The work they did on our 24 year old car was beautiful! To match the paint of pretty good condition of our car's paint but still 24 yrs. Perfect. They do amazing work and have an incredible work ethic! We are very, very happy. The place our insurance company sent us to was triple the price. Another place our insurance company sent us to 10 years ago (both fender benders with our car parked) left a ripple we didn't notice in time. read more

Rude and sexist. They didn't provide updates on my car, then called at 3pm on Friday demanding I pick up the car immediately. They also did not provide advance notice that they only accept payments in the form of personal checks. Then they man-splained how to write a check. Based on this attitude, I frankly don't trust the repairs that they have done. read more

I was recommended this place for getting my car door fixed. All I can say is after calling to inquire about an appointment and then bringing my car by for them to look out, they are rude, rude, rude. We hit a pole in the gym parking lot and wiped out the front quarter panel of our Nissan Leaf. We first went to Rico's Auto Buff and they gave an estimate that just seemed way too high, so we tried Knockout. Roger and his crew offered an estimate for half as much, and then did a great job. We did have to wait a few weeks because so many people like Knockout that they were backed up, but that's a testament to their quality. So while we aren't hoping for future fender benders, we'll use them from this point on. read more

Knockout is the wonderful. Roger and son are very fastidious and go above and beyond every time. I have taken a number of my cars there, mostly out of pocket...and I am telling you there is a reason why there is a waitlist. And, it is worth the wait. Picked up a car today - job exceeded my expectations AND they took a toothbrush to the thing when they washed it. I was going to ask him about a decent sized blemish, get his opinion on whether it could be rubbed out or needed more attention. When I went to point it out he said "yeah, we took care of that." Roger always says "Once you drop it off, I treat it like it is mine until you pick it up." Exception rather than the rule. Way to be Knockout! read more

I can't attest to the quality of the actual work of this establishment, however I can tell you about my experience getting an estimate. A co-worker backed into my car and cracked a tail light and slightly crunched the bumper. I went to Knockout on a recommendation from my mechanic. I called Knockout and left a voice message about coming in for an estimate. No callback. I finally stopped by one morning and a guy briefly looked at the damage and printed up an estimate for over $700. I haven't had body work done in many years, so I just passed the estimate along to the co-worker. He was shocked at the cost, so he asked around. The estimate was to repair and paint the existing bumper and replace the tail light. The co-worker asked if I could get Knockout to re-estimate with just replacing the bumper because apparently the bumper is only $200 and about an hour of labor to replace. I went back to Knockout with the request. The guy rolled his eyes, tapped on his computer for a few moments and printed a new estimate. Now, it was over $900! Essentially, he had just added on the cost of a new bumper without adjusting labor or removing paint, etc. read more

Outrageously expensive, I couldn't comment on the quality of work as they never finished my car, however customer service speaks volumes to me, and there was none to speak of. A horrible experience from A-Z, I was going to have some big $ work done here if they did a good job on my little repair, and I had 2 friends that needed big jobs done on their respective vehicles. If nothing else they lost out on a chunk of cash and good word-of-mouth. That being said, after my experience I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I strongly support local businesses. So when I had a fender bender, I took my car here since this place is right in my neighborhood. Work got done in 2 weeks and priced exactly same as the insurance quote. When I inquired the owner why it was significantly higher than ALL of my other quotes and weirdly, exactly equal - to the dot - to the insurance, he got weird and plain dismissive instead of a reasonable explanation. I then noticed they forgot to replace the damaged license plate ensemble. When I asked him about that he casually turned away muttering I should go ask my insurance company. I would not recommend this place unless you have the subject matter depth as well as time and energy to enforce detailed expectations. read more

Today I took my 2004 Lexus into Knockout Auto Repair for an estimate. The situation in which my car was damaged was a little traumatic - hit and run. Roger (owner) was sympathetic and very knowledgeable. He gave me a very detailed list of what needed repairing with the final estimate. I felt he was professional and very fair. Frankly, I have been taking my vehicles to Knockout for a very long time. My husband is a car collector and very particular about anything and everything having to do with cars. Knockout has done beautiful work for us. I first started going to Knockout on the advice and recommendation of my insurance company many years ago. When friends and family ask me where to take their cars for repair I always recommend this place because we have been so satisfied with their work. They stick to what they promise and always finish on time. I highly recommend using Knockout Auto Repair - I found out today they have been in business for close to thirty years, very impressive in this economy. read more

