Wow was at the barber next door so I thought I would try out this spot. Omg glad I did i did the 007 and shrimp crunch roll. Definitely coming back

Irish roll, spicy scallop roll, fresh wasabi, plum wine

I came to leave a review and was shocked at the rating. The sushi was so good, prices were decent! Service was great. There is no AYCE but I almost never get that anyway cause I can't eat that much. I can't lie the spicy scallop roll was just as delicious as the Irish roll I got and 1/2 the price ‍. If I had any complaint it would be that the fresh wasabi was not spicy at all (the other wasabi was not really either). But the plum wine was only $6 and miso soup $2.50. Also, the atmosphere is nice as well! And the presentation of the rolls was fun and classy . I will be back (glad I didn't look at reviews before I came )

Such a cute lunch spot! Seated right away, such a friendly and prompt waiter, very polite. The food was served quickly and correctly. Everything was bright and colorful. We loved the variety of the menu. Anything with garlic ponzu sauce is delicious. Such a gem to find in Henderson.

Bottom line - "The Sushi" is not bad, but it's not the greatest either. This is not an AYCE establishment, so everything is served à la carte. Continue reading for an in-depth review of my first experience: "The Sushi" is located in Henderson. The signage that faces the back needs revamping as it looks old. The interior of the restaurant seems odd, as it had some pinecone and vine thing going on that reminded me of Christmas, and it's almost summertime now. The table we were seated at was rather small. The bathroom didn't seem dirty, but the decor was tacky. We had a younger gentleman take our order for drinks and the slip where we penciled in what food we wanted. I asked for water with lemon, and the piece of lemon I had in my cup was so tiny and thin. I couldn't even taste the lemon in my water.. but I just let it be. My partner ordered a Newport Beach sashimi platter, which comes with soup and salad of THEIR choice (we weren't asked what kind of soup or salad we wanted). The salad appeared to be prepackaged and came in a small bowl with two sliced cucumbers and a thick, white dressing. My partner said it was just okay. I had the soup, which was miso. It was mediocre. All of the sashimi was cut super thick. I tried one piece of salmon, and it lacked flavor. The texture of the salmon was hard as well, and it didn't have that delicate texture and flavor that I'm used to when enjoying sashimi. There was no "melt in your mouth" sensation from this at all, which is very disappointing because salmon is my go-to. We also got an order of the Eel Roll, Salmon Lover Roll, Spider Roll, and "The Sushi" roll. The eel roll was okay. "The Sushi" roll (which I assume is their signature roll due to the name) was actually prepared nicely. This roll was made of spicy tuna, cucumber, fresh tuna, and spicy garlic ponzu sauce. Simple, yet delicious. I appreciate that it was rolled tightly and was easy to eat. The Salmon Lover Roll was overpowered by the sauce. I was, once again, disappointed by the lack of flavor of the salmon. This roll was difficult to eat as the rolls were falling apart and not rolled tightly. The Spider Roll was good. There was an abundance of crab, but the soft shell crab was minimal. I really liked the taste of the soft shell crab, though. The rolls on this one were also falling apart and not rolled tightly. Our waiter didn't bring us our food but another lady did. The only time we saw our waiter again was to bring us the check. Food came out to over $90 (not including tip). One observation I had was that when our water was tending to another table, someone asked about a sauce on one of the sushi rolls. The waiter just walked away without saying anything to ask the chef. I think it's important to be knowledgeable about the menu, but maybe he was new? Anyways, I'm on the fence if I want to give this place another chance. This is definitely not the best sushi I've had. I think three stars is being generous. If I have the choice, I would rather go a further distance for something far more flavorful and fresh. I hope "The Sushi" makes improvements.

I stopped in around late lunch time and the place was quiet. Service was fast and thw food was good. Lovely sushi house in a small strip mall just off the freeway. Interior is clean, nice enough for date night and customer service was excellent. A good selection of sake and Sony as well! I ordered Tako, white tuna, uni, and tuna. The uni wasn't as fresh as I would have liked and it was the last order they had available. The white tuna was delicious as was the Tako. I would like to see what this place is like at dinner rush, so I plan on swinging by again in a few weeks. Ambiance: casual-date night Cleanliness: very clean Customer service: excellent

The owner is extremely smart for opening this location deep in Henderson. Being the only sushi location on that side of town makes for good business!! The Downside... it is NOT AYCE With that said the fish quality was good. The rice to fish ratio was perfect and no complaints about the rice itself! It is kid friendly!! My son loved his chicken fried rice and to be honest it's adult portion! There were many rolls to choose from my friend wasn't too impressed by the place but like I said for being in Henderson this place is awesome! It'll probably lose business once an AYCE sushi spot opens tho.

