We came for my wife's birthday. The restaurant has been on my Yelp list of places to try since we moved here 2 years ago. We finally decided to give it a try and it is the best meal we have had since we moved here. From the warm complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to the lobster bisque.... We had the seafood pasta with shrimp and lobster, the rigatoni carbonera that has large pieces of pancetta and sweet peas and my daughter had the chicken parmigiana. I came across this Italian restaurant on Yelp. It had good reviews and the food looked amazing. I started with a glass of sangria, which tasted wonderful. I then ordered the grilled calamari, artichoke and spinach bruschetta on crusted bread, linguine with clams and orange roughy with risotto. The calamari was cooked perfectly. It was served in a brown sauce, which was phenomenal. I've had calamari in the past, but never served like this. Without question, this by far was the best calamari I've ever had and I've had calamari in many different countries around the world. The sauce truly elevated this dish. The linguine and clams & the orange roughy with risotto were cooked and seasoned well. Both dishes had good flavor and tasted great. The portion sizes were adequate and each dish was priced accordingly. The Chef/owner (Rudy), stopped by the table, introduced himself and inquired about my meal. This is something often not seen in restaurants but when it does happen, it speaks volumes on the importance the establishment places on immediate (real time), customer feedback. The restaurant has an old school Italian vibe with photographs and other memorabilia affixed to the walls. The wooden paneling coupled with the dark burgundy walls makes for a good combination. The staff is very familiar with the menu and will offer recommendations on some customer favorites. This gem of a spot is amazing and a must visit! The food is stellar, from start to finish. The menu is aa eclectic, delightful list of everything I'd love to try. We started with the mushrooms & dates adobo and added the pork belly. The pork belly simply melted in your mouth, mushrooms & dates caramelized to sticky perfection. The evening we visited we were treated to a silky, rich lobster bisque topped with a half tail and a triangle of crispy puff pastry. Every spoonful was an explosion of flavor making it impossible to stop until the bowl was empty. I treated myself to the eggplant siciliana. The eggplant was thinly sliced and delicately breaded. It was a perfect balance between breading and eggplant - covered in gooey melted cheese and a bright, light marinara. The portions are plentiful enough to share, or plan for take home. The staff is warm and welcoming. We had a birthday girl with us, 21st! She was treated to several sips by the owner and our wonderful server, attempting to find the one she'd like. Phenomenal! Amazing food, atmosphere, the check if super friendly, and we loved the food so much that he catered my wedding reception AND I went there for my birthday dinner! Chef Rudy was attentive, easy to work with, and able to cater to a very picky and particular set of foodies when it came to my mom and husband. They both wanted light bites and options for all the guests as appetizers before we had our actual dinner portion. We settled on surf and turf for the wedding, with multiple options like shrimp bruschetta, salmon and ribeye, calamari, pork belly lettuce wraps, signature salad, spaghetti and meatballs, seafood linguini, salmon and asparagus/veggies, and of course, Tiramisu. None of the dishes were a disappointment. The meat was tender and not overcooked, salmon was fall of the fork good/tender, the shrimp bruschetta and linguini very flavorful, and the spaghetti and meatballs were most enjoyable. If I could give 4.5 I would. Found this restaurant for my mother's 80th birthday. I also had flowers delivered and they were very nice and placed the flowers on the table for when we arrived. I love that it is family owned. I made a reservation at 6pm for 6 on a Friday night. It was fairly busy and got busier as the night went on. I think their AC was broken or at least part of it was as it was pretty warm inside. We were all warm and it got much warmer once our food arrived. Our server did not say anything about it either. They had two big floor fans set up in the hallway facing into the dining area. We did not let that ruin the evening though and the food was very good. We ordered the following. Arancini - very cheesy and huge! They come with 3 balls but they are big and you can def share them. Fettuccini- creamy and buttery yet light. Lamb chops with risotto- pretty decadent and a good portion. Cioppino - I added lobster but the seafood (clams, mussels, squid and salmon) was an abundant and cooked perfectly. The broth was a bit thicker but tasty. They gave her the famous creme brûlée cheesecake and oh my it was good. There were 6 of us and we ordered 2 bottles of wine and the bill was VERY reasonable. While we reordered the Lobster Bisque and had a Ceasar salad which were both very good, we weren't as happy with our entrees