He takes his time and makes sure everything looks perfect. Hands down, I have officially found my new nail place! The entire staff at M Nails is welcoming and kind, and the quality of their work is amazing. 10/10 recommend! Thank you, Martin, for always taking such great care of me. I had my natural nails painted with gel and my nail shape is uneven on several nails. like she didn't file them or cut them to be even... I had to ask several times for things to be fixed that I've never had to ask at a nail salon (can you cut this cuticle?) Girl doing my pedicure looked 18, and basically painted my whole toe then went back and removed polish from around the nail? Which is completely obvious on my nails. Had her hair down and had strings of hair getting in polish while she's painting , and on my feet. Also the woman stood over me at checkout time and pointed to the tip, then stared what I was putting in for the tip. Extremely uncomfortable experience. Won't be back . EDIT **** All my "gel" nail polish came off in less than a week. Cheap products , bad application

Everyone is so sweet, attentive, and accommodating, and you can feel the care they put into making every visit a good experience. I absolutely love Armine for my Gel-X nails, and Alina has been doing my pedicures and I always leave satisfied. If they happen to not work on a day I truly need them done, they always accommodate me with someone just as professional and attentive. One of the things that means the most to me is how they treat my daughters when I bring them in for their nail appointments. The patience and attention they show them will always mean so much to me. Years later, I still love coming here, and I couldn't recommend Blush Nail Bar enough. If you're looking for a salon where you feel welcomed, cared for, and never just like another customer, this is the place.

Unfortunately, my most recent experience may be my last. I paid $190 (before tip) for a gel manicure and pedicure. During my manicure, I politely asked Jasmine questions about different gel options because I wanted to maintain my natural nails' strength without adding excessive thickness. Rather than helping me understand my options, she became visibly irritated and asked what I was complaining about. I wasn't complaining; I was simply trying to communicate my preferences. Two other employees eventually stepped in to help. Although her demeanor improved afterward, the interaction had already made me extremely uncomfortable. To make matters worse, my nail edges were left rough, and the usual cuticle oil and lotion were skipped entirely. I've overlooked similar attitudes in the past because I've generally been satisfied with their work, but at nearly $200 per visit, I expect both quality and respectful customer service. Asking questions about a service I'm paying for shouldn't feel confrontational. I'm disappointed that after years of coming here, I'm reconsidering returning.

Nina is great, I always try to book with her. She introduced me to builder gel / hard gel polish, which I consistently get now. Ideal way to grow out and strengthen your nails without adding too much length. Nina is a pro at them. I've had several people do my toes and haven't had a poor experience. I recommend Iohki / Aoki if she's available. There are massage chairs here for enjoyment. I don't get too adventurous with my nails - just solid colors for me. Still, I've seen plenty of ladies come through for colorfully elaborate designs. All in all, I highly recommend this nail shop if you're around the Toluca Lake, Burbank, Studio City, Van Nuys or North Hollywood areas. This is well-situated and I personally like that it's not on a very major street. Pay via credit card, cash, Zelle, Venmo, etc. I really appreciate that they offer so many options for payment, as a number of other small shops require cash. This nail shop is in a strip mall next to a pizza place and a Thai spot. There's free parking in the lot, but spacing is tight and the area gets busy. Come a little early!

I was a loyal customer at CHILL Nails for a couple of years, but unfortunately I can no longer…read morerecommend this salon. I would go as far as to recommend to NOT GO HERE. I noticed the prices were constantly changing and I frequently felt like I was being overcharged. What ultimately made me stop going, though, was developing a SERIOUS fungal infection in my toenails. Two of my toenails became so damaged that I essentially lost them. I brought the issue to their attention right when it started & they said I could take vitamins & it would go away.... When I brought the issue to the salon's attention, instead of showing concern or taking any accountability, I was told it was simply something I must have contracted on my own. I was also left with the impression that it would eventually go away. It didn't. Once I finally went to a doctor, I was immediately told that the infection was consistent w/ something contracted from a nail salon and that I needed to stop getting my nails done while it was treated. I really wish I had been encouraged to seek medical attention sooner instead of having my concerns brushed off, because I may have been able to prevent the amount of damage that occurred. After spending years as a customer, the lack of concern and accountability was extremely disappointing. Nail salons have a responsibility to take sanitation seriously, and when a longtime client raises a health concern this significant, it should not simply be dismissed.

