I hesitated to walk in here as a first time visitor, the first thing I noticed was the white linen tables and took a step back. The hostess was so nice to invite me back, I was wearing a pair of simple slides and jeans but discovered the dress is pretty casual at 4:00 pm. We sat at the bar for drinks and small bite to eat, the portions were fine especially for the price. We got the small plates deals I believe start at 4:00 pm. You can get small bites for under $10 We enjoyed Palomas and dessert with our food. We ordered the flourless chocolate cake and it was amazing! Definitely going back for that alone. Sliders were good, a lot of flavor. My tacos were too salty, probably won't order again. Thanks to Ian and Yovan for a great experience. read more

Mother's Day; I have a reservation at 7:45 PM. We get there and check in at 7:40 PM very shortly after they send a text and say you're ready. We go to the counter to be seated in the manager is there wiping off some menus and without even saying hello he just looks at me and says we're cleaning off tables and I politely said we just received the text and we are here. He then says in a very unprofessional tone and rather loudly. " we are cleaning off table tables" I don't know what his issue is, but I let that slide. We are now seated at our table. We ordered drinks and my drink is brought to me quickly, but my wife's drink is never brought. I tell the waiter and he doesn't know what happened. It takes our order and then goes to get her drink. We are sitting there while other people have been seated next to us and receive their food and started eating. Yep our food never came out of the kitchen. I asked the waiter 45 minutes later what is going on then he comes back telling us the kitchen is backed up. Total lie., how is it backed up when other people seated next to us later than us are eating before us? This is the last time we will eat here. It has gone downhill since my first review and I have just never updated my review. Note to the manager, I am from Los Angeles, I have eaten at steakhouses in New York and Dallas. If if you moved this location to any one of these three cities, it would actually be the equivalent of a Denny's. Do not talk to customers who are paying like a fourth class citizen if you worked for me, you would be fired read more

I've been here multiple times. It is an absolutely beautiful restaurant great bar to have a high-quality cocktail. Station casinos Customer Service is on point from the hostess the bus people the waiter and sommelier they make the experience fabulous and special. Now to the food, their steaks and seafood are super high-quality. Some of the standouts are the crab legs absolutely fabulous although it is expensive at $170 but it is worth it. I would definitely go back and enjoy myself. It's quite an experience. read more

The food was very disappointing. We had the steak and lobster. The fillet was average, nothing special at all, and very pricey. Lobster was ok, and very small. The shishito peppers were horrible. We sent them back and they took them off the bill. The salad was wilted, and not crispy at all. If you're looking for something special, this is definitely not it. read more

Went with 3 of us for dinner on Friday evening. Loon was our server and the entire night our service was excellent. The wine, appetizers and dinners were all excellent. Only portion I would rate down was the seafood appetizer at 55.00 as it came with a miniature piece of a king crab leg along with 2 oysters, 2 jumbo shrimp and a small lobster tail. Overall everything was real good. Final bill not including tip was 470.00. Not something we do regularly, but well worth the cost. highly recommend. read more

After living nearby for over a decade, we finally tried Sonoma and I'm so glad we did! The place is tucked away inside the casino so I'd never seen it before, absolutely worth seeking out. Candlelit, white tablecloths, classy vibe. We sat at a table in the bar and the bartender was our server, welcoming and attentive. She brought out a basket full of hot fresh breads and butter that was amazing! My boyfriend ordered an old fashioned and I got a Cherry Bon Bon and let me tell you, it's phenomenal! Like an old fashioned and an espresso martini has a baby. Delish! We tried the chopped salad, charred corn, shishito peppers, sliders, mac and cheese, meatballs - WOW! Everything was delicious, everything. Brought some friends back a few weeks later and they loved it too. This is our new go-to fine dining spot close to home. read more

Still celebrating my birthday locally.. This restaurant immediately became one of my favorite restaurants hands down and UP! Reservations is definitely recommended, as I saw how busy it can get! We had the HONOR of having Miss Scarlett as our waitress! She is definitely made to deliver exceptional customer service! Miss Scarlett was not only knowledgeable of every dish, she was also funny and just delightful to be around. Her sense of humor was appreciated because my boyfriend and I can be sarcastic The food was absolutely delicious!!! We ordered the grass fed filet mignon, roasted chicken and the large lobster tail ( I forgot to take out pictures of that- I was hangry) Everything was cooked to perfection! Fyi- if you order the roasted chicken, it's a 45 minute wait. ( It's cooked per order. Worth the WAIT) The crispy skin , the moisture, the flavor. Nothing short of AMAZING!!! Dessert - They had a complimentary birthday dessert. Creme Brulee. We also ordered the carrot cake bread pudding dessert. One bite and you'll want to smack yourself for being thiccccccc Overall it was definitely a place we will definitely be coming back to! Do yourself a favor and ask for Scarlett to be your waitress.. You're welcome! As always, I'll be back in my Arnold Schwarzenegger voice... read more

