If this is the "peak," I'd hate to see what their bottom is. Had a reservation, but still had to wait 40 minutes. Service is slow and unhelpful. My eel dish had lukewarm small eel that tasted like it was from a packet, bland slow, lukewarm eggs, and lukewarm rice. Totally not worth it. My friend had the deconstructed Tom YUM, I guess it was okay, though she boxed most of it to go. The mango sticky rice was awful. Way too sweet, doused in syrup with bitter mangos for $13. Overall with tax and tip $100 for 2 people, was not worth it and I do not understand the hype. I heard kids and parents around us talking about how great the pancakes are, but we didn't feel like pancakes, so that's that.
Thai brunch in Alameda! It has a sizable indoor seating but somehow easy to miss when walking past on the main drag in Alameda. We wanted to try the pandan toast but it wasn't available. We had the ube instead, it was Ok. $20 seems expensive for two pieces of toast and sauce. Prettier in pictures. Recommend the Tom Yum Reduction though! Tasty and filling.
The food here was delicious, but pricey. It was $22 for the Uncle Sam's fried rice, but it didn't fill me up fully. The service was great, and the waiters came to check up on us frequently. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.

Stopped by Peak for a last-minute brunch and it was a pretty good experience. I was curious to try out Peak for a little while but didn't get around it. The restaurant is warm and inviting with some simple decorations and touches of color. We arrived shortly after opening time and were the first ones dining in, but a steady stream of customers started coming in gradually. The brunch menu has a good amount of sweet and savory items, although the prices for certain items were a bit steep. They have multiple types of coffee and tea drinks available. I opted to order an iced lavender latte, which was quite tasty and did not have an overpowering flavor of lavender and the sweetness was just right. I also ordered the creme brûlée toast, which was a smaller portion, with one piece of brioche toast and had a nice texture and a delicious vanilla custard topping with fresh fruit. We also had a side of fruit, which seemed a bit lackluster for the $9 price. They included a small plate of sliced apple and oranges, some blueberries and cherries and 1-2 strawberries sliced thinly. Food was pretty good, but I am curious about how the savory egg dishes taste. Service was friendly and attentive, as we had to flag down a staff member for a few different items more than once. They responded promptly and were kind. However, with 2 iced drinks, 2 small-ish entrees, and a side of fruit, the total with tax was just under $60 before tip. I think Peak could be a solid brunch spot with some minimal improvements. Overall, I'd recommend trying out Peak if you're in the area.
Parking: Came here after a workout session with my brother and found out it's a hole in the wall restaurant so parking is on the street and of course you gotta pay the meter. Ambiance: it was nice and cozy, the decor was actually really lovely with. Nice cafe vibe. Service: service was actually really good. The servers were attentive and flexible. Food: tasty and came out fast, had the drunken noodles which were good and whatever ramen dish they had on the same page as drunken noodles. Very flavorless squid so watch out for that. And the sodas I assume is made with club soda and syrup cause that's what their lychee soda tastes like. It's alameda so I knew the menu items were going to be pricey. That's fine. But I had mango sticky rice to go and I gotta say, a small box of rice with half a mango in it for $13? Nah, that was $6 at best.
We tried this new brunch spot and it did not disappoint. It has a spacious and modern interior and comfortable seating. We made a reservation for the weekend and got seated shortly. The food was aesthetic and tasty. Highlights was definitely the Tom Yum reduction. Super flavorful broth with egg and rice. Bacon was perfectly cooked and our pancakes were fluffy and light. This is a nice local gem that doesn't have too long of a wait and can satisfy a Thai brunch craving!

