I have been wanting to try this place for years ! We finally came here and its was great! Our waiter Terrie was amazing and so helpful with recommendations. This restaurant is very intimate but not overwhelming. We tried 3 different appetizers and they were all great. My favorite was the carpaccio and crab cake. The goat cheese wontons were good but not my favorite. The entrees we got were the Alaskan halibut and the cajun steak. The fish was our favorite ! I would go back just for that! What an incredibly disappointing experience. My family and I have been coming to Todd's for years, and after the service today, it will be awhile until I return. Everything was a wait, even when there were only about two tables in the restaurant other than my party. No, our server was not the only person assisting with the tables, so there's no excuse for how poor our experience was. It started when nobody asked my mother if she wanted another drink. In fact, nobody ever came over to ask us how our meal was or if we wanted anything. I didn't get anything to drink with the exception of water (I will get in to that in a second), but the waiter was in a rush dropping things off to our table. I wanted to get a Diet Coke, but the waiter rushed off before I could even order a drink. We got one large bottle of water to share between the two of us, which we finished before our entree came. Nobody came to check and see if we wanted more water. We finally asked for some water towards the end of our meal and the waiter was questioning us on why we wanted another bottle. It was as if he didn't want to sell us the bottle of water. So after going back and forth with him, trying to get a simple bottle of water, we thought the consensus was that he would bring it to us. He did not. There's other issues that I would typically shrug off, but these paired with the fact I couldn't even get a refill of water really made it an overall unpleasant experience. -the phone. It was on one servers belt the entire time. Every time someone would call, the ringtone was so loud, shrill even. I'm glad that people are calling, but there has to be a better way to hear the calls coming in, without it being so loud and disrupting to people already dining. Cheapens the experience and makes the ambiance less enjoyable. This isn't an office, it's a restaurant. Get an earpiece or lower the ringtone. Something. Anything. Would have been better. - the waiters attitude. He was smug and dismissive the entire night. He got the order right and that's the only thing we really didn't have an issue with. I get it. People can have bad days, but I don't like feeling like a burden that I am dining somewhere. Three Stars because we've had good experiences in the past. Chef/ownerTodd Clure and his wife were MIA this evening but we recognized our server who has been serving customers at Todd's since it first opened back in what I believe may have been the fall of 2007 with our initial visit shortly thereafter. We started with a shared pear and blue cheese salad which was truly delicious. Todd specializes in fresh seafood with an Asian twist so my wife ordered seared salmon with a green onion and ginger sauce accompanied by rice and bok choy. Alaskan halibut served with an artichoke and caper sauce and accompanied by mashed potatoes and assorted vegetables drew my attention. Todd's has been on my list for years but I just never had a reason to come here. When I saw it on the restaurant week 2024 list, I knew it was finally the time to give it a shot and boy am I glad I did. Along with the complimentary bread, I ordered the watermelon salad, grilled flat iron steak with jalapeno cheddar polenta and BBQ butter, an extra side of charred corn and cherry peppers, and the salted caramel butterscotch pudding for dessert. I also tried my buddy's appetizers (goat cheese wontons and Asian dumplings) and dessert (lemon blueberry mousse). Let me just say, the name of this restaurant is spot on. With the exception of the starter bread and the Asian dumplings, everything else we ordered was something completely new and unique to my taste buds. I may have had those certain foods before, but never with those flavors or pairings. I was surprised that I had so many new tastes in one meal. It was truly exciting. I don't want to make this review too long so I won't go into every item but the standouts to me were the watermelon salad, the goat cheese wontons, and both desserts. The salad was like nothing I have had before then and it was just bursting with flavor but was also incredibly simple. The wontons were crispy but light and packed with cheese. They were paired with a raspberry sauce which seems odd at first but we were scraping it up with the wontons after our first bites. The desserts, first off, we quite a good size even though my pictures just show them in a little glass. My pudding was sweet, salty, and surprisingly light. I could've licked that glass clean. The mousse was even lighter both in taste and density and was a nice, bright way to finish a meal. The service was very prompt and kind and asked us if we would like more bread which is always nice. The décor is a bit dated to be honest and feels straight from the late 90's, early 00's. The booths were also pretty uncomfortable. They were completely 90's, maybe even 85 degrees and there was no arch support whatsoever. Overall though, it was a great experience and I will definitely be back to try their regular menu or even attend one of their special events. read more

