Big golden sandwich combo with extra side was $12.97.....sorry, but I can sit down and eat at several restaurants for lunch for less than this. If these prices are what you have to charge to be profitable, your business is already bankrupt. read more

Food is stale or overcooked or both. The grilled chicken was burnt black and dry. The okra was old and stale, too hard to chew.

The chicken strips aren't cooked good enough. You can taste the raw chicken. Absolutely disappointed. read more

Golden Chick - Raw chicken not cooked enough - Fast Food Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

you ate at Golden Chick on Altamesa in Fort Worth Texas today for the first time! The chicken was hot and the dirty rice was absolutely delicious!!! I don't usually eat bread so I began to leave but suddenly decided that I'd take a bite into the roll! OMG!!! it was a meal in itself! No way was I not gonna eat the rest of it. I actually went to the counter to order another and the young lady asked me had I ever tried them with honey and butter.....so I bought 2 with honey and butter! As I text, I am still sitting in Golden Chick. I was not going to leave without giving them this 5-star review on their food and their incredible customer service! ***** Frank read more

It's not Popeyes, but it's still pretty dang good if you pass one by I would go there instead of KFC

I loved the food in that place. It's wonderful. The attention is very good. Whenever I go and want fresh food they cook it for me without problem, highly recommended Thank you chicken read more

The staff are not friendly, and they do not be in any rush to get your order. The line doesn't even be long. Just non caring employees

We haven't eaten at Golden Chick for a couple of months. This was our forst visit to the location on Trinity Boulevard. Outside of the resturant was very clean. The dining room had some small trash items under the tables but overall it wasn't bad. We ordered one 1 piece meal (breast) with two sides $6.99 and one 2 piece meal with two sides $9.99. The sides were reasonable servings except for the mashed potatoes which was a small scoop. The breasts were much smaller than we were getting at the Airport Freeway location. The flavor was good but nothing was really hot. We did get a 10% Senior discount simply by asking. Music was reasonable selection and not too loud. Employees were courteous and efficient. The soft serve ice cream machine was disassembled so no free dessert. Overall, just an average experience. read more

My tenders were not fresh and my fries were cold. It was very disgusting, this was my only chance for dinner, and this location failed me. I would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

You know, I have never in life experience such rude, disrespectful staff and a lady who claimed to be a supervisor. Who by the way refused to provide me with her name when asked, and then stated that I didn't need her name. Due to an order being messed up prior, the manager (Tanya) who has great customer service, provide a coupon for a tender meal. Went to order food and informed her that I had a coupon for the meal. Her attitude and her service her tone we're all wrong, not how she even became supervisor and if u are a supervisor then is this what u teach ur employees to be rude and disrespectful. I will never be a customer of them ever. Crazy how this is allowed and these are the people you hire to represent your company. Needles to say that after minutes of the rudeness, I got the food pretty much forced to me, she smiled upon handing it to me.Girlllll who eating this. Not me. ... read more

Visiting from Washington state. I entered the local Golden Chick here in Saginaw, Fort Worth, Texas and ordered 15 piece all dark (legs and thighs), just chicken. The cashier was pleasant and patient with me. After all was said and done, she stated the total comes to $42 and change. WHAT?? When did chickens become an endangered species? Oh yes, l know now, your company name has the word "Gold" in it. One would have to cash in one's gold bars (not that I have any) in order to purchase your chicken. Needless to say, I had to politely decline and left the premises. We found a nearby Albertson's where 16 pieces (just chicken) cost about $22.00. The pieces were huge, hot and tasty, just what the doctor ordered. I don't plan on eating at a Golden Chick anytime in the future. I worked hard for my money. read more

Excellent fried chicken!! Awesome staff- they customize how i want the pieces of fried chickens and suggest lower cost to order. read more

Great fried chicken and homemade fresh rolls. No soft serve ice cream. It is in the gas station.

The best chicken strips in Texarkana. Always have had great service and a very clean restaurant .

