Our '84 Mercedes convertible and our '64 Nova wagon have been there oftens ... seems like we'd maybe get some transmission work done and then some other issue would crop up. We've always been happy with the work we had done - and when it was done it was done RIGHT ... didn't have to go back for 'tweaks' or more work. Mike - at the desk - is a great asset; he always had time to discuss what needed doing, and was great at explaining it to someone whose car-work experience was limited to one oil change I did on the Nova. It's a GREAT place to take a vehicle for service and repair. And they even have an outside fenced area for cars that have to stay for an overnight ... or perhaps a MONTH of overnight :D as my Nova did not too long ago while they searched for and ordered parts, and tried to figure out the 'tricks' my husband had used to do things like have the passenger door on that '64 wagon unlock when the driver's door was unlocked ... a really unusual feature for that car but VERY handy. Bremerton Transmission is where we always took our cars for service and repairs, and will continue to be for me now that my husband is gone. Sure glad we found this place all those years ago!! When I called to check on a car listed on their website, Robert answered and he was friendly and provided all the details I asked for. Upon getting there he greeted me pleasantly and showed me the car and let me take it out for a spin. I liked the car after my test drive and he and the owner Hamid asked me what it would to take to move forward. I was pretty direct and asked for a reduced price (reasonable price and did not lowball). They were motivated to make the sale and we quickly settled on a price that worked for both of us. Once that was done, they also let me take it to a mechanic of my choice to get a professional opinion. There were minor concerns raised by the mechanic and Hamid agreed to a 30 day guarantee if the issue arose. Now 2 months later the car runs perfect. This was my first time buying a used car and I went a few shops before eventually getting a car from Robert and Hamid. I could not be more satisfied. They were not the "used car salesmen" we all have in mind. They were friendly, not pushy and made for a great transaction. I was super pleased and will go to them again if I am u am in the market for a used car again. I highly recommend them. When buying used a car, keep in mind you are buying a "used car". Don't expect it to be perfect and without minor issues. So budget for minor additional expenses and temper your expectations. And shop at a trustworthy place like Integrity Auto.

I waited outside on the curb because waiting inside would have given me a migraine. This service was not even a cheaper than average. I still paid what I would pay at the reputable dealership, but the technician did not tighten the oil filter and left the dipstick open, causing my car leaked oil for the past few months. The smell was noxious and it should never have happened. I only found this out after bringing it to another servicer because of the terrible smell. I would not recommend for quality or affordable work. Speed seems to be the only priority here and not worth the trade offs to quality.

It was this 1990 Mercedes that he parked in his carport since 2019. This was the first luxury car that he bought when he first moved to the U.S. more than 20 years ago. My dad was a mechanic in Thailand. He also used to sell luxury cars like this to many politicians in Thailand after he graduated from law school. He loved cars and he knew how special 1990 Mercedes is. I trusted my dad's judgment about cars so I know that this 1990 Mercedes must be an amazing car. It was so difficult for me to find a mechanic in nears my house who would help me restore my dad's car. Then someone told me about Schmitt Automotive. Frank and Mark helped me restore this car. They didn't just help me fix the car so it can drive again. Frank helped me restore the car to the point that it's no longer leaking in the trunk, the radio that didn't work now is working great. It's amazing beyond amazing. Frank took care of this car as if it was his own car. It's rare to find a mechanic who is kind, honest and meticulous like Frank. It was very easy to communicate with Mark to get updates and etc during the process. I finally drove this 1990 Mercedes yesterday for the first time after Frank and Mark helped me fix it. I was so impressed how amazing it is to drive this car. I test drive the newer luxury cars earlier this year and now I own 2 different cars (one is an EV). Nothing is compared to driving this 1990 Mercedes that Frank and Mark helped me restore. I feel so grateful for the team at Schmitt Automotive!

After doing a lot of research online about the issue and getting a diagnostics test at Midas, we were referred to come to Mathewson's for the electric work. As it turned out, we needed the throttle body replaced. The guys at Mathewson were very knowledgeable about a recall for the throttle body switch, in turn we needed to replace the entire throttle body which is a up to date part. Anyhow, yes a more expensive part but it has fixed the electrical problem. We have not had any issues since. They were easy to get an appointment with our work schedule and in a timely manner where we did not need to leave our vehicle over night. The only issue was a little mis-communication when we went to pay the bill. We were quoted one amount and then were charged for an oil change we never asked to have. The guys were super nice about the mishap and offered to take it off of the charged amount on our credit card, or give us a free oil change later. They happily took the amount off of the charge for the oil change. We definitely plan on getting future oil changes with them for one, it was a better price then Jiffy Lube and two, they seem trustworthy and knowledgeable. After our visit back in May, I believe Mathewson's definitely gets 5 stars for the service done on our vehicle. We would recommend this place to anyone who wants honest and reliable work done.