Came here for brunch on a rainy weekend and there was no line at 11am. We made a reservation but definitely didn't need to. The food was tasty but felt like a cozy home cooked meal. I enjoyed the flavor of the Tom Yum reduction and my husband liked the fried rice in the Uncle Sam fried rice. The restaurant is spacious with lots of natural light and fresh florals which make the space very cozy. Parking is on the street only. We had to park around the corner in the neighborhood to park for free.
Came here for a late brunch on Saturday and luckily there was no wait. Parking was a little tricky though, I ended up parking in a nearby neighborhood and walking over. For the table, we ordered the Tom Yum reduction, pandan brioche toast, and pandan pancakes. The Tom Yum dish wasn't bad, it had some nice citrusy, tangy flavors inspired by the classic Thai soup, but it didn't stand out much. The pandan brioche toast unfortunately missed the mark for us. The toast itself was extremely dry, which made it hard to enjoy even with the pandan sauce. The pandan pancakes were decent with a light sweetness and soft texture, but overall nothing particularly memorable. Service was standard and the food came out at a reasonable pace, and the place itself has a nice atmosphere. That said, the food didn't quite live up to the hype for us. Not terrible by any means, but you can probably find better brunch options elsewhere in the area.
I have been wanting to try Peak for a while since it opened on the West End. Went during a random weekend, we got seated right away which was nice. We ordered the yellow curry with chicken and drunken noodle. Both delicious and fantastic classic Thai dishes! The service was amazing, the waitresses were attentive and accommodating to what we needed.
Great late lunch option! Got drunken noodles & pineapple fried rice along with a beautiful dessert cream brûlée toast. They were perfectly made by the chef, we love the "wok" flavor in both rice & noodles. Cream brûlée toast was authentic. Service was quick & caring. Overall, A lovely place to have a lunch in Alameda.
I absolutely loved the food here. I love brunch, I love Thai food--and Thai brunch is kind of a no-brainer. Everything we tried was really good, and while the dishes themselves are clearly Thai brunch-style (so not traditional in form), the flavors were very authentic. That balance was actually what made it so enjoyable. The standout dish for me was the tom yum seafood omurice. I still think about it sometimes--it was that good. Savory, tangy, loaded with seafood, and the sauce was just perfectly done. We also ordered the soup potato fries, which were crispy, fresh, and super satisfying--honestly a great side. And of course, we had to get the boat noodle soup, since it's my husband's favorite and not something every Thai restaurant offers. Their version was very flavorful and easily one of the better ones we've had. In general, places that serve boat noodles tend to be more authentic, and this one definitely delivered. If this spot weren't all the way in Alameda, I'd probably be here all the time. If you're into Thai food and brunch, this place is absolutely worth checking out.

Super satisfying brunch here today: - The Peak, everything the desc says - creamy eggs, thick meaty unctuous pork belly, chewy and crusty sourdough slathered in maple syrup - Avo Bacon Waffle - comes with an over easy fried egg, a touch of sweet and savory. Waffle had a nice crisp and bite - nice minimalist ambiance and warm, unobtrusive service - American and Thai pop hits played They have bottomless mimosas! 1.5 hour limit. We opted to go alcohol free with coffee and Thai iced tea. Corner of Webster/Central - metered parking only. Most definitely will be back! What a delicious addition to Alameda. Ooo, they had awesome Thai boat noodle soup and Khao soi!! The broth was rich and tasty. The portions were very generous with a ton of meat too. The setting was very quaint and cozy with very attentive waiters or managers. It was a comfortable dining experience, and parking was not too bad with just one spin around the block to find open spots. read more

Peak is one of my FAVORITE restaurants in Alameda! Each and every dish I have tried here has been a 10/10. I am particularly obsessed with the prawn avocado salad- a MUST every time I'm here! The Peak opened around a month ago at the end of Webster in Alameda. The ambiance is minimalist with diners seated in a large, high ceilinged, rectangular room that can get drafty and echoey. Very good service but items are pricey and need refinement compared to more established SE Asian restaurants on Webster. I've been to Peak twice and wanted to sample a few more dishes before writing this review. We liked some dishes and others were a complete miss. Here's what we tried: Roti with Curry Dipping Sauce - flat, not puffy or airy, Roti with a tasty dipping sauce. Decent version that is a bit small. Peak's version is similar to a green onion pancake without the green onions. Crispy Calamari with Spicy Mayo - lots of small pieces, crispy as stated per the menu. Possibly add another sauce like a sweet and spicy chutney. Larb Chicken - small salad that feeds two. We'd pass on this tasteless and dry version. Needs something - more dressing? Fried Trout with Apple Salad - suggest tossing the salad with more dressing and placing the fried trout on top of the mixed salad. The trout was hidden below and loses its crisp underneath the bland salad. I think this menu item is unique and could be a signature item with a little re-work. Applaud the creativity and pairing and just need to work on the execution of this fusion-like item. I would prefer the trout on top as it is the central item of this dish - don't hide it! Keep it crispy. Pad See Ew - good sized portion however we chose beef which ended up being chewy. Tasted almost on point with the light sweet soy, however the flat noodles needed more Wok Mei taste from a bit more frying in the wok. Or just need a more well seasoned wok? Crab Fried Rice - large order with not much crab and tasted very plain. Tasteless fried rice that we'd definitely pass on. We had a much better version nearby. Khao Soi - Peak's version is with fried noodles in a sweet and tangy soup. I personally liked this version with the crispy fried noodles. Would return just for this. Smoked Duck Curry - I liked this version with slices of duck, pineapple chunks, and a sweet red curry sauce. Mango Sticky Rice - average version that was neither a hit or miss. Overall, excellent service with some good dishes while more than a few items need refinement. Peak does well with the curry sauced items while the salads need a bit more zing or spice to make them memorable. Peak has been open for over a month and adjusting some dishes would make it a welcome addition to the competitive SE Asian restaurant scene on lower Webster. read more

