We we having some issues with our irrigation system and called Ron on a Friday. Although this is the busy season for landscapers, he was able to schedule an appointment the following Tuesday afternoon to assess and trouble shoot our problem. Within an hour he had replaced the faulty parts, shown us how to raise the sprinkler heads and reduced the water pressure which he determined was too high. This is the second time we've called Ron and he's always friendly, knowledgeable and his service fee won't break the bank. If you are looking for a prompt, professional landscaper who really knows his stuff, Tender Earth Yard Care is the one I recommend. Doug W. read more

Ron is great - he first did a consultation/walk through with us at our newly purchased home; he was very knowledgeable and shared his expertise on what to do to maintain. Then today he came to do a clean up, and the whole yard looks fantastic. He spent the time to go through every area of the yard to tell us what he did and help us maintain it ourselves in the future. Next he will be putting in irrigation. We couldn't be more thrilled with his service! read more

Great attention to detail! Tender Earth understands yard planning, irrigation, hardscapes, and softscapes. They do great work.

Ron and his team did an amazing job with our yard! We had weeds taller than we are, and they cleared everything out, took excellent care of the landscape, and helped us look ahead for maintaining everything. Not only was the work worth every penny, but Ron coached us on how to take care of the yard, identified the needs of our varieties of plants and folage, and educated us on how to work with our yard seasonally. Ron's knowledge and expertise are priceless!!!! When they say full service, they mean it. We felt extremely taken care of, and we highly recommend Tender Earth yard care. Thanks, Ron! read more

They did a great job of general cleanup and dethatching and seeding our back yard. Grass is coming up now and it looks great. Ron was very knowledgeable and responsive to texts and phone calls. We'll use them again next year! read more

Tender Earth Yard Care was very professional and responsive. They went above and beyond explaining how to manage the various plants and growth in our new home. They made sure to tailor the maintenance plan to our preferences, such as avoiding herbicides in favor of environmentally-friendly approaches. Ron and his team did an excellent job executing the plan, and it was especially thoughtful of them to coordinate closely with Lane Forest's bark-blowing service. They even discovered our new home's long-forgotten irrigation system and explained how it worked! Thanks again, Ron! read more

I interviewed 3 possible landscape businesses and chose to work with Ron at Tender Earth. He responded quickly, was on time and wore a mask the whole visit. He was professional, polite and was able to communicate the vision he had for landscaping my front yard. His bid was very reasonable and he even suggested saving and replanting some of my existing plants. The first day he stripped off the grass and contoured the ground. The next day he created a beautiful dry creek bed with natural looking rocks & boulders. Now with his guidance I will choose plants and he will come back and plant them. I was very pleased with Tender Earth and Ron. read more

We called Ron because the pump in our backyard water feature was starting and stopping. He diagnosed the problem, removed the old pump, purchased a new one and returned to install it in two hours. He's knowledgeable, friendly, professional, prompt and just an all around great guy. Ron even trimmed a tree that was obstructing our view of the water feature. In the past when I've needed work done, I've had problems getting return calls from some of the larger landscaping firms. Often it's weeks before they can schedule an appointment. I left a message with Tender Earth Yard Care and Ron returned my call a couple of hours later. Ron is going to be our "go to guy" from this point on. read more

I called Tender Earth because I wasn't sure if the underground sprinkler system in my new home had been winterized or not. Instead of charging me to come out and take care of it in person, he spent 15 minutes on the phone with me and walked me through the system, step by step. In the process I learned a lot and felt empowered. read more

Ron was outstanding!! I would have given him a 10 star rating if that was possible.. Here is why... I had previously contacted many other businesses to help me build a fish pond. I wanted a natural look to it. A few of them failed to follow up and few others wanted outrageous $$ to do the work. Most of them didn't have much experience in building a pond. So at first I was skeptical if Ron could do the job. He showed me pictures of his previous work around ponds but what really got me excited was the passion he showed around landscaping, lots of great ideas and his genuine personality. He was very respectful with how I wanted it, and was straight forward with what was practical and what wasn't. Super reliable, very knowledgable and trust worthy. After weeks of prep work, he got the job done in just 2 days!! Very happy how it turned out. Made my dream pond come to reality. If u have any landscaping projects in mind.. he is your guy! No doubt I'll be reaching out to him again. read more

My son found Ron on yelp and it has been a wonderful experience! My yard is now the showpiece of the neighborhood. The transformation from listless to beautiful was accomplished in a few days. He is a very hard working and conscientious individual. If you are looking for a simply lovely yard transformation from an honest, creative and passionate human being then Ron is the perfect choice. Let me say that Ron was simply wonderful! Great attitude, knowledgeable, friendly, and worth every penny and more. He is more than a gardener, an honorable profession to start with, but also an artist with a great eye for detail and future growth. We loved the way he would trim or cut-back something and the then stand back and observe, then go back in and address areas that needed more help or touch-up. We had just bought a house in the south hills of Eugene. It had been on the market for a few months and the garden like landscaping was unattended, overgrown and just in very bad shape. Ron met with us to go over the whole land and gave us his opinion yet being very sensitive to our needs and desires. Since we take a more "managed" natural take on landscaping, he was keen to our interests. His quote was far better than anyone else's. He came at the time and day we agreed upon, a marvel in and of itself these days, and with his hard-working helper, cleaned and addressed every aspect of our landscaping, backyard and frontyard, about a quarter acre of land: trimmed unkept rhodies, laurels, lilacs, roses, ferns, and other plants, as well as taking out unwanted berry vines, bushes, poison oak and ivy. He trimmed all the hedges, as well as did an excellent job of clearing our obstructed view to the street exiting from our driveway without disrupting the beauty of the landscaping. All in all about 8 hours of work. Overall, he was simply fantastic. We are going to contract with him to do regular maintenance every month. read more

The transformation was amazing! At our first meeting with Ron, we knew we had decided on the right yard care specialist. He took the time to walk through our yard and help us make the right choices for the work we needed done. Professionalism at its best! We have a wall of laurels that were taking over and blocking all the sun from our yard and gardens that needed to be tamed. Ron cut every branch with hand trimmers, something I would have never expected. Most yard care companies would just use some kind of saw and damage the tender branches. Now the laurels will be healthier as they grow and fill in nicely. Great Clean up of the yard and Ron even took the care to bury one of my water lines to my garden, which will keep us from running over it with the lawn mower. I cant say enough about how wonderful the experience was working with Ron/Tender Earth Yard Care! Thank you so much for taking the extra time and energy with our project. Customer for life! read more
