I've been here at least five times and I have never had a bad meal. I went there on Saturday and started with a bloody Mary. The chef was very friendly. I didn't realize that they also made the drinks. I sat at the bar and you can watch your food being made in the steam kettles. It's a pretty cool experience. I had the combo pan roast with lobster, crab, and shrimp. The chef asked me what spice level, I said 6 and it was perfect. Big chunks of lobster, shrimp, and crab in a very rich sauce with a scoop of perfectly cooked rice on top. It was so delicious. They also serve some bread so you can dip and make sure that bowl is clean when you're done. I highly recommend this place if you love seafood. read more

My husband and I have been coming here for a while. We always make a point to stop in whenever we are in Vegas and have always enjoyed the food. This last time was different, though. I took my three daughters after telling them how amazing the clam chowder, charbroiled oysters, and pan roast are.While we were enjoying our meal which consisted of those dishes, a seafood boil, and a Caesar salad, I noticed a small bug on the rim of the seafood boil bowl. The establishment is quite dark, and because my eyesight isn't the best these days, I initially tried to swat it away thinking it was a fruit fly. It didn't fly. We looked closer and realized it was a baby roach. I asked our waiter to come over, handling it discreetly, and he was genuinely shocked. He hurriedly removed the dish and asked if we wanted a replacement, which I declined. At this point, I fully expected a manager to come over to check on us or apologize, but that never happened.Our waiter returned to ask if we wanted boxes since we were only halfway through eating and had a lot of food left. However, as you can imagine, we had all completely lost our appetites. When the bill was brought, they did take off the cost of the seafood boil, but I was incredibly disappointed that this was the only effort made. I never saw a manager, and they did not offer any additional discount for completely ruining our family dinner. I paid the bill, left a 20% tip, and left.I went back and forth on whether or not to post this, but decided it was necessary. Oyster Bar located inside Sunset Station. This place has stood the test of time without a doubt. I have been coming here for over 20 years. Stopped in after the Jordan Davis concert tonight, and boy did we get some delicious food. We ordered up a combo pan roast, oysters and a couple of waters. They give you a chunk of bread that is so delicious and perfect for dunking into the pan roast when it comes. The combo pan roast had delicious flavor, we didn't go with much heat because I feel it ruins the dish. The shrimp and seafood was cooked perfectly, the flavors in the broth were superb and the rice was perfectly cooked. The oysters, huge! So much meat and so much flavor on these oysters. I wish I had ordered 2 dozen. The staff is always amazing; the food is always delicious and the atmosphere is always upbeat and great. Go get a pan roast, seriously, do it now. I've been on an oyster kick so obviously we had to stop in to this one since we were in the casino anyway. I can't remember our waiters name But he was very nice and explained what oyster they had available what the market price was and checked in on us during our meal. This place reminded me of the rainforest Cafe as the outside of it had water all around it with "waterfalls". We were able to sit at a table and watch the Knights game while we ate a dozen oysters, I can't remember what the name of them were. We followed that up with a clam steamer in the garlic sauce. That sauce was incredible to dip your bread in! To finish up the meal, We had the chicken gumbo with medium heat. This place is 2nd best to the palace station pan roast. I think it's because the pan roast is cooked longer on the steamer so adds more depth and flavor. Whenever I don't want to wait in line, I go here and get my pan roast fix vs the one in palace station, be expected to wait a minimum of 30 mins to 2 hrs + even though they open 24 hrs. They need to get customer seated faster and take their orders in and they only have about 8 steamers to cook at a time and each steamer takes 15-20 mins to cook vs sunset station cooks it between 5-10 mins!! The service is great as they always check on us and fill our water. The jambalaya here isn't as good, so I recommend sticking to pan roast and clam chowder! I'll try their baked oysters next time.. Always got cheap food from Brass fork graveyard specials and their $5.99 burgers, until...... we heard about Oyster Bar's happy hour, which occurs 1 hour prior to closing time. Always got the 1/2 dozen oysters, either clams or mussels and the clam chowder. All from about $9-12. We started venturing out and this last time we got drinks! A michelada and spicy pineapple margarita which is also on their HH. Then we