The veggie pizza needs some adjustments: When I ordered garlic on my pizza, I expected it to be fresh garlic. It was canned, minced garlic piled on to my pizza. It was nasty. I use that stuff for cooking but would never put it raw on my pizza. There are giant pieces of raw tomato and artichoke hearts. These should be thinly sliced and baked in the oven with the other veggies. Instead they were just thrown on so I picked them off to eat the pizza. Please use real garlic and use cooked ingredients for your veggie pizza and I will come back. Thank you! read more

I am so very hesitant with this update. I am using the stars to 4, because this place has absolutely amazing pizza. This time we ate in and the service was amazing. We didn't have to wait to order, our drinks were served immediately. Again, I ordered a gluten free pizza, love the crust! It's growing on me. This time it came with cheese, which I can't eat. I know, I know, weird requests. I can eat what I can eat. The husband got pepperoni, it was amazing. And he got to try the regular crust this time and he really liked it. I tried the pepperoni and it was great! My sister got the salad bar, which has an amazing selection! I did not have a chance to try it. The pineapple was fizzy, which won't make you sick but is a sign of it being old and starting to ferment. We all tried it, They immediately replaced it...no big deal. It happens. There's a new pizza place in town! I've been a loyal customer to another local pizza establishment that recently raised their prices by 20%, so I thought I'd try something new. I placed my order online with Mountain Mike's and it was ready in 20minutes, exactly what they estimated. The pizza looked so GREAT that I grabbed my phone to take a pic before digging in! The pizza exceeded my expectations- flavorful and hot! The Chocolate Mini Churros were delicious! Mountain Mike's has some seating and an arcade. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. We have actually never eaten at any Mountain Mike's and have heard all the rave reviews on the salad bar (long live Souplantation) so we had to try. We were greeted immediately with a sweet, friendly hello and helpful explanation of the menu. We ordered 2 small pizzas (the cheeseburger pizza ordered was not available as a mini), one-time salad and 2 drinks...$44! Just that price alone knocked off a star. Pizza did come out slower than expected but they seemed to be pretty busy with take out orders, so we understood. We were the only people sitting inside to eat at 6pm. Cheeseburger pizza was a fun little thing to try...I loved the crispy pickles and freshly chopped tomatoes that made up for the chunks of flavorless meat. The crust was pretty good...loved the crispy cheese that was on every edge. Hubby had the sausage small pizza and liked it, though wasn't as much of a fan of the crust. It was Christmas Eve, and our son and his fiancee were visiting from out of town. We had just finished church, and were wanting to take them out to dinner. Unfortunately, all of our preferred sit-down, full service with ambiance restaurants were either closed or closing soon. At the last minute, we called Mountain Mike's to pick up some pizzas for takeout. We even had a special order for the fiancee, who needed vegan and gluten free. This location was open until 9 pm, and the staff were very nice. Our pizzas were done according to the timeframe we were given, and we have come to appreciate the quality of their pizza. The crust, toppings, and amount of cheese are all to our liking. This is now our official go-to pizza place in Star. read more

Have tried Mountain Mikes Pizza a number of times and they are consistently disappointing. Not much difference from the big chain pizzas in this area but they are by far the most expensive. It's just conveniently the closest to my home. This last time the crust was burnt, and they informed me when they handed me the pizza "oh we ran out of sausage". I ordered on the app. Pretty easy other than the fact you have to put your credit card in before you can even go on the app. I live around the corner so I just carried out. The parking lot is a nightmare. I'm sure once the newness wears off it will be less popular and may be better. It's on a crowded corner with residential houses and a soon to be gas station. The inside is clean and obviously new. The salad bar looked good and there seemed to be enough room for my son's wheelchair so that is good. The pizza was ready at the time assigned and the staff was nice and accommodating. I ordered a half and half pepperoni Xtra cheese and sausage extra cheese., An Everest minus the mushrooms, fries and a garlic knot. The pizza overall was solid 3 out of 5 mainly because it was over cooked, close to burnt. Which I was surprised they served because the bitter taste was there. So we just kinda ate around the burn. The half and half had plenty of pepperoni and sausage and I did like the slices were small so they were easy to eat. The Everest was good. I love the veggies and I felt like they were cut so thinly they just weren't there. My husband was happy to give me his. The pepperoni was crispy and delicious. The fries were warm and cooked through. My husband is a fan of them! I was disappointed in the garlic knots they were supposed to be buttery and garlicky, I didn't get that at all, they tasted like left over pizza dough that was twisted and renamed. I refused to pay for the ranch to go with them (what company doesn't give the first ranch for free). Which, that may just be an app thing but it makes me mad. Overall, 70.00 later seemed a lot for what we got. Star has so many pizza choices. I would like to go try the buffet and salad bar and see how it compares to my favorite Idaho Pizza Company. read more

