I was able to schedule online through their website easily and no credit card required. Although I did not get the provider I requested, it was fine. I got the special with a scrub and callous removal. Tina was gentle and thorough. It took about 30 minutes plus drying time would be about 45 minutes in total. I would have liked a little more time spent on the scrub and foot/calf massage but overall a very good value. And they do use plastic liners in the soaking tubs and sterile cuticle pushers and nippers, contrary to other yelp reviews. The receptionist was friendly and helped me choose a pretty color. So, I really had to leave a review because I think this place is a hidden gem. I've now been here twice and for the most part, it's been a lovely experience. The first time I was there, one of the nail techs working on someone else's nails had me laughing so hard, I could barely breathe. I had just come in for a basic pedicure and it came out perfectly. The nail tech actually discouraged me from the neutral polish color I had chosen, because she said it was too close to my skin tone. She was absolutely right! The option she suggested looked SO good. I know it's hard to tell your customers that their choice may not be the best one - but I trusted her and am glad that I did. My second visit was also primarily good. I did have to point out some areas where the nail polish on my manicure didn't fully cover my nails, but once they were touched up they looked great! My only complaint was that my 2nd pedicure was a bit wonky. One of my toenails was cut/filed much shorter than the other ones, so once painted it looked like I had a disproportionately tiny toe nail compared to the rest of them. I figured it would grow out fast and didn't make a stink about it. The ambience is great, the staff is friendly, funny, and helpful. There's always parking and scheduling an appointment is very easy. Hi! I rarely ever do yelp reviews, but I had a truly disconcerting experience at this nail salon today, so I thought I should share. This was my first time at this salon, I usually go to Nail Garden because it is clean and I am consistently happy with the nails and service there, but they were too busy today. I'll start off by saying this is a a very small salon (reminiscent of a hallway, really). I came in with no appointment, and they told me I'd need to wait 5-10 minutes, which is totally fine and to be expected on a Sunday! The lady who does my nails starts and asks me what color and I show her a dark teal color that I want. She responds with, "No, you shouldn't get that color, since your nails are so short. It will be ugly." Okay.... Because I don't like confrontation, and I didn't care to argue with her, I choose another one, more of a natural light pink, and she says "that's much better, thank you". LOL. I'm not too particular about color so it's not that big of a deal, but it's the principle. I'm getting MY nails done, it should be MY choice what color they are. If this was the only issue I probably wouldn't even be writing the review, but unfortunately the experience took a weird turn for the worst. A woman (who I will assume is the owner, since I've seen her picture replying to comments as the business owner here on yelp) comes in and starts verbally berating one of the nail artists. The owner woman starts to repeat the employee woman, "YOU CANNOT LEAVE, YOU MAY NOT LEAVE, YOU WILL STAY TILL 5PM, THAT'S WHEN YOU LEAVE". The woman on the other end of the abuse was clearly uncomfortable and on the verge of tears. The owner woman was also putting her face extremely close to the employee's face, and blocking her only point of exit with her body, making it seem as though if she tried to leave she would physically block her. I made eye contact with another customer getting her nails done and we both gave each other a look like "this is totally inappropriate , right?" This whole exchange (more of a verbal attack than an exchange) lasted about 3-4 minutes, during which my heart rate sky rocketed and I, the customer, became extremely uncomfortable and anxious. When the owner woman noticed that everyone was looking at her and that she might be in the wrong, she walked out, thankfully. After this all happened it took a full 10 minutes for me to calm down, because as I mentioned, I don't do well with confrontations and public incidents like this. It's really unfortunate because I like to get my nails done to wind down after a stressful work week, and instead I witnessed a boss verbally abuse their employee. Honestly, I think the employee has a strong case here for a workplace harassment/bullying suit. As you can guess, I will NEVER be returning to this establishment again, so as not to financially support the kind of behavior this store owner displayed. I really hope the employee realizes that she doesn't have to put up with this kind of treatment, and finds a new salon to work out of, after all, the nails I saw her do were super cute! read more

I've been visiting Valley Nails on and off over a span of 2 years. It's a very welcoming and diverse nail shop, and I appreciate every employee there. Throughout my time frequenting this nail shop I've had my nails done by 3 nail techs and they all have done a fanatic job. Liana is currently my go to, she's very kind and super creative! She suggested a chrome finish on a pink ombré color, and it really made it pop. I received many compliments during the three weeks of wearing them!She also did a milky white set that I absolutely love; and I look forward to collaborating with her on some more creative looks. Kiso and Christine are also fabulous, and before sitting with Liana have also done great work for me as well. Kiso takes her time to ensure that her work meets your standards, and Christine isn't afraid to try a new design and exceed your expectations. The best part is the distance, the shop isn't far from my place! So it's nice when I decide I need my claws redone last minute. "Doesn't reflect the exact experience." yeah found out real quick the (most expensive) 4 step application pedicure doesn't include hot stones, callus removal, prolonged massage or any of that lol ONE scrub and ONE type of mask (I guess, I call what they used lotion) which is the service I actually received not whatever you wanna call it. I paid $65, like I said before ma'am, because I got played & got the 2 step application and French $15. I wanted regular polish yes even after someone kept insisting I get gel which THANK GOD I DIDN'T. Why would I pay for gel when "you are paying extra for your polish" that doesn't even make sense ma'am. I did respond by saying that's ok I rarely get pedicures and I want it done. Hence my nail salon journey mentioned prior. I am on the LA hunt right now to find the best nail salon and YOU ARE NOT IT. "Things like callus removal and extra massage are extra charge" for the most expensive pedi there you don't include callus removal? That is just bad business lady. I left the salon very happy and praised everyone, because its old nana's working at your estiblishment and following your prices & your rules. I have class ma'am and respect for my elders. I'm not about to get confrontational with senior citizens. I know it's not them to whom I need to talk to about your crazy prices and extra for callus removal. I got played, an apology would be nice.