really ventured out more and got their pan roast! We got the combo with shrimp, crab and lobster. So basically a seafood tomato soup! So good! You have to get the bread basket with butter!! Goes perfectly with every dish that is saucy! Our server made our night! I decided to try the Oyster Bar inside Sunset Station today, and I'm glad I did. After reading several reviews, I knew I wanted to try the Shrimp and Lobster Fra Diavolo. And it did not disappoint. The dish was absolutely delightful. I chose a level 5 for the heat, which ended up being the perfect balance. I enjoy spice, but not so much that I can't actually enjoy the food. Honestly, next time I'd probably go up to about a level 7. I also ordered a Hurricane, which I really enjoyed, and they brought out complimentary bread to start things off. Which is always a nice touch. I sat at the bar where you can watch the chefs work, and that really added to the experience. The atmosphere felt lively without being overwhelming, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. In Green Valley Ranch casino after a movie and wanting a quick dinner. It is years since we ate at the Oyster Bar, so we gave it a try. No problem getting a table at 7:30 PM on a Wednesday evening. Our server was at our table right away to get our beverage order and answer questions about the menu. My wife went with the New England clam chowder ($10). A good sized bowl and very tasty. I ordered the house gumbo (($33). The house gumbo includes shrimp, chicken, meat, and veggies. Huge portion - took home half for lunch the next day (it reheats very well!!!) I've heard this Oyster Bar having what you get from the Palace Station without the long queue. Tonight's match was a 3 on 2 handicap match against the pan roast team of Shrimp, Crab and Lobster. This match was very good, very flavorful and PACKED with the 3 different sea bugs. It came with a side of rice (could've used a little more but that's ok) and some bread as well. You can choose your spice level from 1 to 10, the server recommended a 4 but I laughed at such a suggestion and said to give us an 8 PORQUE NO SOY CULERO! DAME EL PINCHE OCHO! CERO MIEDO! This was able to feed both the heel wife and I, so if the $34 price tag seems like a lot, it can be split between 2 people. 1! 2! 3! The team of Shrimp, Crab and Lobster Panroast conquered! We visited the Oyster Bar inside Sunset Station. Understandable being a Friday night, we had to wait in line for a few minutes. We were seated at a high table for two. Our waitress took our drink and food order after a few minutes. Bread and butter were served with our drinks. Soon after receiving our drinks, our dozen of oysters on the half shell arrived. They were fresh and very tasty. A good amount of time later, a male waiter delivered my Shrimp and Lobster Fra Diavolo. This waiter then asked if we needed an extra dish as if we were splitting this dish. It was at this point that I knew something was wrong with our order. My companion ordered a cup of New England Clam Chowder and a Caesar Salad, but they never arrived. Our waitress was nowhere to be found. An extensive amount of time had now passed. I chose not to start eating my dish since my companions food hadn't arrived. We watched another table that had just sat down much later than we did and had already received and started eating their food. Their male waiter came by their table several times while he waited on them, like he should. Frustrated, I finally stood up and looked for a manager near the bar top. A few employees looked my way, but none of them approached me to ask if I needed assistance. Finally, a gentleman came over and asked if I needed help. I explained my issue, and he promised to look for my waitress. She was still nowhere to be found! Then, a chef wearing a baseball hat brought the soup and Caesar salad to our table. I'm sure he scooped up the clam chowder and placed it into a cup and prepared a Caesar Salad. Both were easy to prepare I'm sure. At this point I asked for my food to be placed into a to-go box and asked for my check. Finally, my waitress arrived with the check and she tried to justify the neglectful service. With all the above this place is worth a try and if you like the cajun, creole flavor of the food I think you'll love it, but if you want less flavor in your oyster house, like what I would consider a more traditional east coast oyster bar then it might not be for you. We visited for lunch on Thursday with a party of two, and it was an excellent experience. We arrived and were told to sit anywhere, we chose the bar. Unlike Palace Station, this place has the bar and ample additional seating. We started with Oysters on the Half Shell, they were fresh and large. The horseradish was nice and spicy. We then ordered the Combo Pan Roast (heat level 9.5), added sausage. The thing about Pan Roast is that it is inedible for about 10 mins, pure molten lava. Once it cooled down, it