Thai brunch in Alameda! It has a sizable indoor seating but somehow easy to miss when walking past on the main drag in Alameda. We wanted to try the pandan toast but it wasn't available. We had the ube instead, it was Ok. $20 seems expensive for two pieces of toast and sauce. Prettier in pictures. Recommend the Tom Yum Reduction though! Tasty and filling.
If this is the "peak," I'd hate to see what their bottom is. Had a reservation, but still had to wait 40 minutes. Service is slow and unhelpful. My eel dish had lukewarm small eel that tasted like it was from a packet, bland slow, lukewarm eggs, and lukewarm rice. Totally not worth it. My friend had the deconstructed Tom YUM, I guess it was okay, though she boxed most of it to go. The mango sticky rice was awful. Way too sweet, doused in syrup with bitter mangos for $13. Overall with tax and tip $100 for 2 people, was not worth it and I do not understand the hype. I heard kids and parents around us talking about how great the pancakes are, but we didn't feel like pancakes, so that's that.
Stopped by Peak for a last-minute brunch and it was a pretty good experience. I was curious to try out Peak for a little while but didn't get around it. The restaurant is warm and inviting with some simple decorations and touches of color. We arrived shortly after opening time and were the first ones dining in, but a steady stream of customers started coming in gradually. The brunch menu has a good amount of sweet and savory items, although the prices for certain items were a bit steep. They have multiple types of coffee and tea drinks available. I opted to order an iced lavender latte, which was quite tasty and did not have an overpowering flavor of lavender and the sweetness was just right. I also ordered the creme brûlée toast, which was a smaller portion, with one piece of brioche toast and had a nice texture and a delicious vanilla custard topping with fresh fruit. We also had a side of fruit, which seemed a bit lackluster for the $9 price. They included a small plate of sliced apple and oranges, some blueberries and cherries and 1-2 strawberries sliced thinly. Food was pretty good, but I am curious about how the savory egg dishes taste. Service was friendly and attentive, as we had to flag down a staff member for a few different items more than once. They responded promptly and were kind. However, with 2 iced drinks, 2 small-ish entrees, and a side of fruit, the total with tax was just under $60 before tip. I think Peak could be a solid brunch spot with some minimal improvements. Overall, I'd recommend trying out Peak if you're in the area.
Parking: Came here after a workout session with my brother and found out it's a hole in the wall restaurant so parking is on the street and of course you gotta pay the meter. Ambiance: it was nice and cozy, the decor was actually really lovely with. Nice cafe vibe. Service: service was actually really good. The servers were attentive and flexible. Food: tasty and came out fast, had the drunken noodles which were good and whatever ramen dish they had on the same page as drunken noodles. Very flavorless squid so watch out for that. And the sodas I assume is made with club soda and syrup cause that's what their lychee soda tastes like. It's alameda so I knew the menu items were going to be pricey. That's fine. But I had mango sticky rice to go and I gotta say, a small box of rice with half a mango in it for $13? Nah, that was $6 at best.
We tried this new brunch spot and it did not disappoint. It has a spacious and modern interior and comfortable seating. We made a reservation for the weekend and got seated shortly. The food was aesthetic and tasty. Highlights was definitely the Tom Yum reduction. Super flavorful broth with egg and rice. Bacon was perfectly cooked and our pancakes were fluffy and light. This is a nice local gem that doesn't have too long of a wait and can satisfy a Thai brunch craving!
Our favorite was the tom yum reduction. Service was amazing. We were a table of four and finished everything, no crumbs left behind! The server even commented "wow ate everything!"
Came here for brunch on a rainy weekend and there was no line at 11am. We made a reservation but definitely didn't need to. The food was tasty but felt like a cozy home cooked meal. I enjoyed the flavor of the Tom Yum reduction and my husband liked the fried rice in the Uncle Sam fried rice. The restaurant is spacious with lots of natural light and fresh florals which make the space very cozy. Parking is on the street only. We had to park around the corner in the neighborhood to park for free.
