I've been to Cuppa in Irving quite a few times for community events, and it's one of my favorite places to hang out. Since it's inside a church, some people get nervous about going, but once you walk in, it just feels like a cozy coffee shop with lots of seating. It does get busy with students, so finding a table can be a little tricky during peak hours. This time I tried the Matcha Coco Craze, and it was really light and refreshing. I also appreciate that they have a self-serve water station that's always filled, and the staff is always happy to give me a cup of ice when I ask. I'll definitely keep coming back. read more

I can't not praise this venue enough. I host a journal club and regularly book a table for 15. The manager, Victor, is always so helpful at getting me booked. My girls all love attending this venue, as the drinks are so tasty and they have some bites to eat as well. Cuppa always reserves us a table and helps set up before we arrive. Our group of 14 ladies stopped in at Cuppa Espresso Bar on August 14th during our retreat, and it was such a fantastic experience from start to finish. The two ladies working that morning were incredibly warm, attentive, and welcoming. I ordered the matcha with dulce de leche, honey drizzle, and oat milk -- beyond delicious! I also grabbed the warm monkey bread, which was perfectly soft and sweet. My sister had the pistachio croissant (flaky, buttery, and full of flavor), while another sister enjoyed the strawberry matcha. Several of the ladies also tried the caramel matcha and raved about it. The space was spotless and inviting -- I did notice one fruit fly in a case, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. The airy, open layout makes it perfect for working or relaxing, and I love that it's attached to a church. It gave the space such a peaceful, community-centered vibe. ok I told myself I had to write a review here.... and I dont usually write reviews but I have to in this case. So, horrible experience.... Not only was my experience bad but I'm legit concerned about customers going here now.... To summarize: A) This was the WORST coffee and food I have ever had at ANY coffee shop I've been to in my LIFE. And I'm not even exaggerating. I got a latte, and it was wayyyy too hot, just foamy, tasted burnt. Ok strike one, bad but eh... Then they replaced it with a drink, a smoothie, which was somehow even worse. And even worse, I ordered a croissant with the replaced drink and this thing was DISGUSTING (upset with myself for not getting a picture of that one)... it had probably a half cup or more of "goop", which is the best I can describe it, slathered all over the inside. The croissant itself was lukewarm and soggy. The goop looked like raw dough but it was a weird mixture of sugar and something else, but it was absolutely gross. B) the manager was very rude. When I went back to return the coffee and unfortunately (or fortunately) I didn't get to know her name, but she was a short lady with dark glasses, had an extremely sour attitude and was bizarrely passive aggressive. As I was trying to explain she was like, "so you didn't like it huh" while staring at me and talking in a passive aggressive manner. When I came back to ask for a refund for the replacement drink and the croissant, she was even more passive aggressive. I said "I have no idea what this is" (pointing at disturbing goop) and also told her "this smoothie is wayyyyy too sweet", and she got weirdly passive aggressive again saying "not your thing huh????" Anyways, it was bizarro. C) Ok, so about the smoothie.... this thing had what seemed like 50 pumps of whatever the heck "mango" sh*t they put in it. I'm not joking when I say it was the MOST sugary thing I think I ever tasted in my life. It made me and my friend gag on just one sip. So either whoever made this did it spitefully because I returned the coffee (????) or if this is really what they serve people I have no idea how they're in business. The only saving grace at this "christian" coffee shop was they gave me a refund. read more

They serve one of my favorite Lavender Matchas! The space is also AMAZING. good seating and aesthetic, and great service. if you walk down the hallway there's beautiful art, it's like a mini museum. and the best part- if you have kids like me, you can bring them to the indoor playground down the hall, and sit along the side enjoying your caffeine and a book while your kids get all their energy out. they also have a playground outside too. What a pleasant surprise! I stopped here on my way to the office on Friday and was thoroughly pleased by the service and drink selection. I ordered a ube matcha latte which was delicious and not too sweet. They have a variety of sweet treats to choose from at the counter. They all look absolutely delicious! Their prices are super fair and they even have a $3 special on Fridays where any drink any size is only $3! The space itself is clean and open with plenty of seating. Located inside a church, this cute modern coffee shop was a good spot. As a Seattle local, it is tough to find good coffee when I'm on the road and missing home. The gal at the counter was friendly and polite, although she was working by herself so I would plan for a few extra minutes in case there's back to back orders. I got an iced caramel macchiato and an iced matcha with ube cold foam. The caramel macchiato was great! Not the strongest espresso I've had but really nice flavor profile, almost a marshmallow taste. The matcha was also good, the ube cream was pretty but the flavor wasn't very noticeable. I also picked up one of their cute stickers, because at $1.50 who could resist! read more