It's official you always want to give place a second chance! But nope! There mashed potatoes are instant potatoes are you kidding me 13.00 for a side the box is like 2.00! This is where fine dining has gone! They were glossy and looked and tasted like paste! How can you call this fine dining I would even say there is a possibility there meat is "cultured" stay away not worth it for to golden steer!!!! I also did ask if they were instant and I was told YES read more

This is still my favorite steakhouse ever. I go to many fancy steakhouses in California, but Sonoma Cellar tops my list. The service is always impeccable. The food is phenomenal and the drinks are great. I can eat the pretzel bread for days! The new york with blue cheese fondue is my favorite. It is always cooked a perfect medium rare and it's big enough for my husband and I to share. The mashed potatoes are yummy and the creamed spinach is the best ever. The chopped salad is dream worthy. I look forward to dining here anytime I am staying at Sunset Station. The restaurant is pure elegance. We enjoy dining at the bar top. If we aren't at the bar top, we request Poom as our server. read more

We got there at 5:45 not many people so service was amazing. I liked we could have a conversation without yelling. We got the valentines dinner for two. Would have been better off ordering straight from the menu. We could have each gotten a steak and sides for the same price. Lobster bisque soup was very good. You only get one porterhouse to split so beware. We thought we were each getting a steak. The steak seemed like it was sitting in a warmer than heated up before serving. It was tender, but very dry and tasted more like liver than porterhouse. I was very disappointed in the steak and that was the main course. read more

My daughter and I had the best time at Sonoma Cellar tonight! (Christmas Eve) The food was exceptional. I had the filet which was great and I also had 2 of my daughter's crab legs as she ordered the 1 1/2 lbs so I could enjoy a couple. We had potatoes, asparagus and mushrooms with our meal as well and Crème brûlée for dessert. Our server was Scarlett and I wish I could have Scarlett at every restaurant I eat at! She was phenomenal and I truly can't say enough about how amazing she was! Will be back! read more

My honest review: I ordered not one, but two bone-in ribeyes. The portion is ok for $57, but everything else is à la carte. While the steaks were large, nearly half of each was fat, which was disappointing. The quality didn't compare to places like Texas Roadhouse or other local steakhouses. In fact, the texture reminded me of a Jackson steak, which is only $20 for 16 oz and includes sides. I was really hoping for a high-quality, solid steak, so this was a letdown. That said, the service was excellent and the bread was amazing--those were the highlights and the reason for the 4-star review. read more

Disclaimer: I don't eat mammals so I can't review the meat but everyone in our party loved their food. I'm here to tell you that the service was impeccable/top-notch. We had a staff of people catering to our every want/need. Even better than The Golden Steer as far as service goes. All the food arrived hot, even my lobster bisque. I worked in the restaurant business for a very long time so I am familiar with all that goes on in restaurants and this place gets over 5 stars for the service we received. Everything I did taste was delicious (I wasn't feeling well the night we went so I didn't eat much). They serve a huge basket of bread with a variety of choices. The two I had were yummy. My only suggestion here (as well as for the Golden Steer) is to serve butter warmers along with the lobster. Why some nicer restaurants don't do this, I don't know. Two in our party had lobster - when I order lobster I really don't like when the butter cools down when I'm paying so much for a meal. Bottom line, if you don't want to deal with The Strip, this is your place for a nice steakhouse! read more

I made a reservation. I was one person they took forever to bring my cocktail. The bread service was cold. It's like the bread was frozen and they warmed it up, but they didn't warm it up enough. The steak was really gritty. They took a long time I was not happy with my mail. They don't even fix your baked potato for you. You have to do it all yourself. I do not recommend this steakhouse. I just feel like I spent a lot of money and did not get a good experience and did not get a good meal. Maybe it's because I had on sweatpants but I was wearing a nice shirt. Maybe I wasn't dressed. Nice enough for you people, but my money is still good. Things could've been done a lot better. i'm on Social Security disability. I don't have a whole lotta money and I really wanted a nice steak dinner. I did not get that. The other thing they could've did that they didn't do since it took him forever to deliver my cocktail. It should've been free. It just was not a good experience and it really doesn't seem like anybody cares. I don't think I will be coming back there to have dinner anytime soon or at all. read more