This is going to make me sound so biased, but I've never tried Todd's, even though I've heard only good things, because it seems weird to me that a "nice" restaurant would be by the grocery store, movie theater, nerd store (lol) and dentist I go to. However, Valentine's Day was on a Wednesday, during a very busy week at work, we decided to be super low key and eat near our home. This is when I thought, "Well, why not finally try Todd's?" Good thing we did! First, I have to say the service here is INCREDIBLE. We were new, obviously, and there were many regulars coming in that night, but our server, and everyone else we came into contact with, treated us in the same friendly, excited manner. There seems to be a lot of care and concern and I appreciate that. Second, the ambiance is great. The restaurant is nice and clean, especially the bathroom. The colors are dark and the lighting is moody so it's very romantic. It kind of made me think of a home style café/pub in the UK/Europe, with the big bar and wine bottles. Third, the food! That short rib with the jalapeno mash is to die for and we've already discussed that when we get that craving for some meat, we are coming here to have this short rib. Also, the Brussel sprouts are amazing and I definitely recommend those! Four stars for the rest of the food. We came here with some friends who absolutely RAVE about Todd's and I was stoked to try everything. The TL;DR is that Todd's is good, but it's not mind-blowing. The dishes lack a bit of finesse but the price point is very manageable so it's a good deal for very solid food. We had a lot of things I can't remember but the fish was a definite standout. The fried goat cheese wonton situation was great in theory but it was a little heavy and the raspberry sauce was not my favorite. The biggest disappointment was the calamari - it was too heavily breaded and fried too deeply (vs a flash fry). The ambience is alright (though it was freezing inside) and the staff was great. First of all. I have to call THREE times to make a reservation. The first two times I left a message and no one called me back. The 3rd time I called someone answered and I finally got the reservation for Thanksgiving. When we arrived, we were greeted by the hostess who told us that our table wasn't ready yet and we could either wait at the bar, wait outside or wait in our car. We asked how long it would be and she gave us a blank look without ever responding. Then she proceeded to sit us down at a table . . . and as we were sitting down, she told this was NOT our table and we had to get up and wait for our table. Our server was polite (and the most positive thing about our dining experience) and took our drink orders followed by our dinner orders. When the bread arrived it was hard and difficult to cut. Too little butter was provided for the amount of rolls. Then the soups and salads arrived. Soup was served just barely warm and the salads were just ok. We had to ask for ground pepper. Then dinner came. The turkey was just ok. The green beans were under cooked and the steaks were just awful. The two who had the steaks couldn't even eat them. The the trio of deserts came. The pecan pie was very good. The pumpkin pie pieces were still frozen. And the apple strudel was a bunch of pieces pushed together. The server said they were running out of desserts and had to piece it together. Really? A fixed menu and you know how many are coming since you take a credit card for the reservation and you can't order enough food?? Lastly, the person busing the table dropped the dishes and a bunch of the sauce was spilled on three of us. The server came out and offered us wet towels to clean up. She said that the server was new and it was just an accident. So we are taking two pairs of pants and one shirt to the dry cleaners to see if the stains will come out. You would have thought there might be something adjusted to the bill for our experience, but nope. We have been to Todd's many times over the years. The time before this was just ok. Entree I had the Oktoberfest special and it was awesome. The schnitzel was 10/10! Another person had the filet mignon and it was really good too. Dessert we finished off with some chocolate cake. We have been going to Todd's for 4 years. Sorry to say it has gone down hill each year. Last year we went and were disappointed so we waited one more year. Tonight was our last time that we will select this restaurant. The menu says rack of lamb. We ordered medium well. The plate came with a chunk of meat that was cut off of the 3 tiny ribs that it sat next to and was solid red. Rare would have been an improvement. The dorado fish had a decent taste to it but was luke warm and was about 4 oz of fish with about 6 small string beans over a cut of rice. Flavor was good but due to temperature and volume, quite a disappointment. This was a Friday eve at 6:30 and the place was about 30% occupied. Service was just OK with nice ambience. The waitress offered a free dessert when the bill came. To late! We will just erase this from our restaurant choices. read more