Review on drive through and the fried chicken. I didn't get a chance to go inside. Super fast drive through. They do not waste time here. I ordered a family meal and everything came out perfectly, in six minutes or less. The drive through speaker was easy to understand and the menu was easy to read. Heck even the people who handed me my food were nice to me. The lady who handed me my chicken even called me "honey" and wanted to know if I wanted extra napkins. To me that is extra bonus customer service. All in all a pretty speedy chicken place. As for the food its fried chicken that you can't go wrong with. Its crunchy and tasty, not a dry piece of chicken to be found. The sides of mac and cheese plus the green beans went together with our meal. I look forward to going back and trying some other fried chicken goodness. read more

Golden Chick - 8 piece family or A "Jinny" Pack. - Fast Food Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

Pretty busy. Way better than I expected. Chicken and sides were great. I ordered online but they didn't put my order together until I got there. Totally understandable as they had a pretty long line, drive thru orders and web orders. read more

The hot yeast roll from here is pretty amazing, but the rest of the food that I had was just ok. I drove past the first time, and I'm glad I saw David M.'s review so that I knew this location is attached to a gas station. They still have a drive-thru, so you can be lazy and not have to get out of your car. I ended up with the Combo #1 (4 Chicken Tenders, Side of Fried Okra, Hot Yeast Roll, Country Gravy, Drink, $6.99), and it took a little over 5 minutes to place my order and receive by food. As I mentioned earlier, the roll was the BEST part of the meal- it had a wonderful buttery taste, and was soft and fluffy. The chicken tenders were just ok- the crispy parts on the outside were the best, and it went well with the country gravy (although I wish this was seasoned a bit better). The fried okra wasn't crispy enough and kind of bland, but I liked the Lotta Zing spicy seasoning I got on the side. I'm bummed I didn't see the corn nuggets, since those sound really good, so may have to stop by again to give those a try and get my complimentary soft serve (this probably requires actually getting out of the car though..). Overall, not a bad place to try a local fast food chain since they are nearby a freeway entrance. The yeast roll is definitely worth checking out!! read more

First of all they are extremely unprofessional talking in slang. Second of they don't know how to count they only gave my 3 rolls when it called for 6. Third, they completely missed the fact that my family meal comes with two side and didn't give me my corn nuggets. This is not the first time they haven't gave me a item and charge me full price! read more

First time at Golden Chick, I ordered 6 wicked wings and roll. The wait was 15 minutes. I must say it was well worth the wait. The wings were just enough, next time I will order the 9 pcs!!! Simple review, will have to go back to try the fish and the chicken. read more

I've had their tenders catered before and loved them. This is my first time going into a store. The TV playing has obvious screen damage, so that wasn't a great first impression. I ordered the tender sandwich, which looked incredibly beat-up when I unrolled its paper wrapping. Two strikes for aesthetics, but only pleasant surprises after that. The sandwich is actually in a biscuit, not a bun (it looks like a bun but is clearly biscuit dough!), and it has a buttery honey-mustard sauce in there. Very tasty and incredibly filling! The biscuit/bun was a little doughey, but was cooked enough to not be considered raw or undercooked (so just not quite enough for my tastes). I'd say they were a solid 4 if not for the damaged tv and unattractive presentation of the food. **Edited for a grammatical error. read more

The food was great and so was the service, it was a little slow but there wasn't many workers and the food definitely compensated. Our cashier was extremely friendly a polite. Made for a great stop! read more

First timer! The line and wait was about 30 mins! I couldn't believe it..but we waited anyway. They did not disappoint..the fried chicken, macaroni, rolls, corn nuggets were amazing! We will be back to try more things on the menu! Also the drive-thru gentleman was very kind! read more

My 4 stars are based on a "fast food" level, not to be confused with "fine dining". Friendly service at counter. Orders are super quick, and accurate. Food is hot and fresh at lunch (2x), nothing greasy, old. Place is usually clean, or being cleaned. Obviously well managed. Even though connected to a 7-11 and gas station, you won't notice that much once inside. read more

Staff is lazy and ignores you then gets very aggressive when you try to actually order. Be careful at this location.

