I was passing by and wanted to check this place out. Super cute. It was not packed at all, we got seated right away. The server was super nice. And the service was super fast. The food was so good && fresh. I love that they have specials for people that do not do all you can eat. They didn't have a lot of options for sushi rolls without rice. So that was a bummer. But the option they did have was so good. So it was not a big deal. The cheesecake was so bomb omg!!! I was shocked . lol but overall I really enjoyed this place definitely will return.

It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. We waited for a few minutes at the door before being greeted and seated. The food was not as fresh, and the appetizers looked like they were cooked in a microwave. We ordered quite a bit of Nigiri and they were not as fresh as anticipated. The shumai was the type that you get at Trader Joe's and the spring rolls were sad. I ordered shrimp tempura which I never got. They gave me the sauce first and as I ate the rest of our meal, we never got the tempura to accompany the sauce. So strange! Even the mussels looked bland. We were hoping to find a great sushi spot closer to home, but lesson learned. Drive to the spot we always go to, and don't bother trying a new spot because this definitely didn't live up to our expectations.

Truffle sashimi. 5/5 -- great balance between fishiness and truffle-ness.

Sushi is one of my favorite foods, alongside... well. Everything else, if you've been keeping track of my reviews. As such, while I tend to go to my usual spots, I'm also willing to check out and try new places as well. And when I found out that one of my favorite sushi spots near me closed (Sushiwa, if you're wondering), it didn't take long for me to find another one close by! Spicy Tuna is located in the shopping complex on Eastern and Coronado Center, next to Trader Joe's -- in all honesty, I was curious about this place since Trader Joe's is one of my usual grocery stores, but I never really had the opportunity to check this place out until a few days ago. And for the longest time, they were also focusing largely on sushi a la carte, so I didn't really have a reason to check it out until now. All I can say is, I'm shocked that I haven't come in sooner. The AYCE menu for Spicy Tuna is a fairly recent development, as this place used to just focus on A La Carte dishes. I'm glad that they decided to add the option to the menu, though; their AYCE menu has sushi and various types of rolls, but it also has items that I don't see on other menus, such as mushroom and clam miso soup, Hamburg steak, hibachi chicken and beef, bao buns, soft-shell crab dishes of all types, and even snow crab legs! Of course, they still have their A La Carte menu if you're not that hungry, but if you can swing it, go for the AYCE special. With fresh fish, sushi and sashimi you can't find anywhere else, and even appetizers and izakaya-style dishes that you won't find in the usual sushi restaurants, Spicy Tuna really has it all. The restaurant itself is really pretty, too, with festival-style booths and a mix of both painted and manga-styled art around the dining area. Needless to say, I am a convert -- part of me is kind of glad now that Sushiwa closed, because I would not have found out about this place otherwise. I can't wait to return and tackle the rest of the menu!

Stopped into Spicy Tuna tonight for Valentines Day dinner. Full disclosure, we only came because Sushiwa is apparently no longer in business. So we did a pivot and went here after finding their doors locked. Spicy Tuna was busy so we sat at the bar area so we wouldn't have to wait. There was a lot of staff working and we ordered with a waitress even though we were sitting at the sushi bar. Somewhat unconventional, but that's how they do it. First order was a bowl of edamame, it arrived rather quickly, and it was very overdone and mushy. Not a great start to the meal, but whatever, I didn't come for edamame, I came for sushi. We ordered a lot of rolls and also some tuna, salmon and yellowtail sushi. The sushi was good, the rolls were also good, but nothing knocked my socks off here. We've been to Kaizen, we've been to Hiroba, we've been to I love sushi, and we've always chosen SushiWa as our go to spot. While the food here was good, the staff wasn't exceptional and there were actually some missed orders that never came (rainbow roll, Ashley roll). We ordered desert and waited about 20 minutes and it never came. Then they brought the check and we told them "we never got our desert order." They seemed shocked by this. Then we waited probably another 15 minutes before it finally came out. So that aspect wasn't great. Overall, it's a good sushi place, they do all you can eat and the flavors are pretty good. Like I said, it wasn't great, and I think there is better in the area to be honest. They have great instagram posts, and I had high hopes, but for me, it missed the mark.