The biggest thing Cuppa Espresso bar has going on here, is the huge dining area. Whenever we're in town, we always make it a point to stop by here. Located inside a church (second floor). Very spacious and wasn't noisy even though there were a lot of people seated. Lots of parking. The staff is friendly and the drinks are delectable. My go-to is the Cuppa Joy latte and dirty chai. We also tried their seasonal Summer Daze and it was just as good. The atmosphere is also lovely with open seating for studying and they work great with groups to have meet ups and such. The only warning is the seasonal drinks can be pricey and the prices aren't listed on the sign so ask before you order. read more

I wasn't expecting it, although I probably should have... it's that 'ol' Texas classic, a church coffee shop. The oversized murals of suffering Jesus were a bit much! If it weren't for that, you could easily mistake this for a "normal" coffee shop. I liked the drinks menu - I tried a lavender latte. They had pastries on offer as well as coffee shop themed merch. There's very spacious seating area - ideal for large group meetings. Friendly baristas with perfectly manicured nails quickly and efficiently answered all my questions. This shop is a little out of my way and I prefer a cozier vibe, but you could do worse, I suppose. read more

This was a super cute place nestled inside a church. I loved the idea of it being an open space with ample parking. We ordered a cold brew, a cinnamon bun, and a cinnamon roll (all heated). The pastries tasted great, but the texture was lacking on both buns. They were a bit hard. The glaze on the cinnamon roll was amazing. The cold brew was strong and tasted fine. The customer service was kind, however, some of the employees appeared new and didn't know how to answer a few questions. There was a knitting group meeting at a large table, so that seemed fun and a safe space for hanging. Wifi was posted. Space was ample. Indoor + outdoor seating. Super cool concept. read more

The ambience is calm and warm. The people are kind and the seating is spread out. Highly recommend. I wish there were more locations in the states! Cool airy space, as part of Irving Bible Church. It's a little confusing at first, but when you enter the lobby, you take a flight of stairs up to the first floor area with lots of windows, seating area and small coffee bar. Coffee is palatable and inexpensive. Food is okay, with a basic selection of items. Ordered avocado toast with a boiled egg, and they only have spoons and forks. When asked for a knife, the server looked very confused. I said I wanted to cut my toast and he said, oh, people usually juts pickle and bit it. I said well I'd like t use a knife and fork. He couldn't find me a knife and offered me a chopping knife that had a rather large blade. I thought he was joking, but he really wasn't. In the end, he managed to find a regular knife and I used that, with my plastic fork. Such a strange experience. read more

I absolutely adore this gem of a coffee shop! They are located on the 2nd floor of the Irving Bible Church. They use 1883 syrups, which have some of the cleanest ingredients and are sweetened with cane sugar! They have the classics but they also have some of the cutest seasonal drinks that have a little twist - like The Nutcracker which is a pistachio matcha drink. My dad who, to my dismay, only ever drinks coffee from Starbucks decided to appease me by trying a white chocolate mocha on our last visit. Without any prompting from me, he commented several times about smooth his drink was and how much better it was than his tried-and-true Starbucks one! Baristas were nice, and things came out in a good manner. I got an oatmilk iced vanilla latte for ~$5.5 with tax before tip. One of the cheaper options out there! They used a la marzocco. Not a fan of the beans, it taste maybe burnt, I am not an expert. Oatmilk was not creamy as I would like and the syrup could be a tad sweeter.
