they did a GREAT job on my gel nails. the last two places ( different businesses) I went made them a weird shape and too long. for this visit- the length and shape was just perfect. the girl that did my pedicure did THE BEST foot massage I've had at a nail salon. normally they are so soft you can't feel It, but this felt like a proper massage. the cost was higher than expected. $70 for the nails! I did get one new nail done. and $50 for the pedicure. so definitely more expensive than others in the area, but if the result is better, then totally worth It. read more

This place is so weird lol. Called to tell them I was running late to my 11am appointment, and they said 11:30 is fine. They texted me at 11:30 and say 11:45 is better. I show up at 11:45, and let them know I was here for a Licensed to Glow (subscription service) appointment. They seat me in a pedicure chair, and don't speak to me again for 30 minutes, while I hear people coming in and being seated for a walk in. After being ignored for 30 minutes, I walked out, and was amazed that they cancelled my appointment on the app within a minute of me walking out the door. Not sure if they were trying to encourage me to leave and then prevent me from leaving a review but it was an extremely uncomfortable experience. If you don't want to service subscription appointments then get off the platform. read more

emily was amazing. she was detail oriented and time efficient! i had on long gel-x nails that were way too long for my hands (from a different salon) and she reshaped them perfectly with a gel building manicure. the thickness is seamless to my natural nail! i'm so happy i found her/this salon so close to home. will be going back read more

I could not be happier with Es Body Bar! Not too far from work, excellent price, pristine work, clean salon, and friendly group of technicians, this place has it all! This is my third visit, and I have not been disappointed yet. I usually do hard gel with solid colors but decided to be a little more adventurous. I shared a Pinterest pic to my tech (Mandy), and she. did. not. fail! I'll be back - honestly, why wouldn't I? read more

If you come here and get anything nail related, ask for Christy! She does amazing work and is talented in everything ranging from dip and acrylic to gel, designs, and so on. I only stumbled upon this business a few months ago, because my nail tech of over five years, without listening to me, put gel on my fingers after I told him I was allergic. I was in so much pain and was calling shops that were close to me and came across the good reviews for this one. I called and Christy was able to take me immediately. I drove over and I'm so glad I did because she helped me get the gel off and rehabbed my hands and made sure I was okay before leaving. She offered to fix my nails and ever since then, I've been coming back in over and over again. She does the best dip sets ever; super thin and natural looking. As great as that was, every time I come in here, I'm offered water or asked how they can make my visit more comfortable. This location was recently bought by a new owner and so far all he has done is made it better! He added in cool things such as a loyalty card where you eventually get a free manicure after 10 visits, and so on. The vibe here is super chill. Everyone seems very comfortable and well taken care of and I love that. They support local artists/businesses by offering cute little items for sale and also offer discounts for holidays, such as mother's day. Oh, and lastly.. I usually feel iffy bringing up if something is wrong with my nails or I don't like a color, but coming here has taught me that that's okay and they will not have a problem fixing something if I'm not a fan of it.. well, that's been my experience with Christy at least. read more

I came across this spot on ClassPass! And let me tell you I wanted nothing more than to like this spot because it is so convenient for me! There is a small parking lot in the back, and street parking. I can see during peak hours how this can be difficult. I'm quickly greeted as soon as I walk in, and everyone there is super friendly! It's a cute little hole in the wall nail salon. I made an appointment for the deluxe gel pedicure! Again I wanted so hard to like this place, but compared to many other places at far better values, there was nothing deluxe about this pedicure! It was a very very basic pedicure. I will say they did in fact use a sugar scrub, but they did not follow through with it, I left feeling sugar on my legs all day until I finally got home to take a shower. Honestly, I just let everything be, since again.. I was trying to just be like alright this is a cool spot... I choose gel, because I want for my pedicure to last much longer than regular nail color. But what really really caused me distress in all of this, in less than a week... the nail color came off on two of my toes... The pedicure ultimately was nothing special, and I'm extremely disappointed that it didn't even last a week. I will not be coming back. read more

Mandy is by far the best nail tech in the area! I've been to several nail salons before, and my nails would always end up damaged -- brittle, weak, and breaking easily, even with gel polish. Since I started seeing Mandy, my nails have completely transformed. They're strong, healthy, and my gel manicures last an entire month without chipping. She's so detail-oriented and really takes her time to make sure your nails look perfect. Parking can be a bit of a challenge since there are only a few spots behind the shop, but you can usually find street parking on the next street over. If you're tired of rushed or sloppy salon experiences, I highly recommend booking with Mandy. She truly knows what she's doing and cares about the health of your nails! read more

