trip finds me in DFW in the middle of the day on my way to IL. I'm not sure if it's the fact I haven't eaten for two days or if SS is just that good. With my nerves in a knot I finally was starving when I landed at DFW this AM. The SS was right next to the gate I exited from. The bun was fresh and buttery. The veggies were fresh too. The cheeseburger has that crispy edge yummy crunch that I haven't found on a burger in a long time. The restaurant is located at the Dallas Forth Worth Airport at the C terminal. The small and fine print menu made it really hard to read. (No images of the burgers make you guess what's on the menu and this is why customers take more time to order). If you are a new customer you can order a Classic burger, Shroom Burger, Smokeshack Cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, fries and shakes. I found the items a little overpriced but all the other restaurants had bigger lines. Only one register was open during my visit. I ordered the chicken sandwich which costed me a little less than $8. (Just the sandwich). The chicken was tasty and savory and the veggies on it were fresh. No packaging available for a to go item. My burger had no wrapping, served on an open box. The menu at this Shake Shack was pretty short. I have since looked at the menu on their corporate website and it is also short. If the approach is to focus on doing a few things very well, they succeeded for our visit. My lunch was their Shack Burger with a side of Cheese Fries. While the burger was a bit small for me, it was really good with a well cooked patty. I liked their signature mayo based sauce. I'd recommend their double burger if you have a good appetite. The cheese fries were also good. I decided to use the separate cheese sauce as a dipping sauce instead of pouring it over the fries, which worked well until it cooled down and got thicker.
