Update: My wife and I came here once before prior to the change in ownership. We dined in and I don't remember the atmosphere or the pizza being all that memorable. After patronizing another establishment in Star for the past year and a half or so, I decided to give Westside another try. My wife was out with friends and I was looking forward to staying home and eating pizza with a beer and watching TV. Westside is located just off Star, on Hercules, across from the strip mall that has The Hair Lounge and AnyTime Fitness. I believe they are now strictly pick up or delivery. They do have an app, which I used today after creating an account. I ordered the signature Westside pizza, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers. I actually ordered at about 1:45 to be picked up at 4:55. When I arrived, the pizza was ready and hot. I brought it home, got my frosted mug and poured my beer, and grabbed three slices. I threw some hot peppers on it, and dug in. This pizza was excellent. The crust was just the right thickness, not soft but somewhat crunchy, just the way I like it. There was ample cheesed and the toppings were plentiful and came together for a delicious flavor. I think I just found my new favorite pizza joint in town. read more

I ordered delivery this afternoon with some apprehension since the previous owners had such terrible pizza. Only had eaten there twice when the previous owners had it. I thought we would try it out since we hadn't had their pizza since the new owners bought it out. The pizza was very good. Ordered online, came in and while waiting I watched a young man answer the phone and take an order, go back to the working station, put his hand in the toppings and top a pizza. I noticed two delivery drivers come in, not sure anyone is washing their hands but at least those two put gloves on before going to the prep station. I've worked in restaurants before and that was a big no no for me. The manager on duty was nice and greeted me and I got my pizzas and they were good. Please wash your hands! read more

Hands-Down the Best Pizza Experience in Star, ID! I don't usually leave long reviews, but Westside Pizza in Star deserves this one. From the moment I placed my order to the moment I took that first perfect bite, everything was top-notch. I ordered their Grand size pepperoni pizza with garlic, and let me just say--wow. It was one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time! First off, let's talk about delivery--because they knocked it out of the park. I barely had time to finish setting the table when the doorbell rang. It was lightning fast, and the pizza arrived piping hot, just like it came straight out of the oven. You don't always get that with delivery, but Westside Pizza clearly takes pride in doing things right. Now for the pizza itself: that Grand size is no joke! It's perfect if you're feeding a crowd or if (like me) you want some delicious leftovers. The pepperoni was crispy at the edges and full of flavor--not greasy or bland like some places. And the garlic? It added this amazing depth of flavor without overpowering the rest of the pie. Every bite had the perfect combo of melted cheese, savory sauce, and that subtle garlic kick. We just moved to star from Reno and our very much a pizza loving family. This place is amazing. The pizza taste great every time we have ordered this pizza at least six times now and each and every time it is outstanding the staff inside is always friendly and it is close to the house. Decent pizza. Placed an order at 4:13 for a 4:50 pickup. I did not receive my pizza until 5:40. I was continually told by staff the order would be a few more minutes instead of being honest from the start that there would be an additional 45 minute wait. In hindsight I wish I went to one of the other pizza establishments near by. read more

Mike was super took care of our order efficiently. He was super friendly and the of the food was super excellent. My family was excited and the food was super fresh. This has been my go-to pizza place in a sea of options here in Star, but we haven't had pizza in a few months for dietary reasons. Since my last visit the establishment has changed ownership, and I must say not for the better. I ordered online and the food was ready promptly as promised, but I was surprised when I went to pick it up that there were only two pizzas ready in the whole place. Shocking for a Friday evening. It became evident why IMO, the crust was extremely bland and the pizza overall was meh. Quite a change from the last several years we've been customers. The pizza is great. Having so many pizza places here in Star, there are several levels of quality of pizza. I wouldn't say it's gourmet pizza, but taking the price, and quality it's still stands above the rest. We like Westside as the service is great and a great bang for your buck. The restaurant is great for families since it has games for the young ones. Westside is a definite go to for pizza as it's clean and good food. read more

