The food is really good - we had a focaccia sweet bread with blueberries and lemon, and he warmed it up - delicious! The atmosphere was relaxing and right on the water. We sat outside but you can choose inside, and watched a sea otter play around and a pelican come for a visit on the dock next door. The staff were all really friendly. I'm obsessed with Mosley's! The avocado and egg toast was amazing, and the matcha drink was very good. Their tuna melt is a favorite of mine, and their pastries are top-notch. I love their strawberry scones, and the earl grey scone was a delightful surprise. Scott, the owner, is fantastic, very warm and welcoming. If you live in Alameda, Mosley's is a must-visit for lunch. I have been to Mosley's a bunch of times but not since some changes to the exterior and to the menu. We did a long walk from the east to west side of Alameda and stopped by Mosley's for lunch. We had Lox toast and Turkey, Bacon Croissant and both were delicious! Beautiful views and just a lovely place to visit to be by be water. Service was also quick and helpful. read more

Interesting and unique setting with good coffee. I had an oat milk latte and a bagel with smoked salmon. Both were great and I would order again. My daughter had avocado toast and it was pretty odd, the avocado was 3x the expected amount and it was very liquid and oily seeming. Maybe olive oil was added? Anyway, it was a mess and not so great. The location is on a dock near the marina and you have some nice views of the water, boats and surrounding neighborhood. Seating a bit limited on the deck wrapping around the little cafe. Service was friendly and quick. If you live nearby I suggest checking it out! read more

4.5/5 Overview: Cute little café on the water, Chai Latte was super yum, hidden behind residential areas off of Grand St ---- Mosley's is located on the water right across from Coast Guard Island. It's pretty hidden away and if my friend hadn't recommended me this place I would have completely missed it! I ordered their Chai Latte $5.50 ($6.07 after tax). It was sooo good, the right amount of spice and sweetness (it's on the sweeter side if you're into that, I definitely am!). ---- Notes: - right on the water, so great views - there are seats along the walkway entrance and in the café area itself (10+ seats along walkway, and around 10 seats in the café area) - there are cute nautical-themed bag hooks underneath to hang bags or jackets so they aren't on the floor - the seats in the sun don't have much shade so it can get a bit hot - I prefer their seats in the café area because it's much cooler and the views are still great - there's a self service station with different condiments, utensils, sugar, water, and napkins - service was great, friendly ---- They offer a fairly large range of drinks (mainly cold brews and teas, and alcohol options), food, and sweet treats that I can't wait to try on my next visit! Their coffee is mostly cold brew options, they don't offer any espresso or espresso-based drinks. I subtracted half a star because my only complaint is that they don't have prices written for the items in the pastry case :( To me, it doesn't make sense that wrote a price for their honey ($17), but not for any of their sweet treats. ---- Overall: I'd definitely be back for their Chai Latte and views, hopefully next time they'll have prices listed for their pastries and I'll try some of those as well read more

I know Mosley's has been around for a while (40 years) but Alameda keeps getting cooler and cooler after my discovery of this cafe. Enjoyed a latte and pastry on the porch perched above the Oakland Estuary at Grand Marina. Cute and quaint however lots of renovations going on so I look forward to visiting soon. Wine, beer and other snacks are on the menu. Opens 8am daily except for Monday. Check them out ! read more

The people here are so friendly and kind. Such a bubbly personality! I had the cold brew cappuccino and my friend had the Carmel latte, he had no complaints about his. I wish my cold brew was just a bit stronger! Usually I get a buzz after drinking 1/3 of any cold brew. This one didn't quite kick. Had the maple bacon focaccia, it was great. Sweet and savory, the focaccia was so soft/moist. Literally almost like a donut! I was happy to try this-- thank goodness I shared! It was a huge piece! Ordered a croissant sandwich bacon and ham, and the BLT was ordered. Solid food, nothing spectacular but nothing was amiss! I had a great time considering the weather, staff, and how easy it was to find parking! I highly recommend outdoor seating. read more

This place is very scenic right on the dock of the boats. It was a little bit hard to find but with the trek. The staff were super friendly and the muffins here are amazing. Got a blueberry and cherry muffin with a cup of hot chocolate on a cold day. read more

To say I adore Mosley's Café would be an understatement. It's a small neighborhood café located at the end of the main pier at Grand Marina, and it's the most friendly, welcoming place. They have a great drink selection--coffee, specialty coffee drinks, beer, and a variety of sodas and non-alcoholic specialty drinks. The pastries and treats are excellent, with options like muffins, brownies, and more. There's also a small but solid lunch menu. My favorite is the turkey grilled cheese--with added jalapeños, of course. The location and scenery are incredible. It's literally at the end of a short pier, right on the water. You can sit and enjoy your coffee, beer, or lunch while soaking in the peaceful, tranquil setting. There's a beautiful view of the marina and estuary, and you can watch kayakers, boaters, paddleboarders, and even Coast Guard ships leaving the island--something I always enjoy since it doesn't happen too often. The people who work there are some of the nicest you'll meet. They know my name, my kids' names--even my dogs' names. I love everything about this place: the ambiance, the location, the views, the service, and the wonderful people who run it. read more

