My go to nail place was fully booked and I was in need of a SAME DAY/ SAME HOUR Mani/Pedi. So happy I reached out tho this nail salon. They were able to see me that same hour and were even able to squeeze in my husband for a mani. The salon is clean, their music playlist livens up the energy, and the nail techs are friendly. I appreciate the complimentary hot towel service. Van did my manicure and she was meticulous and gentle. Looking forward to my next visit! read more

Amazing quality and service. my Daughter was in a wedding and had gel x and nails put on and her nails lasted 2 solid months and didn't break. They are really nice, they have very clean salon. This was my first time at NN and I'm so happy with my French gel pedicure! My pedicurist was gentle, sweet & a protectionist. I will definitely request her for my next visit. I recently visited this salon to have gel polish removed from my hands only, as you can see from the picture it's just a couple of fingers. Most of the polish was already off nonetheless, it had to be removed completely by the tech. When it was all done, I was charged $30- I could not believe it! It only took 15 mins and didn't even get my nails polished. I will never go back! Simply too expensive; $10 more I could've gotten the full set. Will never go back. read more

Don't let the no-frills vibe fool you -- Nail Nation is a hidden gem. The staff are genuinely some of the sweetest people, and they have a real knack for making you feel right at home the moment you walk in. Everyone here clearly knows their craft, and I've always left happy. I have my go-to person (I'll keep that to myself -- a girl's gotta protect her appointment slot ), but honestly I think you'd be in good hands with anyone on the team. I haven't gone anywhere else in over three years, and I don't plan to anytime soon. If you're in Burbank and looking for a nail place with heart, this is it. read more

Just coming back to say how much I love this nail salon. I've been coming here consistently since 2018 and I've always loved the cleanliness, the hospitality, and how they're not afraid to get creative! They can get busy later in the week but I usually go on a Tuesday or Wednesday early afternoon and they're able to get me in. I typically just call day of or the day before to schedule, but they do take walk ins. I always have anxiety asking for a design and I usually won't unless they're slow, but they've always been so accommodating, reasonably priced, and kind about it. My nails always last and if for any reason I need a quick fix, they make it happen. Van has done my nails the past few times. She's so sweet and talented! Highly recommend! read more

Made an appt. In advance for 5:45pm. Showed up on time and there was at least 4 ppl waiting. I checked in and they did not say anything aside from "pick a color" and they never said anything else. I waited 1 hour for someone to FINALLY seat me on a massage chair and soaked my feet for another 30 mins. To add to this, ppl that came AFTER me were being seated and serviced before. They didn't start on my pedicure until 7:15!! I got to the salon at 5:45 and left the salon at 8:20. I STILL WENT BACK.... Again.... I called ahead and asked for an appt with Van. They confirmed she was open for 3pm. I said over the phone "are you sure because I'm going during my work lunch i don't have time to wait" they confirmed and said "yes come at 3" I got there at 3:05 and Van was "finishing up" a customer. They told me to have a seat at the table. 3:15 hit and i was still waiting. I said is she almost done my appt was at 3!??! And Van comes over and says 10 more minutes. I GOT UP AND WALKED UP. They are very inconsiderate of ppls times and could give a shit about appointments. They only tend to their regulars. Never going back and i wouldn't recommend new customers to go either. read more

Mindy and Nail Nation is the BEST I've been going to Mindy for a year now and I honestly wouldn't trust anyone else!!! She thorough and does exactly the shape I like. I've been going to Nail Nation Studio for my nails for the last couple of years. I'm super anal about my nails and I have yet to be disappointed. Both of my techs are amazing. Super courteous, super thorough, super friendly. The vibe of the salon no matter the day or time is always upbeat and friendly. Everyone knows my name and always greets me. A friend booked us appointments for pedicures on a weekend morning. They are located in a small plaza but since we went early enough, there was plenty of parking. There is a Baskin Robbins in the same plaza which just feels like the perfect treat yo' self experience after a pedicure. We walked in and were greeted but they didn't really seem to ask about our appointment. There were chairs open so they just sat us down. About 20 minutes after our arrival, the place started to get busy so maybe appointments are essential if you're coming in during busy hours. I have to say, this was my first pedicure. I had no idea what to expect going in. I had no idea what the options meant. I had no idea what the protocol was. Once I sat down, the technician offered me their menu (is that what we call it?) of services and asked me to pick one. Since it was my first time I went with a basic, straightforward pedicure, no gel, nothing fancy, but I did add the scrub for an additional $10 charge. The pedicure also comes with a little leg massage which was nice. The scrub, I felt was really quick and didn't really add much. They filed my heels for 2 seconds. So I don't know if I would get the upgrade next time. The technician was really quick but efficient. She brought me folders of different nail color options and I chose a pastel purple shade. She quickly did my nails. She didn't hurt me, kept checking in, making sure I was content with the progress of her work. I didn't tell her it was my first time but she still made me feel really comfortable and allowed me to voice my preferences as opposed to just assuming what I would like, so it was a good experience overall. It's been a month and my pedicure still looks immaculate. I definitely would return and treat myself more often. They also have a loyalty card where they stamp your card each visit and you get your 10th one free. read more

