Unfortunately I don't make it out to Emmett often, but now have more of a reason for a quick road trip. The one bummer was all their beer offerings were IPAs, except Budwiser and Coors Light. For people who like good beer but not IPAs there wasn't really an option. So we stuck with soda.

As we all know, anybody that has been to one of these places, specifically Tony's, we realize this…read moreis a five star operation. So I'm going to start by saying this is actually a five star. The operation is simple, like any other order, then be seated with your food brought out to you, you step up to the counter, look at the options, order, and pay, and they will hand you a number to take back to your table with you. Drinks and condiments are just around the corner to the left of the cash register, out in the main dining area. There's an incredible amount of outdoor seating right along the road. Umbrella tables with nice quality tables and chairs awaits all diners. Why did I rate it a four star then? I had to get the attention of people and the employees to make sure that it stays a five star. The food is delicious, I won't use the word perfect but it's as close to perfect as you're gonna get. There really is no perfect when you think about it, it's all subjective. I got a Sicilian and the crust is thick and fluffy with a light crunch on the bottom and plenty of sauce and meat for a topping. Just the right amount of cheese. Flavor is out of this world. I love how the pepperoni curls up. It gets crispy on the edges The staff we're totally helpful and extremely professional and friendly. No complaints there. The ambience is typical New York style. Slice house quality. The concept of ordering a pizza that appears to be cold or cooked earlier in the day and then reheating it is going to be foreign for some, but that's the way they do things and it's spot on my opinion. Well, this is the first time at this location to this particular establishment, I've heard a lot about his operation and people love it. I've been to other similar operations back east and this is legit, only cleaner. Here's the downside. Food Handling and hygiene 101. An employee in the kitchen area walking around with their disgustingly, filthy phone, because we all know that everybody takes it to the bathroom with them, with no gloves, it's not a positive experience for people that care about germs in the food prep area. Everything else was immaculate except this one individual, was walking around, leaning up against countertops and places with dirty jeans and in my mind, contaminating the entire food prep area. This is a no-no. Leave your phone in a place where you can't touch it and customers won't see you use it. But if you have to, for crying out loud, wash your hands before you go back to the food prep area. Never bring your phone out in a food prep area because they're disgusting. I will be back, but if I see a phone in the food prep area again, I'll give it a one star. I'll be back but watching closely.

First time here, and probably not a go-to for me in the future. The pizza slices sit under a warmer…read moreall day, so I avoided those, but you can purchase full pizzas, made fresh. I do like that they have different styles of crust: Sicilian, New York, Detroit, & Grandma. We went with the Grandma crust, but would love to try the Sicilian crust. As for the pizzas, we ordered the BBQ Chicken and the Cal Italia. The crust was excellent. Crispy around the edges, and soft and buttery everywhere else. Great combo of flavors for each, but honestly, they're very stingy with the meat, especially on the Cal Italia. We got ONE very small piece of prosciutto per slice. If you add the little pieces together, you might be able to piece together a full slice of it. Let's just say they're heavy on the cheese and light on the rest of the toppings, but I'm basing this off only three pizzas. I will also say their medium-sized pizza costs $24, so there's no excuse for the slim pickins. The third pizza was a bite of a slice that my husband ordered on the way out. It was a blackberry/potato/cheese/red pepper flake pizza that I don't remember the name of, but my husband loves ot! He likes the sweet with the heat. I tried a bite, and I totally disagree...not a good combo. The potatoes doesn't vibe with the rest of the ingredients, IMO. The outdoor patio is huge and they allow dogs out there, plus there are two corn hole games available to play while you're waiting for your pizza to bake!

Upon entering, the staff was attentive to greet. Pleasant people with pleasant smiles. The prep bar behind the counter was fully stocked and looked great. Clean and orderly. They were quick to take the order and with precision the two people behind the counter, jumped into action, each knowing their job well. The guy that greeted me was a great conversation list and asked how my day was going and if I had anything fun planned. Good personalities. I told him I was a little surprised there weren't many people in the restaurant and he had said that the night time was their busy time. I'll make a mental note of that. The pizza I ordered was a two item, pepperoni and salami, with extra pepperoni and extra sauce, and it was fantastic as usual. I usually order the thick crust and it did not disappoint. The only reason I gave it a four was because the tables weren't as clean as they could be. That seems to be a recurring issue here, but definitely not a showstopper for me. Other than that everything else looked good. Parking is ample, right behind the O'Reilly here on the corner of Chinden and Linder on the north east corner. Definitely come here and try it out.

Lacks flavor of sauce and the toppings were somehow not great either. I ordered the closest thing they had to a Neapolitan. I had to send mine back to continue being cooked due to the doughy center. I went for the half off later because I'm exhausted from work and didn't want to drive (that's why I got delivery). But then the manager told her he couldn't put us in the book for more than $5 off??? That's not even half the price of the pizza!!!! What a JOKE offer. Not blaming the girl just confused why the manager would give a slap in the face offer like that. So I accepted the free pizza and soda instead. But when we got there we couldn't get the soda anymore? You HAVE to honor what we were told it's actually against the law to not! And over a SODA? That's so cheap and BAD BUSINESS of this manager. We won't be spending money here again. After having this horrible experience I see this is a common problem at this location. Just stay away! And be sure to look up who owns the franchise and what others they have and no go to other locations they own either! And to top it off the replacement we did get THEY DIDNT DOCK so when it cooked we got these bubbles in the dough all over!!! What a WASTE OF MONEY. Do NOT come here.
