Enjoying our dinner
AnnaAlicia H.

Amazing service and the restaurant has a fantastic chill ambiance. I'm not a big meat eater and never ever order steak. I tend to get a big salad. I took a bite of my husbands steak and was so taken aback by how amazing it was! Now I want to go back and order steak. I've quite literally never ordered a steak in my life lol Highly recommend

Bbq feast.

Food was delicious. Portions were huge. The service from Mickey was excellent! It wasn't loud, which was awesome! We got the BBQ feast which came with 3 meats and 3 sides. The corn brûlée, charro beans and the mashed potatoes were wonderful. The ahi tuna tower was such a big portion for the price. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely love the food here. I'm from El Paso and it was very surprising to see them here! The house sauce goes great with the steaks. Meat is always tender and cooked to perfection.

When I came here the last time, I didn't get to try what I wanted to the first time around because I was on a time crunch to catch a flight. However, I didn't have a flight to catch this time!!! I really really wanted the bbq feast, which included the brisket, pork ribs and either a sirloin steak or chicken (got the sirloin) and 3 sides. We picked the corn brûlée, cilantro rice and fries. I'm so happy I got this meal. It was exactly what I wanted. The brisket is so soft and tender. You get so much satisfaction in every bite. I personally felt it needed bbq sauce though so I asked for that as well. Tasted great with it. This was my mom's favorite. She loved how soft it was. I love how the rub on the pork ribs tasted and how tender they were. Really solid!!! Would definitely get this again!!! But I do love my ribs... My mom enjoyed these a lot too. The sirloin was cooked really well and tasted good. There was a dip on the table to put it in, but I don't recall what it is called by memory. It's a familiar taste, but I didn't ask specifically what it was. That goes well with the steak though. My mom thinks the steak came out well too and enjoyed it. For the sides, you only get to pick from 5 instead of the 10 or so that they have with this meal, so there was no Mac and cheese. Boo. But to make up for it, the corn brûlée was fantastic. It's warm, savory, flavorful, and comforting. Love it. The cilantro rice is really good too and has a taste that you don't find too often in places. It's like similar but better than Chipotle's rice. A little bit more tangy maybe? The fries are fries. I don't think my mom had any opinions about the sides. If she did, she kept them to herself. You can get as much warm bread as you want, and what makes the brisket even better is putting it in between the bread and turning it into a sandwich. Yum!!! My mom got a coffee. I was surprised to see it came in a French press. I haven't drank coffee in a long time so I don't know how that tasted and didn't ask my mom. We got to watch the Super Bowl, which was nice, on a really big tv. The Seahawks won, so a lot of my friends in Seattle should be really happy! The server was super attentive and kind; she kept refilling our water whenever our glasses were low. The ambiance should be covered in the previous review. Definitely happy to get some bbq at this place for only $75!

Potato skins - should be renamed to potato skin chips

My husband and I were craving steakhouse burgers, so we decided to give West Texas Chophouse a try. Upon arrival, we noticed the restaurant was nearly empty, which was already a concerning sign. There was no host/hostess at the front to seat us, so we waited until someone finally noticed us standing there. Once seated, our waiter promptly brought water, a to-go cup for our baby, and a high chair, and this was the extent of the good customer service we received. We ordered the potato skins, assuming they would be loaded based on the description. Our waiter mentioned something about them being "chips," but he walked away mid-sentence, and we didn't fully catch it. When the appetizer arrived, they were potato skin chips with sour cream for dipping, not what we expected. Clearer menu labeling or photos would help prevent confusion in the future. For our entrees, I ordered Alejandro's Favorite Burger, cooked medium rare with onion rings, and my husband ordered the Mac & Cheese Burger, also medium rare with steak fries. We planned to share the burgers to try both. However, when mine arrived, it unexpectedly had two patties. The top patty was well done, and the bottom patty was medium-well, which was far from the requested medium rare. My husband's burger was overcooked, nearly well done. Both burgers were bland and unseasoned, and my husband's burger was extremely dry. Even our baby, who typically loves burgers, refused to eat it. My husband specifically ordered his burger for the crispy onion strings, which arrived cold, as if prepared earlier in the day. Overall, these were some of the worst burgers we have had. While our waiter was polite, his service was inconsistent. Several times he asked questions like, "Is everything okay?" but walked away before completeing the sentence, making it impossible to respond. Additionally, I was very concerned about hygiene. When our waiter refilled our water cups, the straws, which had been in our mouths, touched the inside of the water pitcher. This was extremely unsanitary, and I could not continue drinking the water. It also concerned me that our baby had already consumed some of the water that was initially brought out when we were seated. Overall, this was a disappointing experience. We had hoped to enjoy the restaurant and potentially return to try their dry-aged steaks, which are prominently displayed in the front. Unfortunately, given their inability to properly cook a burger, we do not feel confident in returning. If you want a good burger, you would be better off going across the street to Yard House or even Five Guys.

