McDonalds isn't really a good deal in terms of the cost to our planet and our health to begin with, but add the bad deal in terms of airport fast food cost and that's the main ingredients for a one star review. awful experience even for a fast food joint at an airport where the expectations are barely existent. I ordered a shake with no whipped cream and of course was handed a shake with whipped cream. I pointed to the ticket which clearly said "no whipped cream" and the person managing orders shrugged when I asked if it could be fixed. I watched my shake get handed off to another employee in the back who scooped out the whipped cream/dumped about 25% of the shake out. When I was handed the shake back clearly with a decent amount missing I said "can you either make me a new one or fill the amount that was dumped out." the other cashier then snapped "I saw him make you a new one" which was a blatant lie and was rude. I really liked that they had the self serve ordering. This made our process quick and easy. We ordered some food before getting onto our connecting flight and our time was tight. They were surprisingly fast and we were done in 15mins. But, that's where the good experience ends. Food was clearly old. The fries tasted like they were from the night before - it was like chewing cardboard. Nuggets weren't fresh and the pattie in my quarter pounder was soooooo dry. It's a mill, sending people through in the morning rush like crazy. But hey, the coffee was hot and good. You can order at kiosk or counter then wait for you number to be called. The staff is hustling and orders come our quickly and surprisingly accurately. The prices are reasonable for airport food but higher than your neighborhood McD. Bought meal ,at this Terminal D location ID 31310, Merchant 506695, Receipt Order No 479 at this location which included large Tea with cream n sugar. My flight gate was 20D n i am senior citizen. Picked up food trusting all was good n walked back to my flight gate. Surprizingly when checked Tea container there was NO TEA BAG inside or in the meal bag. Did not have energy to walk back and claim but lived without tea bag sipping on hot water instead. Bizare experience. This was the closest food choice to our gate where our flight was leaving. Hubby had to eat something as they give you only a cookie on the flight. I go to the counter and order two cheese burgers. Asked if I can pay by cash and they method of payment was accepted. After I ordered I noticed self ordering screens. Personally note a fan and was thankful a live person took my order. Truthfully during Covid why would I want to touch a germs screen? It wasn't like there was a sanitizer nearby? Before you could even blink my number was called I showed my receipt and left. I brought the burgers on the plane to eat. I am sorry to the other passengers as you know McDonald's has a wonderful aroma all their own. The burgers were as expected no issues there. very disappointing dining experience at McDonald's at Terminal B of DFW airport. Ordered my favorite filet O fish and chickens nugget meals both are not fresh and dry. The fires look dull and no longer crispy outside. Even more strange, I found my Diet Coke full of ice with very few Coke, so I talked to the staff who responded lukewarm and had no intention to refill it... so I give up arguing with this particular McDonald's. The menu is the same as any other US based location, except a few items are not available. The McDonald's has its own WiFi network compared to the rest of the terminal. The refills aren't free. Also, the prices are much higher than outside the airport but that's because they are selling to a captive audience. read more

Ordered a meal from the kiosk and it said the meal comes with two sauces. Once the meal came and sat down to eat, no sauces were in the bag. Went back and spoke to a girl at the counter (who was clearly unfriendly and seemed bothered) and asked for the two Ranches that were ordered, she go upset and snappy and said she could give one but the second would cost a dollar. When asked why it stated it came with two and didn't prompt a charge for ordering two, she got mad and restated here position and said she would call security if it was an issue. Why does this girl have a job let alone interfacing with the public. Not justification for an attitude and threat like this to make her point. Service met expectations (that some mood-less youth would push buttons quickly and dispense the displayed amount of change). Service was relatively quick considering the high flow of customers. The manager was being a bit shady with the order display, clearing the orders from the display long before they were ready (a trick that fast-food managers do to undermine corporate management's efforts to actually manage the restaurant).