My friends went for the all you can eat sushi $37 on weekends . I'm not a sushi fan but there are some other options to choose from . I went with the Japanese curry with veggies. It was very flavor and delicious. The service was good but a little slow .

I was really looking forward to trying this sushi spot, but unfortunately my experience wasn't great. The food didn't taste as fresh as I expected, and shortly after eating there I became very sick. I'm almost positive it was the sushi. It did taste super fishy which I have never had that issue anywhere else I've gotten sushi but I didn't really think about it until I got sick that, that meant it wasn't fresh :/ The staff were polite, but the overall quality and safety of the meal missed the mark for me. I hope the restaurant takes a closer look at their food handling and freshness, because this could have been a much better visit.

Spicy Tuna is right next door to Trader Joe's. Since we are shopping it was great to grab a few rolls and a drink! First time for us here and it's an AYCE sushi for $35 per person. Also, any sake, beer, wine, or spirit is buy 1 get 1 free how cool is that! It's a pretty big place and pretty clean with a subtle Japanese decor vibe. Loved the service we got, and I can only imagine the pace this restaurant must operate at during the week at lunch time. For the food, the salmon skin salad was great! The gyoza was decent and the baked green mussels were as well. The kiss of fire roll was just that, a very spicy roll and my body will pay me back for that one. The Japanese Lasagna was pretty good as its crab, avocado, cream cheese, mayo and eel sauce. We finished with some miso clam soup which was truly delicious. Only negative was that the sushi bar seats were not available to customers when we visited. Great price point to do damage to your waistline and not your wallet.

Really easy parking. Very cute inside- love the Christmas tree! Service is very efficient. Restrooms are clean. TVs are nice- a few on diff channels. Food is really good quality. I worked in a sushi bar in nor cal for over 8 yrs and this place is legit. Wish they'd have more fried vegetarian rolls! Would recommend!

We came here for all you can eat sushi. It was really good! And the service was friendly, and the sushi came out so quick. We ordered salmon and yellowtail nigiri, edamame, miso soup, a rainbow roll, a tiger roll, and we ordered two other rolls, I can't remember the names of them. We didn't get pictures because we were so hungry! All the sushi was really good and for all you can eat the price was amazing.

Customer service was on point from start to finish, and every dish came out fresh and hot. We ordered a variety of items off the menu and were honestly impressed across the board. The gyoza ($6) was perfectly pan-fried with a great crispy bottom, and the filling was packed with flavor. The dipping sauce had just the right hint of spice to bring it all together. The takoyaki ($6) were hands down some of the best we've had at any restaurant. Super crispy on the outside, and when you bite in, the inside just melts and oozes out, so good and full of flavor. The squid leg karaage ($10) was a great starter. Squeezing fresh lemon over it and dipping it in the mayo and spicy sauce combo made it even better. Definitely recommend this one. We were especially excited about the soft shell crab ($9) since it's hard to find it served on its own. It did not disappoint... perfect crunch, great flavor, and the dipping sauce really elevated it. The tonkatsu curry ($13) was a standout. The jasmine rice was cooked perfectly, the curry had rich flavor with tender carrots throughout, and the katsu was fried to perfection... crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Easily a 10/10 dish. The curry udon ($9) is perfect if you're craving something comforting...just curry and noodles done right. The udon ($8) had a flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles, simple but executed really well. The crazy dragon roll ($13) was definitely a highlight. The amount of eel on top was impressive, and the roll itself was a great size. Everything from the rice to the flavor balance was spot on. Every dish that came out had us smiling, we genuinely enjoyed everything we tried. Highly recommend this spot, and we'll definitely be back again soon!

