Oh man, been here a few times and finally got a chance to review. Their service is fantastic, very attentive and food comes out fast. My bf and I have only been there brunch hours (on weekends) and surprisingly not too long of a wait. This time I got the smoked salmon Benedict, and let me tell you - I almost started to levitate. It was that freaking good. The hollandaise sauce pairs so well with the smoked salmon and the tater tots are just *chefs kiss*. My bf got the Peak, a little maple heavy if you asked me but he finished his whole plate. And please, get the Thai iced coffee for brunch. You won't regret it. The soft opening has a pretty expansive menu 4.5/5 Brioche Toast with Pandan Cream was flavorful, not too sweet, and coconut ice cream complemented well. Wish the cream was a bit thicker and there was some crunchy element or fruit 3.5/5 Smoked Duck Benedict tasted more like smoked ham actually, less so duck, and did not have much meat. My eggs were slightly overdone so did not have much runny yolk. Potatoes were soft and wished it had more of a pan char 4/5 Thai Tom Yum Reduction was flavorful and the sauce (tart and sweet) went well with everything. The tornado egg looks nice and covered the rice, helping keep the rice from getting too soggy. Some optional spice levels would be nice to add on! The service was excellent and the food was good. There was plenty of shrimp in our soup. The atmosphere was not yet where it needs to be. The room echoes and amplifies sound from other tables. They are at a soft opening state, and hopefully they add enough soft furnishing to dampen the noise from other tables. Our visit was ruined because one group was laughing so loudly four tables away during the entire time we were there. We did not ask them to quiet down, because they're absolutely entitled to have a good time. We were a party of 14 and everyone was delighted with the food. One lady said it was the best Thai food she had had outside of Thailand. Wanted to try a different lunch spot in alameda after thrifting and stubble upon this place on Yelp! My friend and I were so excited since we saw its soft opening. After coming in, we were greeted and seated right away - which isn't bad for Sunday brunch. They have huge space inside for dine in! We started looking at their menu - which was giving Lover by Taylor Swift bec of all the pastel color. They have a lot of items that were unique so we were pretty excited. I ended up getting the Uncle Sam's fried rice and my friend got the yellow curry. I also got a glass of ginger ale. The food came in super quick which was nice as my friend and I were both hungry. Overall the food wasn't bad, could use a little seasoning on the fried rice. The chicken was good. The serving was also great. I also ordered the Peak to go for my bf and he said it was ok. I visited peak for dinner and this place did not disappoint. We ordered a variety of dishes including apps and entrees and I enjoyed everything. My favorite dishes were the calamari (this is a must) and the fried rice with the fried chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly and it was well seasoned and very flavorful. We finally tried out Peak last weekend and I thought it was quite yummy! It's a Thai style brunch spot with regular Thai dishes as well. We went on Saturday around noon and there was no wait. It's a much bigger space than I expected! I got the smoked duck benedict while the bf got chicken and waffles, and we got some Camaro to share. The calamari was nice and crispy with a spicy mayo sauce. I really liked the smoked duck benedict. They use sour dough instead of English muffin and include a pesto spread underneath the duck. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the pesto with the hollandaise sauce as well, but everything was actually nicely balanced. The pesto wasn't too overpowering. The duck also had good flavor. I wasn't sure also pleasantly surprised by the rainbow potatoes! I thought they would just be plain and maybe a bit soft, but they were nice and crispy! I loved how it came with a mix of normal potatoes as well as sweet potatoes! I think the bf didn't like the chicken and waffles as much, but it might have been because it was more of a fusion flavor with the sweet chili sauce. I'm not a huge fan of sweet chili so it was just alright to me. I'd def go back for the benedict and the calamari though! And I def want to try some of their other Thai dishes. My daughter and I had brunch today and it was delicious, especially the Tom Yum egg dish! The servers were warm and polite. My only critique would be to serve the pandan cream brioche warm. don't get me wrong, it was good , but I think it would've been even more enjoyable if the dish had been warm. Just like how one would imagine those two things mix together over a toast. Uncle Tom fried rice was mediocre. Rice tasted not only bland but semi-hard. Only thing that was good was the fried chicken wings. Perhaps getting the fried chicken fried rice would have been the better option. My partner and I came here for dinner over the weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. We got the crispy calamari, khao soi, and boat noodles. Both of us loved everything. Crispy Calamari - light, crispy and seasoned perfectly. The added fried Jalapeno was perfect pairing. The Jalapenos were charred prior to frying, so they tasted even more flavorful. Khao Soi - very flavor curry paired great with the pickled greens and chicken. Really enjoyed the texture of the noodles Boat noodles - soup was so flavorful with aroma of herbs. Ordered a Bloody Mary and it looked like a watermelon color and not red like a Bloody Mary should be. Egg rolls were a little mushy inside and were average as well. We only tried a couple dishes for lunch, but they were really good! Loved the Thai Tom Yum reduction with rice and tornado eggs--the kind of dish you crave after trying! Also had lemon ricotta pancakes, nice and fluffy texture, they come with two sauces that tasted overly sugary to us. Perhaps better to serve them on the side. I've been twice for brunch. Both times it was delicious. Service is always friendly. The creme brûlée French toast was DIVINE, one of