I broke out all over my face with pimples and bumps that basically turn in to big pimples eventually. I was freaking out lol I never had those kind of bumps before. I booked 2 facials with Shelly and already after the first one my skin looked so so much better. The texture of my skin already looked back to normal the first day after the facial. With some light make up to cover the redness I felt like myself again without having to hide my face from the world anymore lol She is the most kind and caring woman I know. She cares so much about her clients and not only has the greatest knowledge on skin but also knows all about the inner body. She advises me on what to eat, what not to eat, what vitamins to take etc... to make sure my skin goes back on track fast. I feel she is more knowledgeable then a dermatologist as she understands the science behind the body so well. In general just seeing her and being around her energy makes me feel better about my skin even before the actual treatment starts. She is a true master at what she does. I'm unhappy with Sugared + Bronzed's mandatory 18% "gratuity" for longer services. Yes, it's a…read morelonger service, but I'm already paying the full price for it. If another 18% is required, why isn't it included in that price? They mentioned the 18% in an email before my appointment, but they called it a tip, so I understood I could adjust the amount after the service. At checkout, I was told I couldn't change it because the 18% was company policy. If customers cannot choose the amount, please stop calling it a tip. It is a required part of the service cost. California's Attorney General says that separately disclosing a mandatory percentage charge does not replace including it in the listed price. Sugared + Bronzed, please be honest and crystal clear about the full price customers will actually have to pay. Calling a compulsory charge a "gratuity" makes the listed price look lower and puts customers in an uncomfortable position at checkout. That conversation left me feeling pressured and disappointed.
