    Lavender Latte
    Kim B.

I arrived around 8:30am on a Saturday so there was plenty of street parking (free before 9am), and I was seated right away. I ordered a large lavender latte (it's very heavy on the lavender syrup, and delicious). I also order The Huevos Rancheros (egg fried card and no sour cream). It was...okay. The corn tortillas are not fried, which is what I was expecting as I'm used to this dish with the crunch of fried tortilla (or tortilla chips). That really through me off, and while eating it, there wasn't much seasoning. Service was great as well. I do really like the energy of this restaurant, so I will come back and try their beignets, French toast and/or pancakes.

the unfortunate truth is that while this is definitely a cafe that requires patience , it is worth the wait. i've been here twice and loved my food and experience both times! don't miss out

I came here for a Sunday brunch with my two beloved college friends and had a lovely time. There was very little wait to be seated, but the waitstaff were quite busy, which was understandable. Our personal server was incredibly friendly (small petite Asian woman, I apologize for not remembering your name!!) and such a pleasure to speak to. I ordered the croque monsieur with the potato salad - I didn't end up using the sauce because the cheese was heavy enough, but it was delightfully greasy and rich. The potato salad was light and balanced it out wonderfully. I also had a bite of my friend's omelette, which was super tasty. We also ordered the beignets - the dough was a wonderful texture, and the chocolate ganache on the side was an excellent addition. Overall, would love to come back and try their other dishes sometime!! As a side note, the wall art was adorable, except for this for some reason, terrifying painting of a child on a merry go round.

Came here on a quiet Friday morning - and we really enjoyed our time here. We ordered huevos rancheros, the monte cristo and a half order of beignets (which is enough to share for 3 people). Food was fresh, and had delicious flavors! For all my coffee lovers - they have a bottomless $5 coffee and it was a nice touch. The ambience, environment and staff were all friendly, sweet and patient. Definitely our new go to brunch spot in Alameda! Can't believe we haven't gone here before.

Overview: The BEST Chai Latte I've had! Cute café on Bay Farm, and I have and definitley will continue to be coming back! ---- We came on a Saturday morning a little before 10:30am and were immediately seated. It was a clear, sunny day and while there is a canopy and umbrellas, our table was unfortunately inbetween umbrellas. Our table was completely in the sun and it got very hot, very fast. The seating is outdoors with canopies, umbrellas, and clear, plastic walls. It was a nice day, but beware, as it can get very hot especially if seated in the sun when the plastic walls magnify the heat. Our only complaints was that there was stuff in my boyfriend's water and he was given a dirty plate. Also tips are supposed to be calculated based on pre-tax totals but their suggested tip options were all calculated after taxes. Aside from those small points everything was great. Since my first time there, I have been back with my friends and our server recognized me haha. Service was great and so was the food, and of course so was the Chai Latte. We came on a Monday morning around 10:30am and there was no crowd at all. Breakfast hours: 8am - 2pm Lunch hours: 11am - 2pm ---- Chai Latte (Small) $5: - Great balance of sweetness and spice - Sweetness forward - Cinnamon on top can vary between a lot of cinnamon to a fairly light sprinkle (my friend and I both ordered one and hers had too much cinnamon for her and mine not enough to my tastes) - Sometimes it will come with a design on top, and the other time it was random placement - My first time there, they had a feather design with the perfect amount of cinnamon Salmon Lox Sandwich $19: - Side option is between country potatoes or salad - We opted for the country potatoes, which were perfectly crispy and had good flavor - There's also ketchup available on the table, which went well with the potatoes - 3 salmon open faced baguette pieces - Has smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, pickled red onion, and capers - Came with one small slice of orange and half a strawberry, which was a nice addition, but left me wanting more fruit Crab Cake Benedict $21: - Comes with 2 english muffin halves, topped with crab cakes, poached egg, chipolte Mornay sauce, and parsley for garnish - Flavors was great, texture was a little bit mushy I'm assuming bc the type of crab meat they use - Even though country potatoes are listed as their side, they still ask you if you want that or a side salad which is nice - Also comes with the 2 small pieces of one slice of orange and one half of a strawberry ---- Donut Petit: - They are also connected with Donut Petit and it all looked sooo yummy - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that they have their prices listed on their pastry case! - I can't wait to be back to try these out as well ---- Notes: - Large parking area with electric charging spots available - Located right next to a playground workout area - A short walk near the water if you'd like to take a stroll after eating - Come here on weekdays if you want to avoid crowds - Glad they have a second location for people on the east side of Alameda to enjoy without much travel ---- Overall: This place has become my new go-to for breakfast/brunch, while the prices may seem steep it's worth it for the quality of food that you're getting. Choose where you sit wisely, I highly recommend in their more shaded areas and to come on a weekday (or earlier on the weekends) to be able to choose your seats. Their Chai Latte is a must try!

