Came here after visiting the blood sucking dept as I had been fasting. Its in the older area of Alameda which probably was more happening when the Navy was still there. Its a quaint place that you can tell is a gathering spot for the retirees. Have a decent menu. I settled on the hungry man 1. Came with two Swedish pancakes (ie crepes) eggs and bacon or sausage. The crepes came out with some jam on the side. I thought it was strawberry and was pleasantly surprised it was lingon berry jam. The pancakes could have been cooked at little more and the color was pale, may the pan need to be a bit hotter. Service was fine, not coming over every 5 mins asking how's the food etc. That alone with increase my tip. Let me enjoy my food. Another plus they have fresh grapefruit. If you juice separates from the pulp, you know its now Tropicana or some other store bought. Nice you want a quiet atmosphere abandoned local feeling place.

The food here was extremely disappointing. I order a standard BLT, and received soggy bread covered in mayo, burnt bacon that immediately tasted bad, alongside non seasonal fruit that tasted sour and old. I was very disappointed. If you want quality food don't go here. It's a waste of money! Go to Southshore Cafe instead!!

Martis scramble with potatoe salad is divine! I also had their crunchy bacon on the side ! so delicious!

Let's say - yes. I like it. The food is good and the staff is very nice. It's a cute little place tucked away in alameda.. a good menu and plenty of room for you and your family. Just say yes.

Very cute place, perfect for breakfast. My friend and I split the Stockholm Swedish pancake and the equivalent of the Monte Cristo sandwich. So delicious! And it was so satisfying to be able to try two different items. Good coffee, fast and efficient service. Love this place and will definitely be back!!

Home style breakfast in a cozy cafe offering both American and Mexican breakfasts! Service was fast and incredibly friendly. It felt like I was going over to a family member's house for breakfast. I'd highly recommend Marti's Scramble for anyone wanting a hearty breakfast! The portion was large and it was packed with fresh tasting ingredients. The potatoes were a home run for me as well. I look forward to coming back!

I always love coming here as it is very hometown and plain old generous servings of food and good coffee and service. They have a menu of different types of breakfasts choices. However this is the place for Swedish pancakes. I always order the # 1 Hungry Swede to include 2 Swedish pancakes, 2 eggs, choice of sausage or crispy bacon. The ambiance is quite enough to have a decent conversation with yelling. Service is friendly. They also had freshly baked Snickerdoodle cookies at the cash register, but too full to get any this time.

My partner and I were impressed with Marti's place.. a downhome atmosphere... cute eclectic art on the wall, very friendly people especially Elena, and Alfredo the bus boy. Elena recommended her favorite dish from the menu is the chilaquiles. Alfredo was trying to explain to us how it is made. I definitely agree. Now we know how one of their dishes is made with fresh fried tortillas and homemade green sauce. We were grateful that Alfredo shared how they made Chilaquiles! Thank you Elena and alfredo... again excellent service...

Another patron who was eating flagged down wait staff and asked if they could help them with their Samsung phone which they did. That is what made this place so special. The people working there genuinely cared to be of service. Food highlights: juice was fresh and delicious. Would order this again. Chilaquiles plate tasted fresh and my over medium eggs were cooked correctly. Pancakes were cool; the warmed up syrup was a nice touch. 5 stars because I would return here to eat again. And the service was above and beyond.

    Swedish pancakes

I always enjoy Marti's place. It's a place I've eaten breakfast alone or with friends/family. The staff has been attentive on every occasion. It feels familial and comfortable. I order the Swedish pancakes each time. I ask for extra lingonberry jam.

    Club sandwich is still amazing.

I had a day planned that included cleaning the garage, so I figured a big breakfast would be good. I walked in just before 9am, and the place was empty. A waitress greeted me and told me to sit anywhere. It's actually hard to pick a table when the place is empty. Cape 7 has a fairly large dining room. It used to be a Sizzler Restaurant. Before Cape 7, it was "Shell Shock." Cape 7 never changed the Shell Shock decor, so it has a nautical theme. A pirate stands guard by the restrooms. So I sat at a booth by the window. I sat back and the bench seat was broken. A gentleman raced over and switched the bench seats. Wow, you have to be careful when you sit down at Cape 7. I ordered a Denver Omelette w/ hash browns, a side of Pancakes, and Coffee. It took about 10-min for my food to come. By 9am more customers came in. After my food arrived, I didn't see a waitress or waiter for 20-mins. Then the owner arrived, and a waitress checked on my table every 5 mins. The Denver Omelette was made with 4 eggs. The serving size was pretty large. The two pancakes were a bit dry. I needed more butter and syrup. Instead, I used alot of jams (that were on the table). The food was okay, I might come back for breakfast again. Off street parking lot in back.

The French toast combo was basic. The sausage links were under cooked, the over medium eggs were more over easy and the French toast took too long. Service was quiet but attentive, which made the whole experience feel effortless. The food was the real star. We started with the Brussels sprouts (light, crispy, and perfectly cooked), calamari (well‑seasoned and not heavy at all), and warm biscuits with whipped honey butter--so good. The clam chowder stole the show for us: poured tableside, rich but not heavy, and full of flavor. For entrées, the seafood pasta was fantastic, the lobster rigatoni was delicious (just wished for a bit more lobster), the ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the lamb--while tasty--could've used a touch more time. Overall, this place is an easy 5 stars. Beautiful atmosphere, great service, and memorable food. I'll definitely be back to try the dishes we couldn't get to.

This place is great for any meal of the day, and as a late-night spot. When we come for brunch, I'll usually go with the Greek veggie omelette. When in the mood for pizza, their veggie pizza is honestly one of the best ones I've had - loaded with fresh veggies and in a pesto sauce - noms. The place was pretty busy when I arrived, which is always a good sign. I ordered the French toast special, which comes with three pieces of French toast, eggs, and a side of meat. Since I don't eat pork and they didn't have turkey bacon available that day, I ended up getting a piece of chicken with it and a large coffee. The coffee was excellent--a nice big diner-style cup and really good quality. You can tell why people come here regularly just for coffee. The French toast was really good and came topped with strawberries and raspberries, which I wasn't expecting but was a nice touch. The eggs were fresh, and the chicken was flavorful--I added a little Tapatío and it hit the spot. The atmosphere was great too: very clean, welcoming, and the staff were friendly and engaging. The only two small drawbacks for me were: * The portion size felt a little small. I would have loved maybe a couple more pieces of French toast or a slightly bigger portion overall. * There didn't seem to be table-side coffee refills. It looked like if you wanted another cup you had to go back to the counter and order again. Aside from those minor things, the overall experience was very good. I'd give it about a 9 out of 10. I'll definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu--maybe an omelet next time. The menu has something for everyone: Breakfast plates, bagels and breakfast sandwiches, omelettes, frittatas, burgers, sandwiches, and salads. They have an extensive menu of espresso drinks, so if you like coffee, this is your place. Also, fresh squeezed juices and smoothies, wine, and beer.