Peak Alameda is such a hidden gem. I stopped by recently and was genuinely impressed the flavors, presentation, and cozy atmosphere were all spot on. I started with the Garden Rolls with Avocado, and they were so fresh. Crisp vegetables, creamy avocado, and the peanut sauce tied everything together perfectly. For mains, I tried a few of their new dishes: * Kana Moo Krob - crispy pork belly stir-fried with a flavorful garlic sauce and Chinese broccoli. * Tom Yum Ramen - bold, tangy, and comforting with a rich broth and fresh seafood. * Pla Sam Ros - the fried branzino was cooked beautifully and topped with a sweet, sour, and spicy pineapple sauce. The Coconut Rice was fragrant and slightly sweet, and the Butterfly Pea & Lemon Tea was light and refreshing. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly and fresh. Oh man, been here a few times and finally got a chance to review. Their service is fantastic, very attentive and food comes out fast. My bf and I have only been there brunch hours (on weekends) and surprisingly not too long of a wait. This time I got the smoked salmon Benedict, and let me tell you - I almost started to levitate. It was that freaking good. The hollandaise sauce pairs so well with the smoked salmon and the tater tots are just *chefs kiss*. My bf got the Peak, a little maple heavy if you asked me but he finished his whole plate. And please, get the Thai iced coffee for brunch. You won't regret it. We come here every so often to have brunch and I'm not stopping until I've tried the whole menu. read more
Hands down one of the BEST restaurants in Alameda! Peak has quickly become our absolute favorite spot in town. We've been here five times already (and counting!), and every single visit leaves us raving about the food. The owners are genuinely kind and welcoming, and you can feel the love and care they put into both the food and the atmosphere. Supporting them feels like a joy, not a chore. On our most recent visit, I had the eggplant stir-fry with chicken and purple rice--perfectly balanced with a bit of spice, not too sweet, and packed with flavor. The portion was generous without being overwhelming. My friend had the chicken sandwich on a croissant, and it looked incredible. Another had the "Super Bowl" (teriyaki salmon, rice, avocado, cucumbers, almonds, cranberries)--a gorgeous mix of fresh, hearty, and healthy. My mom loved the salmon cream cheese toast, which she now talks about regularly. I've also had the chicken and waffles which had them moist delicious chicken I've ever had. Also, one of my favorite dishes is noodles are just the right amount of spicy and savory Honestly, everything we've tried has been delicious. You can taste the quality and thought in each dish. Cute new brunch spot in Alameda with friendly staff and aesthetic, flavorful food. The soft opening has a pretty expansive menu 4.5/5 Brioche Toast with Pandan Cream was flavorful, not too sweet, and coconut ice cream complemented well. Wish the cream was a bit thicker and there was some crunchy element or fruit 3.5/5 Smoked Duck Benedict tasted more like smoked ham actually, less so duck, and did not have much meat. My eggs were slightly overdone so did not have much runny yolk. Potatoes were soft and wished it had more of a pan char 4/5 Thai Tom Yum Reduction was flavorful and the sauce (tart and sweet) went well with everything. The tornado egg looks nice and covered the rice, helping keep the rice from getting too soggy. Some optional spice levels would be nice to add on! Overall a nice brunch spot to visit and look forward to them finalizing their menu (after Jan 11 visit) read more