Caesar Salad (there was a ton of dressing hidden underneath)

We've been here a couple times now and we've been impressed! It's a very nice restaurant and there is hardly ever much of a wait to get seated- even with larger groups. This most recent time we had a few mistakes in our order and the staff and management worked very hard to correct it. The Caesar Salad and Chipotle Chicken Alfredo were both excellent. That's what I'll order again!

Lots of seating both at tables and the bar

I have to say this was my first time at a West Texas chophouse, and was not really sure what to expect. The exterior of the building is beautiful in the interior is very nice, clean and modern as well. Went in for lunch on a Wednesday, only saw a few people inside, and we had to flag a waiter down to get us seated. Not sure what that was about. But we got a booth and ordered lunch. He ordered a steak lunch, and I ordered the chicken alfredo. I will say this, the sweet tea was pretty good. They brought out some bread for us to snack on and some honey butter which was a very nice touch. It seemed like it took a while for our food to get here, and when my Alfredo showed up. I could tell it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while as the Alfredo sauce had started to harden on the noodles. Regardless, I Dove in. The flavors were pretty good, and it was a solid lunch for the price you pay Bottom line? Was it the best place I've ever eaten at? No. Was it a decent value for the money? Yeah, I'd say so. I have been told that dinner at this place is really where it's at, so I may have to make the trip back to check that out. If I do decide to go back, I will post a follow-up..

Rene was our server last night and she was amazing. It was our first time there and we were so happy we gave this place a try. SO DELICIOUS! We will definitely be going back. My husband was so happy with his steak, very good quality. Love their menu, plate settings and the whole vibe/ambiance of the restaurant.

Absolutely incredible steakhouse. I'd put it up against some of the more expensive ones in Vegas. The quality of meat is top-notch. We ordered the filet mignon and ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. They were both juicy, tender, and flavorful. The baked potatoes were also delicious. My next order will include the tomahawk steak. Overall, it was a great experience. The prices are fair and the food is incredible. The service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance is comfortable. Not too fancy but also above the diner feel. I'd say it's typical of a texas chophouse. They also offer a 10% military discount which is a huge plus. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're looking for top quality steak.

I went here for dinner and drinks after driving by the place quite a few times and wanting to experience it. This location is on Mall Ring Circle by Galleria. SERVICE: Superb. not only a friendly waitress but very accommodating and fun to talk to. Everything ordered was prompt. FOOD: My ribeye was beautifully grilled. It had bold flavor and i was certainly pleased. I thought the food was well worth it. DRINKS: The drinks here will do the trick quickly. Very flavorful and unique drinks. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. That's not just because the place was near empty. My next visit here will be soon.

Brisket Mac and Cheese

Food: 4/5 Dessert (Bonus): 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 First thing, service, THE BEST. Denise was our server and she did an amazing job, from explaining to how we were supposed to eat the bone marrow (never had it before, don't judge us) to menu recommendations, she was great. Ambiance looks extremely upscale without having the huge price attached. For the food, we got the West Texas Feast, the Brisket Mac and Cheese and the West Texas Burger. We got our West Texas Feast with the medium rare Porterhouse, the grilled chicken breast and the sirloin. I will say, the steaks were well cooked BUT ask for salt, the meat needed it. The chicken was juicy and had a nice char flavor on it, no complaints there. The sides, mashed potatoes and charro beans were good, nothing to write home about, but that corn brûlée?? Perfection. It's like an elote's sweeter cousin, creamy, salty, slightly crunchy because the brûlée topping, delightful. The burger was overcooked and not as great, and pretty basic. The brisket Mac and cheese, brisket was tender and had a bark, the Mac and cheese was nice and creamy, it was well executed. The bone marrow! It made for an interesting experience but I think it would have been better with some kind of bread, maybe? I just don't think tacos were the right form of eating it. That being said, super rich with a hearty, meaty flavor. Alright, lastly, the carrot cake. It was delicious, plain and simple, moist and not too sweet. Cream cheese frosting was fluffy and perfect, just really good. Will go back for more!

Great chophouse. Good steak, large baked potatoes with bacon, cheese and the other usual stuff, but the mac and cheese was the real winner.

No desserts on the menu?! When you pull up menu on the website, it has dinner menu, lunch menu and drinks. Nowhere on that menu online can you find the desserts listed

Yes there are desserts!! There is a carrot cake that is huge and a triple chocolate something or other. They will be adding more but definitely they have desserts.

