Cash only but yelp says accepts cards. Credit card stickers on door but paper signs inside.

My second time coming here and, once again, the hours we're WRONG on Yelp. Went at 4 something today and they said they can't take me because they close at 5pm but Yelp says 7. First time I came they said they'd be open and they were closed. What in the entire world... smh. read more

I came here for a pedicure for the first time ever and I did not like the way they did my toes. The lady was rushing and my toes just looked horrible and lumpy (she added so much nail polish). When I left literally almost 2-3 hours later my toes still hadn't dried. When I took off my sandals it smudged all of my toes. The lady that did my toes had added something in the polish because it had run out and whatever she added must've made it hard for the polish to dry. I came back the next day so that they can fix my toes and I waited for almost 20 minutes to get the work done. I was irritated because there was 3 people that work there that were on their phones when I walked in. They seemed kind of rude. Also- the prices are way too high for the service. read more

Pros: 1) They always take walk ins. The wait is minimal. 2) Plenty of parking. Cons: 1) Customer service is not their strong point. They get annoyed when you are specific and tell them how you want your nails to look. I say "they" because I have had that experience with more than one technician. It's almost as if they take it personally. Sorry, but I have an opinion on how I want my nails to look. 2) Unsanitary waxing. Not sure how they think it's ok to use the same waxing dispensing tools on everyone. They don't use disposable sticks. Gross. read more

i'm wondering what the actual procedure is when someone makes an appointment. does the girl who takes the information (in person, no less) pretend to write it down after smiling and repeating the information, or is there just a complete disregard for any appointments actually in the book? come to think of it, i never even saw a book, so maybe there was nowhere to write down the nothing the girl wrote. all i know is i stopped in early last week to make appointments for me and two friends so that we would all be taken care of at the same time, and that was the farthest thing from what happened. that said, our toes look great and the polish selection is ample. strictly a cash only operation since their debit/credit card machine has been inoperable for over a year, and clearly there are no plans in the works to address this situation. read more

First-time customer here and I am completely disappointed! Came here for a pedicure which cost $15. I literally received a 25 minute pedicure with a 10 second massage half as$ job! The lady kept laughing and she did not understand a single word I was saying. Stay away and don't waste your time at this nail salon. PS even my polish was way off my toes. read more

After a horrible experience at Mod Nails in studio city, we decided to come here. Everyone was so attentive and treated my daughter and myself with respect. My daughter hates doing her nails but she said if we come back here she would come back with me. I guess I found our place. Thank you western nails for a nice experience! read more

Before I moved to AZ this was my go-to nail salon in the Valley. I'm not one to make mani/pedi appointments and even without appointments, I was always seated right away. The staff is very friendly and their prices are reasonable in comparison to other nail salons in the area. I usually get a gel mani and regular spa pedicure. I definitely recommend this place. They are ano frills, all business, get you in and out in no time kinda place. read more

I have had my nails done twice here so far. I like it enough that it is my new regular place. Tracy is excellent. They are great for REAL gel nails (not gel polish over acrylics). Popular, too. Make an appt. or expect to wait. read more

Great experience. Walked in was greeted right away , huge selection of colors so I found exactly what I was looking for , got a full set with gel and she did a great job and was quick! I wish I got her name - was also a great conversationalist. This will be my new nail place as i am new to the valley and this place is right down the street. Affordable too!! read more

I've been to this salon several times and generally I like it. Their prices are great ($26 for regular mani+pedi in a spa chair). It's much cleaner than most places in this area, the staff is nice and their chairs seem to be new. Also, they have a really good choice of nail polishes. However, I do have some remarks: You can only leave a tip in cash, you CANNOT add it to your credit card, so be sure to bring some cash. They seem to be "taking their time" in everything. If you walk in and see 2 people in the line front of you, be ready to wait for at least 40 minutes, sometime it can be longer. In general, they don't seem too enthusiastic about clients walking in, giving you a face "We're tired and want to go home, please go somewhere else". I came in once about 1,5 before they close and asked how long the wait was. They guy gave me that same look and told me that it would be at least 1,5 (!) hours, and I only saw 3 persons waiting. Anyways, I still go there sometimes, mostly on weekends, when I'm in no rush. read more