Came here for a late brunch on Saturday and luckily there was no wait. Parking was a little tricky though, I ended up parking in a nearby neighborhood and walking over. For the table, we ordered the Tom Yum reduction, pandan brioche toast, and pandan pancakes. The Tom Yum dish wasn't bad, it had some nice citrusy, tangy flavors inspired by the classic Thai soup, but it didn't stand out much. The pandan brioche toast unfortunately missed the mark for us. The toast itself was extremely dry, which made it hard to enjoy even with the pandan sauce. The pandan pancakes were decent with a light sweetness and soft texture, but overall nothing particularly memorable. Service was standard and the food came out at a reasonable pace, and the place itself has a nice atmosphere. That said, the food didn't quite live up to the hype for us. Not terrible by any means, but you can probably find better brunch options elsewhere in the area.
I have been wanting to try Peak for a while since it opened on the West End. Went during a random weekend, we got seated right away which was nice. We ordered the yellow curry with chicken and drunken noodle. Both delicious and fantastic classic Thai dishes! The service was amazing, the waitresses were attentive and accommodating to what we needed.
Great late lunch option! Got drunken noodles & pineapple fried rice along with a beautiful dessert cream brûlée toast. They were perfectly made by the chef, we love the "wok" flavor in both rice & noodles. Cream brûlée toast was authentic. Service was quick & caring. Overall, A lovely place to have a lunch in Alameda.
I absolutely loved the food here. I love brunch, I love Thai food--and Thai brunch is kind of a no-brainer. Everything we tried was really good, and while the dishes themselves are clearly Thai brunch-style (so not traditional in form), the flavors were very authentic. That balance was actually what made it so enjoyable. The standout dish for me was the tom yum seafood omurice. I still think about it sometimes--it was that good. Savory, tangy, loaded with seafood, and the sauce was just perfectly done. We also ordered the soup potato fries, which were crispy, fresh, and super satisfying--honestly a great side. And of course, we had to get the boat noodle soup, since it's my husband's favorite and not something every Thai restaurant offers. Their version was very flavorful and easily one of the better ones we've had. In general, places that serve boat noodles tend to be more authentic, and this one definitely delivered. If this spot weren't all the way in Alameda, I'd probably be here all the time. If you're into Thai food and brunch, this place is absolutely worth checking out.
When I saw the menu for this place, I was so excited. Everything sounded delicious. So good, in fact, that I thought there would be a line. Fortunately, there were quite a few tables available, so we were sat immediately. My table of two ordered the following: Smoked Duck Benedict - The duck was dry. The egg was fine, and the tater tots were okay, though could've been slightly crispier. Chocolate Ferrero Rocher Pancake - I should've read the details. I thought it was going to be Ferrero Rocher batter, but it was simply pancakes that were slightly better than IHOP with hazelnut chocolate cream on top. I would've preferred that the pancakes were layered with the cream (like a cake), so the cream could add more sweetness throughout the bite. Overall, this place has great promise, but the execution was average. I do like that they have reusable foodware (see Eco Notes below). Cute brunch/thai restaurant in Alameda! The menu has typical American brunch options as well as Thai lunch specials. Prices were on par with Bay Area restaurants. Flavors were really good and large portions. Stand out was the fried chicken and fried rice - the seasoning was really delicious and memorable. Chicken here is white meat - yay!! Service was prompt and she frequently topped off our waters. All items were presented soon after ordering. No complaints at all! I wouldn't make special effort to return but definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. No outside seating. Metered parking along the street.