She does really clean work and takes her time to make sure everything looks like! I go every 2-3 weeks now. I also enjoy pedicures from Hannah! She does a very nice job with removing my ingrown nail. I have been here twice and have no complaints! Both times i did have an appointment, so not sure how a walk in experience would be like. I've booked both through the Yelp app and by calling. I changed from a salon I was going to in north Hollywood since I was looking to get Gelx. I had one of the male employees and I would highly recommend getting him! He took his time in both the removal of the nails as well as application. Both times I showed him a picture and nailed the design! They do say to tip on cash, but I'm the worst and always forget cash. So I have cashed on my card both times. I will definitely be making this my new nail spot! read more

I will not come here again, came for the great reviews. I was finally getting pampered for my baby shower weekend and birthday week. I had two guys doing my nails, my nails are so thick and I explained to them the picture I wanted because it goes with my baby shower theme. My nails are crooked, very thick, and see through! I went to another salon to fix their mistake. Was not worth $135 at all, & I still gave a tip when I shouldn't have. When I go to a salon they usually give me recommendations what could be close to what I wanted I received none of that and I got cut numerous times. He also put that tool he cut me with back with everything else, cross contamination. read more

Amazing service!!! I came today for the first time, off a blind hunch as I discovered you guys today. I got a builder gel Mani with Van and a gel pedi with Sandy. Van was super detailed and even did the water bowl method for my cuticles which is never included in most builder gel services. Sandy was super gentle with my feet and got all my ingrowns with no pain at all ( almost magical). Prices are super reasonable too and actually a couple dollars cheaper than my go-to salon. You've won me over completely. I am now going to be a regular client there. Atmosphere was small and cozy but clean and well set up. I love the ambiance. read more

I just had to come back and review the gel x service Tiffani provides. I was a bit skeptical to try gel x because I was scared they would just pop off or break easier than acrylic but let me tell you, Tiffani doesn't disappoint in this area either. My gel x set lasted me 4 weeks without a break or any popping off. I will attach a picture of how good my set (along with my cute Xmas design) still looked when I came in to get a fill. My wife has visited this salon twice and said they're one of the better salons in the area. Both times her gel nails have lasted 3+ weeks without chipping, cracking, or peeling. Was under quoted and paid more than double the quote given. - I had 3 nail techs work on my nails that day. I was there for 6** hours. -pedicure nail tech put my feet in room temp water, got the color wrong and I had to ask if they would scrub my feet where she then swiped my heels twice. That's all. I pointed out the color was wrong and the nail was filed at an angle and it stayed that way unfixed. - first nail techs working on my gel x manicure put the extensions on crooked and had to remove some to redo them. Still put them on crooked the second time and told me she wouldn't have time to paint them all and do the art as the shop were closing in an hour and she had to leave right at 7. Nails are very far from cuticle and my cities were destroyed. I then had to wait for the 2nd manicure tech to finish my manicure. -second nail techs working on my manicure was amazing and tied her best to make my appointment enjoyable and make my nails look as good as they can with the crooked extensions and cut cuticles. Nails are still crooked and they look like I've had them on for weeks / already look grown out. Mind you I've had them on for 4 days. I reached out to the owner and she was very rude. She said she needed to investigate where she talked to everyone in the salon and got back to me via text. They offered me a $30 *courtesy credit towards my next visit and that's all. I paid $300 including all tips and they will not make it right but instead blame me; stating the extended time of my appointment was me being late. I was not late. Had an appointment at 4 and called an hour ahead to change it to 5. Also tried to stats the incorrect quote was something they would not have done. But I made the appointment based on the quote. Tried to argue but the owner stopped replying to me all together even after I sent her photos of my nails. Also missed my date that night dude to the service issues and time. :/ The whole reason I went to get my nails done to begin with. Do not go here.

Nina is great, I always try to book with her. She introduced me to builder gel / hard gel polish, which I consistently get now. Ideal way to grow out and strengthen your nails without adding too much length. Nina is a pro at them. I've had several people do my toes and haven't had a poor experience. I recommend Iohki / Aoki if she's available. There are massage chairs here for enjoyment. I don't get too adventurous with my nails - just solid colors for me. Still, I've seen plenty of ladies come through for colorfully elaborate designs. All in all, I highly recommend this nail shop if you're around the Toluca Lake, Burbank, Studio City, Van Nuys or North Hollywood areas. This is well-situated and I personally like that it's not on a very major street. Pay via credit card, cash, Zelle, Venmo, etc. I really appreciate that they offer so many options for payment, as a number of other small shops require cash. This nail shop is in a strip mall next to a pizza place and a Thai spot. There's free parking in the lot, but spacing is tight and the area gets busy. Come a little early!

