We love sushi hiro! The food was so good! The omakase, sushi boat and rolls were so fresh! Can't wait to go back!

We ordered a variety of dishes and overall had a really solid experience at Sushi Hiro, with a few clear standouts. * Hirame with Truffle Oil - A must-try. The truffle slices were subtle and not overpowering, complementing the fresh hirame beautifully. The sauce tied everything together and enhanced the natural sweetness of the fish. * Organic Aged Tofu (Hot) - This wasn't silky like typical tofu. Instead, it was drenched in a thick, gelatin-like sauce that added richness and flavor. The tofu itself was fresh and unique, but if you're not a fan of agedashi-style tofu, this one can be skipped. The hirame definitely outshined it. * Crunch Toro Special Roll - Fatty and flavorful thanks to the toro, but the added avocado made it a bit too rich. Without the avocado, this roll would've been perfectly balanced. * Japan Series Roll - My second favorite of the night. The soft-shell crab inside added great texture and flavor, making the roll especially enjoyable. * Popcorn Scallops Roll - One of my absolute favorites. The scallops were perfectly crunchy, and the roll was so flavorful it didn't need any extra sauce. * Tuna Special Roll - My husband ordered this, and it was very generous with the tuna. Fresh, satisfying, and great for tuna lovers. Service was good and attentive. Ambience was decent, though for the price point.

We had a low-key anniversary dinner at Sushi Hiro on a Friday night. Sushi Hiro is not to be confused with Sushi Hero on Eastern and St. Rose, which is just up the street. Reservations are recommended, call the restaurant directly to make yours. The place is small and it was a little busy, but we didn't have to wait too long for a table. Once we sat down, we were given some very refreshing hot towels. This was a new thing for me in a sushi restaurant and I really liked that! I looked over the drink menu and wanted a nice glass of wine for myself, where I got a Chardonnay called a Drop of Sunshine from California. Kyle got himself a rice lager beer, which he really enjoyed. We shared an appetizer of fried calamari which was served with either ranch or tartar sauce on the side. Calamari is one of my favorite appetizers to have whenever available and this was a really good dish. For our sushi choices, I had the Rainbow Roll and Kyle had the Wagyu Roll. The Wagyu Roll includes a piece of beef inside the sushi roll, which was also new to us. I considered having two different rolls, but I got lucky only choosing one this time because there were a lot on my plate. The Wagyu Roll took some time to come out after my Rainbow Roll to come out, mostly because of the beef inside of it. The Rainbow Roll was absolutely amazing! I've had a bunch of tasty sushi rolls in my life, but I really liked this one. Kyle said that he really enjoyed his Wagyu Roll and also said that he wants to have this again next time we come back here. We really liked Sushi Hiro. Lots of great sushi options and excellent service.

Sushi Hiro offers the best sushi experience in Henderson. We ordered the sushi omakase and tuna samplers. The omakase meal was served with all the high quality premium exotic fish. Then tuna has the best toro pieces that melt in your mouth. Love this place!

Came here yesterday evening for my anniversary. My boyfriend and I love this place but we have never tried the Omakase here before, so we thought it would be a great time to try it for the occasion! We got the Hiro Omakase and honestly it was so worth it! I was so stuffed by the end of the meal that we ended up taking the Matcha Crepe Cake to go. To begin with, they gave us some special types of wasabi. You can definitely tell the difference compared to other wasabi! It felt very smooth and rich. Then we received the tofu dish and it was so full of flavor. The tofu had such a nice texture. One of my favorite things from the Omakase was thr Blackcod. My goodness. It was cooked perfectly well and was so soft, it melted in our mouths. The otoro and chutoro in the nigiri and sashimi was also so delicious. For the end of the savory course, they end things with the A5 Wagyu where you cook it on top of a stone. We had such a pleasant experience. I loved how attentive the servers were. They were watching us the entire time making sure the courses weren't coming too early or too slowly. Thank you Sushi Hiro for the lovely meal!

