I agree with the 1-star ratings above. 1) Nails are chipped right after the manicure/pedicure. 2) Over charged. $190 for 2 gel mani and pedicure?!!! Wasn't even good quality. We requested 2 gel mani and pedis without any additional services or packages. The paint job came out HORRIBLE. I've been to this place 3 times so far for pedicure and callus removal. The last two times, I was with Michelle. She is very good at what she does and very friendly. I also talk to the owner Tiffany and often see her across the street at starbucks since I work from that location often. Tiffany is super friendly. Her place is also very clean and the chairs are very comfortable. I highly recommend this place to all. read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but I am making an exception for this particular visit because I have yet to experience such terrible service and rudeness all in one place. If I could give zero stars I would. Staff was rude, unwilling to help, to top it off my manicure is just sloppy, I had to ask my manicurist to file all my nails to be the same shape. Seriously?!? She also yelled at me when I asked her to finish removing my Gel X. Beyond disappointing. I have been to this Nails Spa Studio twice including today and wanted to express my true feelings about this spa. They do a great job, but the staff are a little too pretentious and condescending when you tell them something. Today Christine worked on my pedicure and she did an excellent job with my toes. I had an in grow nail that she removed like a pro. She spent a lot of time doing my pedicure and they turned out PERFECT!!! At the same time Paulina was doing my manicure. She also did a good job! All the ladies are friendly, but you can't tell them anything. They know everything. I kind of felt a little nervous, and not at ease because their defense mechanism is a little too unnecessary and strong. That doesn't make me feel as welcomed as I would like to feel. Vibe is ok, but their attitude is not. I was practically kicked out of the salon just because it was 30 minutes over their time. It says online that they close at 7:30, but they told me that they close at 7pm when they had another lady that practically left 5 minutes before me and not to mention her daughter came at 7:20 to do waxing. So please ladies get it together. I feel like they are constantly talking about you in their own language which is rude and disrespectful to ME. I am pretty sure others feel the same way. The reason that I didn't duck another star to make it 3 stars is because of their excellent work, not their work ethics. FYI i was kicked out at 8pm. Overall a nice, big, clean nail salon. I wish I would've read the yelp reviews before coming back here, or I could've avoided my recent experience this Friday. I used to come here from time to time years ago, but stopped because of the bad attitude of the manager, and the way they didn't honor appointment times. This week, my nail tech of 5 years was on vacation, so I decided to give them another try, hoping that the new name and rebrand meant new management. I scheduled an appointment for a hard gel manicure and gel pedicure a couple days before. I showed up to my appointment time of 10:45 five minutes early and was asked to sit down and wait. I sat and waited for over 30 minutes and was finally sat around 11:15. A woman started on my nails in a spa chair, and didn't run the water which I took as a bad sign that my pedicure wouldn't be happening soon. I had somewhere to be close by at 1pm, and figured setting my appointment for 10:45am and asking specifically for both services to be done at the same time would allow me enough time. I reminded the gal doing my nails (who was very nice and I feel bad that she is working in this environment) that I was needing a pedi, and she told the manager who snapped something back at her. By 12:20pm there was still no one working on my pedicure and they took 2 walk ins during this time period. My nail tech reminded the manager again, who didn't respond to her and clearly my nail tech felt uncomfortable and was apologizing to me. I just said it's okay, and I guess I'll have to go somewhere else for a pedicure. They said "oh we can do it really fast" - and to be honest, I don't want to pay a premium to have a quickly done pedicure, haha. I just said no thank you and the vibes were very tense as I paid. The manager basically threw my card back at me. It was disappointing because I was leaving for a trip, so I then had to after my other appointment at 1pm find another salon for a pedicure and it really shook up my day's schedule. They charged me $75 for a hard gel manicure, and the next day I noticed a big chip in one of my nails. Now. In the 2 years I've had hard gels I've NEVER had a chip. They grow out super long, I've even waited 5 weeks to get a manicure and they've never chipped. So lesson learned. The greed of the manager not honoring appointments, taking walk ins and holding you hostage for her poor management and business practices. BEWARE ! read more

Please do not patronize 'Nirvana' nails in Studio City unless you want to be ripped off and scammed. This company has changed hands numerous times. When I called to schedule services with my longtime manicurist of more than 10 years, the receptionist confirmed'same price'. Instead, and with no one in their shop on a Saturday afternoon, Manager Tiffany,with no notice, demanded a 25% increase for the same service. When I requested Tiffany to honor the same price her receptionist quoted, she refused- and ordered me to immediately leave the shop. The fact that there are no patrons in this formerly very full Studio City business salon on a Saturday afternoon is confirmation to go elsewhere. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! 2 ISSUES: 1. Completely destroyed my nails when removing my old gel, - to the meat. 2. Overcharged me for gel manicure $75 instead of $54. When i asked about the charge front woman said it was some special gel. I never asked for special gel. This is one of those great experiences - a local shop, walking distance from home, but that even has great parking, and superior service. I've had a great gel manicure, over two weeks ago, and it still looks terrific. Day before yesterday I went over to get a pedicure. My most recent one was before Halloween (this weekend is Christmas), and my feet looked like I have been walking barefoot in the woods for two months. I asked for Lana because she'd given me such a great manicure - and she does excellent pedicures, too. She has strong hands, and took command of a grooming challenge. She rubbed off the old polish, sealed a cracked nail with glue, trimmed my nails, trimmed and buffed down calluses, and although my feet are basically clean, she was making sure everything was sanitary and comfortable. I'd brought my own nail polish, but it fell and broke when I first arrived; the salon has a great selection of colors, everything OPI ever made, I think, plus some other brands. My nails looked so good after and I got tons of compliments on them! I highly recommend getting your nails done here, especially during COVID19. They have been complying with the safety regulations and have transitioned to doing nails outdoors. All of the workers have been wearing masks while working and they sanitize very often. Everything is so clean and I definitely feel safe coming here during coronavirus. For a whopping $143 though.....My gel x nails were not shaped, pretty fast and efficient. 3 minute massage maybe for pedicure... This place is a straight up scam. Please be very conscious of what they're trying to sell you, and do procedures without your request. They are very good and sly with how they communicate (lack there of) and get away with it.
