Service was quiet but attentive, which made the whole experience feel effortless. The food was the real star. We started with the Brussels sprouts (light, crispy, and perfectly cooked), calamari (well‑seasoned and not heavy at all), and warm biscuits with whipped honey butter--so good. The clam chowder stole the show for us: poured tableside, rich but not heavy, and full of flavor. For entrées, the seafood pasta was fantastic, the lobster rigatoni was delicious (just wished for a bit more lobster), the ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the lamb--while tasty--could've used a touch more time. $15 cheese biscuit dish is three quarter sized biscuits. Literally one bite. So we got three bites for $15. That was ridiculous. They were good though. Yummy three bites and the butter they served with it was remarkable. The Parmesan tempura Brussels sprouts. Fabulous idea and the taste of the fried part was great. However, under the fry was a very unseasoned and, what appeared to be, a boiled Brussels sprout. It was not a good combo. I ended up stripping the Brussels and just eating the fried part. The pesto gnocchi was good. I would get that again. I would be reluctant to return. I will say the space is nice and our server was kind and attentive. I had incredible service the first time I ate here! Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The food was good but overpriced for what it was, especially the appetizers. I did like that the kitchen could easily accommodate a vegetarian or vegan and make a custom dish. The drinks were tasty but not special enough or tasty enough to justify $18 for a cocktail. My pomegranate margarita tasted like a normal margarita. I wish the flavors were more pronounced and also wish they had a happy hour menu! I went to Ceron with a group of people on a Tuesday night. I got there a little early and had the bar to myself. I didn't try a drink off their menu because I saw a bottle of rhubarb and strawberry gin on the shelf so I asked the bartender to make me a martini from that gin. It was strong, but delightful to drink. If you need liquid courage, that may be a good one to go to. Once my friends arrived we were promptly seated (we did have a reservation, but probably didn't need one that day). We ordered a few dishes. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the duck dish was cooked. I would definitely order again. Another friend ordered the lamb chops and they looked divine. Celebrated my 35th birthday dinner here and I enjoyed every bit of it. My boyfriend actually found this place and some of our friends lived nearby so it was very convenient. This restaurant had a really good ambiance. I really like the semi dark ambiance to it with nice little lamps on the table. The service here was amazing. From when we arrived until we left. We were given champagne to cheers with our friends compliments of the restaurant. Shout out to our server MIGUEL he was amazing. Gave us enough time to looked through the menu and explained the menu in detail to us. All the servers were very attentive and made sure they cleared our table accordingly. We ordered a couple of appetizers. The sliders, oysters and calamari. All the appetizers was really good. The calamari was cooked perfectly, the oysters were fresh and had different sauces included. The wagyu sliders was actually really good and the quality of meat was on point. For our entree, I got the rack of lamb, my boyfriend and his friend got the NY steak and his girlfriend got the duck. I'm not even sure where to begin. We finished all the food. My rack of lamb was seasoned well and cooked well. It was definitely cooked to my liking. My boyfriend and his friend also enjoyed their NY steak which I also tasted and I really enjoyed it because it was also cooked well and it was very tasty. The butter it came with as well as the veggies. Not everyone likes lamb so the NY would be my next recommendation for steaks. What I was surprised with was the duck breast. We all tried our friends food and we almost finished her plate. I have never had duck and I'm glad I tried it here cause it was really good. It didn't taste bad at all. It was seasoned very well. Party of 3 for bday lunch. Ordered the wedge salad, crab cakes for starters . For mains, we ordered the 10oz ribeye and seafood fettuccine. For dessert we had the strawberry shortcake and tartfetto. The food was mostly delicious. Seafood fettuccine was good and creamy, but a little too thick n creamy. The ribeye was delicious, perfectly cooked with delicious mash potatoes and mushrooms. The starters were also perfectly prepared and tasty. Lastly, we ordered Bloody Marys and mimosa. The Bloody Mary was ok as the juice itself was not too complex in flavors, it tasted salty, mimosa was good. Ambience was nice , very spacious and comfortable space. I should have looked at the pictures of it per usual but I didn't, my fault. My half of the bill was $80 and I was not satisfied, still hungry. Also, the service was slow on a Sunday afternoon. I would literally come back just to order these two menu items. It's a really nice vibe and makes you feel like you're somewhere else. The staff is super helpful and professional. It's like they were trained by the best! The way plates were set and presented to they way they poured glasses of wine, you can tell they care about the craft and technique! Now the food! Phenomenal! The crab cakes were cooked to perfection and weren't cold on the inside at all. They had a nice crumbly texture to them and they melted in your mouth. Came in for my aunts birthday and everything was a 10/10. From the atmosphere to the service, and especially the food. They actually have a parking lot which I didn't realize at first because I pulled into the front, and thought there was only street parking. So don't stress yourself, just go to the parking lot in the back...Appetizer wise we had the crab cakes and the buttermilk chive biscuits. The only bad thing I have to say about both is I wish it came with more on the plate. Portions are small so you should have plenty of room for dinner but my goodness they were delicious. Didn't want it to end. For entrees my husband ordered the penne bolognese. Amazing flavors and cooked to perfection. I got the rib eye, medium rare. It was perfectly cooked and juicy. For brunch I got: Lobster Benedict: $32 (5/5) The lobster tail was cooked perfectly smothered with creamy hollandaise sauce on top of sliced avocado and toasted English muffin. We dined here at 5pm on 07/08/2025 with a party of 8 people. This restaurant has plenty of