The service was excellent and the food was good. There was plenty of shrimp in our soup. The atmosphere was not yet where it needs to be. The room echoes and amplifies sound from other tables. They are at a soft opening state, and hopefully they add enough soft furnishing to dampen the noise from other tables. Our visit was ruined because one group was laughing so loudly four tables away during the entire time we were there. We did not ask them to quiet down, because they're absolutely entitled to have a good time. However, we literally had to stop speaking to each other at several points so we could hear each other over them. read more
Wanted to try a different lunch spot in alameda after thrifting and stubble upon this place on Yelp! My friend and I were so excited since we saw its soft opening. After coming in, we were greeted and seated right away - which isn't bad for Sunday brunch. They have huge space inside for dine in! We started looking at their menu - which was giving Lover by Taylor Swift bec of all the pastel color. They have a lot of items that were unique so we were pretty excited. I ended up getting the Uncle Sam's fried rice and my friend got the yellow curry. I also got a glass of ginger ale. The food came in super quick which was nice as my friend and I were both hungry. Overall the food wasn't bad, could use a little seasoning on the fried rice. The chicken was good. The serving was also great. I also ordered the Peak to go for my bf and he said it was ok. I visited peak for dinner and this place did not disappoint. We ordered a variety of dishes including apps and entrees and I enjoyed everything. My favorite dishes were the calamari (this is a must) and the fried rice with the fried chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly and it was well seasoned and very flavorful. I started with the blooming tea and for my brunch dish I have the Thai Tom Yum Deduction. The tea was delicious and perfect portion and the Thai Tom Yum Deduction was the perfect balance of savory, sour, shrimp flavor, rice, egg. We finally tried out Peak last weekend and I thought it was quite yummy! It's a Thai style brunch spot with regular Thai dishes as well. We went on Saturday around noon and there was no wait. It's a much bigger space than I expected! I got the smoked duck benedict while the bf got chicken and waffles, and we got some Camaro to share. The calamari was nice and crispy with a spicy mayo sauce. I really liked the smoked duck benedict. They use sour dough instead of English muffin and include a pesto spread underneath the duck. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the pesto with the hollandaise sauce as well, but everything was actually nicely balanced. The pesto wasn't too overpowering. The duck also had good flavor. I wasn't sure also pleasantly surprised by the rainbow potatoes! I thought they would just be plain and maybe a bit soft, but they were nice and crispy! I loved how it came with a mix of normal potatoes as well as sweet potatoes! I think the bf didn't like the chicken and waffles as much, but it might have been because it was more of a fusion flavor with the sweet chili sauce. I'm not a huge fan of sweet chili so it was just alright to me. I'd def go back for the benedict and the calamari though! And I def want to try some of their other Thai dishes. The tom yum reduction and the pandan brioche also look sooo good. And it's super nice to have a good quality brunch spot without a long wait! read more

Super excited to try this new Thai spot in Alameda! They have a thai twist on classic brunch items and classical thai dishes. We tried their Tom Yum Reduction and their Khao Soi. Im the Alameda neighborhood, I love to try something new restaurants here, especially Thai foods is my favorite food. Bring my family to try Peak Thai cuisine for lunch today, the service is ok, the place is pretty big, however most of the foods we tried were bad and very disappointed. Pak see ew, taste so salty, duck curry temperature is cold Duck meat texture tastes like frozen long times , dry and lack of flavor. Thai boat noodles only few pieces of meats, noodles base is too salty, thick sauce and not enough soup at all. Tom Yum soup no flavor and tastes like salt water. We have only 3 adults and 1 child and 1 kid. They automatically charged us 20% gratuity without any notice and even hide the gratuity charge and still show the credit card machine and ask us to pay extra tips. The serve said we had large party, what I understand large party is 6 people and up. The server thought we don't know about the rules. We are willing to pay tips and even more for the restaurant. Basic on the service and food. I think they are cheating on customers. (they counted us 10 party on the bill!!!) NOT recommended and please check the bill!! I hope the business will follow up with this issue. Please stop to do that it's illegal!! read more

I had the most delightful brunch with friends and our kiddos at Peak! The pancakes were a total standout--fluffy, perfectly sweet, and absolutely delicious. The mango and sticky rice is a must-try, with the perfect balance of flavors that really took me back to Thailand. My friend couldn't stop raving about her Thai Tom Yum Reduction--it was bold, rich, and full of incredible flavor. The atmosphere at Peak is cute and cozy, making it the perfect spot for brunch. And I can't forget to mention the bottomless mimosas --such a great addition to an already amazing experience. Service was good, they were very busy and did their best to keep up. Definitely will be coming back for more - and want to do dinner there to focus on the Thai Dishes! read more
