One of the lady's literally put acrylic powder on my skin on multiple nails and pored so much super glue on my nail and it went on my skin and I started bleeding. So, I had to get my nails done lol JK JK. I was taking my wife and her three chicken heads to a big event. As we were driving, my wife chipped/broke her nail and was devastated. So, I googled the closest Nail shop and Diamond nails came up. I was weary on the reviews but time was of the essence. We arrived and they were pretty busy. Seems like it is just a couple people working there. But you can tell they are hard workers. I was surprise to see a male manicurist (and I'm surprised I spelled that correctly on the first try). He was very friendly and funny as hell too. They took my wife in since it was kinda of an emergency. They asked the other customers if they would mind (they didn't) that they squeeze my wife in between. So, he basically would multi-task. While one customer wait for drying, he would do whatever magic and work on my wife and alternate. Everything came out perfect. The place was so friendly and fun that I ended up paying for the customers that were inconvenienced. The place is clean and they even let me sit in the massage chair while I waited. Everyone was nice and overall my best experience in a nail shop lol. They even had the football game on TV !!! Great place!!! read more

My first visit to Diamond Nails for a gel fill and pedicure regular color turned into a nightmare. I had a 1:00 pm appointment with Ben, I arrived at 1:01, he did mentioned I would get my pedicure first ; which I did that lasted longer than I anticipated. Problems with polish that would not dry, but smearing every time she was done, I had to ask her to te-do my big toes. she was having an attitude and complaining in her language to the other workers. It took about an hr to do a simply pedicure and polish. (She never wore gloves) Next Ben, first of all, he has no idea how to do nails, I hope he has a license, that's not expired. He fiddled, with filing, my nails that lasted about half an hour, next , he took a phone call, told me to wash my hands after an hour trying to do my nails, I chose a polish, he said, "it was a bad polish that leaves air bubbles on my nails, he did not take off old bad polish, but instead; told me to choose another similar color to put on top of the bad one. I told him I've been in the shop two hours and a half and my nails and feet looks horrible! He says, come back tomorrow and he'll re-do my polish over... why should I go back to a shop that so terrible. He says, pay for the pedicure and the nail fill and I did. $37.00 for nightmare. Diamond shop Manager Aimee or lady that sits at the door, just says, "I'm sorry after I showed her my hands and feet". Wow! If anyone goes to Diamond nails on Balboa in Van Nuys do not get BEN! My first time at diamond nails. My regular nail salon was not excepting credit cards all of a sudden and it aggravated me so I decided to try this place. I called approximately 12 PM told him it was an emergency they gave me an immediate appointment for 4 PM. I got there at 4:20 they were kind enough to send me right away removed all my broken acrylic nails put new ones for me. The nail tech was Super friendly we spoke the whole time I have no idea how time past next thing I knew I had beautiful long nails she help me pick a gorgeous blue which I will post a photo of. Anyone that lives in the area or even close by should check this place out very clean salon with absolutely excellent service. Geez this place has to be the worst. I just went in to get a mani/pedi since I live in the neighborhood. Here is why this place sucks! 1. Outdated and I question the sanitation. 2. Mani was rushed. Had oil and lotion still on my arms before she asked me to go sit in the pedi chair. 3. Pedi was really rushed. Again had lotion all on my legs still and she is putting top coat in my toes. I had to wipe it off myself. 4. Price chart says $22 for mani/pedi. Was charged $25. Didn't get a design or anything, but I guess she wanted to make sure she got her tip. I guess she couldn't wait to go watch tv since she spent a total 25 minutes on my mani/pedi. Don't waste your time folks. I knew I should have kept driving to find another nail salon. read more

I have been growing out my natural nails from having acrylic nails for years. I went to get my first real manicure in years. The shop is small but awesome, the woman doing my gel manicure took such time and care. She buffed my nails with a file instead of drilling before applying my polish and shaped my nails so well ( I didnt have much to work with since I have been growing out my nails haha). I do not know too many business owners who would provide that kind of service when it's not required. She and her husband (Ben) create a comfortable and fun environment. Her staff is awesome, all the girls are super sweet and caring. They really know what they are doing. I hear a lot of nightmare stories about other nail salons and I can honestly say I have never had any problems at Diamond Nails. It's a clean salon, all the tools are cleaned & safe for usage and all the employees are careful with their work techniques. I highly recommend getting your nails done here. I've been going to this amazing nail shop for about 15. I met them when I was about 18, they are amazing at customer service, they always aim to please, they make sure that you happy and satisfied when you leave their shop. They are a family based nail shop, and Amy and Ben(Husband & Wife) are amazing, I am a perfectionist, and Amy always makes sure to get it perfect every time. I always seem to get ingrown toenail on my foot, and I can honestly say that Amy is a surgeon when it comes to getting it out, but every time I go, without a doubt she's always getting it done, Ben is amazing at gel nails, he and Amy have loyal customers that have been coming to them for years, the other girls at the shop are also amazing. It's the most amazing place to go to.. I have been going here for over 10 years! At first, it was because it was near my house. I have since moved away, but I still make my regular trips here to get my mani, pedi, and eyebrows. I do NOT trust anyone other than Amy to do my eyebrows. My cousin recommended Amy a few years back and she doesn't go to anyone else either. They are always friendly and accommodating. Sometimes I see people get upset because they didn't have an appt and they are busy - but they are busy for a reason, and they don't rush on their customers because someone is waiting. THAT is a rare occurrence in the nail shop industry. I much prefer having to call ahead and see if they have time to squeeze me in, that go to some nail shop that feels like a factory and gets you in and out. read more

He was personable, but he cut me twice on two different fingers, the nails were not even lengths and they were crooked. His work desk was not very clean and he was texting in between his work. Walked over here for 3 acrylic nail repairs around 1pm. They had two people in there and refused me service because they said they were too busy and the wait would be too long. Didn't offer me another appointment time, just acted as if I was seriously inconveniencing them, the woman I spoke to kept looking at the clock (while I was speaking to her) like I walked in 5 min before they closed. I offered to sit and wait any length of time as I needed to have the service done. But they refused me and my money. Good luck guys.