A cool little waterfront cafe. Went with a breakfast croissant the first morning with a cup of coffee. It was a good sandwich and hit the spot for me, that brought me back more than once. Its close proximity to the harbor where my boat was moored made it an easy choice while there. Next day, I went for lunch and ordered the BLT with avo it was again an excellent choice and also the grilled Palva pork sandwich to go, both were great on their own. The pork sammich later that evening was an excellent choice for my late day meal. Also tried the chicken salad sando my last day in town and it was equally impressive. A really flavorful, full chicken salad, served on a great toasted bread. They also carry the best ginger beer on the planet, imho Bundaberg... get one Great friendly kind service, solid food options on the small but dedicated to quality menu boards, made fresh to order. I tired a variety of the baked pastries as well, each was really good, the scones outstanding. A cool little cafe a with a seriously great view of the water, coast guard station, and marinas. Loved the avocado toast here! Highly recommend. They season the avocado very well & toast was perfectly toasted. Variety of freshly baked goods here! Service was great! Very friendly & laid back. Causal, cozy, & dog-friendly venue overlooking the waterfront. You can sit indoors or outdoors. We came on a nice day so didn't get an outdoor seat overlooking the water since they were taken up. A little small so not great for big groups to dine in. Definitely coming back again to try other items on their menu. read more

Despite the unique spot which is by the ocean, never in my life have I ordered 2 cups of coffee and a croissant and it took them 40 minutes to bring the order in a quiet/non-busy day. The croissant was $11+tax, the crust was so dry, and the egg was too peppery. The high price just doesn't match the expectations of the quality & taste of the food. This cafe was very very small, there's no indoor seating, only outdoor limited seating. I don't think I'll drive back to spend 40 minutes waiting for a cup of coffee again. read more

Love this spot, and come here quite frequently, stopped by today -on a Saturday at 3:25. A young girl with black hair informed us that she "only does grilled cheeses after 3pm". This spot is incredible. I don't go out for breakfast generally, but Mosley's is a place I would make a trek out for. Afternoon is probably a good time to avoid the late morning rush and today in particular with daylight savings - people were probably jonesing for some eats earlier. Super warm and inviting staff. They know the menu so well - listing everything out in detail. Everything looked good. They had three types of quiche today, one with sausage, another with ham, I went with the tomato/asparagus- incredible, fluffy, flavorful and a buttery crust. Came with the most bright orange clementines (farmer's market quality), halved baby carrots and blueberries. If you love a croissan-wich, you'll be impressed here - flaky, perfect ratios of ingredients inside - turkey, cheese, added egg and avocado also. The view and ambiance made the experience even more special. Unisex restroom available and plenty of bar and table seats for up to 4 people. Definitely for smaller party sizes. Look forward to spending many more early meals with Mosley's in the future. Alameda is lucky to have this spot - you can feel the care, detail in the food. read more

Ok, so this is a first for me. I'm writing a second review for a business I come to a few times each year. This morning I found myself in Alameda and wanted good non-corporate coffee. I did your standard map search for what was nearby me, and saw a number of search results. I initially headed to a coffee shop that showed promise, but when I approached I realized it was on a busy street with limited parking and gnarly commute traffic headed outbound from Alameda (8:45 AM). It was then that I thought, "Do I tough it out, circle the block, and give it a go, or...sit on the quiet waterfront and Play the Hits with Moseley's...a proven consistent hit?" Well? I'm here now. And just as with every time before (and, yes, I do mean EVERY time) I was greeted with friendly smiling helpful crew, piping hot killer coffee, rapid table delivery service, and...some of the most flavour-rich quiche as to stir jealousy somewhere in Paris. Came here around 1pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy at all. Luckily the sun had came out after it had rained in the morning. It was such a beautiful day out and I'm glad we got to come here. The view is amazing as you enjoy a quick bite. They are dog friendly and the staff are very welcoming. When your map takes you to this place, it'll direct you to a small parking lot and you just have to walk towards the left. You'll see a sign and you walk all the way to the end. We ordered dirty chai latte, mocha, jalapeño quiche and ham&cheese croissant. Everything was delicious and enjoyed every sip and bite. Definitely would come back here again! read more

In my quest to explore Alameda, we ran across this cheers vibe cafe (80's TV reference, look it up young folks) that faces the eastern waters. We Sat on our bar stools and I enjoyed the Croissant egg and cheese with avocado and my husband the Croissant egg and cheese add turkey- fresh carved turkey, not sandwich meat! Croissant was lovely, great outer flake, soft inner texture. I enjoyed the Dirty chai- instead of espresso a shot of cold brew that was amazing. We tried the Aunt Ricci cinnamon bread- made with a 100 year old bread mother! We had our baby, I would recommend it be somewhere you go for just yourself or for you and your boo, space is limited. read more

Such a cute spot for a light breakfast or lunch or just a cup of coffee. It's located right on the marina, so there's a great view from every seat. The staff here is super nice. There's counter seating overlooking the bay or small tables along the dock. The food is not bad either. What we ordered: + croissant sandwich with ham and egg and avocado: the croissant was crispy outside and oh so buttery. The ham and egg was smothered with melted white cheddar. Very yummy. The same sandwich with turkey is really good too. + apple cinnamon muffin: nice muffin with chunks of apples and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar on top. + hot chocolate: not bad.