Hi there... This is a review but also a clarification. Guru Nail Bar is no longer Guru Nail Bar. As…read moreof about sometime in April or early May, the owner of Guru Nail Bar, Lily, sold this location to a new owner, whose name is also Lily. The new owner, Lily, has renamed the shop to The Beauty Stop. So, if you've been here anytime since mid-April/early-May, you've been reviewing the new shop, The Beauty Stop, under new ownership, not Guru Nail Bar. The owner of Guru Nail Bar, Lily, has another location in Sherman Oaks called Beautevo on Ventura Blvd. Now, I've been to this location when it was Lily 1 and Guru Nail Bar, and then again once it was Lily 2 and The Beauty Stop. I had been going to Guru Nail Bar for my regular appts about every 2 weeks since Nov '23. I stopped in on a whim around Thanksgiving and got the best manicure I've ever had. So I decided to keep going there even though I live nowhere near it. I went as usual in early April and then I was out of town for several weeks. When I got back, I went in for my usual upkeep. It took me two visits to realize the place had been sold and was under new ownership but I knew the instant I walked in for that first appt in early May that something was radically different. The vibe had completely changed. There were new faces but that didn't faze me. It was the energy in the salon - it was a bit more frenetic. Whereas prior the space was calm and chill. I also noticed that while my nails always looked great, they weren't lasting as long. So, I hunted down Lily 1 and her other shop (I knew she had another location because she had referenced it on other occasions). It's Beautevo in Sherman Oaks. I went in for an appt last weekend and it was chill, and calm, and I got the best manicure, as usual. So, just know that if you're coming here to leave a review you're not doing it for Guru Nail Bar. It's for The Beauty Stop. As for my 5 star review, that's for when it was still Guru Nail Bar pre-transition. I'd give The Beauty Stop 4 stars.

Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a nail salon. The Owner and Manager's are…read moreconsistently "entitled" and rude - even to loyal customers. NOTE: The amount of hypocrisy in the messages they respond to reviews on here is incredible. They consistently use the terminology that they "value loyalty" - yet again, if you dare to cancel an appointment (respectfully, with communication), their way of handling, it will be to punish you. So no amount of polite "up speak" or other comments can make up for the fact that this is how they actually handle loyal customers. For some reason, the ownership, which is a partnership between Patti, and her male counterpart, believe that you've committed some horrible offense if you dare to reschedule your appointment. They're one of 1000 manicure salons in Los Angeles, and they happen to be right down the street from some major Studios, so how insane is it that they find it offensive that busy folk in the entertainment industry might need to occasionally reschedule their appointment??! I've been a loyal customer for over five months, having put up with some of the rudeness and entitlement, because there was one Manicurist, who always did a decent job. I even on one occasion them brought them expensive smoothies because I happen to be grabbing one for myself... But did it stop them from being rude when three months later I needed to reschedule an appointment?! No. In fact, they acted as if I wasn't a loyal customer, and as if I had done something atrocious, like missed an appointment, without bothering to request the appropriate change. My reason for cancellation? I had had a serious medical situation come up. I even offered to pay for my missed appointment, but all I got back was that I was no longer welcome to schedule with that particular Manicurist, because her time and schedule is very important. They also then told me the only way that I could book in a future appointment would be online- so I was being punished for having a medical emergency and having the audacity to actually try to reschedule a manicure appointment! I have all the texts to prove this, if annyone out there wishes proof of this. Additionally, they lied, and said that "due to my several cancellations" - when I literally had only had ONE cancellation, five months, previous, again to due to illness. I don't know if this cruel and vindictive behavior that does not value, loyalty and kindness is because the owners are just unkind human beings, or if they're just so overwhelmed with always being shortstaffed that they've decided the only way to handle their personal upset is to take it out on loyal customers. Doesn't matter. I immediately rescheduled with an outstanding manicure salon that just opened literally five minutes from them, and so far those two appointments have been outstanding. Bel-Air Nails. But really, as we all know, there's thousands of good nail salons in Los Angeles, this is definitely not one of them. Thank you. - Kathryn B.

Walked in at 4:10pm and got a pleasant, warm welcome from Jamy and her husband Nick. The salon was empty except one other woman doing her pedicure. Vast selection of nail polish colors. Regular and gel. Jamy, told me to take a seat, and without an appointment they welcomed me with open arms. Nick, her husband did my pedicure, and did heck of a great job!! He was also very funny. He was professional, knew his job well and was extremely meticulous about his work. They have 4 chairs to do their manicure, and 5 massage chairs to do their pedicure. Thankfully, the TV was on and it was not the depressing, sad, violent news. They were showing Americas got Talent. Also, soft music would have been nice to listen too. After he was done with my pedicure Jamy, took me inside their room where they do waxing. I needed to wax my under arms, and eye brows. She did a great job; and for both services they charged me $58.00. Even though they are the business owners, I still tipped them well. Place was super clean, with cute decor here and there. Parking shared with other businesses, and one gender neutral restroom also very clean. She even gave me a $2.00 off for my waxing. My only critique is that the massage that Nick did on my legs/feet was too short. Didn't even last 3 minutes. I also like the pressure to be medium to medium hard. He hand strong hands, but didn't deliver. I will definitely visit this salon when I am in the area. Highly recommend to others. Services that are being offered here are the following: waxing, manicure, manicure/pedicure, nail fill in, nail polish change and removal, and nail repair. Thank you Nick and Jamy.
