Let's start with what was good: * The tiramisu latte is absolutely delish. Is it $6.50 delish since it's mostly ice? Well, I'll let you be the judge of that. The taste is wonderful. * The person at the cash register was tremendously apologetic when I reported the main issue below. They offered me a refund, which I accepted. Props to them for being so apologetic and gracious about it. Now the disappointing stuff: * Ordering is a little confusing as inside the front door, it appears that you need to order from a kiosk. We did, but it turns out they take orders in person in the back. Ah well. * Although we got there about 1PM and they were open to 5PM, there were a lot of menu items that were already sold out. Including pretty much any baked goods. Sigh. * All the tables that seat four people had one person at them with their stuff spread all over the table. Technically not the restaurant's fault, but it was kind of annoying. We opted for the community table, which was empty. * After what felt like a considerable amount of time, they brought out the "big breakfast" that my significant other had ordered. Without comment, the bagel was replaced by a single piece of toast cut in half. We looked at each other quizzically, and I said, "I guess maybe they ran out of bagels?" Well, OK. Sigh. But where's my order of a bulgogi sandwich? I told my SO to go ahead and eat and not let the eggs get cold. * He tried the eggs, but they were kind of dry and lukewarm, like they had been dying in the window. I said, "How could they be dying in the window when mine isn't even here yet?" But there it is. * My SO had almost finished his lunch, and there was still no sign of mine. Finally I went up to the register and asked. Turns out they had never even started making mine. Um, what? Two orders come on the same ticket, and you decide to make one and not the other? * As I mentioned above, they offered to either start my order then or give me a refund. I was so disappointed and frustrated that I just took the refund. Then we walked down the street to Ole's Waffle House so I could order food and have a chance of receiving it. There, I had one of the best patty melts I can recall, and my SO enjoyed what he said was the best piece of carrot cake he ever had. Came for a Saturday brunch, and it was busy but there was still a decent amount of seating. You can order at the kiosk or at the counter then sit down at a table of your choosing. There were other groups getting lunch, sitting at the bar, and studying/working on their laptops with a drink. I've tried a few drinks here, they have all impressed me. Finally got a chance to try Dandelion Kaffe. This spot used to be known as Preacher's Daughter, which we frequented semi-regularly. Still pretty much the same setup inside, but different menu, and only non-alcoholic bevvies. I went with an iced coffee with oat milk which was good. I also ordered the eggvocado toast - half omelette, half toast with hummus and avocado. Quite tasty, especially with the seasoning, which was some combination of sesame seeds, seaweed, and something else perhaps - very good. Generous portion, good for sharing. Prices are reasonable. The other for sandwiches, toasts and bowls. My sister and I enjoyed our lunch. The pesto press consisting with layers of ham, mozzarella cheese, lettuce mix, sliced tomato topped with pesto and balsalmic glaze was absolutely delicious. I am not a coffee drinker, but I was eager to have the tiramisu latte. Other lattes I want to drink are the ube, lavender and the guava matcha. Y'all know what that means - return visits in the future. My sister's bulgogi croissant looked scrumptious. Wow! I had never tried matcha made with coconut water before, and it was incredibly refreshing, hydrating, and delicious. I also really enjoyed the in-house chocolate muffin. The service was good. You have the option to order at a self-service kiosk or directly at the counter with staff. I ordered my drink at the kiosk and my food at the counter. Cozy weekday brunch gem of a find! What was interesting was this place offered multiple different seatings - table, bar side and outdoors especially for those WFH folks! Dandelion offers Asian type brunch fusion! A nice new addition to the Bay Area cafe scene! A friend and I visited the newly opened Dandelion Kaffe on a whim, looking for a quick caffeine fix after lunch. For starters, the ambiance was great--easily the best part of the entire experience. There were plenty of tables both indoor and outdoor at their patio area in addition to stools at their bar area, although there wasn't anything actually happening behind the bar. What stood out most was the vast amount of natural light that complimented the greenery. It created a lovely relaxed atmosphere fit to sip and hold conversation, or get work done. I ordered their iced Honeycomb Latte, while my friend ordered the standard Iced Matcha Latte. Both came in nice glassware as we opted to sit in. The honeycomb latte was good, crispy bits on top that melted into the drink as time passed to provide a developing flavor without being too sweet. The matcha latte however, was pretty standard. Something reminiscent of what could be made at home, possibly due to the overpowering oat milk or lack of matcha. I can't speak too much of the service as we opted to order from their self order station at the front entrance, but we were greeted with smiles as our drinks were delivered. Overall, I was very pleased. Prices were quite standard, actually a bit cheaper than expected from a new cafe with a vast menu. It's a newer café in the area and has a good number of tables, a bar counter, two tables out front and an outdoor patio on the side. We ordered at the counter, though afterwards, we noticed a self-order kiosk at the entrance. They have coffees, matchas, teas, sandwiches, bowls, and some pastries in a case. After we placed our orders at the counter, we parked ourselves at the table. When the order was completed, it was brought to our table. I had an Americano and it was good. I believe this location has seen a few different businesses over the last few years ~ the building is so beautiful & location is convenient for metered street parking, I wish Dandelion Kaffe all the best luck in the coming weeks to months. They have a really cool menu and I hope to be back to try a few other of their coffee offerings. I ordered the Dirty Ube (Ube & Espresso Latte) and the B.E.A.T. (Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, Avo, Tomatoes) with spicy mayo and American cheese on choice of sourdough or ciabatta with a side house salad. Other items are sweet and savory toasts, other brekky sandwiches and more hearty lunch sandwiches, and bowls. On my next trip I noticed the Tiramisu Latte, Biscoff Latte, Honeycomb Latte, and Einspänner that all look visually stunning. Food wise I would love to try a bowl or the Gochujang Egg Sandwich next with kimchi..yes please! Love the bright yet calming atmosphere! Great place to visit in the afternoon on a hot day because they leave the doors open for a nice breeze. They also have an outdoor patio as well. The workers are all lively and sweet. They accidentally gave me the wrong drink but by the time I only took my first sip, they immediately noticed and brought me what I ordered. I found this cafe while walking down Park Street in the rain, and it was such a lucky find. I'm more of a fan of sweet coffee over bitter, and their honeycomb latte-which I've tried both iced and hot-hits the spot. The honeycomb adds just the right amount of sweetness, and I'll be coming back for it whenever I'm in town. The interior is super cute with plenty of seating, though it's mostly high top tables with a few regular ones mixed in. It seems like a great workspace; I saw two people on laptops, so I assume they have Wifi, but you might want to call and double-check. The only downside is that it's street parking only. You can usually find a spot in the nearby residential neighborhoods to avoid fees, but just make sure to read signs and be respectful of the neighbors.