Has a late lunch here 5/10/2026...The food is AWESOME, food is always hot. My favorite dish here is the Deep Fried Salmon collar!!. It is "seasoned" to perfection. I don't know what kind of salt they use LOL..but maaann, its BOMB!! The service is GREAT. Always checking on our table to see we need anything. Used dishes are always cleared from our table. My ONLY negative comment is the BATHROOM. The ladies room is FILTHY, & NASTY. I had to wash my hands because I got sauce all over it. No lie, if I had gone to the bathroom BEFORE I ate, I can honestly say, I would've left because image would've stayed in my mind while eating. If the bathroom is NASTY then doesn't it make you think how the kitchen really really looks and how clean it is?? Im sad to have to share this because I really like their food. If the workers are using the same bathroom they are brining all the "germs" from it. As a restaurant owner, TO ME, if your bathroom is CLEAN, that's a good indication that where they are preparing the food is clean too....but is it here ?!?!. The bathroom needs to be cleaned with a POWER WASHER and then disinfected. I don't know if this image will leave my braind now..ewwwwwww read more

Came here on Mother's Day it took 40 minutes to get seated and once we got seated took 15 minutes to order a drink so once we got our food we order crab legs that came with a set for 4 for 150$ and two outta the four meat were missing they did replace them but you gotta be careful ! The never asked if we needed a refill on drinks or anything ! The waitress never checked n we had to keep calling for him ! He would literally take 14 minutes to keep coming back if not more ! Goofy clown ! Only thing good was the steak 10/10 I dnt recommend! Oyster was salty from the bed of salt they sit in them and extra small ! Not satisfied at all read more

We dined at the Sonoma Cellar, twice, in the last 2 months. In both cases, the food and service were exceptional! I'm sort of a consummate critic when it comes to dining experiences (and have no affiliation to this restaurant by the way). And, I have to say, I was very impressed. I ordered a filet mignon both times along with a a caesar salad, mashed potatoes, and capped it off with a cream brûlée. Even now, I keep remembering how extraordinarily good everything tasted! I'll be back for sure. read more

Giving Sonoma Cellar at Sunset Station a generous 2 stars. We checked in at 5:00pm when they opened. Hostess told us we were lucky to arrive early as the restaurant fills up quick. We got a nice comfy booth. Asked for bottled water, got bread, placed an order for one appetizer, soups, entrees, and two drinks. People were friendly there and the food was great (but not superb). So why the 2 stars? When we got the check, my jaw dropped. For two people, the total was about $290.00. Where did this price come from? Well, my cognac xo was $60.00 for a single. $60.00!!! For a single cognac xo. I mean, a single is a few sips and it's gone. Without me knowing what they charged for this, the waiter had the gall to ask me if I wanted a second one. I drink cognac xo all the time and buy it by the bottles at Total Wine. I know what this stuff cost, but for this restaurant to charge me $60.00 for a single pour was absurd. Like I said earlier, the food was good but not stellar. We've been to plenty of other places where the food is just as good, if not better, for half the price. Here's the bottom line -- what they charge for food and drinks is totally absurd. Unfair. Irresponsible. And a lousy value for what you actually get. If you're going to charge those prices, you better have a dress code in place, but we saw plenty of people walking in with t-shirts, baseball caps, and plaid as if they just stepped off a tractor. We're not prudes, nor snobs, nor cheap, nor wealthy. We are usually responsible diners, but if I knew they were charging $60.00 for a single cognac, I'd never bother. They price gouge and take advantage of people dining out for a special occasion. $39.00 for a piece of salmon. Nothing else. Sides are extra. Was nothing amazing. We won't be returning anytime soon. And if we do, we'll never order drinks nor appetizers nor soups. $17.00 for a cup of lobster bisque. Ridiculous. Total with about a 15% tip -- $330.00+ out the door. For two people. One drink each. Stupid prices. Stupid dining. Food was fine but not earth shattering. Next time, we'll go literally anywhere else and spend half of this amount and get all we want out of it. read more

From our first steps into Sonoma we were very impressed and had a feeling we were in for some good good. Sonoma Cellar did not disappoint! Our server David was attentive and friendly. He was able to offer suggestions and checked on us throughout the meal. Luckily we picked a time that wasn't busy Friday at 6:15 pm so we went straight to our table without delay. I ordered the lobster bisque as my appetizer and it was creamy and delicious with surprising bites of lobster. My fiancé ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp which was also delicious! I also ordered the special that included a petite filet and lobster tail for the same price as the filet mignon by itself. My fiancé ordered the 24 ounce porterhouse and that thing needed a plate so by itself! David suggested I order my 6 ounce petit as medium plus which was perfectly cooked! A bit of pink with no blood running out. My lobster tail was a little cold but it was tasty so I didn't complain. I also got the brussel sprouts. Not the best brussel sprouts I ever had but certainly not bad. My fiancé got the street corn as a side and it was super flavorful. My Pinot noir was smooth and really enhanced my meal. All in all a nice place for dinner. Beautifully decorated and great ambiance. The manager even said hello and checked to be sure everything was ok. Will be back! read more

