From the moment I sat in Martin's chair, he was incredibly kind, attentive, and detail-oriented. You can truly see the care he puts into his work, and the quality speaks for itself. He takes his time and makes sure everything looks perfect. Hands down, I have officially found my new nail place! The entire staff at M Nails is welcoming and kind, and the quality of their work is amazing. 10/10 recommend! Thank you, Martin, for always taking such great care of me. You've definitely gained a loyal client!

Came here yesterday and it was pretty uncomfortable…read more The vibe was off. Small selection of colors to choose from. I had my natural nails painted with gel and my nail shape is uneven on several nails. like she didn't file them or cut them to be even... I had to ask several times for things to be fixed that I've never had to ask at a nail salon (can you cut this cuticle?) Girl doing my pedicure looked 18, and basically painted my whole toe then went back and removed polish from around the nail? Which is completely obvious on my nails. Had her hair down and had strings of hair getting in polish while she's painting , and on my feet. Also the woman stood over me at checkout time and pointed to the tip, then stared what I was putting in for the tip. Extremely uncomfortable experience. Won't be back . EDIT **** All my "gel" nail polish came off in less than a week. Cheap products , bad application

Her attention to detail, precision, and consistency are unmatched. I can always trust that I'll leave loving my nails, and I receive compliments on them everywhere I go. It's not easy finding a nail technician who consistently delivers excellent work, but Armineh truly does. Her professionalism, talent, and care for her clients keep me coming back every time. If you're looking for a clean salon with skilled technicians, I highly recommend this place. And if you can, book with Armineh--you won't be disappointed!

What I do know is that the interactions I had were with women that barely cracked a smile, and could have cared less about quality service. And now, 2 days after getting a GEL manicure two of my nails are chipped. The manicure was garbage. The tech didn't clean under my nails. The filing is uneven. Polish is thick. And now its chipping. Nina is great, I always try to book with her. She introduced me to builder gel / hard gel polish, which I consistently get now. Ideal way to grow out and strengthen your nails without adding too much length. Nina is a pro at them. I've had several people do my toes and haven't had a poor experience. I recommend Iohki / Aoki if she's available. There are massage chairs here for enjoyment. I don't get too adventurous with my nails - just solid colors for me. Still, I've seen plenty of ladies come through for colorfully elaborate designs. All in all, I highly recommend this nail shop if you're around the Toluca Lake, Burbank, Studio City, Van Nuys or North Hollywood areas. This is well-situated and I personally like that it's not on a very major street. Pay via credit card, cash, Zelle, Venmo, etc. I really appreciate that they offer so many options for payment, as a number of other small shops require cash. This nail shop is in a strip mall next to a pizza place and a Thai spot. There's free parking in the lot, but spacing is tight and the area gets busy. Come a little early!

I was a loyal customer at CHILL Nails for a couple of years, but unfortunately I can no longer…read morerecommend this salon. I would go as far as to recommend to NOT GO HERE. I noticed the prices were constantly changing and I frequently felt like I was being overcharged. What ultimately made me stop going, though, was developing a SERIOUS fungal infection in my toenails. Two of my toenails became so damaged that I essentially lost them. I brought the issue to their attention right when it started & they said I could take vitamins & it would go away.... When I brought the issue to the salon's attention, instead of showing concern or taking any accountability, I was told it was simply something I must have contracted on my own. I was also left with the impression that it would eventually go away. It didn't. Once I finally went to a doctor, I was immediately told that the infection was consistent w/ something contracted from a nail salon and that I needed to stop getting my nails done while it was treated. I really wish I had been encouraged to seek medical attention sooner instead of having my concerns brushed off, because I may have been able to prevent the amount of damage that occurred. After spending years as a customer, the lack of concern and accountability was extremely disappointing. Nail salons have a responsibility to take sanitation seriously, and when a longtime client raises a health concern this significant, it should not simply be dismissed.

Hi there... This is a review but also a clarification. Guru Nail Bar is no longer Guru Nail Bar. As…read moreof about sometime in April or early May, the owner of Guru Nail Bar, Lily, sold this location to a new owner, whose name is also Lily. The new owner, Lily, has renamed the shop to The Beauty Stop. So, if you've been here anytime since mid-April/early-May, you've been reviewing the new shop, The Beauty Stop, under new ownership, not Guru Nail Bar. The owner of Guru Nail Bar, Lily, has another location in Sherman Oaks called Beautevo on Ventura Blvd. Now, I've been to this location when it was Lily 1 and Guru Nail Bar, and then again once it was Lily 2 and The Beauty Stop. I had been going to Guru Nail Bar for my regular appts about every 2 weeks since Nov '23. I stopped in on a whim around Thanksgiving and got the best manicure I've ever had. So I decided to keep going there even though I live nowhere near it. I went as usual in early April and then I was out of town for several weeks. When I got back, I went in for my usual upkeep. It took me two visits to realize the place had been sold and was under new ownership but I knew the instant I walked in for that first appt in early May that something was radically different. The vibe had completely changed. There were new faces but that didn't faze me. It was the energy in the salon - it was a bit more frenetic. Whereas prior the space was calm and chill. I also noticed that while my nails always looked great, they weren't lasting as long. So, I hunted down Lily 1 and her other shop (I knew she had another location because she had referenced it on other occasions). It's Beautevo in Sherman Oaks. I went in for an appt last weekend and it was chill, and calm, and I got the best manicure, as usual. So, just know that if you're coming here to leave a review you're not doing it for Guru Nail Bar. It's for The Beauty Stop. As for my 5 star review, that's for when it was still Guru Nail Bar pre-transition. I'd give The Beauty Stop 4 stars.

Walked in at 4:10pm and got a pleasant, warm welcome from Jamy and her husband Nick. The salon was empty except one other woman doing her pedicure. Vast selection of nail polish colors. Regular and gel. Jamy, told me to take a seat, and without an appointment they welcomed me with open arms. Nick, her husband did my pedicure, and did heck of a great job!! He was also very funny. He was professional, knew his job well and was extremely meticulous about his work. They have 4 chairs to do their manicure, and 5 massage chairs to do their pedicure. Thankfully, the TV was on and it was not the depressing, sad, violent news. They were showing Americas got Talent. Also, soft music would have been nice to listen too. After he was done with my pedicure Jamy, took me inside their room where they do waxing. I needed to wax my under arms, and eye brows. She did a great job; and for both services they charged me $58.00. Even though they are the business owners, I still tipped them well. Place was super clean, with cute decor here and there. Parking shared with other businesses, and one gender neutral restroom also very clean. She even gave me a $2.00 off for my waxing. My only critique is that the massage that Nick did on my legs/feet was too short. Didn't even last 3 minutes. I also like the pressure to be medium to medium hard. He hand strong hands, but didn't deliver. I will definitely visit this salon when I am in the area. Highly recommend to others. Services that are being offered here are the following: waxing, manicure, manicure/pedicure, nail fill in, nail polish change and removal, and nail repair. Thank you Nick and Jamy.
