Eugene Windshield Repair was able to get me in the next day, and the repair itself only took about 25 minutes. All the employees I interacted with were very kind and professional. They explained that they could go through my insurance if I wanted (since it was just a chip, I opted to pay out of pocket, a very reasonable $75), and all about the lifetime warranty. They also sent me out the door with a care package that included some clear stickers in case I ever get another chip so I can keep the dirt out, plus a coupon for a free coffee at The Human Bean! This was a new experience for me because I'm used to pulling into a brick and mortar building for automotive issues. Well, MK Auto Glass is more of a portable service which probably helps keep costs down. They came to my home with everything they needed in a company van. The service tech obviously knew what he was doing. He went about his business very professionally in removing various components to access the glass, specialized tools for removing and cleaning off old sealants and debris, cleaning off the framework, wiping and applying new sealants.... This was one of those situations where they are displaying total competence and quality workmanship. The job is done and all is perfect with the new glass, including realigning the rear view mirror. Scheduling was easy and they even offered to give me a ride which was not needed, but truly appreciated. Sadly, the quality of work just isn't there. The window tint on 2 of my windows is peeling on the edge and squeaking and there are hundreds of small bubbles/debris in the tint from what I am assuming is poor quality microfiber towels used to clean the windows. The tint was also not cut properly in several areas leaving an unsightly gap at the top of each side window. I went back to inquire on having them redo the windows and received a great deal of pushback and excuses about the debris. In the end they agreed to redo 2 of the windows, but given the results I later decided that I wouldn't really be happy and am going elsewhere to have my tint redone. If you aren't picky and just looking for a good price this place might be for you, but if you have a nice car or are an enthusiast who appreciates high quality of work it is probably best to look elsewhere. Hopefully the owner(s) take this review as an opportunity to perfect their craft and work toward better results for their customers. I always hesitate to leave less than favorable reviews for any business, but I have to be honest when I say my experience just wasn't great.
