I didn't realize this nail salon had changed it's name and ownership when I went as a walk in. I paid $126 for biogel manicure on hands and a basic gel pedicure. While my nail tech was nice, this place is overpriced with mediocre work. My pedicure tech lotioned my feet/legs prior to starting the pedicure which was strange. When i asked her to cut the sides of my toe to avoid ingrown, she blindly hacked away at the bottom corner of my nail which caused pain for several days. My manicure nail tech was very sweet but my biogel manicure only lasted 3 days before it began to chip. Never again! The other nail salon i go to is just as nice and i pay $110 for better work (no chips), a sea salt scrub and a 5 minute foot massage with my pedicure. read more

Only thing is they don't accept tip by card, so need cash or another app. One of the ladies was so rude and demanded that we tip $20 per manicurist when a manicure was $27. I wanted to get a last-minute pedicure before Thanksgiving, and the spot that I originally go to in the area was booked and busy. All Star Nails was close by, so I went there. They have a sign that says appointments only, so I already assumed they wouldn't be able to take me. But I asked anyway, and luckily the lady said yes! Whooo Hooo! I just needed a regular pedicure, nothing fancy. The lady who did my pedicure was gentle and applied the nail polish perfectly. I'm happy that they were able to take me. Such a wonderful, small local nail salon that is tucked away in a tiny L shaped complex at the corner of Woodman and Moorpark. I used to drive right by until a friend recommended this nail salon to me and I am so glad that she did. This small "neighborhood secret" is a secret no longer - especially after its renovation. This place has a really great staff and fair prices for their manicure and pedicures. They are really quick and on time from my past few experiences. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because my nails keep chipping shortly after getting them done when they are not gel or dip. I had to go in to get a handful of nails repainted the next day after getting them done the day before. I don't blame them, it can possibly just be the nail polish color I chose but they were very attentive on fixing it quickly and adding another layer of top coat. I never leave reviews but I had time today.. honestly this is mainly about the main owner Sandy. Her staff is usually very nice and accommodating but she is not. I initially loved this place and it's convenient for me, however, I don't see myself coming back. I tried giving the benefit of the doubt and kept trying to come back but it seems like every time it just gets worse. I've been cut and was given poor service and bad looks when I went back to address it, as it looked infected. I always came in as a walk in when suddenly I was turned away and told to call and make an appointment even though I never previously needed one. The owner Sandy is very rude with a horrible negative attitude and poor customer service. She's hostile and wouldn't stop talking in her language to her ppl as she's looking and pointing directly at me. I had to ask three times what my balance was as she ignored me and continued to talk to the client in front of her.. I came back today hoping there would be a difference. I made an appointment and was refused half my service. I wanted a regular mani pedi and only got a pedicure cause they didn't have time, yet sandy told me no one there had time for me yet she stood around for 20 minutes waiting for her next client. I'd spend your money else where honestly they don't make you feel welcomed at all. They are also unsanitary no one here wears gloves for feet or waxing and they use utensils that have been open and sitting in their carts. I am incredibly picky with how my nails look but in this case, I have never had such elegant nails and the french tip design was so intricately done that to this day I can not get over it. I use to come here and Nail Fetish all the time, but I moved. I came here with my mother n law and it was nice. It was nice to see some of the women were still there and that's really all I have to say. I wasn't impressed with the water being cold for the mani/pedi spa? That's the whole point so that your skin gets soft and the pumice can do the rest. I asked that they go get hot water and pour it in, I don't know if they had water heater problems or what. But if I am paying for SPA price I want SPA treatment. Other than that we were both happy and went to lunch..., I probably will try some place else next time. It only takes little things to sway an existing customer somewhere else. Depending who you get to paint your nails will depend on your satisfaction. The lady who answers the phone I think Tina and or Sandy are great. But like I said I live in Woodland Hills now and probably will not be back. This place does a phenomenal job with eyebrow tinting! I have come three times and I've been consistently in love with the results. I am officially a regular. My brows are naturally blonde on the outside and Mai (the woman who performs the magic) does an amazing job every time making the entire brow dark brown. Mai is also very kind and efficient. It only takes about 30 minutes and did I mention it's an amazing deal?! The tint lasts an average of 3-4 weeks for me. I always leave feeling beautiful.