I hadn't been to this restaurant before but it is stunning and now I really want to come back for a real meal haha. They had a live band playing and I love that their wall opens up to Water Street and is basically a patio. It's gorgeous here. Our servers were great and so nice with us. I was the only one eating but my family all ordered drinks. I got the hot honey chicken sandwich and it was really freaking good. I'm obsessed with hot honey these days and it really hit the spot. It came with fries which were also really good. This restaurant is gorgeous inside and reminds me of something you'd find downtown Vegas. I definitely want to come back again and get a real sit down experience. I'll be back for a date night for sure!

The meat is fantastic, the bun is excellent, but I'm just not a special sauce kind of person. All they need to do to make their burger really awesome is to carry some BBQ sauce. That's it. This entire establishment does not contain any form of BBQ sauce. Don't get me wrong, I am not somebody who would ever put it on a good steak! But burgers, wings, fries, this place offers a number of things that could be elevated by keeping a few bottles of BBQ in the fridge. Just give me the option, you don't even need to list it on the menu. I used to love the beef stroganoff that they had for a while, but I guess it must not have been popular because they got rid of it. It seems that in it's place they started offering a Shepards pie. I was excited about this meal until it arrived and the potatoes were filled with cheese. A Shepards pie does not traditionally have any cheese. So it is probably a good idea for the menu to mention that it is in there. In any case, I tried to order it sans the cheese but I guess it is pre mixed into the mash or something. They cant make it with no cheese. :( Lastly, and most depressingly, they took the shrimp appetizer off of the happy hour menu! This was a real kick-in-the-dick for me. I have probably came to BLVD Grille at least 10 times in the last year specifically because the happy hour $5 shrimp appetizer was so outstanding. I am genuinely depressed that they took it off the happy hour menu. I haven't tried the steaks yet, I want to, but most days, I'm just looking for some shrimp, a side of fries and a drink. I haven't given up on this place yet, but I feel like I'm losing my favorite menu items one by one.

The food is consistently fantastic, and it's clear that there's so much care and heart behind every dish. We've tried several things on the menu -- from the creamy Alfredo pasta to the flavorful New York steak -- and it's all been delicious. But let me tell you... their garlic bread is what dreams are made of. It comes out warm and crusty with garlic, olive oil, parmesan, and spices -- and I honestly think about it all the time. It's that good. Il Chianti is definitely on the finer dining side, so prices reflect the quality -- but it's 100% worth it. We've celebrated birthdays here, and even had our wedding luncheon hosted at the restaurant, and they were amazing to work with: so accommodating, so kind, and just a joy to plan with. (To go/pick-up Order) Ordered four entrees via the app for pick-up (app was great, easy to use,…read moreselect your time, customize/options available for each entree). Everyone enjoyed their entrees, steaks all delicious and juicy. The fresh warm rolls with honey cinnamon butter were so good! The to go order was packaged well and the hot entrees were separated from the salads/dressings/butter cups. The staff member at the window was very friendly and reviewed each entree to ensure no items were missed. While everything really was delicious, a few areas of improvement. These two aren't huge but worth noting for a pick-up order: At checkout I did select to include silverware/utensils, this was missed. The order pick-up time selected and the 5 more minutes stated by the staff member went over, not by a huge margin but enough to notice. It's hot outside waiting for your order that you expected to get at your selected time. Aside from these two small things, my biggest suggestion for improvement is to stop bundling these delicious juicy steaks with the steak fries. Each entree that had fries were soggy from absorbing the juices (even the chicken entree, I think partially from the pico de gallo topping on the chicken maybe, but they fared the best). I would suggest either separating the fries or insulating/separating them in foil. For anyone ordering in the app I wonder if asking for this in the special instructions would work. The steak fries that were not soggy were really good but for the ones that were soggy no one wants that. We will definitely be back, these are just suggestions for improvement for pick-up orders and I hope they are considered, the food here is very delicious overall. When our salads arrived, my Dad had taken a bite, maybe two, and then it got caught in his throat resulting in him choking and ultimately being sick all into his salad bowl. (I need to pause here and be very clear this was NO fault of TXR- we later learned at the hospital that evening that he had a medical issue resulting in muscles not working appropriately for swallowing). It is what happened AFTER this that is earning the 5 stars. We immediately notified the server of the issue, asked to change our order to a 'to-go' order, and took the family and food on the go so that we weren't disrupting any other guests moving forward. At no point was our waitress or any of the staff rude or short- nor did they express frustration with the situation- which I know was definitely not expected. The food was delicious when we finally ate it and my Dad is healing well after a couple days in the hospital to figure out what was going on. The food is ALWAYS good... steaks are great as is the herb crusted chicken. Italian dressing is top notch (wish they would start bottling and selling it!).
