(I think this was the only time they looked decent because I came in with well shaped nail Second time, the vibe in there was off & she was late and my nails didn't look as good and I was given a different price and she insinuated to be given a "big tip". Third time she texted me 20 min before my appt time to come "15 min late" and I was already on my way so I had to wait 15 min in my car and she had someone else during my appt time and she had someone else begin and she didn't start on my nails until approx 30-40 min after my arrival. The bio gel nails didn't look weren't shaped well but I didn't have time to stay for them to get fixed since she started later on me Once again price "went up " go figure -no surprise despite Melanie's signs and pricing not showing the new increase. This is a hidden gem in Sherman Oaks! I came here to get my acrylics removed and get a regular manicure. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The salon was small but well equipped. The customers there were engaged in good conversations which seemed like this place has a lot of regulars. My manicurist was very gentle and removed my acrylics with great skill as to not damage my nail bed too much. She gave me some advice on what to get for healthier nails, introduced me to bio gel, and talked me through the differences between that and acrylics/dip powder. The entire procedure took about an hour and the results are great! Their prices are very affordable for the quality of work they provide! My total was $35 without tip for acrylic removal and manicure with a regular polish. I will 100% be coming back! read more

I called on Feb 13 and talked to the owner about pricing she said gel mani & pedi is $75. When I finished with my basic mani & pedi I got charged $95, very inconsistent. Also the lady working on my pedi ended up cutting my cuticle on my right toe and cut 2 of my left toes, didn't bother to say sorry. I visited this salon Sunday 7/17 for a mani with dip powder and a regular pedicure. My nails were weak from having gel polish removed, so I requested the manicurist not use the electric filer/drill on my nails because it causes them to break. She agreed but still used the drill and buffed my nail beds so much they're literally folding over when I press down on them. The polish itself was bubbly and unclean around the edges. I was going to just deal with it and not go back to their salon when today, 7/19, one of the tips of nails has completely broken off and is bleeding, and 2 others are on their way out as well. This was completely unacceptable to me as I pride myself in taking great care of my natural nails which were beautiful and strong before I visited the salon, now they look like the picture below and I'll have to wait months to regain my length. When I called and discussed my concerns with the manager, I requested a refund for just the price of the manicure as the pedicure was totally fine. She advised me she doesn't provide refunds and would credit me for a future visit. Can NOT recommend. Made me bleed twice and forced my nails into way to small of a size gel Extensions, equipment was dirty. I Just watch tutorials now and bought a Gel Nail Extension kit for $40 Lol I'm thankful for this bad experience because now I do my own nails at home painless and free! I tried this place for the first time. I told the girl I wanted nails that looked like the ones I had on and also showed her a picture of what I wanted. Both were acrylic which is what I always get. She, along with everyone else in the store convinced me to try gel extension nails (which of course was the more expensive option). They seemed very adamant I do gel extensions so I gave in and decided to try them. 1. When she was removing my acrylics she told me they were gels which was odd cuz I knew that they were acrylics lol so I immediately then got the impression she was new at this. That's fine. Everyone's gotta start somewhere so I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and hoped for the best. 2. She worked a spot on my pinky with this pointy tool too much and made it bleed, apologizing with a slight smile and shrug. 3. When she began sizing/choosing the gel extensions, I could feel the shape and size was waaaaay too small for my nail beds. I thought "surely she's not gunna try to put these ones on right?? They've gotta have other sizes". To my surprise she starts gluing these small sizes on, forcing/squeezing my nail bed into an ARCHED and unnatural shaped in order to fit. I stopped her when I noticed how uncomfortable it felt and also showed one of the other girls who was helping, trying to understand if this discomfort was normal. They both said it's normal and I should continue and give it 24 hours. So I sat back down letting her finish. One of the nails was put on crooked so it was smashing one side of my middle finger nail into an even MORE unnatural way of sitting. I asked for a couple butterfly stickers and she struggled to get them on but finally got them and they looked alright I guess. She assured me "these are great. They will last a month!" LOLOL I was already thinking "I hope not...this doesn't feel so great". My nail beds felt like they were falling asleep and I was kind of concerned. 4. After a few hours my finger tips were really hurting especially the middle one. I decided to go back and ask her just to redo the middle finger. She again told me to just give it overnight and assured me that the feeling will go away. I went back home. The pain got worse. I couldn't use my fingers like normal because I think the circulation was being cut off. I went back first thing in the morning and expressed that I was "so sorry but they just really hurt and I'd like to get them removed as well as a refund." 5. The manager accommodated me but not without letting me know that her girl "did them perfect and they never do refunds". The next women scraped at my sore fingers so hard making that same pinky bleed AGAIN. I was being really nice and was even going to come back for acrylics another time after resting my nails. However, after the second bleeding and the way the manager handled the removal and refund became so uncomfortable that it ended in a lot of tension. She told me "we never do refunds so I don't even know how to and I need to call the bank." She then called the bank on speaker phone so the whole place could hear. It was just kind of in bad taste and just seemed like her pride was hurt so she was trying to embarrass me for making her go through this process. Then, once she got instructions from the bank and knew how to do the refund, she said "ok so it's $10 removal charge that I can not refund you for because we did the service." I said "fair enough that's fine. Just refund me for the nail charge please." Then a minute later she changed that to a "$15 removal charge". I said "no....when I paid, the girl directly told me "it's $65 for the nails and $5 for the butterflies plus a $3 service charge on the card. I paid $83 in total so my refund should be $70." She then tried to argue that the girl didn't charge me for the butterflies and the $5 was part of the removal fee. I wasn't going to let it go out of principal. She said "ok fine I'm not going to argue over $5!" I was like "ok great. Please add that to my refund as it should be." So she realized I had caught her and she refunded me the $70. Needless to say, I told her that they need to watch some tutorials and that it's NOT one size fits all and that for the sake of their company they need to order more sizes. She told me to make sure I get what I want next time and I said "after this, I don't think there will be a next time." She said "good go someplace else" and I said "perfect! I will." Lol BUT what I actually did is watched some tutorials on gel extensions and ordered the a gel nail kit on Amazon for $40 and now I do my own nails better and without pain for free!!! Worse nail place I've been to. I just wanted to take my gel x nails off and get a simple manicure. The lady was very ruff taking off each nail to the point where there were marks on my natural nail. When cleaning the nails by picking the stray skin, she did it so hard I was bleeding on my thumb and ring finger as you can see in the photo and all she did was put liquid over it then paint over it which burned. A few of my nails still hurt.. As for the application, It was very shallow and lumpy. Even some were not on the full nail Not cleaned well either. I called this place And asked if they did bio gel nails, they said they did it so I made an appointment. The girl that did my nails was super nice but she does not know how to do bio gel nails. My nails were left lumpy, super thick, uneven and she didn't even give me a manicure as part of my service. I paid $70 for my nails. I didn't complain because I felt there was no point as I could tell she didn't know what she was doing and I had already been there over an hour. The reviews I read says she knew how to do bio gel nails, but I don't think that's correct I think she might be able to do regular manicure nails but not Biogel. Called to see if I should walk in or make an appointment they said I could walk in. I walked in there were no customers and the ladies were in the back just chit chatting.... Off to a weird vibe. They said pick a color. So I had to ask for the detaches.. sat down for my gel pedicure, take off plus gel pedicure took 20 mins. Not enjoyable. No music just silence. My bio gel manicure she was sweet and took her time. Time for payment. I understand that there is a 3.99% charge for card. So my total came to 105. So I said okay. The person was having a hard time calculating so I showed her on the calculator 105+4% (credit card transaction)+ $21(tip). = 130.20 so I said okay just round to 131. The manager goes off saying no. You have to do the 4% on the whole transaction including tip.. =131.04 Which I then replied I round up anyways to 131. So I told her if that's the case then take out 4% from the tip. So I would be tipping $20.16 instead. She was so technical about it that instead of paying $131 I paid 130.17. That 4% which was a couple cents, that she complained about is why she lost my business. I always tip 20% and always more if I love the service. read more

