I walked in for a gel manicure and I was greeted promptly and offered a selection and a seat. The technician Mary was wonderful! She really took her time and paid so much attention to detail! I have short nails and have to keep them short and neat for my job so I was pleased when I didn't catch an eye roll for asking for them so short. I love Tina- she is patient with design, and works hard to make your nails look great! I recommend an appointment if you want a special design. I brought in 2 friends with me, and now they are regulars too! I never paid much attention to my nails, but about a year ago I found out about shellac polish and it changed my game. I asked around at 4 different salons, and Tina is the only one who will work with tricky nail tape (see my pic). Came in after calling to make an appointment (I'd recommend you do that). Asked for fill and pedi. Tina did pedi, Jim did fill. Jim was very serious while Tina was very kind and friendly. Pedi - great. Tina was so good at massaging that I paid for extra. Highly recommended. Fill - Jim was very serious. Asked me how much I paid at my salon back home, which I felt uncomfortable answering because I felt he may be trying to hike up the price if I was willing to pay more. He kept repeating that he did a better job (than my salon) because the nails were made to be more narrow now (I couldn't really tell that much of a difference). He was a bit rough, especially when filing. I was sure there would be blood, but there wasn't. When he finished with the powder, he spilled some of it, shouting profanity. Maybe I would too if it cost a lot (I have no idea how expensive powder is). Then when it came time for gel, I accidentally hit my thumb on the dryer. He pulled it out and painted over it, but you know how THAT goes. When all was dry, there was a bump and bubbles on the thumb. Sigh. I let him know, and I got the huffs. You know, the treatment when you end up wasting ALL their gel on ONE fingerbed. God forbid. He fixed it, but didn't fail to reiterate that I was the one who caused the problem. Yes, Jim. I know. Knocked a star off for that one. OVERALL: Clean, took their time, nails look good, Tina was great...I'd go back, and I would recommend you go as well. Sparse nail polish application. After showing the nail technician a picture of the color and design I wanted, they used a polish that was similar but was lacking the powder to make the nude nail polish more solid. They failed to have mentioned this until after my nails were done. They offered to fix it after, but I rather not deal with spending another hour here. Price was good for gel at $25. My friend and I came here on a quiet Friday night around 5 pm. I just got a regular manicure, while my friend got shellac. Even though we were basically the only ones in the salon, I still felt like our manicurists were rushing our treatment. Also, me and my friend got different experiences. I got hot towels to both hands and lotion for both hands/arms, but my friend didn't get the towels or lotion. I'm not sure why they are so inconsistent on something so simple; they should really fix that. My manicurist was also clearly annoyed at me when I asked her to fix my nail as it was drying. I am glad that they open later than most nail salons, 10am-8pm everyday! But that does not make up for the lack of service. read more

DO NOT GO THERE FOR A BIKINI. I asked to have everything removed but a thin line. Well first of all, she removed what should have been the line. Not a big deal I said, take everything off. It basically took 40 mins (i'm used to 20 maximum) of torture- I don't know if their wax is shitty or if she didn't know how to use it. She was actually quite meticulous, that's why she was so slow, but somehow the hair wouldn't come off. So she would use tweezers to remove them one by one. At the end I had to say it's ok and i've got tones of hair left. I also told her 15 times the wax was too hot and she kept on burning me. She asked $70 for that which I found was a fortune, and presented me the ticket for tips...and that was a no way. Oh and of course, it didn't include the butt but I had enough by the end so.. so the positives first: clean tools. negatives: my manicure literally lasted a day. i came here about a year ago and the same thing happened. then last week i was in a hurry so i decided to just drop in here on my way. within a day, the polish was peeling off like the crappy fake polish i used when i was 5. at my usual salon my manicure lasts at least 5 days, and often times up to a week. so at the end of the day, not worth the $14 for a one day manicure. thanks for cleaning your tools though! read more

