Today, I went back because I started hearing this awful squeaky/grinding sound coming from one of my front tires/brakes. Emmanuel (Owner) put my car up on the lift, took off tire, examined it, and was able to find a small rock caught between the tire and the break. He showed me the rock and where it had lodged itself. After putting everything back together, he handed me my keys and sent me on my way-no charge at all, even though he spent a good 40 minutes fixing it!!! I'm so thankful for his help, his labor, and his precious time. Most importantly thankful for his honesty. He could've easily said I needed new parts, but he didn't. This time, I didn't even have to leave the shop. ( made an appointment yesterday) He took care of my car as soon as he became available. The only thing I didn't like was actually the customers in the small waiting room on their phone playing games with sound on and talking on speaker phone. No etiquette. :( Recommend by my friend who used to get service from the previous owner of this shop who also was an honest man. I will definitely continue to come back here.

I'd been going to the now gone Pep Boys in West Seattle. After a very brief online search in Yelp I decided on Courtesy tire. By then I'd had a little time to research and knew that I didn't want it replace with a likely to break rubber hose again, but asked if they could use a metal one, which they obliged. It wasn't cheap, but I really think you get what you pay for and I like to support West Seattle businesses. I've since brought in my Honda for a wheel bearing gone bad and once again had a great experience. Can recommend!

So, this story starts off late last week of Friday November 24th in dropping off a friend. I…read morestarted seeing the seatbelt icon flickering on my dashboard. At the stop light I looked around to see if there was anything on any of the other seats in my sedan. I found nothing to set off the sensors, so either a spirit was riding with me or it was my seatbelt that needed readjusting. I undid it & then buckled it back & that seemed to help in not seeing the light on anymore. So fast forward that next Tuesday the 28th I went to auto-start my car to warm it up while I did a few more things in getting ready to leave. After taking out the trash I noticed my car was off, which happens when it's fully warmed & has been sitting idle for awhile. So I started it up again, only for it to start, but then shut off again moments later. As I went to auto-start it again, it turned on by itself, but then shut off, only to repeat the process. So I'm thinking WTF?! In hoping it's not an electrical problem. I started it manually now in which it stayed on, but now the battery light was on along with the flickering seatbelt light on the dash. So I'm watching both of these lights going on & off & feeling the car shudder like it's not getting enough (juice) & wants to die. So I'm thinking "great my battery is dying." Freaked out in wondering if the car will make it to a shop, I took it to Les Schwab first in them doing a test. Turned out after adjusting my battery connection, that "seemed" to be the problem & both lights went out & all seemed fine until leaving their lot & hitting that steep hill on 35th. All resumed as before. So desperate & stressed at this point cause there was only so much Les Schwab could do, & the dealership I usually take my car to was booked out till early next year I thought of Ben from C.A.R. - Complete Auto Repair. I talked to him over the phone in describing what was happening. He went over a few things with me on what he thought could be the issue, but also told me he was booked out most of the rest of the year going into next year as I understood he may, as are most others at this time. But he still said to bring it in & he'd see what he could do for me. Which I did literally that same day. I told him how thankful I was & that he'd get back with me by the next day or so once he figured what the issue/issues were. Sure enough that Wednesday, I had my answer that it was in fact the alternator & battery in both needing to be replaced, which the alternator was at least 10 years old & the battery close to 5 years, so it made sense. I was thankful that was all it was. It came to just over a grand in expenses but well worth it. Ben was upfront, honest, efficient, & hella fast in getting my car up & working properly later that next day. There was no way it would have made it till the next oil change in early January of next year. Highly recommend Ben & I can see why he's so busy!! Happy Holidays!

If you want to know what it feels like to have business with a genuine, knowledgeable, honest,…read morereliable auto shop, then come here. I've never had bad experiences with them. I've been going here for about 3 years now and I will continue to use this shop exclusively. If they don't already have a good hunch of what is going on, they WILL find your problem and make it right. When 3 or 4 other shops (two European "specialty") could not help me, Swedish Auto simply reassured me yep, we can take care of you. That is exactly what they did. The rest is history. Swedish Automotive is excellently communicative, accurate, and again- they are HONEST. Their techs are skilled, and are able to get your vehicle repaired or just keep you up to date on your maintenance. I've said it in other reviews- you will not find the "cheapest" service here. That being said, what you get for your money is QUALITY fixes and maintenance. I have always gotten what I've paid for and I have never felt cheated out of my money, uninformed, or upset with the end result. I do not mean to sway people away by saying it's not "cheap" work. Ultimately, Swedish is incredibly fair with their pricing considering their know-how and the price of owning a Saab to begin with. I guess what I'm trying to say is don't expect your Jiffy Lube 29.99 oil change, but rest easy that whatever work you need done will be done to spec, with the customer (you!) in mind. Make your own choice- shop with Swedish Auto or don't, but if you are here reading this review, I would suggest that you give them a call and see what they can do for you. I am very glad that I did. Went for an oil change & to look into a relatively minor check engine light. Both were resolved…read morefine. While that was going on they sent a quote for a bunch of other maintenance items, which I refused. Fine, lots of other shops do this kind of thing. But they wanted quite a lot for engine air filters, so I decided to do that myself. Today I get into my engine and discover the hose from the air filter box to the engine is completely loose. There's two of these on my car -- one was properly tight, the other was so loose it had a gap letting unfiltered air into the engine. This is the only shop that's touched my car for a couple years, and if they were recommending an air filter replacement I have to assume they actually looked at them. Easy fix, just tightening a worm clamp after swapping the filters. But my car was in this state for a few months. Reader, this silly mistake could have destroyed the car's engine, and very well may have damaged it. It does not take a lot of unfiltered debris to permanently score cylinder walls. I'd need to go get a compression test to know for certain. I came to this shop for oil changes & maintenance because I didn't want to feel the need to crawl around my car double-checking a quick-change place's work. That is apparently not the level of service they are set up to provide. For what they charge and the "vibe" they give off, this sort of thing should be on a checklist a second mechanic runs through before delivering the car. Real basic "humans are capable of making mistakes" type of controls.
