The salon staff were very friendly, space was nice and clean, and my manicurist did a great job with the design. Being Gel-X was hoping to get at least ~2.5 - 3 weeks wear out of them. Sadly, within a week one nail cleanly popped off (and a few days after so did another). They stayed put for the weekend, but that was about it. I also think the nails were too big for my (very narrow) nail beds, which I'm sure contributed to the nails lifting early. I also noticed a fair amount of gel cured on my skin afterwards, even though my manicurist did swipe the sides of my nail with acetone as she went. I really liked the people here as they were so friendly, but sadly I don't think I'll be back for Gel-X. read more

I went for a dazzle dry manicure. While the space is cute, and they were friendly, I don't think I will return. Sadly, the attention to detail with my nails was just not there, and unfortunately, on day 2 there is polish lifting on the sides. I can't say how they are for other service, but I would definitely skip dazzle dry here. It is NOT what they know best. UPDATING: in response to the comment, that was not my experience at all! And to add about the dazzle dry, the woman doing my manicure, they did not know about warming the base coat when cloudy, or applying to coats of base coat. I'm sad to write this review because they are very sweet. But this is NOT a russian manicure place, despite what they say. Tamara absolutely mutilated me. I told her she was hurting me but nothing changed. She had no idea what she is doing. I was bleeding and the sides of my nails are all red and inflamed. I am in so much pain. It got way worse overnight. My nails were also left super thick. Worst manicure of my life and they are so mutilated I can't get them redone until I heal (and hopefully don't get infections). This happened a while ago, but finally getting around to writing a review. The place was cute, but was so frustrating and annoying. I had a wedding I was going to, and wanted a yellow French tip done. The job was super sloppy and didn't look good at all, and even chipped the next day, even though it was gel. I sent pics, and they said I had to come back another day to have them fix it. I was also supposed to be given a free service as an apology, and when I tried calling a few times to make the appointment, they ghosted me. Will never go back again. Very high cost for what you get. Good polish job, but she cut me several times during my pedicure. She also cut all of my toe nails into a round shape, which everyone knows you're not supposed to do. I will now have several ingrown toenails in my future without a doubt. They were also offering snacks for Mother's Day, and several of the technicians were digging through the tray with their bare hands, looking for what they wanted. It was absolutely revolting and unhygienic. Overall, I thought the salon was nice but $37 for a pedicure is wild for the most basic $20 pedicure. read more

Everything in this salon looks so new and clean! Love the stylish yet simple layout. Nail techs were very nice and their work was fantastic AND fast! I was able to have two people work on my nails simultaneously, which I always appreciate so I'm not sitting around too long. The woman at the front desk was very helpful in explaining the process of making an account with them so they can keep track of who did our nails in case we wanted to have the same tech again. I happen to be staying in Sherman oaks this week and a s in dire need of a bio gel fill! I called the day before and scheduled my appointment with ease, the person who answered the phone was very sweet and scheduled me with Sveta (or Svetlana was maybe her name). Parking is a little yucky but once I arrived I was offered tea/coffee/water and picked my colors. I had originally planned on doing designs on my nails but after she applied this gorgeous base pink color I decided to leave it at just that, which is something I NEVER do. My nails just looked so clean and perfect that I didn't want to add a design to take away from the craftsmanship of this perfect fill. Sveta took her time with each nail and carefully cleaned my cuticles, a word to the wise they do charge for cuticle cleaning ($10) but let me tell you... it was WORTH it! She is trained in Russian manicures so maybe that's why my nails just look so stunning? Sorry for disappointing you and not doing my planned aura nail design but I am so thankful and happy with my nails! Out the door it was $85 plus tip, a little pricier than my usual nail place but again worth it. read more

This family owned business with the proprietors; Anna and Miriam are hands-down, the kindest, most accommodating and thoughtful people you could possibly choose. They are always accommodating with scheduling and seeing you next to your friends or making sure that you've had water or coffee. I have had a number of different women do my manicure and pedicure (gel) they are always incredibly proficient. I particularly like Mara who does a Russian manicure with the Dremel. Salon de manicure is a beautiful salon. The new ownership has really updated the space and it's stunning. I had a great chat with one of the owners (Miriam) and she told me all about the upgrades from raising the Ceilings to putting in an air filtration system so the air remains covid free. Honestly the 4 stars is for her lovely hospitality and the wonderful pedicure I received from Hannah. Hannah took her time pampering me and did an excellent job on my toes. I loved the complementary orange scrub they do! Where my experience fell short unfortunately was with Lee. I was so exited to have my first (post?) covid manicure by him. He had so many wonderful reviews on here that I specifically asked for him to do my manicure. And maybe he's just better with gels or acrylics? But when it comes to the art of a basic manicure. He just doesn't have it. And for $20 for a BASIC MANICURE the guy needs to at least listen to you. I asked him multiple times to shape my nails squoval meaning rounded sides and straight across (I even explained what I wanted) he agreed and then proceeded to do what ever he wanted. Ok no big deal I can live with my nails not being shaped the way I like but when I repeatedly tell you that I have really long nail beds and to please paint all the way up because or else it looks like I haven't had a manicure in weeks. And you still don't do it. It's frustrating. He didn't care. He was in a rush. I was just a number to him. They were understaffed and had to turn multiple people away. Bottom line is Anna, Miriam, and Hannah were lovely but I won't be rushing back here to get a manicure from Lee ever again. Maybe they will get some new talent in down the road but for now there are less expensive places to go to who actually listen to what you want you want done. read more

I had originally given this salon a 5-star review but I have had too many negative experiences since to justify keeping it up. My first 2 visits with Van were fantastic; I was a little shocked about paying $100 for a full acrylic set, but the quality of her work was worth it. Unfortunately, ever since she left, thing just went downhill. Every visit I have had since, something has gone terribly wrong, even though I am still paying $100 for a full acrylic set. That is a A LOT for the quality of service I've been receiving. I've had nail polish come out, poorly painted nails, and most recently, the acrylics from my last 2 visits only lasted a week when they typically last 2-3 weeks elsewhere. They have been very friendly to fix their errors free of charge but I can't justify coming back here again or leaving a positive review. I can definitely get less expensive full sets elsewhere for better quality (because I have). Good luck. read more

Anna and Miriam really do their best to make you comfortable and get you just what you came here to get. All the technicians are amazing but I have really had exceptional experience with Mara, Gohan and Luna. Everyone else is great too but can't quite remember their names. Recently they have added the service of having massage services. Oksana does both Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage. When I saw that she also does Lymphatic Massage it really caught my attention. I booked my first appointment and I am so glad I did. The first time after I got the service I noticed a huge difference in my energy, metabolism, and overall just felt so much better. Very very disappointing. My friend and I went to get our nails and left with very low quality nails. The reception was super super nice. And the woman who did my pedicure was also really nice. My friends cuticles were nicked all over and the pinky nail is off centered. My gel nail polish started chipping the next day. The woman who did my manicure was also pretty rude. At one point she started yelling at me. The woman who did my pedicure had to step in to get her to stop. I was being as nice as physically possible. I kept gently asking for her to trim my nails and make them shorter. Suggesting she cut the nails but she just kept filing until I finally stopped asking for it to be cut. This changed the shape of the nails I originally asked for but didn't want to keep trying to speak up because every time I did she got mad at me. We spent a good deal only to now need to go somewhere else to get it redone. And my friends fingers all cut up. Avoid this place at all cost. read more