I pulled in to the drive thru to place my order. Someone greets me and I say just one moment. Once I'm ready to order no one responds to me. I say hello at least three times. No response. After 5 minutes some lady greets me again but with an attitude. Poor customer service once I finally got to the window the manager was rude and some girl was eating Cheetos in the drive thru window. Got home food was warm and I live 2 minutes away and my tenders weren't spicy like I asked. Ugh. read more

I have never been on the inside but the drive-thru is pretty fast. The service is pretty fast and the staff are nice. The food is the typical fried chicken spot. I don't find anything particularly special about this place. I do like the yeast rolls and dirty rice. read more

Yes yes yes! Chicken was hot, juicy and flavorful, yeast roll was hot, and service was fast! The yeast rolls are to die for!

I have eaten here twice and had a bad experience both times. I ordered the catfish and was told it would be a 9 minute wait. I agreed and was told to pull up and wait. Fifteen minutes later a lady brought meet my food. I checked my order and it was wrong. No roll, no fork or knife. (Is catfish finger food?) Only 3 fillets instead of the 5 I paid for. So I had to go inside to get the order corrected. Next time, same 15 minute wait. No fork. No napkins. Man who brought order to me had a bad attitude. I asked him to wait while I checked my order. He refused and went back inside. Once again I had to get out of car and go inside to get order corrected. Won't be back. read more

The food we received was okay, but our order was missing our 4 rolls and gravy. Also our family sides were served in a small plastic drinking cup. Definitely not a family sized side. I tried to call the number listed online and it has been changed with no new number listed. read more

Yeah, this location is housed in a gas station. Once I got over that trashy aspect, I ordered a chicken strip meal: 4 strips, choice of side (plenty to choose from but you have to ask what they are...I chose mashed potatoes), fountain drink, and a "hot yeast roll." Something about "hot yeast" doesn't jive with me but I digress. The food was surprisingly better than I expected. I would say it's a step up from Church's/Popeyes for sure. The strips were not heavy with batter. Hard to describe other than flakes of batter covered the strips. The mashed potatoes were instant I'm sure but still pretty tasty. Next time, you're filling up at Trinity and 360, grab some chicken and some hot yeast! read more

The worker barely talked loud enough to hear and they had an attitude. Nobody wanted to be there and they forgot the gravy

Rule #1: NEVER eat in a restaurant attached to a gas station. Thankfully, there is an exception to every rule. This place was amazing. The fried chicken was excellent and fresh, the okra was perfectly cooked, the yeast rolls melted in your mouth, and FREE ICE CREAM?! Come on now. Service was friendly and fast. And at 8 dollars for a three piece, one side, a roll, and a giant drink: the price was right. This place totally shocked me. Will be back. read more

Very good! Food was hot and fresh! Order was ready before I could sit down. The ice cream was great! This is what's to be expected out of this franchise. Always good at every location I've patronized. read more

Went into Golden Chick today for the first time. Only 2 people in there, but the food sitting under the heat lamps looked relatively fresh. I purchased $6.83 worth of feed and was then told I could only get BBQ sauce or Ranch to dip my tenders in or purchase the sauce separately for another .64 cents. That's terrible. Just terrible to nickel and dime a paying customer. read more

Okay, you do have to keep in mind that this is a chicken place connected to a gas station- so with that said..... For a quick lunch when you need something ASAP in general is not bad. Not that good but not that bad. Chicken was mostly crispy and I did not have a chance to try any of the side items. Probably not much home made but I was in and out literally within minutes. So quick, easy, inexpensive- for what it is taking into account not bad. read more

Just moved to the area from Houston and have been seeing this place; as we don't have any there. I decide to check it out after reading the reviews.
