The technicians are superb. The mgmt staff, not so much. When I called to book my appointment, the phone rang 20 times. At my appointment, I sat in my chair, mouth agape, as the receptionist read sexts aloud for fun... in front of an 8 year old. I've been trying to set up an appointment with my favorite nail tech Mary for over a week and she isn't listed on the site so I can book her. Luckily she still works there and can't explain why she is not listed but confirmed she is there Mondays and Tuesdays. If anyone needs her, she's there just call and tell them you want to book her. I'm sitting in another nail salon mortified they think I ripped my nails off at home. I was given a gift card and for a deluxe mani and pedi to let my nails breathe from my last set. They left the gel-x residue on my nails. I'm not even sure how because the woman doing my manicure drilled my nails very thin when removing them. I've also gotten my eyebrows waxed here, they had me sitting on a stool facing the ceiling in the corner of the salon. When I mentioned it was strange they said customers prefer it. I've been to this company maybe times and enjoyed going I have been to this company many times prior, but not in this location in Burbank. I would go to the location in Noho west. I am usually never picky with my eyebrows since my eyebrows are very thick and tend to grow really easily. But my experience at this location was not at all great I walked in open-minded and didn't realize how messy this location was. I've never been to a messier room before to get this service done. I began to get my eyebrows done and the eyebrow lady was very sweet, but it felt as in she was rushed the entire time. All I was getting was criticism from my prior eyebrow lady work. All I heard was that my eyebrows were super uneven that they were super thick and as we all do, we ask them and tell them to fix them. I opened my eyes and before that I already felt something was wrong since she kept going over and over with the wax on the same spot. I am a cosmetologist and I therefore know you're not supposed to go over over and over and over again on the same spot with wax because it may cause irritation. I opened my eyes and I felt like they were super uneven. My eyebrows were super skinny and I wasn't going to make this yelp review. But I woke up with a chemical burn on the eyebrow that felt very hot that same day. Now, unfortunately, I'm going to leave town with this chemical burn on my eyebrow. read more

I always have quality service at this Nail Garden location. I am a creature of habit so I tend to go to the same person for my acrylic but usually get whomever for a pedicure. I always feel taken care of and they usually help me find new fun things to try as well. Additionally, the receptionists are so nice and always helpful. If anything changes in schedule or someone is running late, they let me know. It's usually not an issue. They can get pretty busy so I would highly recommend making an appointment rather than walking in. read more

I will not come back. Not worth what they charge. Came here for the first time since I live near by. Asked how much a full set of Gel X was, they quoted $90. I wanted a design & they said it would be extra but didn't disclose how much. When I was finished, the total was $130 just for my nails, making my total $195 with a gel pedicure as well. This was not a nice salon to be charging prices like that and I feel they just spike up random prices to get money from people. All I got were black swirls on my nails & I do not think an extra $40 was called for this, that could've been partially my fault for not asking an exact price but I feel that was so deceiving. Pedicure: $65 and one of the worst pedicures I've ever had. No pedicure menu, you get a 30 second massage on each leg, the polish and that's IT. I've never had a pedicure where they massage you so little & don't do anything else besides the coloring. They barely even put my friend & I's feet in warm water. FYI, she also got a pedicure and it was the same. read more

I was pretty self-conscious, but Julie was so kind and reassuring that we could get my nails back on track! Not only was she so sweet, and fun to talk to, but she also explained every step of the process. As someone who loves to learn, I appreciated her telling me why she was taking each step. I've just had the worst experience I've ever had at the Burbank Nail Garden with nail tech Gohar. Yesterday 10/13/2023 at 4 p.m. I asked if there were any walk in appointments available and Gohar, who appeared to be leaving, stayed to do my Russian gel manicure. She was very rough with the grinding/buffing tools making my nails feel sensitive and then proceeded to cut 3 of my fingers while cleaning my nail beds. After she finished painting my nails she put cuticle oil all over not just my nails, but my hands and arms. Despite all of this I still tipped her generously which I now regret. I went to my car and wiped off all of the oil to reveal that my nails were thick and uneven and the top coat did not fully dry (see photos). I NEVER do this but I went back in to the salon and asked for them to be fixed. Gohar had already left and I waited another 30 minutes for someone to be finished with their existing appointments - which I completely understand. Another nail technician, Hasmik, was very kind and empathetic while redoing the top coat. She acknowledged that my nails were not done properly by Gohar and requested that the front desk schedule me a new appointment the following day to fix them. When I come this morning 10/14 at 10:30 a.m. to get my nails redone I never would've guessed that the front desk person would schedule me with Gohar again despite my initial dissatisfaction. As I was not willing to wait even longer and waste my weekend even more to fix my nails I decided to give her another attempt. As she removed my current polish and began grinding down my nails again I let her know that it hurt. She apologized and then was careful for a few minutes before increasing the speed of her tool and continuing to rush. Eventually she began doing my nails again and had issues with the top coat once more. Throughout this ordeal she blamed me and insinuated that it must've been how I was putting my hands in the UV machine which I told her I didn't appreciate and clearly showed her every time I put my hands in and out of the machine. Then she blamed the polish and the machine itself. Gohar (and I) grew increasingly frustrated as she redid the top coat multiple times and I saw her exasperation as she again tried to rush this time so she could take a new client. As soon as she was "finished" I couldn't wait to get out of the salon as she had wasted so much of my time because she was in a hurry and not at all concerned with doing the right thing or even doing her job adequately. I didn't expect the best nails I've ever received but I did expect a respectable set of average nails. As I left I let the front desk know that I never wanted Gohar to do my nails ever again. Unfortunately when I got to my car again I had to pay for her impatience and negligence because 2 nails didn't properly dry and they had lint on them. I then return to the salon and wait for Hasmik to fix the nails in question. Again she was very understanding and kind and still appeared to be unsatisfied with Gohar's reattempt. Gohar approached the table and tried to again say that it wasn't her work causing the poor nail job, but the products. At this point I had enough of her unprofessionalism and asked for her to leave me alone. As Hasmik finished my nails and pointed out all of the other errors in my nails I was beyond frustrated and literally in tears - as soon as my nails were done at 12:50 p.m. I left the salon feeling so upset and embarrassed. Outside of Hasmik and my usual nail technician Liana, I don't think I'll ever feel confident to have a good experience at Nail Garden again. read more
