Stopped here for a quick brunch before an event in Alameda. There was a line of about 10 people but it moved quick, the staff is definitely hustling when it's busy! I had an iced Mexican mocha that was delicious, definitely recommend. For food I got the chicken and pesto sandwich, which was tasty. I did think the chicken was a bit bland, and could have used more pesto. Also the sandwich was so hot and the parchment paper seemed to have melted a bit into it, so had to dig some of that out. Overall a solid option if you're lucky for a quick breakfast or lunch.

food is yummy and the staff is always very nice. it's popular with locals so there's usually a little line, but it moves quick and my order comes pretty fast. would recommend to try. added a pic of chorizo breakfast burrito i get sometimes, i very much enjoy it and it's hefty

Casual dine in cafe with indoor and very limited outdoor seating. The ambiance is very serene yet vibrant; I love the calming energy and vibes here. I had tried the caramel latte, chai tea latte and some pastries, one of the best that I've had. I can't speak for the other items as I've not tried it yet but I look forward to next time. Aside from food and drinks, they have a small selection of WesCafe merchandise shirts on the side wall; there are other candles, tea, mugs and other little trinkets for sale. The staff are very kind and polite; they go above and beyond to make sure that your order is right. It's obvious that they take pride in what they do. I love their positive attitude and energy. I am looking forward to trying something new on their menu, next time around!

Walt from Walt's Adventures currently adventuring in Alameda, California and I find myself at the Wescafe. This eatery has street parking and both indoor and outdoor back patio seating. Our party ordered and chose our experience to be stationed in the back for it was covered and serene. Their menu items were not extensive but sufficient for too many choices can be exhausting. Their food was quite good. I would highly recommend this restaurant for their primary focus was relaxation. Both their Inside our outside environments had a sense of tranquility. 4 of 5 for their timing was not in sync during our visit. Each of our selections arrived at different times and beverages were purchased individually. If you're looking for an alternative to the usual but just a place away from the hustle of the city then look no further than Wescafe.

Casual dine-in café with outdoor seating. You place your order at the counter, and the staff brings the food to your table. The team is friendly and welcoming. My breakfast was delicious, and I loved the latte art on my coffee. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable--I really liked spending time there with friends.

Great cappuccino this morning, the photo is of my second one as I drank the first one before I thought to take a photo. Lovely cafe, with a nice vibe inside and out. Nice people work there, too!

Cute outdoor patio -tranquil with the water fountain. Plenty of seating indoors and out front also . Staff are super sweet! Plenty of street parking and a paid lot for $1/hour in the back of the restaurant. Mushroom quiche was bomb! Quiche . Salad. Turkey sausage -approx $14.00. Lots of variety for breakfast and lunch on the menu! Strong WiFi..plenty of ppl working on laptops and a handful here just to enjoy. There's also a tv at the bar for sports / news fans.

I live walking distance to wescafe for 15yrs, I decided to give it a try one morning for breakfast. I randomly search where to eat for breakfast, I wanna try something new. No regrets! The food was excellent. Fresh and tasty. The ambiance is really nice, clean and classic vibe. The service was so quick. We're there for total of 40mins . Definitely will go back.

WesCafe in Alameda is an excellent place to grab breakfast and lunch. This yummy Alameda staple is great to get food and yummy pastries on the go or if you're pressed for time. You order your food at the counter and then they bring the food to you. They have a lovely patio outside to enjoy when the weather is nice. Their WiFi is strong so you can get some work done if you need to. This is my go to location when I'm really hungry because their chorizo hash breakfast is so yummy, filling and hits the spot! Their breakfast burritos and coffee are legendary! They also sell beer and wine. Another great aspect of this sweet cafe is that they sell artisan crafts from local artists so you can shop for items if you need to buy a gift for someone or treat yourself. Did I mention they are a family owned Mexican American restaurant and as a spunky Chicana I love to support my people and they know how to cook EVERYTHING SO WELL! Check them out next time you're in Alameda on the West Side near the Webster Tube! 10/10 would recommend!

Domenicos Italian Deli - Large baked turkey cheddar with sprouts on Dutch crunch

I ordered a tuna sandwich with everything on Dutch crunch bread, along with some Harvest Cheddar SunChips and a Strawberry Kiwi Snapple. Let me tell you--the sandwich was excellent. The tuna tasted fresh, the lettuce and tomatoes were crisp, and that Dutch crunch bread brought it all together. Every bite was on point. Easily one of the best deli sandwiches I've had, especially from an independently owned spot. The place itself has a great old-school vibe. Lots of photos on the walls and even some Raiders memorabilia, which gives it a real local feel. When I got there, there were a few people ahead of me, so I waited about 10-15 minutes, but it was worth it. You can tell they're making everything fresh. There were about 4-5 people working behind the counter, and even though they were busy, they were still friendly, engaging, and interacting with customers, which I liked. The lady at the register was also very nice and welcoming. They've got a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from. I've tried a few over the years, but next time I might go for something like the Chicago-style meatball sandwich. If you're in Alameda on Webster Street and want a fresh, high-quality sandwich, this is the spot. Perfect for grabbing something to go and heading over to the park or the beach on a nice day. Two thumbs up from me.

However, don't let that stop you from trying the location. I shared a Banh mi with a friend. I think I enjoyed it more than she did. It was spicy. Everyone at our table enjoyed the fries; they were perfect, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The sandwich was generous; we both had enough to eat. The first time I went with my toddler and I was in a wheelchair after ankle surgery. We ordered food, the cashier said I would get a text, and we picked a table. 49 minutes later I wheeled up and asked if our grilled cheese, popcorn chicken, and tater tots would be ready soon. The cashier was on his phone and said "did you even check your messages? That order's been ready for a while now." I look inside and it's been shoved to the side. A nice lady handed me the tray and the grilled cheese is cold. I told the cashier and he just shrugged. Then I'm in the wheelchair with the tray on my lap, but I can't wheel and carry a tray. I asked the cashier for help. Since I'm interrupting him from his cell phone again, he makes a big deal of sighing then asking the lady inside to help me. The chicken was mostly breading. Fries didn't seem salted. I gave the cold grilled cheese to my dogs when I got home. Every time we have gone since then, there are a ton of kids running around. But there isn't a kids menu. I don't want to buy a 5-year-old crummy chicken or an overpriced burger. Now we leave and grab sushi then come back. The vast majority of my friends are disappointed in Southie as well. Park Station, please get a better food partner!

Yes, it did come with extra meat, but I wasn't expecting it to be so huge! I can't believe this place is only 16 years old. You walk in, and it smells like an old time italian deli. The italian cookies, pickled olives, and fruitcakes brought back my memories of living in San Francisco's North Beach as a child. I was told all the bread is fresh, and they close when the bread runs out (EOB). Customer service was great. I was there at around 1pm, and I think the lunch rush just ended. The lady who served me said her husband was away on a break. I was able to sample their house made focaccia bread, and it was delicious. I took my sandwich to go, but they have tables if you want to eat there. It's called an italian market, but it's more like a deli that sells italian items. Now, the reason why I didn't try this place sooner, is because of the short hours. As of Jan 2026 the hours are 10:30-3pm or when the bread runs out M-F. On Saturday- 11:00- EOB, and closed on Sunday. Santoro's is in Alameda's West End. It's only two blocks west of Webster St, and walking distance from several schools. Located at Santa Clara & 5th St, only street parking is available. https://www.santorosalameda.com/ If you're in the area, come try this place.
