A 35' tree fell on our West Eugene shed & carport last night. I called Yard Transformations at 8 a.m. today, & Don was here within minutes to assess the situation. It was definitely unsafe with a possibility of more damage occurring, but he got on it immediately. By 3:30, the tree removal was complete, all debris removed & we feel safe again. He charged a very fair price for a tough job in the pouring rain. He even thought to take rooftop photos & video in case our insurance needed it. The high winds last week motivated me to bite the bullet and have someone out to see if we could save it or quote removal. Don, Kim and crew were fantastic and so hard working. They took out several trees including an elm tree over 100 feet tall and very close to houses. I was very impressed with all the equipment they had and the skill of the free-climber they had that safely took down the tallest part of the elm tree. The job took several days and they were dependable and great at communicating. They ground down all the stumps and some shrubbery stumps too. Don was recommended to us by Greg of Greg's Construction Service. He came when he said he would, was polite and friendly. Our back yard is a half acre and very over grown with black berries (did I mention I HATE black berries), dead branches, leaves and acorns. To name a few. Don listened to what I needed and wanted. You're not going to believe Don & crew! We had a nightmare from this ice tree storm; I am not exaggerating. Giant old oaks, several- 80+ years old. Don came out ASAP, returned my call immediately, showed up when he said he would, made assessment that it was dangerous for us and the house and came back like the next day with big equipment, trucks and the hardest working men- all sweet as can be, friendly and talented. The climber is wonderful (included in the amazing price is watching them hang off a tree with ropes and a dangling running chainsaw). Don & crew did so many extras I can't list it all, cleaned up the mess (mess we made too), and hauled off enormous pieces a normal human could not deal with. He walked through the yard with me, pointing out things that I hadn't even thought of, for example, trimming tree branches that would take out the power to our house on a windy day if just one or two branches broke off.