Western Nails - Thanks Tracy you did a fabulous job & you are a sweetheart I will be seeing you very soon!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Van Nuys, California

Went to them for 16 years. They would charge me extra for my own polish! They would charge me extra to do each toe nail a different color with my own polish. When they made a mistake in 16 years which was twice. They would not live up to fixing it, and would blame me for the fact that their white, was watered down and would streak with the verbiage, " all our customers know our whites and beiges turn bad colors" Really? Why didn't they tell me that when they suggested putting it on my fingers? Not even clean there. read more

This is the worst place for a manicure or anything. I didn't want to go to my usual nail salon, Velvet Nails, but that was such a bad idea! I should just stick to my usual. I thought it would be inexpensive, but I was charged more than I thought for the worst acrylics and pedicure I ever received in my life. This place should be shut down!!! read more

Peter is the best. My daughter and I are going to this nail salon for over 2 years now. Really professional !!

I passed by and decided to try out Western Nails on my day off. Everyone was very polite and I was seated within 10 minutes for my pedi. The massage chairs are great and I was happy with the service. I wish I would have read reviews before I went because I didn't bring cash and the yelper below was right, you cannot add tip to your card. I'll be sure and go back and tip Lani extra next time as she did a good job. I recommend this nail salon for a good deal....a $21 pedi is a steal. read more

I've been here quite a few times and I leave a happy customer. They have a variety of colors and the women here are all super sweet!

This place is consistent with the work they do, across the board with the staff. I have only been disappointed once with the work. That's usually my main focus after a mani/pedi, not so much what they do before they make everything pretty. For example, when getting the spa pedi, you won't get much of a foot scrub unless you make it a point to say that you want you feet scrubbed, you will not get much a foot/hand massage either. Their prices are reasonable too. read more

I had a great experience here, the ladies are really nice. Plenty of parking in the lot, so you dont have to worry about being late!

Always good to go with an appointment especially weekends. Peter does awesome gel and Cindi is always so awesome with my pedicure. Prices are reasonable and they aren't pushy for additional suggestions. read more

They said the couldn't do my nails and took 2 people after i walked in!!! From out of town!!! Extremely rude!!!!

It gets pretty busy here, but I won't go anywhere else. I am quite picky when it comes to my nails, but I am (almost) always happy here. Sometimes they phone it in, but even then, they are 10x better than anywhere else I've been. They are not huge on the massages, and some of them are better than others, but if your goal is to get your nails done right, this is the place! read more

I've been going here for years. Ive tried checking out other nail salons but always end up back here, because truthfully they do the best work. It can be quite a wait on the weekends, but its worth it. Good prices and my mani/pedi stay in tact! They do really good work on your hands and feet. read more

First time here & the girl that did my nails was so friendly and nice , Love this place . I think I'm going to travel from LA to here just for the nails read more

The lady put the cream on the bottom of my foot to smooth out the callus'. However, I ended up getting burned so bad that I started bleeding.. the ladies started laughing when I told her it burned really bad. I got so mad I didn't want to pay for the service however they still proceeded to charge me. I went there 4 days ago and I can't barely put pressure on my left foot from this burn.. read more

This place sucks, I called and they said to come now and when I got there they told me I had to wait for ONE HOUR. That's just ridiculous because I was on my lunch break from work but I don't mind waiting if I just walked in but I CALLED but I still had to wait for one hour which of course I did not. I just went to a different nail place near by and they were awesome. read more

Family owned/ran and VERY friendly:) Been here a few times and my full set came off rather soon. The pedicure was awesome but the stinky homeless lady in the pedicure chair next to me ruined my relaxation. read more

I have been coming here ever since I was little and I love it! I don't usually make an appointment, I normally just walk in. Every time I go there I always love the results! They are reasonably priced, everyone is super nice, and really does a thorough job. I have gone to 3-4 other salons just cause they were near wherever I was at that time and it just didn't compare to Western Nails! I already got some of my friends hooked on that salon. You must try it for yourself! read more

This place has great prices, friendly and funny manicurists, and quick service. My nails always look great.