Getting a manicure and pedicure is so much more than slapping some color on your nails. It's also very much about upkeep, maintenance, and tlc of your nails. I never really realized this until I watched the ladies at Westview hard at work today - diligently clipping off excess nail, taking care of my cuticles, picking away extra skin. I came in for a last minute appt half an hour before they closed, and they were kind enough to accommodate me. $35 for a mani/pedi. Agree with a previous poster that I've had more sloughing off of heel skin at other places but it is what it is. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but it's a great choice if you're in the area. read more

i play guitar and am a tomboy so having my nails and toenails up to par to have a mani/pedi is a big event. i've only had two pedi's ever (this being my second). i was actually quite impressed. i was seen imediately. i usually only get a french manicure. and i'm kinda picky (funny since i get it done so rarely.) paint only and please, for the love of god, make it all the same lenght. and it was done. i was really impressed with this place. there was no smell when i walked in and was clean. in the end, since i did get a french manicure for both hands and toes, i left spending about 49. which i guess is normal for the big city? since i moved here from nashville. end result: diggin it read more

the staff was literally so rude, i've never felt uncomfortable in a nail salon until now. i've also never felt inclined to leave a poor review but wow, when i asked to do polish instead of gel (before she started painting) she had a huge attitude with me and basically made me feel bad for choosing it for the rest of the time i was there. she kept saying "this design works better with gel next time you need to do gel" AFTER she started. maybe you should just learn how to do it well with polish sis, y'all need to listen to these reviews, so unprofessional. isn't the first rule in customer service to make your customers feel welcomed? well if you want to feel like that avoid this place at all costs. never coming back read more

I've only been here about 4 times. The 2nd time I was in, about a month or so after the first time, the owner totally remembered me. Unlike most nail salons, they don't rush for business or push you to come in while your calling to make an appointment. Each time I've made an appointment, I've never had to wait. I get there and someone is ready. I've even seen them turn away business to keep an appointment. That is RARE. I've seen rude customers come in and get frustrated because they broke a nail on a holiday weekend and are pissed because my manicurist won't stop what he/she is doing to fix their nail. They are loyal, polite, and do an amazing job. Not to mention it's a great place to people watch. read more

Everyone who works here is super nice & attentive. I regularly visit for manicures, pedicures, and waxing (eyebrows, lip, the occasional leg, & the nether regions). They do the best Brazilian wax I've found in the Pioneer Square / Downtown Seattle area... and have punch cards! The wax they use is a green tea wax, which leaves you less red & irritated afterward. Their pedicures are incredibly thorough, & they don't leave a gap between your polish & cuticle (huge pet peeve of mine). read more

My mom and I each got gel manis here, whilst visiting the Emerald City. The price, environment and service were all standard to what I've experienced in So. Cal. and we left as satisfied customers. However, I like to rate a business with 5 stars when I experience that little-something-extra that really makes a business stand out to me and Westview just didn't quite have it. Perhaps you may disagree. The receptionist from our hotel who recommended this place, as well as another lady receiving a mani during our visit, continue to patronize for a reason. Just had the most amazing nail experience I have had in a VERY long time!!!! I was so lucky to get Tina. She is so sweet and so caring! She is very precise and such a perfectionist. She made sure was happy with everything. She gave me a hot towel for my hands, and a massage, which I desperately needed. It was only $15 for a manicure. A pedicure is $35, but if you get both a manicure and a pedicure, it is $25! What a deal for such service. The entire experience was so relaxing. They have a sweet location, too. I had called beforehand to see if they'd be able to take me in before walking in 45 minutes before their close time on Sunday. I was less than a five minute walk away. It was great and fast because I was the only customer and had two technicians work on me to get the work done. They did a superb job. I would highly recommend the place. I took one star off only because there wasn't sufficient time to properly dry my nails even though they gave me the green light to come in. What a great nail salon! I was visiting from out of town and they gave me great treatment. I got regular polish for a mani/pedi. My polish does not have a single chip now a week later - not sure how they did this with regular polish but I'm loving it! Feet are still silky smooth after the deluxe pedicure. Staff was very nice. This place was really really clean, and the lady doing my toes was careful and gentle. She was also very conscientious about doing what I wanted. The only problem is that during the week they seem a little understaffed. When I was there at 11:30-ish am on a Monday, there were only two people working, and they had to turn away walk-ins.