this time around. One of our friends barely ate her dinner as she didn't care for it. We ordered Fettuccine Alfredo, Linguine all's Vongole, Linguine all's Mediterranean and a Fettuccine Al Funghi. I really had forgotten how great this place is!! It's a cute small little spot in Henderson. Decorated invitingly. You can make a reservation or not. They're very friendly. We didn't have a reservation but were seated immediately as we had come kind of early. Our waitress was so nice. We opted on their shrimp bruschetta to start which came with a fantastic salad. The dressing was so good! The dish was fantastic itself. They have fresh delicious warm bread. We also had the fettuccini Alfredo. Again so delicious!! Very helpful, never any attitude over requests. Helped us sample a few wines before we found the right ones too. Started with lamb chops and caprese salad. One of the lamb chops was so good, paired with grilled peppers, dates and micro greens. The other two chops were sort of tough and fatty unfortunately, so I could barely get any meat off them. Wife ordered the Caprese salad and enjoyed it. Forgot to mention the bread was really good! Sort of reminiscent of pandasal which may be intentional, as the chef's ode to the Philippines. Linguine with clam sauce was very good, al dente pasta and tons of chopped clams. The heavy cream was a little rich, but not so much where it couldn't be enjoyed -- just different from other vongoles. My wife got the special branzino style sea bass with grilled shrimp abd and a citrus risotto. Was $45 but very generous portion, that could have easily gone for $65 on the strip. The food is a bit on the high side for pasta but they do a pretty good job. They have nights where they haul out the big Parmesan wheel and torch it then toss your pasta in there to cheese it up. This last visit was one of those nights. Mom was paying since it was for our birthdays and anniversary. I thought she was going to have a coronary. There were probably many too many appetizers purchased and if they offer family style salad say no we paid 40 for two salads that were not family sized. The calamari was outstanding though. A Hidden Gem -- Incredible Italian with Heart Il Chianti is amazing! We absolutely love Chef Rudy and everything about this restaurant. The food is consistently fantastic, and it's clear that there's so much care and heart behind every dish. We've tried several things on the menu -- from the creamy Alfredo pasta to the flavorful New York steak -- and it's all been delicious. But let me tell you... their garlic bread is what dreams are made of. It comes out warm and crusty with garlic, olive oil, parmesan, and spices -- and I honestly think about it all the time. It's that good. Il Chianti is definitely on the finer dining side, so prices reflect the quality -- but it's 100% worth it. We've celebrated birthdays here, and even had our wedding luncheon hosted at the restaurant, and they were amazing to work with: so accommodating, so kind, and just a joy to plan with. Chef Rudy's menu has a lot of mouthwatering options I liked that their calamari is grilled and is different from the more common fried ones, but my favorite appetizer is the shrimp bruschetta. My son loves the Spaghetti and Meatballs, and my favorite is the rack of lamb entree served with mushroom risotto. I've tried several of the pasta, and so far, all of them are good. The tiramisu was a bit too sweet for me. They have happy hour days and also Cheese wheel night - just check their website. The manager, Roger, goes around and makes sure each table is doing well. My wife and I have been here several times. Every single time it's been amazing. Last night was no different. The service staff, the chef (who walks around and greets you) are top notch. It's a smaller establishment but don't let that fool you. Small place BIG taste. When you go be sure to indulge in appetizers. This is our first time here. We wanted to find a nice Italian restaurant for a birthday dinner, so we picked this place because it has good reviews. When I called to make a reservation a week in advance, I told them it's for a birthday. Here are the Pros: -Clean restaurant -Nice ambiance -Attentive waiter checked on us many times -Chef came out and said hello -Grilled calamari was not grilled, but cooked in a sauce to perfection -Everyone in party said their dishes were good -Portion sizes were reasonable -Nice variety of items to choose from in the menu -Chef has a nice story -Family owned Here are the Cons: -Upon entering, 3 employees walked by without a greeting or smile (not a good first impression) -Waiter pushed the drinks menu too hard and too often -My Risotto Primera was good, but not great. Good because it was not overly salty, not great because the sun dried tomatoes were the dominant overpowering flavor and I couldn't taste much of anything else -Others in our party said the bread was really good -The menu wasn't clear which items could be substituted for Gluten Free, an asterisk next to the items would've been helpful -THE WORSE thing is the birthday guest of honor was not offered anything for