Salmon, cucumber, dragon roll. Lot of crab salad, but also a lot of fish. Flavor was delicious.

Four stars because theres nothing wrong with this place, but it's not my favorite because of my own specific preferences. They have a good fish to rice ratio. The rolls are delicious but in a town, where half of the sushi restaurants are AYCE, I will say that you will pay twice as much or more for half the quantity you might get at an all you can eat place. The rolls are great, but not so spectacular that i can justify the price. I think that the crab salad filling was a little bit overstuffed inside the rolls, but some people like that. My order was Dragon, cucumber and salmon roll for $42 before tip. It wasn't busy, but service was fast and friendly.

Great find in Henderson. Let's start with cleanliness, our table and all common areas were very clean and the ambiance fit the the theme of the restaurant. The prices are more than fair. My wife ordered the sushimi salad (the portion size provided her two meals). At $13.95 with the amount of sushimi this salad would be double the price on The Strip. Our server was great. I was torn between the teriyaki chicken and tempura. I decided on teriyaki chicken, but she guided me to the dinner boxes explaining I could have both chicken teriyaki and tempura. With a bowl of spot on miso, 1/2 c rice, 2 gyoza 4 oz of teriyaki and a salad for $13.95

I ordered a Orion beer, wife had a green tea. Wife ordered some plates. They came quickly. My wife was so excited to try this restaurant, so she ordered and I ate. Everything was incredible. The sashimi , sushi, all melted in your mouth. So many different flavors with each plate. Not over powering sauces which most places do to hide the low quality of fish. Not here each piece was a culinary deliciousness of flavor. The rolls are not typical all rice little filling. The rice enhanced the filling. No need to use soy sauce! The ginger they supply was so fresh we had 4 servings of it. The restaurant is a 50s style diner, but it doesn't matter what the place looked like with this incredible food. We've NEVER had sushi like this. It's expensive, but you are paying for Japan quality sushi. With all the sushi spots and AYCE places I see why it was so slow. I asked if it gets busy, and was given a few jokingly sarcastic answers from I think owner, which was ok cause I joked back and he got it. If you want the experience of going to a master sushi chef restaurant in Japan, go to Tokyo Boys. You'll pay for a great experience. We hope when we come back to Henderson to return!

The noodles were nicely cooked and the tempura also had a nice crunch Green tea fried ice cream 10/10! Def the best part of the meal. It was warm on the outside and cold on the inside. Fifteen years later and I still love this place!…read more I've been dining at I Love Sushi for over 15 years, and it truly never disappoints. It's one of those restaurants that has become a tradition for our family, and every time we visit we're reminded why it's always packed. There has been a recent change in ownership, and they now offer an all-you-can-eat menu. I'll admit I was hesitant at first because sometimes AYCE sushi can mean sacrificing quality. Thankfully that is not the case here at all. The quality is just as good as it's always been. We started with the garlic edamame, which is always a great way to kick things off. From there we ordered steamed gyoza, yellowtail, yuzu salmon sushi, and then took advantage of one of the best parts of the all-you-can-eat menu... you can order half rolls. This makes it so easy to try a variety of different rolls without committing to full ones. That said, the one roll I will never order as a half is the Flower Roll. It's been my favorite here for years and is an absolute must every time we visit. Our waitress also recommended trying the Irish Roll, which was new to us and ended up being excellent. We'll definitely be ordering that again. We also tried a half Candy Cane Roll, which was another great option. One of the reasons we keep coming back, beyond the food, is the service. Because we've been coming here for so long, the staff recognizes us and they are always incredibly kind and welcoming. It really adds to the experience. This restaurant is almost always packed, and there's a very good reason for that. The food is consistently great and the atmosphere is lively and welcoming. A couple other menu items worth mentioning: The Joe Special is fantastic (even though we didn't order it this visit), and my daughter always loves the Niku Udon noodles. After 15+ years, I Love Sushi is still a five-star experience for us, and it's a place we always look forward to visiting with family and friends.