We found this place on TikTok (Boozie sent us ) The restaurant is spacious and street parking was easy. We came in for Saturday brunch. We were greeted and seated right away. The workers are very attentive and friendly. The portion sizes were very generous. Everything we had was delicious and well cooked. They accommodated our need to try the calamari (served during dinner) and we're so happy they did. It was cooked well, but a bit salty for us. I had the Cluck Benedict. I usually don't like eggs benedict but the eggs were cooked so well and the egg whites were not gooey like most places. My husband liked the Duck Benedict but said it wasn't what he expected (thin slices of duck) but still finished the entire plate. We ordered ricotta pancakes and pork belly to go. Our son loved it. We're definitely coming back for brunch again and to try their dinner service. There is one gender neutral bathroom that was very clean. read more
Cute little space in alameda. Friendly and attentive service. Parking - busy street parking, metered in the front or you can park around the corner in the residential area for a little walk. Bathroom towards the back near the kitchen. Food - Smoked duck Benedict - Peak pork belly - decently Yummy wings - perfectly cooked and moist. Sauce on the side was the sweet chili sauce- which is always a hit with fried chicken! I will agree with others it is not too seasoned- it could be their thing! I will be more than happy to come back and try more of their sweet items though! read more

Had an excellent brunch here. Everything is delicious and beautiful. Extensive menu of classics, unique twists, and Thai food. Smoked duck Benedict - SO tasty. The pesto was a surprising pairing to me, but it went together so well. The smoked duck had great flavor and the eggs were poached on the more undercooked side with slightly runny whites, but I prefer that to overcooked yolks. Pandan brioche - such good flavor. The toast itself is thick and soft, and the pandan sauce is so yummy. Drinks - really fun low ABV cocktails Can't wait to come back and try more items! read more
Came here on a weekend lunch and plenty of seating in the restaurant. I also want to thank the staff member for being friendly. We were able to get the khao soy-- make sure to check with staff about availability. So, so good. Having the fried chicken to dip in the broth is a perfect combination. The pickles help cut through the rich flavors. The pad see ew is a classic dish that satisfied our rice noodle craving and the benedict was delicious, perfectly yolky and plenty of tater tots to snack on. The space is well-decorated and bathroom was clean. I would definitely come back. read more

Food: The pandan toast was a definitely the standout. The pandan flavor was rich and spot on. The pa kee mao had good spice and texture, though it leaned a bit too sweet for me. The tom yum reduction was creative and unique, but didn't quite hit as a standout dish. The menu is really extensive, which makes me want to come back and explore more next time. Ambiance: The space itself has a nice vibe. It is clean and comfortable enough to enjoy a longer meal. It feels like the kind of spot that works for both casual brunch and trying something new with friends. Service: This is where things fell short. The food took quite a long time to come out, and overall service was noticeably slow. It's a shame, because the kitchen is clearly putting out good dishes, but the experience would be much better with more attentive and quicker service. read more

Peak Alameda may be one of the best-executed Thai food we've ever had. From the rich, layered flavors of the Tom Kha soups to the pleasing Smoked Duck Curry or the Trout & Apple salad to the Pandan Toast dessert, dishes show their individuality. Clean flavor profiles, good portions, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a cheerfully-lighted dining space have made our trips to Peak Alameda a joy. read more
Thai food and bottomless mimosas? Say less! I actually found this place on social media and was a bit excited that a new Thai spot opened up...and for brunch! We came here with reservations for a birthday group. I looked over the brunch menu and everything sounded good, but once we looked at their regular Thai menu, enough was said. We all decided to order the traditional Thai dishes. -Fried calamari 4/5 -Fried rice with fried chicken 5/5 -Basil crispy pork belly 5/5 -Thai boat noodle soup 5/5 -Drunken noodles 4/5 -Sweet sticky rice with ice cream 5/5 Mimosas all around 5/5 When I say everything was delicious and authentic, I left with food coma and am still dreaming about it. They also had chili oil, which was just the icing on the cake. The service was also amazing! A few people came by to check on us, and we felt very welcomed. I can't wait to go back. read more
We came here for Father's Day brunch and I really enjoyed it. There were definitely a couple of favorites and would love to come back and try some of their other items. The restaurant was small and set up with a bunch of small tables. But I'm sure they can accommodate large parties by putting some of the tables together. Everything was really good with the exception of the smoke duck. The slices of the smoke duck were really thin so it actually dried it out and tasted more like a jerky. read more