Walking into Todd's feels like your neighborhood hangout. Very comfortable and inviting. Mai Tai was the drink I tried. The bartender did not hold back it was very strong. I ordered the beef carpaccio Which had tender slices of beef, Romano cheese, and capers there was a sauce mayonnaise based. It takes more like a deconstructed sandwich. My entrée was beef braised ribs with creamy polenta, and a mushroom Demi glaze. They also brought out bread and butter without me asking. If I could give 3.5 I would. Had dinner here the other night when visiting my mother in Henderson. Quite a few of her friends said we needed to try this restaurant so we did. Our server was nice and pretty attentive. Below is what we ordered. Meatloaf- it was good but not sure we would order it again. Filet- very flavorful. I asked for no sauce. When I order a nice steak, I like to taste the meat. I don't usually order a filet as I like a little marbling but it was the only steak on the menu that sounded good. This I would order again. Ribeye- it was good but about a quarter of it was inedible fat. My husband will eat some fat but this was not marbleized, it was just fat. The steak that had no large pieces of fat were good. Short ribs were the best. Steak and scallops came a close second. Lamb chops were just ok. Appetizers and salads were on the smaller side. I've been wanting to come here forever and I thought it was some 5star elegant restaurant so I'd been avoiding it. WRONG. While it is very 5 star service and quality, you can totally walk in casual and not feel eye-balled. Again, I thought it was too fancy for me so I'd been avoiding coming but they were doing a restaurant week menu so that brought me in. My boyfriend loves getting steak from restaurants medium rare and they're always overdone. As soon as he cut into this one he said, "babe, look!", it was perfect. All of the food was really good and our server was tentative and kind and cared how we were enjoying our food. It was definitely unique, having different flares of flavor on the menu. We had a 6:30 reservation, did not water until 7pm. the waitress we had took all the wine glasses off the table, assuming we weren't having wine. I had to tell her we wanted a bottle of wine after we ordered. She took our order, but it was 30mins before we got out our appetizers. Then it was 30mins later when we got our main course. After all this, the bill was $695.00, because they included an automatic gratuity of $95.00, which i felt was way too much for the service we got. read more

After our large party paid the check with a built in gratuity, as customary for large group, while we were in the midst of parting conversation while finishing up our desserts, the staff decided they need to flicker the lights the way a low class bar does when they want customers to leave. They were unapologetic about it and did it several times starting at 8:45pm. They close at 9:00pm and we had 7pm reservations. Most restaurants usually account for a little bit of time to let customers finish up a few minutes past closing but not this place. Eat, pay, and GTFO. It was very good with a nice rich sauce. The bread served early was warm and tasty. The butter was quite cold, but the logistics of having softer butter has to be difficult. My wife had the halibut, as always, and it was very good. The artichokes it came with were very good. I had the special of the night, the scallops. They were probably the best scallops I have ever had. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and the service is professional and of high caliber. The downside of the meals was the vegetables. The cauliflower was somewhat dry, not overly tasty. The green beans and broccoli were fine. My wife's mashed potatoes weren't bad, but, for me, the potatoes and butternut squash medley with the scallops was below average. The main dishes, and the desserts, were great. I have been so late to the party for this incredible meal. I honestly have to thank Yelp and Lauren C. for introducing me to dining here. I have had this place bookmarked for a couple years as Lauren C. has dined here often and raves about the food so I finally had the time and opportunity to experience this special dining pleasure. There were four of us dining together. Several dishes were ordered