We returned here with friends on Christmas Day, and had a fine dinner. A complimentary Bread Basket at a nice assortment of doughy products, including popovers and Pretzel Bread. Then our party of four shared some Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. The crustaceans were accompanied by Dijon Marmalade, which I could have done without. An order of Oysters Rockefeller was okay. A crock of French Onion Soup Gratinee was cheesy and very well made. And a Steakhouse Chopped Salad was good. Diane and I split 1-1/2 pounds of excellent and easily opened King Crab Legs for our main, accompanied by very good, lightly crisp French Fries, Mashed Yams with Melted Marshmallow, and Green Beans Almondine. I was particularly fond of the Yams. Our friends ordered a nice-looking 10 oz. Filet, and a Seafood Jackpot. We were seated at our reservation time of 6:00 p.m., and had depleted most ordered food by 8:45 p.m. Thus, we were all too full for dessert. Prices were reasonable for what we received, with King Crab Legs now a very expensive commodity. We paid $169.00 for the rather large portion we ordered, but it was a holiday, so were willing to splurge a little, and the sweet morsels supplied entrees for two people. Service was good, except one Lobster Bisque was initially forgotten. Seating was comfortable in a large booth, and the ambiance here is classy. We will definitely return again. Newly redecorated and fancy restaurant and bar. Service fell very short. Our appetizer bacon wrapped shrimp was forgotten though we told the drink and server men. Chop salad was chopped to a pulp!! Lobster dinners were tasty but waiter didn't offer to take out of the shells or offer a side plate for the discarded shells. We had to ask for a plate and he grabbed a tiny bread plate for big shells. Lady who seats guests was inattentive and told us just see if there's a table there instead of knowing and assisting us when we arrived early. She was very unprofessional and tromped through the dining room with her to go drink actually drinking as she walked through the dining room. Had to get up and ask for our bill and timing was very much off. Desserts were offered but we were waiting and ready to go! Overall enjoyed the food. read more

The place is beautiful. The environment has a good configuration to allow multiple large tables without being overly loud. Our waiter was shockingly slow. It took nearly 30 mins + to get cocktails. Meals took almost an hour and a half. All the steaks were at various temps, "medium" was well done. Prices were about what you would expect for a steak house. Note no "real" vegan options. So many other steak houses in town have a signature dish for vegans. We had a salad and some taste sides. looking for a different spot for next time read more

Second visit to Sonoma Cellar in Henderson and I honestly didn't think it could top the first... but it was even better. We were lucky enough to have the same server again, Scarlet, and she truly made our anniversary dinner feel special. She took the time to remember us, get to know what we like, and she made a few recommendations that my husband absolutely loved. That kind of personal touch is rare these days, and it really stood out. Now for the food -- the porterhouse was, in my opinion, the best steak in town. And I've been to some of the most expensive steakhouses around... none of them compare to this. The atomic horseradish is the best I've ever had, and the Caesar salad dressing deserves its own spotlight because it was that good. To top it all off, they surprised us with a dessert treat for our anniversary, and it was incredible. We'll definitely be back, and we've already decided we'll only go when Scarlet is working -- she made the entire experience feel extra special. Highly recommend. read more

Never made it past the bar. Nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Bar bites menu is very good.

I saw a post on Instagram about their Date Night tuesdays. I mentioned to husband right away. He said lets go, and made a reservation. We arrived 15mins early for our reservation but Rose was kind enough to sit us right away. We were greeted by Poom, our server. Asked us what kind or wine we like, white or red. We asked her of its sweet, says both wines are dry. We chose white anyway. She was right but not bad. Hubs got caesar, prime new york and vanilla ice cream, as i got french onion soup, prime new york steak and creme brulee. They gave us basket of bread first. Caesar was ok dont get me wrong, but i like the walmart packaged one better. Hehe the french onion soup wasnt hot enough, not warm. Close to about get cold already. Not complaining still. The steak was sooo good tho. So glad I ordered it instead of chicken. Was tasty and tender. The garlic something sauce was very good too. We loved it! Im not a fan of vanilla ice cream, but hubs said its good. Creme brulee omg, so yum! $110 for 2 was so worth it. Perfect date night! read more

We went for a birthday celebration. We expected a slightly upscale experience based on how BEAUTIFUL the restaurant is. Unfortunately, the look of the restaurant was the only thing upscale about our experience. Our food took OVER AN HOUR to be served. As we were making our decision to just leave, the food actually arrived. The restaurant was barely 1/3 of the way full. We had reservations at 615 and finally ended up with food at 745!!! Im not sure how they managed to serve some dishes bland and other dishes over salted but they did. The table ordered 3 MEDIUM steaks, all of them looked different. One of them was so chewy, it was inedible. Some of our veggies were cold when they go to the table. The 2 stars are only based on the delicious cocktails we had. Besides that, I wish we would have had our celebration somewhere else. I definitely don't see a reason to come back. I do not recommend anyone coming here for anything remotely close to an upscale dinner. Upscale prices don't mean upscale service or food. STAY AWAY. read more
