If you live in West Seattle and have a VW, Audi, Karma Gaia, etc. these guys should be your go to for general maintenance and repair. Not to bad to get in and work is done quickly. Knowledge. I have used them for run or the mill stuff like coolant flush all the way to complete dash and heater core tear down. Joe and Hans Jr. communicate well, have found other issues that they brought to my attention before they became problems, and have saved me $$ on alternative repairs and parts. They are not cheap, but they are worth the $$ if you have a car you love or that you want or need to keep running smoothly.

Review of cheap, Chinese made compressor Hans installed instead of OEM unit as promised.

Unfortunately I can't leave zero stars. Took my car in to have the air conditioner fixed. Hans replaced the compressor with a cheap, Chinese made unit that made a loud, whining sound and cooled intermittently. When I took it back, they told me the noise was from the alternator, which they replaced. The noise and was still present after this and I declined to take it back to Hans again. Two other shops were able to easily diagnose a bad compressor and I had it fixed elsewhere. Hans declined to refund any money but I did get my credit card company refund half of my payment and I filed a small claims action against them for the rest. I would avoid taking my car here for any service, there are many more honest shops in Seattle.

Fuel pooling and streaming.

Great family company. Been going there for years. Keeps my car running well, and quick fixes when things go wrong.

Once again, Montana and his staff were awesome. We had a possible major leaking issue, and after…read moresome research, the potential cost to fix was very very expensive, almost to a point where we would consider getting a new vehicle. Montana was super patient and documented our concerns, was very transparent in what he and his staff was going to do, and was incredibly prompt in keeping me up to date on the status of the vehicle. Because of his due diligence, he confirmed that there was no major major issue, but there were some things that needed to be addressed. I will always have the peace of mind that he and his staff will not charge you for unnecessary things just for the sake of making money. I 100% trust this place, and going forward this is our go-to shop for all maintenance related things.

I don't even know how to rate this review. I gave it a generous 3, but you make your own opinion!…read more I had a 2 year, 24k mile warranty for a complete transmission rebuild completed 3 years ago. Current day, 10k miles later & 3 years on the transmission, it went again. Even though the 2 year warranty expired, the low miles traveled we were able to work out a fair agreement were I pay for the cost of parts and they pay for all other cost such as labor, disposal or special fees. It took 2.5 weeks to get to the agreement. Then another 5.5 weeks of repairs only for them to tell us that the rebuilt transmission was doing the exact same thing that it was brought back in for 8 weeks ago. Another couple days and they determined what it was. And the saga continues; They sent that part out to be rebuilt. It was returned, delivered and stolen off their doorstep. They had to order & pay for another and get it installed. Here we are after 10 weeks without my truck. Truck in hand now and seems to be fine. How many stars would you have gave?

This place quoted me the best price on a transmission rebuild for my minivan. Mark, who runs the…read moreplace seems very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He let me know that the job would take about a week and it did. He called me to tell me that when they had it apart he noticed I needed a new C/V joint and charged me only for the part. He said they were in there anyway, no extra labor charge. When I picked up the van he presented the old part. 12 months later I had a check engine light come on with a code for P1739 referencing a vague transmission concern. I called up mark and he was familiar with that code. He told me to bring it in and we scheduled a time. I was in and out in under an hour. They replaced my '3rd gear electrical switch' and it's shifting smoothly where before there was a slight delay at certain times. I'm still under warranty so it was free of charge. Overall I'm happy and would come here again. It's a longer drive from my home but worth it.

That was 2 years ago and it is still working great. I have sibnce had several other repairs done and they are always resonably priced and the work is done quickly. I have never been disappointed by Mark at Seattle Transmission and do not plan to go anywhere else from now on.