including the most amazing appetizer which were the Goat Cheese wontons. Not just beautiful in presentation but melt in your mouth goodness. This was just the beginning of the five star experience I had. The Caesar salad was tart and cheesy with just the right amount of creamy, peppery dressing. Next arrived the Jumbo Seared Scallops served with mushroom mashed potatoes topped with pistachio butter. From ocean to table, these scallops were true perfection and the pistachio butter was so unusual yet quietly complimented this dish. To close out the dinner, desserts were shared including an out of this world salted caramel butterscotch pudding. It was truly delectable. I've heard about Todd's for years but only recently made it in with a group of friends for dinner. It's a cozy family spot, with Todd in the kitchen and his wife running front of house. I recommend a reservation as they were busy even on a weeknight dinner. Covid precautions in full effect with spaced tables, staff in masks, pitchers at tables to decrease contact for refills, etc. Service was attentive throughout our evening and they didn't mind us lingering to socialize as their dinner rush wound down. Their menu changes seasonally but there are a few staples that are always around, as well as daily specials- most regulars rave about the scallops, Steak on Fire, and the short rib. I tried two of the three sharing with a friend, the scallops were huge and the steak is served with chili fries for a fun take on Steak Frites. Both portions were large and fairly priced. The goat cheese wontons, Grumpy's salad (similar to a wedge but chopped), and the butterscotch pudding desserts were also standouts! Now that I've finally been, I can confirm the hype is real- solid food, warm service, and an old school vibe. Places like this are exactly what they mean by the phrase, "hidden gem." It has been quite awhile since I've updated my review for one of my favorite local restaurants. This was one of the first restaurants that I tried after moving to Las Vegas. I hope that this section of my review becomes irrelevant soon, but I have to give kudos for their Covid precautions. They are only seating every other table and strongly enforcing mask wearing for patrons (when not seated). Every employee had a mask on at all times. Placemats and menus are now paper. The bread is now served on a plate instead of a basket. Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance. A water carafe was provided to limit employees constantly coming close to refill water glasses. They have made excellent changes to make the dining experience safer and in accordance with current regulations. Curbside takeout is being offered right now. They have adapted to the times with a reasonably priced daily family style meal for takeout. Check Facebook or join their email list to get the takeout menu updates. We ordered takeout during the closures and everything was packaged well and tasted great. Todd's is one of those restaurants where you can count on having a delicious meal. There are some menu staples, but certain entrees, salads, and starters change. They usually have specials with seasonal options. For example, a corned beef dinner for St. Patrick's Day or schnitzel in October. Both are excellent! My favorite entree is the Skirt Steak on Fire. This is Todd's signature dish and for good reason. I love it prepared medium rare. The sauce on the steak and crispy fries is so good. Grumpy's Salad gives me my blue cheese fix with generous amounts of blue cheese dressing and crumbles. The watermelon martini is refreshing. The Salted Caramel Butterscotch Pudding has the best caramel on top. I love that they offer a butterscotch dessert. Those are my favorite items, but everything here is great. The seafood dishes like the scallops are excellent. They also get seasonal seafood like Copper River salmon. Other excellent deserts are any type of bread pudding, any flavor of creme brûlée, and their brownie. I've enjoyed the meatloaf and short rib over the years as well. I love my local businesses and Todd's is as local as it gets. Todd is in the kitchen cooking the excellent food while his wife, Terri is running the dining room. My husband and I scheduled a little getaway for ourselves at Green Valley Ranch resort. We wanted a different dining experience and found Todd's Unique Dining. Overall the restaurant has a very cozy vibe and seems to be frequented by locals. The menu changes often which is what really enticed us to try this place out. As an appetizer, if it's on the menu, please try the goat cheese wontons. They are amazing as a starter or even as a savory dessert at the end of your meal. The salads we ordered were super fresh greens & ingredients. Main dishes were very appetizing. I had the sea bass & hubby had the short rib. Mmmm, so good! Luckily, we saved a bit of room for dessert and went with the snickerdoodle bread pudding. Phenomenal. It definitely feeds 2, if not 3 to 4 people.