Second time at Peak. This time my partner and I decided to pop in for brunch before running Saturday errands. We shared the avocado smash with added salmon, and my partner of course got his usual side of bacon. They do a very good avocado smash here. Generous serving of both avocado and salmon. The side of greens comes with some sort of basil dressing which I really liked. I would enjoy that dressing on pretty much anything. On my previous visit here, my friend and I shared a smoked salmon Benedict, which was also very good, and the side of tater tots it came with were some of the best tots I've had. So A+ for the food. Good flavors, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. Service was good. They could use some additional staffing with the popularity this place has gained. On this Saturday, it was a full house. Sound absorbers would also be a good investment. Located in one of Alameda's many older buildings, sound bounces all over like crazy, and with a larger crowd the noise can get intense. Metered parking on Webster is often sparse, but look for parking on the side streets. I'm glad to see how far Webster St./Alameda's West Side has come over the years, and enjoy supporting the businesses on this side of town. We will be back at Peak. Next time I want to try the lunch menu, which looks very good. read more

Woke up late and figured we should do brunch before tackling our Saturday stuff to get done. So the west side we go since a lot of our errands are on thar side of town. My first time here and 2nd for my partner. Three place was packed with only one open table Anaheim another one reserved. Given as packed as they were it took a minute to get our order in but once in and delivered staff continually checked in. I totally went off the radar and ordered the avocado smash toast with addes smoked salmon and a side of bacon. My partner shared with me minus the bacon. Looks like it seats about 40 at tables and more at the counter. Intersting in there was not a tradional eggs and bacon with toast and hash browns or differnt kinds of meat and potatoes on the menu. You could build it from side orders I guess but I opted not to. Bottomless Momo's for those inclined and a brut for us purists. A lot of Thai dishes on the menu also. We will try some of those at a later date. When crowded the noise level is a little intense. As people left the sound level was better. Acoustic tiles or some artsy sound absorbers would be great. Artwork on the walls was nice. I especially liked the white flowers with the raised accents from the thick white paint or putty. read more
On a Sunday around 1pm, we had to wait 5-10 min for a table. Brunch here was very popular up until 2pm when they closed. Food: 4/5. The Tom Yum Reduction and Khao Soi were great, but pad see ew was a little salty and noodles overcooked. They have a large menu, so would want to try other items next time Service: 5/5. We celebrate two birthdays with friends - July 8 and July 21 - from Oakland and San Francisco with excellent dishes and delightful service. This menu offers specialties for every appetite. We ordered early brunch with Harvest Moon, Bacon Avocado Waffle, Uncle Sam's Fried Rice, Thai Tom Yum Reconstructed - sharing the delicious Brioche toast with pandan cream sauce for a special finish. read more
I've been wanting to come check out Peak for so long, finally had the chance for a weekday Thai brunch! I love that places are doing weekday brunches because it's hard to hit the weekend brunch with kiddos, so major kuddos for that. With spacious and cute digs, can't wait to already come back to try more from the menu. My party and I split a lunch special with rice (veggie yellow curry), beef pad see ew, and a chicken satay salad. While a bit underwhelmed with the salad (the satay were chicken tendies), the curry and noodles were absolutely delicious. Packed with flavor and abundant with all the protein, two great dishes. Friendly service, fair pricing, metered street parking. With a fun and creative menu, would love another stop through to try a few other dishes soon. I honestly think that Thai brunch is the ONLY way to go. It is superior to any other brunch cuisine, and my meal at Peak was only another data point to my theory. I stopped by for a late brunch with a friend on a weekend. Staff were very warm and welcoming from the time we entered. After a hard choice between all the amazing sounding items on the menu, I decided to order the Tom Yum Reduction and a Thai iced coffee. I absolutely love rice, and believe that it has a place during every meal, so I loved how warm and comforting the Tom Yum Reduction was. The rice was the perfect vesicle for the tom yum sauce mixed with the soft egg. It was hearty, balanced and had me craving for it bite after bite. The Thai iced coffee was a bit too sweet for me, but it was still very good! read more

The food at Peak was super incredible! The service was amazing and we felt like the staff was very kind and personable, and made sure that we were well taken care of. The food was all really good and well plated. The tom yum reduction was my favorite but honestly, everything was really really good! Ambiance was light and quaint! Would definitely love to come back again! read more