his birthday! What restaurant doesn't offer a small scoop of ice cream or small pastry or even just one bite of a dessert just to put a candle on something....especially after a $300+ tab? I should've been told that they don't do that when I made the BIRTHDAY reservation! It wasn't like the waiter was unaware either, he said "birthday boy" the whole time. Plus, when one of us asked the waiter about bringing something, he just said "oh, you want to ORDER a dessert?" Come on, do better!!! That really ended our dinner on a sour note for this place. I was looking for a good chicken fettuccine Alfredo but could never find any where the sauce has flavor. It was always bland. The owner makes the alfredo sauce like in Italy with no milk. Im lactose intolerant and have had zero issues. The flavor is amazing. My husband and son got the Chicken parmesan and absolutely loved it. The smells coming out of the kitchen make your mouth water. The dining experience was made special not only by the incredible food but by the superior customer service we received from Roger the General Manager. He is just top notch. The food was amazing as well. We were fortunate enough to experience pasta from the giant cheese wheel which they do on Thursdays and Sundays. Delicious! Lobster bisque also delicious! Found this little treasure last night! I was looking for an Italian restaurant and came across Il Chianti...literally down the street from my home! It doesn't look like much from the outside but walk in and wow! You're greeted by some of the friendliest staff. They all seemed genuinely happy to be working there. The ambiance is refreshing; nice music, lighting is just right and the setting is just so....comfortable! You never want for anything....but you do not feel intruded upon. I loved reading about the History and the Chef on the menu. We started with some of the best bread I've ever had! Soft and warm and full of flavor for dipping! We then went with the grilled calamari. Out of this world delicious! I've never had calamari grilled before and it was the bomb! They cover it in this sauce that you simply must try. We had Chicken Marsala and the Carbonara Della Nonna (at the recommendation of our waiter). Great choice! The pasta was so fresh and sauces were perfect. There was so much food we had plenty to take home. We honestly would have loved dessert, but just couldn't eat anymore. Prices were moderate and worth every penny! Absolutely fantastic and not to be missed! Best balsamic vinegar I've ever had and the fresh baked bread was amazing as well. Ordered cheese tortellini, it was wonderful, with tasty mushrooms, tender chicken, fresh melted mozzarella and the vodka sauce was fabulous. Crème brûlée for desert was delicious! A good Italian place near our house. We love it here. The staff is amazing and super nice. The chef is a fellow Filipino who's love for Italian food shows in his menu. He comes out and greets all the customers and talks to them like they are friends. Many are because they are frequent diners. All the items we've tried so far has been good. In our latest trip we had Specialita' Della Puglia which was so good. The sauce was creamy and amazing. It had little bits of prosciutto and the jumbo shrimp just went well together. The beau got the steak which was smothered in this red sauce that I thought was gonna be horrible because who puts a tomato sauce all over a perfectly cooked steak. But it worked out so well. This was our first time at II Chianti Italian and we will for sure be coming back! The service was amazing, they were so friendly and on top of everything. They made sure we always had water, bread, drinks, etc. the food was delicious!!!! We went on a Sunday and they had a cheese wheel that they put our past straight into (see video). We got the Pesto gnocchi and their special of the night, 1/3 egg plant parm, 1/3 chicken parm, 1/3 pasta carbonara. It was probably the best egg plant parm I have ever had! My husband decided to treat me to dinner and told me he found a new Italian place to try. When we pulled up, I laughed! We'd been here once before (he forgot). I was happy because I enjoyed my meal last time. I like the atmosphere-it feels cozy without being stuffy. Our server (who is Roger Mora, the general manager) was very pleasant without being condescending. I ordered the seafood Cioppino and my husband ordered the lasagna (which he makes himself, he's Italian and his grandpa owned a restaurant.) We both enjoyed our meals. I loved the cioppino-the broth was hearty and not oily, like some I've had other places. Plenty of seafood and it tasted fresh. The bread was delicious. I had a lovely house salad, too. Best Italian food in Las Vegas !!! We were lucky enough to go to Il Chianti on Wheel Cheese night. OMG ... it's called Carbonara Della Nonna pasta. A must try !! Our server, Vanessa, highly recommended it. It did not disappoint. The pasta is tossed in a huge parmesan wheel/rind, served with eggplant & veal parmigiana. A perfect balance of the acidic tomato marinara sauce which cuts through the creamy cheese pasta. The spaghetti and meatballs was spot on.