It's a little shop but it has a great owner I took my scion here yesterday to check on some old damages I bought my car with an get a quote he gave me a really fair quote and showed me the work that would have to be done and when I showed interest on how to do the stuff he actually showed me some equipment and what they would do with it to fix that the part I'm wanting to get fixed all in all it's a nice little family shop and it's where I will take my car when I get the money to fix my car they take pride in the work and quality here read more

I don't recall how I first found Knockout Auto, as it's been several years. I can tell you, first hand, that Roger has always treated me fairly, and has always backed up his work. Is he the cheapest in town....probably not. Is he the most expensive....probably not. I can say that I have never felt ripped off. There must have been a personnel change or something since the other Reviewer went to this place in 2008. My experience with Knockout Auto Repair couldn't have been better. Less than a year ago, I got 4 bids for what I thought was a $2K job on my car. Knockout was the lowest at around $1800, plus they were a lot closer to my home than the others. The work they did was impeccable. The panels they worked on fit better and more evenly than before. Since then, I've asked Knockout to do 2 small jobs for me. Each time, they surprised me with low estimates and excellent work. For me, I can't see the point in using any other body shop in Seattle. read more

Roger was able to get me in for an insurance assesment 15 minutes after I spoke with him on the phone. Thoroughbred wanted to schedule me out 8 days. i brought my nearly new car in to this shop to have a minor front end fender bender repaired. I was given the not done today routine for the first several days and patiently waited for the return of my car. At the end of the first week that my car was there (for the minor work), I received a call from the owner of Knock Out and was told that because he decided to leave my car sitting out on a busy street in front of his shop while it was supposedly safe at his establishment that the car had been rear ended resulting in about $10,000 additional worth of damage. One week turned into 2 weeks, 2 to 3 and finally at the end of about 5 weeks, Knock Out let me know that my car was "ready"..........but, it was not cut and rub yet. The owner was going to do me a great service by suggesting that I take my car to allow it to "cure" and then bring it back for the final work to be completed. Unfortunately when I took my car I did not review it thoroughly and did not notice that two small pieces on my front bumper were missing ( a grill piece and a front cover plate). I noticed these pieces missing a few days after taking the car and noted to myself that I would need to alert the owner to these missing pieces when I returned the car for it's final cut and rub. (other than the missing pieces there was no other damage to the car so my assumption is that they were just carelessly installed and fell out, if in fact they were ever installed.) Upon bringing the car back in for it's final work I pointed this out the the owner of Knock Out and do not recall his exact response but made the erroneous assumption that he'd make it right. The final cut and rub job was not finished as we'd been lead to believe it would at the end of the day and the final repair work spilled into Saturday. When we finally were called to pick the car up we noticed that the 2 pieces were still missing and pointed this out. I assumed (again incorrectly) that they would order them and then install them at a later date. I suggested that we leave a small amount of $ out of the final bill just so we could be sure that these pieces would be ordered. At the same time I also noticed that my rear tail light was out and the owner took the car back into his shop locking up and threatening to keep the car until it was paid for in full (despite the incomplete job). The result was a call to the police so that i could ensure that they would not keep my car. Ultimately after some unfriendly deliberation, I ended up paying in full, took the incomplete project and now am left with finishing the work myself. (it is too minor to take any further recourse). Apparently Knock Out Auto Repair is not much into customer service. I hope not to need this type of service in the future but if I do, I will be certain to avoid this business. read more

I took my classic Audi to Knockout on the recommendation of a friend who had good work done there in the past. Roger was easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and clearly a motoring enthusiast. He did a fantastic job of painting a fender that I'd replaced long ago and matching the new paint to the original. I've had this panel repainted four times over the years because nobody ever got it right. This time it matches perfectly with the original factory red on the rest of the car! Workmanship, preparation, cleanup, and time were all spot-on. Cost was exactly as estimated. I will definitely do business with him again on my other cars. read more