This place is a gem. I love this restaurant for breakfast/ brunch. My favorite thing to order is the crabcake benedict. While I've order this exact item at many other restaurants, nothing compares to the way Café Jolie makes it. Instead of an overly battered crabcake, they use more crab than batter. It's late yet filling and one of the best eggs benedict I've ever had! I also love the french toast. I've ordered both, and I will say they each have their own added benefits. The regular ones are thick and feeling while the croissant ones are light, but still taste amazing, especially topped with the fruit. The customer service is also really good here and the wait times are never too long. The restaurant itself is always clean and you have the option to dine inside and or outside. I definitely recommend this place to others.

This place seemed to be a community favorite, because it was always packed when I passed by. They have indoor and outdoor seating, which would always be full. After seeing a reel about it as well, I decided to try it out recently. I think due to the amount of seating they have, you don't actually have to wait long. I was seated within 5 minutes, which I appreciated because I thought I would have to wait a while. I ended up getting the monte cristo, with a side of potato. The monte cristo is a ham & turkey with cheese sandwich that is egg-washed and fried, and then topped with powdered sugar. I hadn't had a monte cristo in such a long time, so I was pretty excited to eat this. Topped with the jam, the sweet and savory were quite satisfying. The sandwich while crispy on the outside, was soft and moist on the inside, much like the potatoes. I do wish the powdered sugar was layered more evenly, as some of the pieces barely had any. And if I'll be picky, I think one of the pieces was slightly burnt. But overall, it was a lovely breakfast. The cafe is super busy but the food doesn't take too long to come out. I enjoyed the busy atmosphere on the weekend morning. It's a great local spot that takes care of it's locals and puts out good food.

    Scramble and a Mocha Latte
    Mason J.

Get anything from the menu, it'll be tasty, but make sure you order the croissant French toast. Invite a friend to brunch if you think you'll need help. This is one life choice you will NOT regret. I got the Huevos Rancheros. As a vegetarian it was great to have that option beyond the regular eggs scrambles and omelets (which are also tasty). My friend got the Jolie Scramble and we split the croissant French toast. Zero regrets. Oh, and get a mocha latte, because you already know your diet has gone to Hell in a handbasket with the croissant French toast, you might as well enjoy the ride before you attempt to get right with your god the following day. I wish I had all of the pictures, but I was too busy nom-nomming to get fancy pics. Oh and they get an extra 10 stars for bringing my pup an actual water bowl and making her feel like one of the family. The food here was always good, but like many tried and true seasoned places, this place has been growing exceptional with each passing season. Great vibes, delicious food, friendly attentive service, and truly committed owners living into their dreams. It is always a treat to see each part of their adventure unfold. *Hit up their donut spot, Donut Petit, 2 doors down for amazing donuts for that afternoon treat you didn't know you needed.

We shared our brunch, got the pear and gingerbread pancakes which was an interesting combination but totally worked. You can really taste the gingerbread but it's not overwhelming. The eggs and bacon were fine. But the French toast was great. You could taste the subtle orange blossom which the bread was soaked in. If we had to find something to improve upon it would be that we couldn't really taste any lavender in the latte. The servers were really busy and it was a bit hard to get anyone's attention to get our check. But it was still a great brunch.

Someone in our party booked this and I remembered coming here a couple of years ago and wondered why I hadn't come back yet. Lovely neighborhood bistro that's charming atmosphere with a classic feel and attentive service. We enjoyed the variety of tasty French dishes available daily and a few specials. We started with an order of crispy pommes frites and their special crab puff pastry. Both were nice starters. Then we followed that with Bijou Goat Cheese salad. They also had a nice wine list and we selected a good Napa cabernet sauvignon. For entrees, I had the Chilean sea bass that was breaded nicely and cooked perfectly tender over a bed of mashed potatoes and greens. The others in my party had the rack of lamb, duck confit and special entree of pan seared dayboat scallops and risotto. All dishes were solid but probably the best were the rack of lamb and seabass. For dessert, we shared the creme rules and chocolate fondant cake and I had a decaf latte, too. Both desserts were nice and rich but creme brulee was especially smooth and creamy. We were all full to the max! We left happy and I was glad we came back here for an early Mother's Day dinner!
