If you've been to Pittsburgh or Primanti's, you know this style of sandwich - thick Italian bread, vinegar based slaw, fresh tomatoes, and hot fries are stuffed right inside the sandwich alongside your meat, cheese, and sauces. Biggie's just opened on Stephanie, near the Galleria Mall - AKA super far for me but made it by when I had a work training in the area. Location is clean, service is friendly, menu is almost as huge as their sandwiches. I got the Philly, a preset combo with shaved steak, grilled peppers and onions, and the aforementioned standout toppings. I subbed out the mayo for their horsey sauce for a little kick and they were great about accommodating. You can customize your order and get the slaw and fries on the side if you like, "naked style." Sandwich is massive, half was easily a filling lunch for me - took home the second half for my husband's dinner. We both enjoyed this, great flavor combo and the horseradish wasn't overpowering. Owner Joe was on site and excited to talk about the business - hoping they do well enough to get a location closer to me! TIP: Join their loyalty club when you order for discounts and promos. It might be no biggie elsewhere, but I'll take what I can get in Henderson. BIGGIES Sandwiches is a new sandwich shop that's been open for about a month. It's in a sprawling Stephanie plaza behind Meraki and Dutch Bros, and it's open 10 until 10 so that's easy to remember and also convenient to partake in. Although you can customize the sandwiches easily here, we went to the preset combos, aka Big Biggies. They are actually a little bit of a better value if you add up the individual topping costs, and they're restaurant-approved presumably. I went with the Dippity Doo ($17.50), which comes with steak, grilled onion, provolone, and horsey sauce. The fillings are really great, especially with the steak being cooked with more care than any "Philly" spot I've tried around here. They also tend to spill out. I tasted the creamy horseradish strongly when I dipped one of the fries (also part of the filling) into it, but it blended well and didn't overpower the steak, the slaw, or the caramelized onions. I needed fork assistance after a few bites. I also tried some of my friends' sandwiches' fillings. The "Ruebenator" ($17.50) was superior, with delicious corned beef, Swiss, and Russian dressing carrying the day and really putting the Togo's version to shame. The Havana Heaven ($17.50), their take on a Cuban, didn't quite impress as much. I've had better Cubans in Henderson, one of which is from a business that hasn't called it quits yet. Biggies is clean, has decent music, and offers both Coca-Cola and the nearby tea unit (which also means complimentary cups of water). The thick bread actually came in a proper ratio to the fillings, but the sandwich construction resulted in such a mess that I wonder if using something closer to a sub roll kinda bread would have helped with that issue. At least I don't have to go to Pittsburgh anymore for fries inside sandwiches. Come to Biggies if you're in Henderson and want a semi-sloppy but hearty and tasty sandwich. I actually do wanna come back and try more of their sammies. read more

And i mean ...massive. each one has a cute theme name and packed with fresh ingredients, lots of meat, made to order. And each sandwich has its own label so nothing gets confused. I am absolutely OBSESSED with this sandwich shop. Joe (the owner) was so cool & I loved hearing the story of his journey and all the experience he has in food service. He took the time to explain the menu to everyone who came in. The sandwiches are great portions and a REAL Turkey sandwich was what my life had been missing . First time. Did a build your own. Polish sausage with provolone, onions and green onions. Also got it naked with the fries and slaw on the side. Over all pretty good but now that I know that you can get the bread grilled I will ask for that next time, probably would have help the whole thing stay together a bit better. My wife and I stopped in after seeing an ad, on IG, for this newer sandwich place in Henderson and were glad we did. We were immediately greeted by one of the owners who happily gave us a rundown of the concept, and her shared vision along with her husband, to bring tasty sandwiches similar to Primanti Bros. (Pittsburgh style) or as she told us "Eastern Ohio style" to the Las Vegas valley. We ordered the Wiseguy & Christie to share which were made freshly while we waited. The sandwiches were large, the bread was exceptionally fresh, the slaw & fries crispy and meats flavorful. The restaurant had plenty of seating and was very clean. Overall, a very good experience that we'd definitely recommend trying. Now they just need to bring one to West Henderson but, either way we'll be back. read more

Yum! I just ate here for lunch and had a great experience. The staff was super friendly and explained the menu to us. My friend and I split the Christie and it was perfect. The flavors paired together really well and the ranch was incredible. The sandwich lives up to its name-it's BIG but the ratios were on point and it wasn't overwhelming. For lunch, half was perfect. The restaurant was clean and cute. They had seating both inside and outside which was nice variety. Happy to see they have a vegetarian option (and you can also build your own sandwich), so I will definitely be back with my vegetarian husband. Highly recommend! read more

Stopped into this place after leaving Castaways. Did a make your own, ham Swiss and the slaw on the sandwich. The fries come on the sandwich usually but made for too big of a bite for me, got them on the side. The sandwich was just meh, I didn't' get toppings as I was told the slaw was going to add good flavor and a nice little bite. Slaw was not that good, sorry. Really no taste to it as far as a good slaw. Bread was good, it's a thick cut white mine was not toasted. Meat and cheese were heated on the grill. Fries were good, heavy on the salt though. My brother and I stopped in today after getting hair cuts for his wedding tomorrow, we came across Biggies by pure luck by Google Maps, we went in and met the man himself and his amazing sandwich artist, he gave us a run down of the menu and recommended the Nashville and the Bugawk let me tell you it was outstanding, we usually talk when we eat but no sir not today our mouths were full (literally) we definitely will be coming back and bringing more family and friends because it has an awesome vibe and great food and excellent service read more

First I'll start with something hard to swallow (no pun intended) then I'll give you reasons to try it anyways. Two sandwiches and two sodas, tax and tip came out to $54.74. Probably good to know that going in. BUT, the quality was very evident; fresh, flavorful ingredients and a healthy portion. Seems like a well-run establishment, a tight ship with friendly employees who look like they're working hard. Several menu items are unique and intriguing. I'm glad we tried it.