Pretty good spot. Not super clean but well priced and they do a good job. Hannah did a great job on my gel mani. She took the time to make sure it was all clean and neatly done! For $40, I think it's worth it. It lasted exactly two weeks before the polish chipped on my thumb so not that long but a solid two weeks without any chipping. The second time it chipped two days shy of two weeks. The pedicure was $25 and it wasn't great but wasn't bad either. I didn't get the name of the lady who did it. Some of the polish was a little sloppy. There were no pedi polish dryers so I just sat in the chair and let it dry for a while- while enjoying the massage chair. The color samples were confusing because when I picked a color, the number didn't match at all to the color I chose but Hannah was quick to find a color that matched! I used the 10% off first customer (although it felt a little weird because of their reaction looking at each other). Overall, a good, consistent nail spot. I would go back! Bring cash - there's a little sign when you check out that says cash tips please. read more

I am regretful to write this review but my appointment yesterday was not as pleasant as my first experience here. I requested a pedicure for my mom and I with Sky for myself and my mom had another nice woman. My issue was more so my appointment than my mom's. I made an appointment and waited a few minutes past, no problem. Except my entire appointment with Sky lasted 45 minutes total. I got the $65 pedicure with a 10 minute massage and I don't even think I got the massage at all? Then... after asking Sky if he would put nude under my French tip he kinda brushed it off and just continued to put the white with no nude underneath. Thereafter he added the nude after the white was placed and then raised his voice at me saying "You make this so hard!!". I would've understood if someone hadn't come to take over and done exactly what I had asked for with no problem.... I really didn't appreciate him raising his voice and nearly yelling at me in front of other clients when I had booked my appointment, showed up on time, and asked in advance for what I wanted. This was rushed, I didn't get all of what I paid for, and I was yelled at on top of it... I understand people/businesses have bad days, but I also had a bad day and came to relax, not be yelled at. read more

I got the most amazing manicure here from Jenni! I said I wanted something "spring and floral" and had a few pictures. She asked if she could just freestyle, and having seen her other work, I said, "Sure!" And I was NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! It was so cute and creative and exactly what I wanted. She used the color I picked as the main focus and then went from there! She's a really talented nail artist and is so friendly and meticulous!! My new fav nail spot. read more

Mandy does the best Gel X I have ever had. She takes pride in her word and it shows. My cuticles are always well cleaned before the gel x is put on. My nails last at least a month every time without falling off, and I am someone that is very rough with their hands. The salon is clean, cute, and the music is great! Mandy always makes me feel so comfortable. My time at Es Body Bar is always filled with laughs and I leave with the best nails every time. This time I did cat eye which adds fun dimension. read more

Since it was sold recently, it is not the same . The new owner keeps using the excuse that she now owns it and things are her way, but that's going to get old fast I was quoted one price and then charged more then was quoted. Very professional, very good work, loved my nails! I highly recommend it in Studio City!

Poor attention to detail and very slow, stripped my nails with the drill to make them paper thin. Used a cuticle clipper instead of a nail clipper when cutting my nails so they came out all uneven. When I asked the technician and receptionist if they were happy with the outcome, they both said yes. First time will never return. read more

The first and only time prior to today I had been to Es, it was a pleasant experience with a gal who was very cool. She ended up doing my waxing and understood how to correctly arch brows. When i booked I was made to believe I would be seeing her. Much to my surprise and chagrin, the place had changed hands. It was hard to get the truth plus hard to explain what I wanted done as no one spoke English- except one woman spoke a little bit of English. She ended up doing the wax as she said the gal who was the waxer was on her way but got in an accident. I call bs. What I wanted to be relaxing, wasn't! More like torture and my brows are uneven! read more

Walked in today with some friends to get pedicures and I received mine from man named Sky. While doing he rushed through but I figured there was 4 of us and he was in a hurry. However after he was done I realized my nails were already chipping off. And it was gel. So I spent $50 on a gel pedicure and over $180 total with all of us on something that basically chipped off by itself same day. I Can do a better job myself. Can't go back since I'm from out of town. But stay away. read more

We are still going to this place as regulars! Hannah is a treasure and I have a very hard time seeing us switching over for the great service, price point, and short distance from our place. My roommate is still always so happy with her nails despite how different her requests can be and can't see herself ever switching to a different place. We recommend everyone we can to see her. I also recently got my first nail art and Hannah got me together. I previous just did one-color gels but I wanted to try something more interesting. And Hannah knew exactly what she was doing. FYI: One thing Hannah requests is for people to bring cash or Zelle. Not a problem for me at all, just wanted to let folks know. Amazing place and amazing quality. The second I stepped into the studio, I was welcomed with friendly staff and the overall atmosphere and environment of the place was extremely comforting and clean. Mandy did my gel x nails and she was amazing. From the start, she listened to my requests and my details and was compliant with all my requests. She accommodated all my nail details that I wanted to add and was extremely professional. Not only that, but she also made me feel very welcoming and comfortable. In the other nail salons that I've been to, it has always been awkward because no one was making conversation. However, for the entire duration of getting my nails done, Mandy made sure to make me feel comfortable. I really appreciated Mandy's attention to detail with my nails, because the result of my nails look so good and so detailed. I got so many compliments from my friends and family about how well my nails looked. The quality is extremely good as well. It's been a few weeks since I got my nails done, and they still haven't lifted or chipped yet. All my nails are in top notch quality and still look extremely good.
