Becca is simply AMAZING!!! My military macaw was up in a tree for 4 solid days. I had other arborists try to climb for her but to no avail. Becca not only took the job that nobody else could or would do, she succeeded even after I had given up all hope. Einstein, my very large military macaw was scared angry and in no mood to be handled by a stranger. Despite my reassurances that she was sweet and didn't bite, (honest, under normal situations she is a strictly non-violent bird) Becca took several painful bites but she didn't give up and remained extremely gentle and careful with a very stressed animal even while being attacked by her. I hesitate to leave too many details because I'm sure she doesn't EVER want to be called out on another parrot rescue but I couldn't let it go without giving her a mention somewhere. I had a 60ft poplar that was dead and dropping large chunks onto my duck pen and neighbors property. Nate (the owner) came out, quoted a rate that was competitive with the other people I had called and was able to quickly schedule a time to have it removed. I was pretty worried, considering it was up against a fence and surrounded by power lines. There was only a little more than a 45 degree area where it would be safe to drop it - but Nate and his crew took it down quickly and in safe little chunks. GreenTree came out and worked on the smokiest of days in summer 2023, pruning a beloved Japanese maple that just makes our back yard. Our landscaper was concerned that our tree would split in two if we ever had a bad storm. After running a bolt through the trunk and tethers in the canopy and removing a lot of old branches, our tree immediately seemed healthier and safer. During the big ice storm our area suffered mid January 2024, we lost a couple of twigs. Yes, twigs, not branches from this glorious tree. I'm quite sure that if Nate and his crew had not taken care of our maple, we'd have a big pile of firewood in the backyard right now. People say that customer service is dead. Nate and his crew put the customer back in their service. From scheduling an estimate to final cleanup, the crew was exceptionally professional and respectful. It was a very sad day when one of my native white oaks had to be taken down because it had died. The crew carefully removed it in amongst some heavy plantings with no damage jand they seemed to understand how difficult it was for me to see it gone. They also did some much needed pruning on a couple other trees that improved their overall aesthetic and will make them healthier. All in all having them work here for 6 hours was a pleasure. Nate at GreenTree Arborists was worth every penny. He is incredibly knowledgeable and personable. He came over for a walk through of the work I wanted done and his expertise was clear from the start. I had five trees for him to look at and we agreed to have him prune four as he determined the fifth didn't need it (he was not after a buck because he could have talked me into it!). We spoke extensively about my desires for how the trees would look and what the trees needed (lots of storm damage). Two of the trees were in the strip next to the street and he helped me navigate how to get a permit from the city and a tax write off. The people at the City know and respect him. Finally - the clean up was spectacular. He even cleaned up some of my leaves that he really didn't have to. I like to do a fair amount of tree pruning on my own. It's satisfying work when I can make some progress. But with our big Ash tree there came a point when my work couldn't address all the trees needs in a safe manner. So it was time to call the pros. This is how I met the folks at Green Tree. After a comfortable consultation we scheduled them to come back and remove a particularly heinous limb. A big one that was too high and arched over the neighbors property too. The day of the pruning went super smoothly despite the technical difficulty involved. Our neighbors and I were very happy with the results and more importantly the tree is better off! Nate at GreenTree Arborists trimmed some of the larger trees on our property some time back and he was great. He let all my neighbors know what work was being done and was very professional throughout all our dealings. Aesthetically his work really helped our yard out but the true test for me came during this last big windstorm.