seating, and a convenient free parking lot in the rear. We had a 5 star experience. The service was extremely attentive during the many hours that we took over there space. The food was amazing and delicious. Our table shared a few appetizers including the Calamari, Tuna Tartare and the tempura brussel sprouts. All of those were amazing. For my entree, I had the Filet Mignon Tortellini, which had a delicious mushroom marsala sauce. I shared a tres leches cake for dessert. To be honest, this was my last favorite item, as it was not as "milk forward" as many other tres leches cakes I have had. The menu is creative and interesting so plenty of items to try. Options for brunch: eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, simple breakfast with coffee cake and sandwiches. I opted for the French dip sandwich which was presented well and enjoyed the accompanying potato salad. Though good I probably wouldn't order again and try a seafood dish . Friends enjoyed their dishes and what really finished off the meal was the chocolate silk dessert. Light chocolate mousse with a chocolate-crust with varying textures of chocolate gelato, candied hazelnut and chocolate tuile. Our server/host was the Owner/Executive Chef Juan Jaquez - very welcoming, engaging, and mentioned he formerly was head chef at Paradiso, San Leandro for 15 years....i knew the food was different after the pandemic and time he left to open Ceron! I really enjoyed the food when he was there and will have to return to Ceron to try their dinner service. Service was efficient and attentive even after more people arrived. Place is a great venue for a special occasion and meet up with friends. I'd definitely return to try some of their appetizers and eyeing the Berkshire Pork chop. Something that is important to me in a restaurant is not just the quality of the food, but also the service. I'm disappointed to say that there is much improvement on both of those levels. I hate to say this, but the food was terrible. It did not look like the photos that are posted online at all. As well as it was incredibly greasy. The host was very unprofessional when checking us into our reservation and when showing us to our table. Our server did the best that he could, however, it couldn't make up for the bad food. I do not get impressed easily, but every dish our party ordered exceeded my expectations. I also loved the restaurant's ambiance. From the moment we walked in, it felt both cozy and classy. We ordered the crab cakes, ribeye, penne bolognese, seafood fettuccine, Ceron chicken breast, and duck breast. Every dish exceeded expectations in both flavor and quality. By the end of the meal, every plate was completely finished, which rarely happens for us. Of course, we had to try dessert and it lived up to the same high standard. We sampled the banoffee tart, Paris Brest, vanilla bean crème brûlée, and tiramisu. Each one was excellent and the presentation was just as impressive as the taste. I only wish I had taken more photos! To top it all off, our server was wonderful -- attentive and very helpful with recommendations and accommodations. We did splitsy between my wife and I, the pork scallopini and the seafood fettuccine, also bomb. My favorite was def the fettuccine, not heavy and had great flavor. The restaurant itself is really fancy and spacious, definitely one of the nicer looking restaurants in Alameda. Now to the menu. We ordered duck liver, Brussels sprouts, calamari grotto, and bone marrow & beef tartare for appetizers, and 2 tomahawks and a duck breast for entrees. Duck Liver 2/5: I really wanted to like this, but the jam was overpowering and I can only taste sweet. it did have a beautiful presentation though. Brussels sprouts 4/5: I have never had fried Brussels sprouts and they were pretty good. It was crunchy but not too doughy. Calamari Fritto 3/5: pretty average, nothing too exciting. Bone Marrow & Beef tartare 3/5: pretty big bone marrow. Wish the bread was better toasted. The tartare could use a bit more salt. Tomahawk 3/5: pretty average. Duck breast 4/5: I was pleasantly surprised with this entree. Duck was very tender and flavorful. It paired wonderfully with the mushroom. LOVED the fried mushroom, perfect breading! Anyways Ceron Kitchen looks good both outside and inside. Nice size parking lot. Outdoor dining and indoor dining available. We dined inside. My sister smartly made reservations ahead of time. Thank goodness because by the time we left they were busy busy busy! Our party of about 13 were the first ones at the restauarant. The place looked terrific!! So clean and charming!! I believe their menu is constantly changing so some of the food that I mention may not be available when you are here. Most everything I tried, though, tasted really good!! This included my drink which came in a pig shaped glass. Very cool!! My favorite appetizers were the Buttermilk Chive Biscuits, the Calamari Fritto, and the American Wagyu Beef Sliders!! My entree choice was the Niman Ranch Burger. It was a good 4 star burger. My expectations may have been too high. I expected the burger to taste better than my favorite hometown burger spot, but Ceron Kitchen's fell short of that. Still good though! I ordered the seafood fettuccine and had about half of my friend's ribeye steak. I typically don't order steak bc I'm partial to my own steaks, but their ribeye was perfect. Slightly crispy crunchy crust and perfect texture for the rest. Flavored lightly enough to let the beef's flavor shine through, but with enough seasoning so that is not too plain. My pasta was amazing...the prawns and scallops were huge and seared perfect . White wine cream sauce was perfect.... Creamy but not too heavy. Ceron Kitchen was great. The food was tasty! The menu was appetizing and had plenty to offer. As my friend and I reviewed the menu, there were several entrees that interested us, but we only had the Brussel sprouts, the fried chicken and waffles, and gnocchi. I'm not a gnocchi fan but my friend loved it! The chicken and waffles with spicy syrup was tasty and perfect for my mood. The Brussels were good but they were fried and the menu didn't state that, so I think they need to clarify the cooking style. I expected roasted Brussels. They were tasty but I preferred roasted and had I known, I would've gotten a different appetizer. Nonetheless, everything was good. The ambiance was nice! Very airy, clean and bright. Service: five stars! We had Sky, and she was really helpful with great personality. FYI: I tried them out on a random weekday at brunch time so it was very light and empty.