was delicious, with a bit of a kick. Very similar to Palace Station, maybe a little lower on the spice scale. We went to dinner on Friday and this is a smaller location that has maybe 20 tables and 2 servers and bus staff. While it was busy, the service was not good. I had waited for 15 minutes to get a refill on my iced tea. We did enjoy our dinners and salad, but I waited almost 20 minutes to see my server and asked for a dessert that took another 15 minutes to get. My first time eating here at Oyster Bar, found inside of Station Casino. Also, this was my first time visiting Station Casino in Henderson... I heard there is usually quite a wait. We got lucky on a Sunday for lunch & got seated within a few minutes. It's a casual, chill restaurant. Restrooms are located nearby around the corner. If you like seafood, this is quite the spot. Ordered Clam Chowder to start with, since the Fam said it was good. I have high expectations & I'm picky with my Clam Chowder. For being in Vegas, I wasn't expecting too much. I was impressed & devoured that cup of thick clam chowder. Man, I should've ordered the bowl. But, it's okay, I knew I had to save room for the main stuff. We had a hard time choosing what to order. Ended up sharing some Peel & Eat Shrimp & splitting a Pan Roast Combo. I love shrimp & I'll eat them in any way. They were some good sized shrimp. I was eyeing someone's Cocktail Shrimp. Will need to try that next time I'm here. My first time trying a Pan Roast, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was creamy, it was tomatoey. It went well with some white rice. It was a Combination Pan Roast & I was surprised to see the amount of shrimp, crab & lobster. We got a level 3 spice level, since my friend doesn't do spicy. It was good. Hey Yelpers! I've posted about this place before, but it still has some of the best food around. The clam chowder is the best. They also serve an amazing Caesar salad (and the crab for a special treat that puts it over the top) and pan roasts (think of like a seafood stew). The restaurant is small, with about 15 counter seats around the cooking area, a few high top tables for couples, and 8-9 low tables that seat anywhere from 2-4 people. The service is usually great, but when they are really busy, you may have to wait a few minutes for refills and such. One thing that has changed is the pricing. Things have gotten a little more expensive. Also, they no longer bring you free bread. There is a small charge for that as well. The bread is a small yet tasty sourdough baguette that goes really well with the broth from the heated peel and eat shrimp. We like to come here for our seafood fix. We have been coming here for years and today we ordered a bowl of 1/2 and 1/2( half New England and half Manhattan clam chowder), and we shared a Caesar salad with crab meat. So good. The salad is easily shareable. The bowl went up a few dollars in price and seemed smaller than it used to be. But, still delicious! I love sitting at our table for two near the water fall. Sitting at the bar is fun , too. That's where you get to see the magic happening while they open oysters, create your shrimp cocktail or concoct your seafood feast. We had to ask for the warm sourdough bread this time. We were told it's because we didn't order an entree' and then they had to charge us a $1.50. A nominal fee, but, I did order wine, coffee and a Bananas Foster, like we always do. Oh well.... Chito took good care of us and he has been our server for years. Nice guy. Ask for Chito. Remember to present your players card when you pay your check so you can spend or earn your points. Restrooms are in the casino, but the nice thing is there is one right out the front of the entrance to the right. We usually park in the garage and walk over , because we like to go to the movies when we come here. The Valet is another great option and if you go ask for Hector and tell him Lara and Rob say hi! I stopped by yesterday afternoon for the signature pan roast of course and was surprised at the added menu selections Sunset offers that Palace and Santa Fe do not offer. I haven't had the banana foster since Texas Station days and was excited to order. The banana foster was served in a decent sized bowl but lacked that dessert flavor. I was hoping for that sweet semi warm goodness, and I didn't get any of that. Glad I tried but once is more than enough. The charbroiled oysters were lackluster. I had higher expectations for the oysters, but they didn't have much flavor. I ordered spice level five for my pan roast and it didn't have any spice at all. The combo pan roast was okay but I do think Palace Station has a bit more flavor overall. Henderson is very convenient but I'd rather gamble with the lines at Palace for the price and flavor! My sister ordered the cioppino zero spice level and it was pretty salty. $133 before tip my cocktails were by far the best thing i consumed. read more