Stopped in for the lunch buffet. Only one person working. To her credit, she was trying very hard to keep up doing everything. Only two pizzas on the "buffet". One was cold and the other had so much grease on it they were puddles of grease on the plate. Wanted to get a cold beer also but only two of the eight taps were working. Ordered a couple pizzas for carry out after a long night and our usual favorite places were already closed. I didn't realize the slices were cut into appetizer sized slices. These were literally the smallest slices of pizza I've ever seen cut and I feel pretty deceived by a "12 slice" medium pizza. Great pizza! Great service too :-) Unfortunately, they don't offer nor accept any coupons. Boo! Two large pizzas here cost almost $60, while the SAME pizzas at their N Eagle Rd location cost less than $30 (Too bad the N Eagle location is an hour round trip most days). So, we usually settle for Dominos. But on the rare occasion we're filling rich, we do eat here (Would be 10x as often if they had coupons for something other than chicken wings.) read more

The first time we tried this wAs dismal, however the management actually cared about their customer satisfaction and offered to replace our first order at no charge. That second order was delicious! Exactly what we ordered, matched the description and pictures. I've backed it to 4 stars because it does somewhat depend on who is working (I guess) how well the orders are made. We always order the Mt Vegimore and it should come with fresh sliced tomatoes. About half the time they are pulverized chopped tomatoes and about half the time there are only a couple artichoke hearts. Overall though it's good pizza. read more

So good!! Complete nostalgia from our time in CA and just as I remembered! We ordered online for delivery and it was very easy! Only an extra $3. Arrived at our door on time and hot. Ordered a medium extra sausage and cheese pizza for delivery. It was very disappointing. Not only did it not have extra sausage but the overall look was it didn't have enough sausage to be considered a regular portion. Most pieces had one small piece of sausage and at least 4 pieces didn't have any sausage at all. The sauce was bitter. Probably too much oregano. I paid $30 that included delivery fee and tip. I'll stay with Papa Murphy's! For this price they need to do better. read more

I really wanted to like this place after hearing from my California friends how good it was back in Cali, but no, I don't think I will be back. Service was fine - greeted well when we walked in. We both ordered the lunch buffet that includes pizza, salad bar and cheese bread - drinks are extra. Salad bar wasn't bad at all. Nice variety, seemed fresh. My only complaint with the salad bar is they didn't offer a honey mustard dressing, but I can live with that. Cheese bread seemed overcooked and more crunchy than soft. I watched for them to bring out fresh to try (in case it had just sat out too long) but was the same as the older. As far as pizza goes, they had 4 pizzas out. 1. Half ham and pineapple half pepperoni. 2. Pepperoni. 3&4. Combo with pepperoni. So, if you don't like pepperoni, you are limited to ham and pineapple. Well, you guessed it, I don't like pepperoni so my only option was the ham and pineapple. I only had one bite. Nothing to write home about. I would say, save your money and go to Idaho Pizza Co. It will save you $3.30 for pizza, salad, breadsticks and a drink and food is much better! read more

We were so excited that Mountain Mike's was opening up in Star. Since it's a chain we just assumed it tasted the same as all the other Mountain Mike's we've eaten at. Unfortunately, this location has the worst dough and does not taste like Mountain Mike's at all besides the pepperoni. The crust is so hard it's like eating cardboard and we ended up just eating the cheese and toppings off the pizza because the crust/dough was so horrible. If you want Mountain Mike's pizza the way it should be, go to the location in Meridian. read more