Horrible service ! I was standing there for 15 mins being ignored. I'm taking my money somewhere else this place is a joke.

I have been going to this place for years and they always deliver. Tracey makes sure that I get my appointment in even the day of and finds a way to fit me in. I appreciate that I can come to a shop to rely on and make sure that they will get the job done right! I also appreciate nail salons who take the time to do a proper pedicure, not only do they thoroughly clean, cut, and exfoliate your feet they make sure to do it with the proper care and are not rough! read more

Stay getting my nails done here by far the best service they always leave my nails on point read more

Western Nails - Nails always poppin - Nail Salons Near Me - Van Nuys, California

I have came here for a long time and have recommended allot of women as well!!! The reason why I loved it here was because of the mani/ pedi they lasted a long time and were done well the past couple times I've gone I've done there gel dip which does not include the manicure they have broken on me twice once within three days I come here every two weeks so I find it a waste of money to have them crack in a couple days I expressed this to the manager who said she'd take care of me, today I went in for my mani/pedi and the lady who was doing my spa pedi and callus removal was nice but barely put any of the callus cream on my feet! Which upset me because I paid extra and it didn't do what it usually does!! Then the scrub part came and I didn't get scrubbed she barely put any of the scrub on the sponge and just scrubbed my feet from experience they scrub your legs and feet!! Finally the 5 min massage turned into a basic oil up it's frustrating to watch the man next to me pay for a basic pedicure and get the exact service I did when I paid more!!! My mani was done in a rush in a very uncomfortable position because she didn't want to do one side then the others never did she massage my hands let's just say I won't be going there and neither will my friends anymore!!!!!!!!! Sorry Tracy!!! read more

11/10 it's amazing quality really shows how much time and effort these workers put into their work. I will definitely be revisiting this nail salon again. Amazing customer service and just a great salon after all. Would recommend going and switching over to Western Nails! read more

This place is nice and clean, BUT you def. need to make an appointment before coming in...and if you Walk-In make sure to let them know you are there..I didn't and was ignored for at least 30 mins..I was desperately in need of a pedicure so I waited. Overall I will come back every two weeks because i am cheap read more

Everyone is super nice! They all do awesome work and the prices are very good as well. I'm always happy with the way my gel nails turn out.

I had my pedicure done here and was happy with the service. The person who did my pedicure was pleasant, meticulous, and careful with my nail-beds and cuticles. I didn't have a long wait especially since they were full with clients with varying nail services. The only problem I have with this establishment is, payment is cash only. I was totally shocked when I was told of my bill, and luckily, I had enough cash to cover my service. read more

Online it says they accept credit cards but when I called the lady said they don't . Come on fix your machine already .

Service was ok not so great. I got a full set and it was one of the worst set of nails I've ever got. The job done was very sloppy to say the least. I had to ask for more file because the nails looked so bumpy on the top. The first two color choices I asked for they didn't have so I ended up with a color I didn't even like. I got my nails a week ago and the Gel polish already cracked. Then I ask for a design and got the simplest three little flowers. Any who, I can keep going but I don't have enough time to share it all. All in all, I'm never going back. read more

This place is decently priced compared to a lot of nail salons in the area, but the service can be inconsistent. An appointment really doesn't matter because you can still wait a long time to sit at a station and wait a while for actual service. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's not. I keep going back because it's on the cheaper side for the Valley. Sometimes the result is really good, sometimes it seems rushed. The conversation is always friendly. read more