Perfect place for a quick sushi date! Japanese owned and operated. We ordered the Sushi Deluxe dinner (10pc nigiri + tuna roll), catch of the day (5pc nigiri), toro tartar crispy rice, (and a couple other items I can't remember). Everything came out quickly and well-presented. Total was less than $250 including the tip. This was too much food for us two girls to finish, so the total could've been cheaper but we ordered with our empty stomachs and hungry minds! Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Sushi Hiro is your dependable neighborhood sushi spot--serving consistently fresh a la carte sushi with solid service, clean ambiance, and a welcoming atmosphere. We visited for the lunch special around 1pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was about half full, calm Japanese music playing, and we were seated quickly. Clean, quiet, and casual--great for a laid-back sushi fix. The Chirashi Bowl was a highlight: generous variety of fresh sashimi, sliced thick, with tender cuts that almost melt with each bite. The rice was subtly seasoned with mirin and salt--balanced and not overpowering. We also had the American Dream roll, which came out in a very generous portion. The rice was perfectly packed--enough structure to hold together without being dense. Ingredients were fresh, and importantly, the shrimp tempura stayed crisp--no soggy bites. They also went light on the sauce, which allowed the core flavors to shine without being drowned in sweetness. Lastly, we tried a chicken teriyaki bento--this was the only miss. The chicken was a bit tough and lacked depth in flavor. Not bad, just unremarkable, especially compared to how well they executed the sushi.

Wow wow wow! This is literally a hidden gem. I am so glad I found this place. Amazing service from the moment I walked in and the moment I walked out. I came alone after some shopping and wanted to have dinner before coming home. The hostess offered me a warm, damp towel (called an oshibori). It's meant for cleaning your hands before eating and adds a small touch of traditional Japanese hospitality, helping create a welcoming and refreshing start to the dining experience. I started off with a hot green tea and water with lemon. Seaweed salad was perfectly portioned and refreshing. The freshwater eel was out of this world. Sooo flavorful and absolutely satisfying! I ordered a Spider Roll and it was huuuge! The roll was also very delicious. I was running out of room so I didn't get any other rolls (Supersonic roll would have been my next choice). Waitress talked me into dessert so I got the green tea tempura ice cream, which was a nice touch to end my meal. I am just so impressed with this place. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back!

A truly authentic Japanese sushi restaurant . Incredibly fresh fish prepared to perfection by master chef's. See each picture for rating. Service was impecable we needed of nothing. They were constantly at the table. The inside of it is very nicely decorated . Each booth has a sense of privacy. The sushi bar is very well put together. Over all a 5/5 experience

Hidden in a plaza on Eastern is this fine sushi restaurant that houses a handful of booths separated by traditional Japanese cloth. I appreciated the kind service. The prices are elevated and we tried a few rolls which tasted great

    Shrimp tempura appetizer

Stopped on a Sunday to get some lunch to go at Sushi Hiro. I used to frequent this restaurant a while ago, but prices had increased and eventually I went to other restaurants closer to home. Fast forward a few years and I thought I would try them out again. The restaurant is still clean and the staff is still nice. The online prices are not correct and the menu was more expensive. It's actually the most expensive sushi place off strip that I've seen in some time. The portion sizes are normal, and the quality isn't any better than competitors throughout Henderson. 2 piece shrimp tempura appetizer for $12.00. The Tempura Udon is also considerably more expensive than competitors in the area - and it's not any better. Maguro sushi was $12.00 for two pieces. It's their prerogative to set prices where they want. Costs in general have increased for many things - but there are other places with the same quality for much cheaper.

Do they only have farmed fish?

Not all is farmed, some even comes from Japan - I asked for each item we ordered!!

Do you have to call the restaurant for reservations or can I make them online?

I'm not sure online but you can call and make reservations specially on the weekends does get crowded.

    Do they still serve chawanmushi?

    Yes. We do

I didn't see vegan options. What vegan rolls do they have?

There are no vegan rolls or vegan nigiri. Sorry....I got the veggie tempura which was better than average. The vegan sushi place a couple of blocks away is excellent though.

I'm having a hard time finding a place with ikuradon and/or uni&ikura don. If I request it could you guys make it? And if so how much would it be?

I'm sure they will make this for you. They will accommodate your request. I don't know the price.