So sad to be leaving this review because I purposely went here because of all the great reviews! I got a gel manicure yesterday and half of my thumb polish is gone, 2 other fingers are lifting, and if I file part of another I know it will lift and peel. The woman who did my nails also filed my nails crooked so I had to file them when I got home in addition to taking the left over dried gel off the skin around my nails. My nails are also very short so this could be why but I also haven't experienced this other places. She also told me she was using her own top coat that was very good, would keep the nails super shiny and last a long time. That was exciting as I left for vacation (the purpose of getting this mani). Place is phenomenal ! Recently opened a few months ago! Staff are warm, friendly, inviting, and take their time :-) On a Roadtrip from the Bay to La and needed a pedi/mani stat for my bday :-) yelped this place based on reviews and am so happy I came! I called the business and the manager was so kind she accepted me as a walk in. I was warmly greeted by the staff and offer A glass of wine the place is clean and quiet and very soothing . Bowls are lined with plastic (according to laws) . Katie was my manicurist and was extremely gentle with me. She took her time making sure she cleaned up my toes . I didn't feel rushed at all. The chair almost put me to sleep (highly recommend the kneading mode .) I think the fact they're new makes them more hospitable. The manager is very gracious in her demeanor. I appreciate the fact I wasn't rushed and that they're very open about whether they have space/time or whether they're running late. Lastly, everyone speaks English so it's easy to communicate/converse and it adds to the personal touch which makes me feel more at home . If they have music I'd have to give them 6 stars! read more

I went here thinking I was going to get a great Bio Gel Sculpture nail job by Melanie, it was a disaster. Apparently she was not feeling well and it showed in her work. I paid for a service and I did not get that proper service. I paid $60 plus a tip for this HORRIBLE job. Melanie would not refund me not even a partial refund. She offered for me to go back and she would fix by cutting my nails down. First off she had already cut my nails shorter than I asked and this was not only a complaint about the length. We are talking length, uneven nails, some square some round and the gel polish job is horrendous, was horrible and not done properly. Any person who knows about nails may see this. Melanie said I got a service and she would not refund me anything "come back I will fix by cutting down". What a joke of service and a waste of my hard earned money.