The deep-fried shrimp and tuna were fried perfectly with a nice crisp texture. If it wasn't so late, I probably would've kept ordering more. But the real star? The Otoro (bluefin tuna belly) sashimi. My wife isn't usually a sushi person, but she ended up loving it and ate way more than I expected. That alone should tell you something. We were super disappointed and ended up just getting skewers. Itzakaya Tora, you definitely need to step up your game and have better management in the future for these big events. I don't think they are that new of a restaurant, but they definitely let me down. Chicken and pork skewers ($2 per skewer, 7/10) - super juicy! You can definitely taste the charcoal and barbecue flavor. They do a great job of keeping each skewer, moist and juicy, that I didn't feel like I was eating burnt skewers like you get at some other restaurants. - $2 per skewer is pretty good for the happy hour deal, but I think it's much more expensive during the regular menu option. Don't think it would be particularly worth it with their regular menu. Overall, super disappointed that they didn't have any more of their sushi, rice and best do not have any $5 hand rolls during their happy hour. The highlights were definitely the karaage, which were so crispy and impossibly juicy at the same time, the pork belly, which had an incredible salty flavor with the perfect crispiness, a wagyu skewer, and the sashimi. Oh my god, I've never had softer fish in my life. It was hard to believe that this quality of fish could be had in Las Vegas. But seriously, every single thing we ate was incredible. My friends and I were positively flooded that each new thing we ordered was just as delicious as the last thing we ordered. The only thing I remembered to take a photo of was the honey toast, which was also fantastic. Our server, Marc, was only on his third day. But he was fun and full of personality, and had an insane amount of great recommendations. He almost told us what to order for our entire meal, and he knocked it out of the park. We sat at the bar, only one other couple there, and maybe 2 other customers in booths. The owner snapped at the person who sat us we weren't sure why and felt maybe we weren't supposed to be seated at the bar. We were greeted by a young server very nice, smiling, welcoming. I ordered a Orion beer, wife had a green tea. Wife ordered some plates. They came quickly. My wife was so excited to try this restaurant, so she ordered and I ate. Everything was incredible. The sashimi , sushi, all melted in your mouth. So many different flavors with each plate. Not over powering sauces which most places do to hide the low quality of fish. Not here each piece was a culinary deliciousness of flavor. The rolls are not typical all rice little filling. The rice enhanced the filling. No need to use soy sauce! The ginger they supply was so fresh we had 4 servings of it. The restaurant is a 50s style diner, but it doesn't matter what the place looked like with this incredible food. We've NEVER had sushi like this. It's expensive, but you are paying for Japan quality sushi. With all the sushi spots and AYCE places I see why it was so slow. I asked if it gets busy, and was given a few jokingly sarcastic answers from I think owner, which was ok cause I joked back and he got it. If you want the experience of going to a master sushi chef restaurant in Japan, go to Tokyo Boys. You'll pay for a great experience. We hope when we come back to Henderson to return!

I came on a weekday night and it wasn't too crowded. Parking was easy find. We were greeted nicely…read moreby the servers. However when asked about certain menu items they weren't that knowledgeable. The inside looked like a diner which was a cute theme. Food overall was pretty pricey and tasted okay. I forgot the name of the roll we ordered but that was rly good. It had a good freshness to it. 8.5/10 Beef udon 6/10: the broth was too sweet for my taste but it had a good amount of meat in there to make me satisfied Tempura udon 7/10: it def had a lighter taste than the beef udon. The noodles were nicely cooked and the tempura also had a nice crunch Green tea fried ice cream 10/10! Def the best part of the meal. It was warm on the outside and cold on the inside. I love places that have this as an option. Overall the food was pricey and tasted okay for the price. The service can be a bit better in terms of understanding the menu item or what the "special of the day" is. The place has a nice vibe where you can chat with friends.

I don't do AYCE sushi places often but this place was great! I think it's 30.99 per person. We were…read moreseated quickly at 5pm on a Saturday. The service was good! They were attentive, cleared plates and took our orders frequently. I really enjoyed the salmon and yellowtail nigiri which are my go-tos. Their dynamite side was also different from anything I've tried before and I really liked it. It was light and had great flavor. The cucumber salad was a little too sweet and premade so they couldn't adjust it but other than that we enjoyed ourselves and were completely stuffed by the end. There's a nice park nearby so you can walk it off after.

Our waitress brought our first order and then went to attend to the other tables, which is completely understandable. However, after that, she never came back to check on us. We waited over 30 minutes just for her to approach our table to see if we wanted to order anything else or needed refills. During that time, she was very attentive to the other tables around us, but unfortunately not to ours. It was disappointing because the food itself wasn't bad, but the service really affected our overall experience. I hope they can work on being more consistent with checking on all tables, because we truly wanted to enjoy this place