    Do you still have Omakase?

Yes they do! They got the best omakase !

    All you can eat?

Not AYCE but some of the best sushi in town. For AYCE head up Eastern to Sushi Wa.

Can you bring your own wine and sake? If so, what is corkage fee?

Yes. But we charge $15 for fee. Thank you.

Do they have some good roll options without rice?

We can wrap with cucumber if you like.

Do we need a reservation for Omakase?

It's recommended However, you don't need it. I recommend reservation on weekends.

Do they still serve the omakase here? last menu photo update was a year ago. thanks!!

Yes, they do! 3 different Omakase course to choose from. Plum, Bamboo and Pine. I believe $69, $89, and $109.

    How much is ayce here?

there isn't. it is a regular menu with incredible daily specials, omakase options and seasonal cuts of fish.... all you can eat wouldn't work here, its on a different level.

Chef Shuji runs the restaurant with his wife next to him in the kitchen. The fish here is flown in from Japan and of the highest quality as you can see from the sheen and fat marbling. You don't need to go to the Strip for Ari yeah!…read more Ari Sushi & Izakaya is a very well-Yelped restaurant in the southwest. I've particularly seen buddies post about it on Instagram a lot, and I finally made my way out there since I found that it aligned with my mom's food craving. I went for the Ari Ari Combo ($29.00). It started with a little bowl of balanced miso soup and a tiny side salad with fresh greens and a simple sesame dressing, and was followed by six thin but delicious sashimi slices and four basic but also solid-quality nigiri. I would be more than happy to come back try to more of their raw fish any time. If that doesn't sound like enough for lunch, I did share other food items. The Garlic Edamame ($7.00) felt a little less salted than I expected but was a good portion and had plenty of both a garlic sauce and crispy garlic slivers. I also helped out with a Bento with 3 items ($25.00): bulgogi, mixed tempura, and spicy tuna roll. The bulgogi was tender but not strongly marinated enough and the spicy tuna roll felt pretty standard, but I did really enjoy the shrimp tempura and the veggie tempura pieces which I tried. They were super hot and crispy while being cooked perfectly inside, and the sauce was perfect. The music was relaxing and not played at a very high volume. The restaurant is a little more dim than I'd like and could benefit from overhead narrow-angle lights, but maybe the food was just that good that the lighting wasn't so important. The server was happy to refill my complimentary water with lemon as often as needed, as well as to add more water to the Hot Green Tea ($4.00). I did try some of the tea, and it was potent and low in bitterness. I'm pleased to report that Ari Sushi really does offer delicious sushi, enough so that I'll probably have to make more trips from Henderson to try more of their menu. If you want high quality mid-price-range sushi that's not in an all you can eat format, this is a great place to look.

