I like to get the berry smoothie it's hella good. It's tucked off like hidden spot but the food is pretty good

I never want to base foods without sauces. But I ordered a breakfast burrito, and it was quite bland. TBH you have to put the salsa on this burrito to save it. I even put avocado on it. But even with the avo, it was so bland. The BACON even couldn't save it. I think it was just too much potato, just made it so mouth smacky. Is that a terminology that makes sense to you? The salsa definitely made the burrito more tolerable. I'm not saying that it was a bad burrito. I've definitely had MANY breakfast burritos that were WAY worse than this one. But it was just, meh. The service was great though. I placed my order over the phone, walked down the street and picked it up. The burrito was still really hot when I got back to my desk to shovel it into my mouth lol But anyway. Get the breakfast burrito, but make sure you have the salsa to go with it. This place was just ok for me. I wanted breakfast and this place had that. The three stars are for the fact that they got my order wrong and didnt bother to even tell me at the time I placed my order that they were out of an item and instead of telling me, they replaced it with whatever else they had. Not cool, guys. Their descriptions on the menu do not match their product. Whatever they threw together for my pick up order wasn't bad, just not what I paid for. Its a pass for me. read more

Came here for sit down breakfast cafe dining amidst taco trucks and was not disappointed. The prices are about the same, if not less, than the nearby taco trucks, and while the wait may have been longer, at least we waited indoors rather than outdoors. When we walked into the restaurant the owner herself was the one that took our and other customers' orders. She was a kind person and patient at the same time. She would deliver the food that was made fresh from the kitchen to our table as fast as she can. The chefs are fast workers that are responsible for making the food as fast as humanly possible. We ordered Machaca con Huevos which has scrambled eggs with spicy shredded beef, onions, pepper served with rice, beans, and tortillas. The rice has a flavorful taste.The beef and egg blend beautifully. We also ordered french fries, which were spongy and brownish when you bit into them. Because the ketchup is sweeter, I prefer it. The tomato and leaf are fresh, and the chicken sandwich tastes excellent. The torta that we tasted was really good. It had a nice texture that was soft but hard at the same time. It was chewy but easy to digest. It had a nice mixed but harmonized taste that's out of this world. read more

These are the worst chips I have ever tasted. They taste like whole wheat and definitely prepackaged. The agua fresca was done in the moment which means too much foam (half the glass was just foam) The tacos al pastor looked like a purée. Flavor ok Edit: gave it a second shot and had to decrease rating further had the Cuban gotta and the meat looks like it was cooked in 1992. I can't bite into it and had to remove it. read more

This is a small family owned restaurant. The pricing is a bit high based on portions. This is why I gave it a 3 and not a 4. The food was also okay.. (ordered chilaquiles) it wasn't omg I want to go back good but it wasn't terrible either. I do recommend the banana shake that was pretty yummy, the strawberry shake isn't super sweet so that will be based on your taste but I wouldn't recommend. Give it a try if you want Mexican food but if you're there an you order pancakes or French toast.. maybe try somewhere else... The place is clean, not too loud, and the restrooms are kept clean. If you drive early in the morning you'll find the Lady with Champurado and Tamales outside. I got the chicken Tamsle with green salsa on top and Champurado was good, not too heavy / thick. Just be patient with finding parking. I ordered the Torta de Lomo last week and it was too dry for my taste buds. I'll try something else next time. There is a big menu to chose from. Breakfast , pancakes, Italian meals and Mexican food. Also have natural juices. The lady that attended me was nice and seemed like a new establishment. See you next time. read more

Hornitos is on the same block as a clinic I intern in and it's pretty much my default location when I need to buy lunch. Their portions are large and relatively cheap. The food is good but not amazing. I would suggest the vegetable quesadilla and try to share with someone because half of it makes me overly stuffed, glutton status. read more

I've been coming to this place for years and it has always been good. I'm the type of cat that thinks price to flavor to portion value. Low to decent prices, very good food, and a lot of portions. I showed some cousins from out of town this place and truthfully they weren't in love with outside feel, but they went in and loved the food. Although they try to be all things to all people, serving American, Italian, and other fare, I'm just rating them based on what we had that day, which was enchiladas, rice, beans, and plantain. The food is a solid value, and tasty. It's not designer mexican food, but good, basic fare that will fill you up and keep you going.