Chronically average pizza. Frozen Freschetta pizza is better from grocery store. Every time we have ordered here after a sports game it is same disappointment. Terribly dry bread sticks. Pizza is just like soft cardboard covered in plastic like cheese that doesn't seem to be melted or not melted. It's weird. Can't comprehend the 5 star reviews where any celebrates this as real pizza. Disappointed Star has this as the local pizza place. It's horrendous. Luckily Papa Johns in eagle delivers to Star. Plus side, staff is great. People are friendly and helpful. This is my 455th review and I am a fan! You see signs for Westside Pizza from the street, but when you turn into the parking lot there is no signage so you just have to wing it as to which door you go into. Walking in you see games and a claw machine. The menu is clearly on the board. They have many teenagers working and they have the customer service skills of their generation (draw your own conclusion). I ordered a chicken salad, and a large one-topping pizza with a 2-liter of soda for $12 and added a topping for $1.50. I downloaded their app and had a coupon for free breadsticks so we got those, too. Rach or Marinara Sauce is an extra $.50. All of which was pretty good. Not above average, not below-- just pretty good. Good ranch though! Now, my brother-in-law attempted the death by pizza challenge: 18-inch pizza with 8 toppings and two layers of cheese-- the pizza is mammoth. You get 1 hour to complete it. If you do so, you get the pie for free and $100! Whoa!! Score!!! If you vomit, you owe them $100 for cleaning fee plus the pizza cost. If you just simply lose you pay $28 for pizza, which is a good price for it anyway as it can feed an army. If this is something you would like to attempt, you need to call 48 hours in advance if possible. He lost, was too much! He took the leftovers home and made omelets out of the toppings the next day and still had left-overs. I took a bite and it was super good. You can order this pizza without attempting the challenge. This establishment is franchize and different than the one in Boise. The Groupon doesn't work at this location. They may have different rules for the challenge so make sure to call. There are a few Youtube videos of this place and the challenge if this interests you. They make it look easy but it's not! Bring cash for the games. They do not have an ATM machine and they don't do cash back-- they do have a coin change machine, but not many people carry cash these days. read more

Regular pizza was no better than frozen from the grocery store. Gluten free pizza was expensive, very dry, and the crust was like cardboard. We also ordered two orders of cheese bread with two different sauces. We were charged seperately for one of the sauces, but it was not included with our order. We called about the missing sauce, they offered a refund of $0.50. We had been wanting to give Westside Pizza a try. We won't be ordering from them again. read more

It was ok, nothing was bad but it wasn't particularly special or memorable either. Several other local places have better pizza. The place is also located in a sort of weird random spot, and when you drive up to it it looks closed from the outside. They do have a gluten free option which I appreciate since I have family members who can't have gluten. read more

I ordered a gluten-free, dairy free Death by Pizza. There is an up charge for the gluten-free crust, non-dairy cheese and the Death by Pizza which made my medium pizza over $20. On top of that they didn't have the non-dairy cheese and offered me an additional topping but not my money back. I usually am very fond of this pizza but the last couple of times I've ordered it, it was subpar. Now that the price is so expensive I don't think I will be back. Solid pizza, exceptional customer service. Ordered delivery for the first time last night. Pizzas came and I realized one of them was wrong when I finally got around to opening the boxes. Debated on whether or not to call in because it wasn't major and we were going to eat it regardless but I'm glad I decided to. Spoke with Tommy. Not sure if he's the manager or owner, but he's a rock star. He helped me understand the online ordering better and insisted on making the situation right. He was extremely apologetic and said he would make a new pizza himself, have his driver come back out to our house to deliver it and include a coupon for a free large pizza on our next visit. I probably asked "are you sure?" at least 5 times because like I said, it really wasn't a big deal but it was clear that it was important to him that he do this for us. He even called awhile after we initially spoke to give me an update on the status of the new pizza. Really good gluten free pizza! A little on the pricier side, but haven't been disappointed in the flavor each time I've ordered.

As a new resident of Star ID I try to support local businesses. I have tried very hard to support this business but after 3 delivery orders that arrived a half hour or more late and pizza being cold, I am done. I thought that if I tipped 20% or more I might get their attention, but NO. The pizza is good if it's hot but service is terrible. I will wait until we get better options in Star. read more

We tried this place on a recommendation from a friend. We ordered Buffalo wings and a Grand Death by Pizza. So the wings were ok. Not really spicy at all but unfortunately they were cold in the middle. The last one was practically still ice. The owner, when he inquired about the wings, was very kind and took the wings off our bill. However the real star of this was the pizza! This thing was definitely "grand" in size. The crust was amazing. Like garlic bread practically. The pizza had tons of toppings but they weren't falling off the crust! They also seem to finish the pizza with a sprinkle of herbs. The pizza more than made up for the negative experience with the wings. To top it off, they really went the extra mile by making us a fresh order of wings to go as an apology. My husband loves Pasta, and he gives a 8 1/2 I love their pizza. I love the crust. The last pizza was the thin crust and I did a boo boo and I didn't double up on toppings . So the toppings on there weren't spread up with the crust so it was good but next time I would definitely add more toppings read more

For example my friend and I were hungry and totally forgot that we had money in our bag and so he said that he wanted to go to Westside Pizza. The man that was there to take our order was super nice he gave us a medium pizza with cheese on it. Literally ordered a pizza at 5:20 today. It's now 6:40. I was quoted 20-25 minutes. When I called they said they "believed" it was out for delivery. That was 10 minutes ago. This is the second time that I've ordered pizza for pickup and the second time they got my order wrong. First time I called in and ordered for pickup, they forgot to make my pizza and apologized and started it when I got there. Pizza was ok. Last night I ordered 2 different pizzas and they made one pizza twice. I waited for them to make my other pizza correctly. They did give me all 3 pizzas for the price of the 2 that I paid for which was nice, however, all 3 pizzas were overcooked. Basically they were dry and tasteless.