Perhaps they just know "how to eat," as in GLUTTONY and stuffing themselves with bad food. I came here based on a sole recommendation and the 1K+ positive Google reviews. I apologize in advance for being brutally frank as I am certain to insult many people, namely the 1000+ positive Google reviews. I suppose my palate is just at a different level. I do not go to AYCE sushi for a reason, except for one establishment on W. Sahara/S. Tomsik where the quality IS in fact day & night compared to "Top Sushi." From the start I ordered shrimp tempura just to see what type of batter they use and the size of the shrimp. Batter was soggy and no crunch. The shrimp was size 31/40 vs 11/12 like at my only AYCE go-to. Beyond that, the shrimp was pasty. The Korean fried chicken was good; no complaints. The mini udon had good hearty noodles but the broth was warm at best, not hot. Their salad is pure Iceberg, so it's useless with zero nutrition or taste. My other place uses only high quality mixed greens with Romaine. I can hear what you're saying, "Why order these items at an AYCE sushi restaurant?" Because it shows the integrity of an establishment putting items on the menu that pass as filler. The salmon collar was doused in oil and sauce to hide its badly pre-frozen state. This place touts themselves as having the best fish-to-rice ratio. Of course, because the quality of the fish is sooo poor, it doesn't matter. A true sushi is a 1:1 or more generously a 1.25:1 ratio of fish:rice. Any less rice is not sushi! Why fake it?!?! Just order sashimi and a side bowl of rice if you're looking for a lot of fish and a speck of rice! The proper proportions are 12-18 grams of fish to 10-12 grams of rice; that is real sushi! If your entire tray of nigiri is swimming in sauce, you're hiding the frozen fish. My go-to place has IQF fish relatively fresh that there is practically NO sauce! If you want non-frozen, go to an ala carte sushi place not AYCE. Quality fish does not need to hide behind all that muck! If you're the type of sushi eater that just gorges themselves with rolls, then this is the place for you. If you're a true sushi lover meaning nigiri with quality rice or sashimi, DO NOT even attempt coming here! The unagi had a "muddy odor" which is a sign of freezer burn. The hokkigai was so rubbery and 61-70 rather than what should be 51-60 size. The Saba was pure salt! It's supposed to be briny with the influence of the ocean not a salt bed! The mango salmon was unique and flavorful if you want to taste only mango and not the salmon. Seared Escolar was honest. Most sushi places call it "super white tuna" or "white maguro" which is BS! I give Top Sushi that. They do not hide the fact that it is Escolar. Moreover, I counted the word "imitation" 26 times on their menu!! Why would you like to eat "imitation" anyway?!? The salmon skin roll was so chewy I thought I was eating a fishy beef jerky. There are more bad examples but I need to restrain myself. When I looked around at the guests, not a single person looked like they even knew that sushi rice is a specific quality like Tamanishiki, Tamaki Gold, a more affordable Kagayagi (used at better quality AYCE venues) or at the very least Kokuho Rose, nor do they know that it is cooked with Mirin. These are the McDonald's and Denny's crowd. Let's talk about the service. It is a cattle call!! Be prepared to have no conversation, not even a "Hello" with your host/hostess. Just follow her, sit and shut up. When the servers drop off the food, you feel like you're encroaching on their lives. They are miserably unhappy. I made a concerted effort to make eye contact with every server who walked by and smiled at them to draw a response. Not ONE acknowledged me with a smile back or any sign of humanity. In fact, they just looked away and went about their business. Zero engagement; Top is the epitome of a turn-&-burn operation. Let's just make money because these guest do not know any better. The ONE server I noticed was very pleasant serving her guests with enthusiasm. She was the anomaly. The worst part is charging $35 for pure garbage. That's the normal rate for AYCE even at my go-to, but for this quality, $25 at best just for people who do not have discriminating palates and simply want to stuff themselves! In the end, I still gave an industry gratuity out of principle. It's not the staff's fault they work in a mediocre establishment. I tipped 30% nevertheless albeit I will NEVER come back. By the way, the mango mochi and Sapporo were excellent!

i was about to hit another noodle then i decided to drive along spring mountain and randomly go…read moreinto a strip mall and pick one... i chose this place as I wanted to eat some rice and check out a sushi boat place after watching daesung (big bang) ate at one of these in japan. well, this was totally different from japan one i saw on youtube. first thing i notice is that this place was packed. 2nd thing i notice is that alot of the tables are all eating noodles... that was intriguing... examining the menu, the ramens are 7 buck.. and the sushi rolls are 10 bucks... watching all the nigiri on the conveyor, i notice there isnt any premium stuff. it was all one price... no toro, no wagyu beef. no uni.... i was thinking if i want nigiri, i should not be here since I can get ayce for like $30 bucks and eat better stuff so i pick a ramen, a roll, one salmon belly nigiri, and a beer... i like the ramen, its kid size... essentially like a cup a noodle.. very good though. the roll was good, a little bit skinnier than typical. still good... i had to get one nigiri from the conveyor, the salmon belly was the best one, 3.50 cheap... the draft beer i actually down it quick.. it was nice on a hot day in vegas... total was 31 with tip.... i think if i didnt do beer, it be like 23 + tip which is same cost as going to a ramen place... funny, im trying to optimize the food cost.. just that there is so many ayce sushi spots like literally every block on spring mountain... just make no sense to do nigiri here... unless u only eat like 3-5 plates... if u going more, forget about it, do the ayce...
