If you come here and get anything nail related, ask for Christy! She does amazing work and is talented in everything ranging from dip and acrylic to gel, designs, and so on. I only stumbled upon this business a few months ago, because my nail tech of over five years, without listening to me, put gel on my fingers after I told him I was allergic. I was in so much pain and was calling shops that were close to me and came across the good reviews for this one. I called and Christy was able to take me immediately. I drove over and I'm so glad I did because she helped me get the gel off and rehabbed my hands and made sure I was okay before leaving. She offered to fix my nails and ever since then, I've been coming back in over and over again. She does the best dip sets ever; super thin and natural looking. As great as that was, every time I come in here, I'm offered water or asked how they can make my visit more comfortable. This location was recently bought by a new owner and so far all he has done is made it better! He added in cool things such as a loyalty card where you eventually get a free manicure after 10 visits, and so on. The vibe here is super chill. Everyone seems very comfortable and well taken care of and I love that. They support local artists/businesses by offering cute little items for sale and also offer discounts for holidays, such as mother's day. Oh, and lastly.. I usually feel iffy bringing up if something is wrong with my nails or I don't like a color, but coming here has taught me that that's okay and they will not have a problem fixing something if I'm not a fan of it.. well, that's been my experience with Christy at least. read more

Mandy is by far the best nail tech in the area! I've been to several nail salons before, and my nails would always end up damaged -- brittle, weak, and breaking easily, even with gel polish. Since I started seeing Mandy, my nails have completely transformed. They're strong, healthy, and my gel manicures last an entire month without chipping. She's so detail-oriented and really takes her time to make sure your nails look perfect. Parking can be a bit of a challenge since there are only a few spots behind the shop, but you can usually find street parking on the next street over. I came across this spot on ClassPass! And let me tell you I wanted nothing more than to like this spot because it is so convenient for me! There is a small parking lot in the back, and street parking. I can see during peak hours how this can be difficult. I'm quickly greeted as soon as I walk in, and everyone there is super friendly! It's a cute little hole in the wall nail salon. I made an appointment for the deluxe gel pedicure! Again I wanted so hard to like this place, but compared to many other places at far better values, there was nothing deluxe about this pedicure! It was a very very basic pedicure. I will say they did in fact use a sugar scrub, but they did not follow through with it, I left feeling sugar on my legs all day until I finally got home to take a shower. Honestly, I just let everything be, since again.. I was trying to just be like alright this is a cool spot... I choose gel, because I want for my pedicure to last much longer than regular nail color. But what really really caused me distress in all of this, in less than a week... the nail color came off on two of my toes... The pedicure ultimately was nothing special, and I'm extremely disappointed that it didn't even last a week. I will not be coming back. read more

I am regretful to write this review but my appointment yesterday was not as pleasant as my first experience here. I requested a pedicure for my mom and I with Sky for myself and my mom had another nice woman. My issue was more so my appointment than my mom's. I made an appointment and waited a few minutes past, no problem. Except my entire appointment with Sky lasted 45 minutes total. I got the $65 pedicure with a 10 minute massage and I don't even think I got the massage at all? Then... after asking Sky if he would put nude under my French tip he kinda brushed it off and just continued to put the white with no nude underneath. Thereafter he added the nude after the white was placed and then raised his voice at me saying "You make this so hard!!". I would've understood if someone hadn't come to take over and done exactly what I had asked for with no problem.... I really didn't appreciate him raising his voice and nearly yelling at me in front of other clients when I had booked my appointment, showed up on time, and asked in advance for what I wanted. This was rushed, I didn't get all of what I paid for, and I was yelled at on top of it... Pretty good spot. Not super clean but well priced and they do a good job. Hannah did a great job on my gel mani. She took the time to make sure it was all clean and neatly done! For $40, I think it's worth it. It lasted exactly two weeks before the polish chipped on my thumb so not that long but a solid two weeks without any chipping. The second time it chipped two days shy of two weeks. The pedicure was $25 and it wasn't great but wasn't bad either. I didn't get the name of the lady who did it. Some of the polish was a little sloppy. There were no pedi polish dryers so I just sat in the chair and let it dry for a while- while enjoying the massage chair. The color samples were confusing because when I picked a color, the number didn't match at all to the color I chose but Hannah was quick to find a color that matched! I used the 10% off first customer (although it felt a little weird because of their reaction looking at each other). Overall, a good, consistent nail spot. I would go back! The first and only time prior to today I had been to Es, it was a pleasant experience with a gal who was very cool. She ended up doing my waxing and understood how to correctly arch brows. Poor attention to detail and very slow, stripped my nails with the drill to make them paper thin. Used a cuticle clipper instead of a nail clipper when cutting my nails so they came out all uneven. Mandy did my gel x nails and she was amazing. From the start, she listened to my requests and my details and was compliant with all my requests. The manicures here are great and it's the only place I've found in recent years where my gel actually lasts. Unfortunately I recently got a pedicure where two of my toes were cut and the guy was trying to hide it from me even though it was bleeding and I could feel it happen. I had to ask for alcohol or disinfectant to be put on. I'll probably still come back for manicures because the service is great, but I'm wary of getting a pedicure here again. We are still going to this place as regulars! Hannah is a treasure and I have a very hard time seeing us switching over for the great service, price point, and short distance from our place. My roommate is still always so happy with her nails despite how different her requests can be and can't see herself ever switching to a different place. We recommend everyone we can to see her.
