I ordered the steak and chicken combo off Uber Eats. I chose grilled rice (aka fried rice) for one and noodles for the other. My delivery w smooth and nothing spilled lol. The noodles were bad. They were dry and flavorless I basically threw it away. The steak was burnt on one plate as u can tell from the pic. But the non burnt ones were pretty tender. The chicken was also really dry. Nothing special. Also a bit flavorless. U def need the sauce it comes with. The fried rice was not bad but also not great either. It was overall okay. At least it wasn't dry as the noodles. Overall I don't think I would order here again. Nothing stuck out and the flavors were not flavoring for me lol. Idk about ambiance of the place though since I got it delivered.

Nastiest chicken plate! Dry chicken, mushy rice and noodles and 0 flavor or effort put into this!

0 stars. I ordered Volcano Grill on Postmates and this was hands down the most disgusting meal I've ever had. The rice was mushy and tasted old, like it had been sitting around forever. The noodles were just as bad--soft, soggy, and honestly nasty. The chicken was so dry I almost choked trying to eat it. There was literally no seasoning on anything. No flavor, no effort--just bland, poorly made food. And the sauces? Absolutely awful. Weird, off-putting flavors that didn't make any sense and made everything worse. This whole meal went straight in the trash. Total waste of money. What even is this place?

We have ordered here several times on DoorDash! I have been so impressed with their food every time. Their food is always seasoned well. We love their fried rice here. I got a BOGO deal with their premium meat- surf and turf. It was so good! The steak turned out really good and not tough. I think it was angus! I like all their sauce options too. We got chicken katsu this time and that was delish as well!! Service is quick...especially since it's DoorDash. I can't speak for ambiance since we order out.

One of those spur of the moments where you're like " I'm hungry " and " oh look, we've never tried this place before." So we decided to try it. I'm happy to say we enjoyed it. The burgers were surprisingly good and so were the fries. The shrimp cooked perfectly. My son who is the most picky eater you'll ever meet liked the chicken and spring roll. The only thing we didn't care for was the noodles. They were too sweet for my wife and son. We really liked the creativity of the restaurant. There was a mural on the wall which showed some Nintendo themed characters. You wouldn't notice who they were if you weren't a video game fan. Very creative. It doesn't look complete so I'm excited to see what else gets added to it. Service was great. Being first timers there, I appreciated the girl at the register explaining things to us and being patient with us.

I feel like this is a little hidden gem on Eastern and a MUST TRY! The food is incredible, the staff is awesome, the design of the space is neat and very welcoming. My favorite was the yakisoba noodles were addicting and the steak was perfectly tender. We shared a double protein plate and it was plenty of food for us two. Can't wait to come back.

Came expecting it to be a let down but it was honestly pretty good! I got a standard protein plate with chicken breast, grilled rice, Mac salad, and vegetables. The chicken breast was a little firm but seasoned well. I got teriyaki sauce on the side to put over it. The rice was extremely good, and the veggies would have been good if it wasn't mostly zucchini. I wish there was more broccoli. The Mac salad was also good. My partner is Hawaiian and described it as "legit". Everything was seasoned very well. If I had to change anything, it'd be the chicken tasting just a little fresher and less cooked. Their Fuji Yumma sauce is also super tasty. It's a traditional yum yum sauce. Their sauce variety is pretty diverse and almost anyone could find something they like here. While it can be pricey for those wanting a bit more food, I found it to be a solid portion size for $16. I wasn't left hungry. Japanese steakhouses might cost about the same, but Volcano Grille isn't afraid of seasoning their food a little more and I like that.

i ordered through uber eats 2 chicken plates with veggies grilled yakisoba noodles and grilled yakisoba noodles. What arrived was chicken, double rice, and yakisoba noodles -- the vegetables were completely missing, and the meals were not what we ordered. My spouse called the restaurant politely to let them know about the mistake. The woman who answered initially asked how we wanted to handle it, and he simply said he'd be willing to pick up the correct plate another day. At first, it sounded like they were willing to make it right. Then she placed him on hold. When she returned, her tone had completely changed. Suddenly we were told, "You'll have to contact Uber Eats because the couriers are supposed to verify the order." That response made absolutely no sense. Delivery drivers are not opening food containers to inspect whether vegetables were included in the meal. The responsibility for preparing the order correctly falls on the restaurant. What made the experience worse was when we drove there ourselves hoping to resolve it in person. The lady with the pink hair, who confirmed she was the same person we spoke to on the phone, clearly had no interest in correcting the situation or taking accountability. Mistakes happen. Most customers understand that. But what people remember most is how a business responds afterward. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling dismissed rather than valued as customers.

The usual: three protein plate with chicken katsu, spicy chicken breast, and tofu. So much food they don't fit in the plate.

But it was good worth the experience (not the price around $32-34 after adding cheese). Ate it at the bar and service was decent for a slow Thursday around 1 pm. Appts were okay....butternut squash was VERY dry. Not like the last time I had it. I tried to ask for extra maple to moisten it but it did not help at all. Didn't even eat it. The cauliflower was good. Nice mix of sweet and spicy. Fried spinach salad is one of my faves! Melts in your mouth and I'm not even a big salad person. And then we tried the shrimp and artichokes. When it came out it was not what we expected. But it ended up being delicious!! Restaurant is classy. Cute outdoor section on the second floor. Floors are always slippery though. Careful in heels! ** only other complaint on the butternut squash is no one asked if everything was okay since the whole dish sat there. I literally ate one piece. We also spoke to a manager about the great service, which I did mention how dry the butternut squash was during the conversation. Apparently offering a different dish or removing the dish and taking it off the check isn't a thing anymore if food isn't up to standards. Or even firing up a new one. A little disappointed about that, but it is what it is.

The menu has sections that you choose 2-4 items from and share with your table. We tried the Mushroom flatbread, the Pot Roast sandwich, the Beet Salad and the Grilled Oysters. The Grilled Oysters were not a favorite. However, I think that's just personal preference because of the style they are prepared in. We prefer our grilled oysters to be very charred and more of a buttery flavor. These are prepared in an Asian style and and more of a soft grill than a char. Our server very graciously had a second plate served up with more of a grill to the oyster which we appreciated. The rest of the dishes were delicious. We were so full that we passed on dessert, but would definitely be back because the options were inventive and looked so tasty. A doughnut bread pudding, a bourbon brownie; yes to both please!