I noticed the prices were constantly changing and I frequently felt like I was being overcharged. What ultimately made me stop going, though, was developing a SERIOUS fungal infection in my toenails. Two of my toenails became so damaged that I essentially lost them. I brought the issue to their attention right when it started & they said I could take vitamins & it would go away.... When I brought the issue to the salon's attention, instead of showing concern or taking any accountability, I was told it was simply something I must have contracted on my own. I was also left with the impression that it would eventually go away. It didn't. Once I finally went to a doctor, I was immediately told that the infection was consistent w/ something contracted from a nail salon and that I needed to stop getting my nails done while it was treated. I really wish I had been encouraged to seek medical attention sooner instead of having my concerns brushed off, because I may have been able to prevent the amount of damage that occurred. After spending years as a customer, the lack of concern and accountability was extremely disappointing. Nail salons have a responsibility to take sanitation seriously, and when a longtime client raises a health concern this significant, it should not simply be dismissed.

He was professional, knew his job well and was extremely meticulous about his work. They have 4 chairs to do their manicure, and 5 massage chairs to do their pedicure. Thankfully, the TV was on and it was not the depressing, sad, violent news. They were showing Americas got Talent. Also, soft music would have been nice to listen too. After he was done with my pedicure Jamy, took me inside their room where they do waxing. I needed to wax my under arms, and eye brows. She did a great job; and for both services they charged me $58.00. Even though they are the business owners, I still tipped them well. Place was super clean, with cute decor here and there. Parking shared with other businesses, and one gender neutral restroom also very clean. She even gave me a $2.00 off for my waxing. My only critique is that the massage that Nick did on my legs/feet was too short. Didn't even last 3 minutes. I also like the pressure to be medium to medium hard. He hand strong hands, but didn't deliver. I will definitely visit this salon when I am in the area. Highly recommend to others. Services that are being offered here are the following: waxing, manicure, manicure/pedicure, nail fill in, nail polish change and removal, and nail repair. Thank you Nick and Jamy.

I came in at 5:20 PM and didn't leave until 7:15 PM, The older lady who did my pedicure also seemed rushed, cut me during the service, and overall it wasn't relaxing at all. I paid $150 total for both services, so I really expected better work and more attention to detail. I think the salon should make sure technicians are properly trained and that the quality matches the prices being charged. No one has time to go back to fix things

Loved our experience with this place, the place was very clean with super friendly staff! I got long coffin GelX and I was honestly so worried about them popping off (my first time with GelX) BUT I've had them on for ~3 weeks by now and they have stayed just as stuck as the first day! My mom got short square acrylics with gel French and she LOVED them! The guy who helped her listened to all of our requests and did them so seamlessly! They aren't super thick and they have a great shape! Pricing was honestly not bad IMO my GelX cost 65$ and the acrylics cost 70$ which for the quality and service I think is not bad read more

I've been coming here for my nails and I can't recommend this place enough! Tiffany is absolutely amazing, she's so thorough, pays attention to every detail, and my nails never break. On top of that, her designs are always beautiful and exactly what I ask for (if not better!). The salon itself is very clean, and the whole team is so kind and accommodating. They really make you feel comfortable every time you walk in. If you're looking for quality work and a great experience, definitely ask for Tiffany! read more

Pay via cash, card, Apple Pay, Venmo or Zelle. If there isn't a wait, you should be in and out in about 30-45 minutes. This is a no-nonsense, no-frills salon, just how I like them. Up-charges are available if you personally prefer a more elaborate and lavish experience. People don't really chat here. There's always good music playing. Again, works for me! Parking is a bit compact, but usually easy to find. This plaza also contains a few eateries, a smoke shop, and some other retail places.

I recently came in for hard gel / builder gel nail removal, and unfortunately the experience was…read moreextremely painful. I would rate the pain around a 7 out of 10. During the removal process, the electric drill used to remove the gel felt like it was scraping my actual nail, not just the gel. It was very uncomfortable and painful while it was happening. In addition, the UV curing light was left on each nail for too long, which caused a strong burning sensation. Another tool was used underneath my nails (possibly to clean underneath them), but it involved filing under the nail, which was painful both during the process and afterward. By the end of the appointment, my nails and fingertips were throbbing and stinging, and I was sweating throughout the service from how uncomfortable it was. There also seemed to be a bit of a language barrier or miscommunication when discussing the nail shape. I was initially asked what shape I wanted and we said almond, but it was later switched to oval. I was completely fine with that (it's actually what I wanted), but the change wasn't clearly communicated verbally until I asked again to clarify the shape. The technician herself was very nice and sweet, and I appreciate her kindness during the appointment. However, the level of pain during the process felt torturous, and because of that I would not return for this service again.