the better desserts I've had in a long time, greedily I wish they'd put the two pieces side by side and brûlée them both, otherwise it's perfection. The Tom Yum reduction was delightful. Pancakes, avocado toast, smoked duck benedict were all delicious. I wish they had outdoor seating or a parklet, but otherwise it's a great place for brunch. Im the Alameda neighborhood, I love to try something new restaurants here, especially Thai foods is my favorite food. Bring my family to try Peak Thai cuisine for lunch today, the service is ok, the place is pretty big, however most of the foods we tried were bad and very disappointed. Pak see ew, taste so salty, duck curry temperature is cold Duck meat texture tastes like frozen long times , dry and lack of flavor. Thai boat noodles only few pieces of meats, noodles base is too salty, thick sauce and not enough soup at all. Tom Yum soup no flavor and tastes like salt water. We have only 3 adults and 1 child and 1 kid. They automatically charged us 20% gratuity without any notice and even hide the gratuity charge and still show the credit card machine and ask us to pay extra tips. The serve said we had large party, what I understand large party is 6 people and up. The server thought we don't know about the rules. We are willing to pay tips and even more for the restaurant. Basic on the service and food. I think they are cheating on customers. (they counted us 10 party on the bill!!!) NOT recommended and please check the bill!! My partner and I have had breakfast/brunch here three weeks in a row. We love this new find in our home town. I love the fried chicken here. So far I have had it in a croissant, on top of pad thai and also on top of pad see ew. Next time I will try it on a waffle. Everyone is very nice, professional and helpful. The only bad thing I can say about this place is that there is only one bathroom for everybody so don't wait until the last minute to use it because there could be a line. One of their most popular and photogenic dishes was the Thai Tom Yum Reduction, made with a mound of rice, topped with a tornado egg and surrounded by a moat of maitake mushrooms, huge prawns, onions, and tomatoes in a creamy, tangy Tom Yum sauce. We ordered the following to try: Brioche Toast & Pandan Cream Smoked Duck Benedict Chicken Satay Salad Thai Ice Tea Lychee Iced Tea I would say that the Toast was the highlight with the Duck benedict coming in pretty close! The lychee i ed tea was floral and delicious. Finally, they gave us a free coconut ice cream for dessert. I think the quality and flavor fits the price and a good value considering the whole ambiance, it is a place to relax and savor the moment, enjoy conversations, social gatherings, and try new flavors. Got to visit this new business that just opened up about 6 months ago. We ordered the tom yum reduction omelette, the pandan toast,the fried chicken Benedict, the smoked duck Benedict, and the smoked duck curry. The smoked duck in both dishes was a bit overcooked and dry. The curry had a really great flavor that helped moisten up the duck. The tom yum reduction to me didn't have enough tom yum flavor but the omelette was cooked nicely and I'm always a sucker for mushrooms, though the mushrooms were a bit watery. The fried chicken Benedict was one of my favorite dishes! The chicken was really moist and flavorful. I had the hollandaise sauce on the side and I didn't even really need to put it on because the chicken was already so juicy. My favorite dish of the meal though was the pandan toast. The pandan sauce was delicious and creamy. It wasn't too sweet, and the brioche was soft and fluffy. The perfect vehicle for the sauce! The service was great and the staff were very kind. I love this spot! What a great new addition to Alameda. My partner and I shared the Pandan Brioche and Smoked Duck Benedict - both were delicious! The brioche was sweet but not too sweet, and toast had the perfect texture. I really liked the pesto sauce in the Benedict, the flavors came together really well. Table was ready before arrival. Was running 6 minutes late due to accident; staff was gracious. The noise level was very reasonable. Was seated in under a minute. Order taken in 2 minutes. Seated on high stools. All the other tables with back support seats were reserved. Made reservations an hour before arrival. The eggs were fine; added salt and pepper. The bacon was crunchy and salty like I like it. The waffle syrup was mild. Rainbow potatoes were fine. The waffle was good! The tea was good; doesn't taste like Pandan though. Saw another customer's Thai tea and it looked good! The brioche crème brûlée toast was THICK not overly sweet. Starter Bakery is one of their vendors; that's a plus. The peach Bellini was fine. The crust stayed nice and crunchy while the chicken was so tender and juicy! The fried rice complimented the dish so well. Fried calamari 9/10 They know how to fry their stuff. The calamari was so crunchy, it wasn't even soggy by the time we finished it at the end of our meal. I'm not sure what sauce they paired it with, but it went really nicely with the fried calamari. Fried Chicken Wings 10/10 These chicken wings are out of this world. It's coated in a sticky umami, slightly spicy, sweet, and tangy glaze. I put some of the extra sauce on the fried rice because this sauce was just too good to pass up. This is definitely going to be my go-to order here. Pandan Toast 10/10 All the flavors melted together so perfectly. It came with toast, pandan cream, and coconut ice cream. The toast was nice and soft, while the pandan cream was not too sweet and yet had a strong pandan flavor, and lastly the coconut ice cream was just the perfect amount of coconut taste to balance out everything else. Thai Tea Toast 9/10 This dessert came with the same toast from the pandan toast, condensed milk, and thai tea ice cream. I thought that the thai ice cream was slightly lacking in flavor, but that didn't affect the taste of the dessert as a whole. The condensed milk complemented the toast extremely well and the ice cream was an added bonus! P.S. They made some changes to their menu, like adding a few more items and changing the names of 1-2 dishes.