Wonderful spot! Great ambiance and friendly staff. I have been here for both dinner and brunch. The classic Thai dishes are on point. Love the yellow curry and pad Thai. We also had the oandan brioche toast which was delicious! Not too sweet and loved the oandan flavor and fresh fruit. Could have maybe used even more of the oandan sauce. Many of the brunch dishes seem pretty adventurous and unique -- would perhaps try these next time! read more
WHEN: Fri @12pm Got to try this new spot back in January for lunch and felt a bit overwhelmed with the many many selections on their menu. SO my lovely friend and I decided to the following foods: HOUSE PANDAN BLACK TEA - $5 I'm a sucker for all things Pandan so when I saw this I had to give it a try. The Pandan was subtle but I enjoyed it! I wish I can add pandan to all my teas everyday. THAI TOM YUM REDUCTION - $21 A twist on the classic Thai dish with Maitake mushroom, prawns, red onion and fresh tomato sautéed in a rich tangy Tom Yum sauce, paired with tornado eggs. Served over fragrant Thai jasmine rice. We usually get a Logo Moco but this sounded unique and had to try! Overall good, but perhaps I expected something more. It's like having rice, scrambled eggs, and you decided to scoop some of that Tom Yum soup into your bowl. I've decided I prefer my Tom Yum exclusively as a soup. Don't get me wrong I ate it and thoroughly enjoyed it. CRISPY CLUCK BENEDICT - $22 Crispy fried chicken atop toasted sourdough, crowned with perfectly poached eggs and drizzled with velvety hollandaise sauce. A bold fusion of classic comfort and vibrant Thai flavors. Served with a side of rainbow potatoes or tater tots, and I got the latter and they were good. The chicken was more of a katsu style which was decent and overall this dish was good. PANDAN THAI TOAST - $15 Sweet pandan cream and coconut milk come together to create a wonderfully fragrant custard served on a sweet toasted brioche and coconut ice cream. Sprinkle with coconut flakes. Made with real pandan leaf with no added color. Did I mention how much I love Pandan? I was on the fence with this one because of how feel we were, and I didn't like the price. But dammit, not only was our server/shop owner so damn charming, but yes I get weak in the knees with Pandan. It was so good of course. I'm really rooting for this restaurant and hope they stick around for long. There's plenty of seating and the place is well decorated. I think this review is mainly for the one item I really enjoyed, and it's the Thai Tom yum reduction. It was really good and a subtle tom yum flavor for me that I really enjoyed. My father in law even liked it, and he seems quite picky. The sauce is thickened kind of like a gravy and it's over rice with eggs. I was able to enjoy it twice because it was a lot for me (took half home to eat). My husband got the smoked duck Benedict which I personally didn't like. Duck tasted too much like bacon to me, and I like the velvet taste of Duck. He also didn't like it. There was really no wait on a Sunday morning and we got lucky with very close street parking. I had lunch at Peak restaurant on a Thursday around 1 PM and it was surprisingly quiet and relaxing spot to enjoy a meal. The inside of the restaurant is really cute and it is spacious with tons of seating available. They offer both a brunch menu and a regular menu and the selection on both ends is very impressive. There's also a great list of cocktails and desserts to round out your meal. I ordered the pad see ew with beef and added a fried egg on top (extra $3) and it was reallllly good. The thick noodles soaked up the sauce beautifully and the flavors were perfectly balanced. My coworker got the chicken satay tacos and she enjoyed them as well. I also tried the Soju bloody Mary & I highly recommend! The soju was very smooth and made it quite too easy to drink lol The prices are on the higher end, but that's expected as it is in Alameda, but I think the quality of the food, cocktails, and service made it totally worth it. Staff was friendly and attentive the whole time. Parking tip: street parking (metered) is available and there's a small lot around the block away I definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a tasty lunch and great drinks in Alameda! read more

Super satisfying brunch here today: - The Peak, everything the desc says - creamy eggs, thick meaty unctuous pork belly, chewy and crusty sourdough slathered in maple syrup - Avo Bacon Waffle - comes with an over easy fried egg, a touch of sweet and savory. Waffle had a nice crisp and bite - nice minimalist ambiance and warm, unobtrusive service - American and Thai pop hits played They have bottomless mimosas! 1.5 hour limit. We opted to go alcohol free with coffee and Thai iced tea. Corner of Webster/Central - metered parking only. Most definitely will be back! What a delicious addition to Alameda. Modern, hip and good eats. Look forward to trying out the Thai food. read more

we tried this spot with high expectations and the PANDAN BRIOCHE TOAST blew us away. come just for that! the chef said she made the pandan syrup that morning and we were in awe with every bite. honorable mention: Tom Yum egg dish is also very flavorful. read more
