I came after seeing it featured on a Instagram person I follow. I had some lab work where I had to fast so after that I had to get food so decided to come here. It is a SMALL place. there are 3 high tables and chairs and one lower table by the window and a couple tables outside. Apaprently the place has been there for a while but the new owners about 5 yrs. I owner is hilarious. I think its Korean owned. Two young men took my order, one who I think was just learning. I ordered the bulgogi omelet that came with a choice of bread and I opted for grits, and course they you have to get coffee from a place called Koffee Pot. The service was quick the bulgogi was nicely flavored and not all big, so you could eat it. The grits I think were done in the microwave, as it came ina paper container. I'm not gonna lie they were bad. I like to eat mine with butter and syrup, unless I'm having shrimp and grits. The Pop came by to check on how things where. Funny man. One star away from a perfect 5/5. Everything else smacked. Service , price, freshness, cleanings only inside. I found this breakfast only spot by keyword search breakfast around me. This one popped up and glad it did. Even just by driving by you can totally tell this is a primarily take out spot. When you enter it can barely fit 3 customers not kidding. One guy was eating at one table and another customer stepped in his foot by accident that's how tiny this place is. There is one small table outside but the area and people around you think twice about sitting there. And parking there is really no parking , just no parking signs literally everywhere and time limit parking zones. I saw a parking garage around but that was a few blocks away. I got lucky and found a corner spot and didn't get a ticket . But the breakfast was pretty good and it was prepare nice and neat for the go. I snapped a quick pic. I visited Koffee Pot on a Saturday morning around 8:30/9:00 AM. It was already getting busy with a large party sitting outside and a few individuals inside. The family managing the business were incredibly attentive throughout my visit. They quickly took my order and served the drinks, and even took the time to chat a little while I was waiting. They were so sweet and kind to their customers, making it one of the best service experiences I've had at a mom & pop diner in Oakland! The food was amazing! The French toast had crispy edges with a sweet, soft bite in the middle. The waffle was equally impressive--crispy on the outside and soft like a puffy cloud on the inside. I've had this spot to-go and delivered multiple times and the breakfast sandwiches are always delicious and plenty of options. It reminds of eating in Hawaii - fusion food and the hash browns are clearly those frozen Micky D's style you can buy in a frozen section and the burger patty may or may not be from Costco but it all works. I decided on the Loco Moco since I had just worked out and how often can you find that? The plate was massive, Rice, burger, spam, gravy, eggs, pretty hard to create a heavier dish but the gravy wasn't too thick or heavy so it really helped the dish. And an iced Vietnamese coffee for $5.50 was exactly what I needed a nice warm summer day. I walked the lake and went to my gym for a workout so I wanted to go big for breakfast. Food came out in a hurry too.The French toast stole the show. Scrambled eggs were good. The turkey sausage was all right. The waffle pretty good too. Not great, just not my style. I love this place and can't wait to go back!! I tried the bulgogi omelette which was very flavorful and the meat was very soft. I also tried the Vietnamese coffee which was so delicious! If you grew up in an Asian household or just like Asian or Hawaiian-Polynesian food, you'll be familiar with the kick-ass combination of eggs and rice for breakfast. Koffee Pot is one of those places where you can not only get a loco moco, but you can also get a side of rice with your omelette. And Koffee Pot likes to mix in a little fusion as well. You can get a regular veggie omelette or a bulgogi omelette ... whaaaaaaat? There were some egg and rice cravings going on, so an order for a regular veggie and cheese omelette (with side of rice) and a spicy pork omelette (with side of rice) was placed through Uber Eats delivery. It's a little difficult to gauge whether the order received accurately portrayed Koffee Pot's product and service since the order was place at around 10 a.m. on a Saturday, which was probably not the best time to be putting in a delivery order. Still, the four stars are for the quality and portion of the food alone. The veggie omelette was sizable, with a LOT of veggies packed inside. It felt like a hearty breakfast while also being healthy! The spicy pork omelette (a new item on the menu) was super tasty as well, with a generous amount of nicely seasoned (with gochujang) pork and veggies in the omelette. And, of course, all with a satisfying side of rice. Toast comes with it, too, in case you're still hungry after all that. I did a poor job of capturing a photo of all the pork inside the omelette, but take my word for it ... or better yet, go find out for yourself! I found the portion and quality for the price to be quite fair, and the containers they use are compostable - like, biodegradable compostable, not like "we say we're compostable, but we pretty much look like plastic" compostable, if you know what I mean. The omelettes from Koffee Pot were so good, I wanted to eat there again the next day, but wouldn't you know it, they are closed Sundays and Mondays! Tried Koffee Pot for the first time as it was near work, opened at 7 am, and had received positive reviews from other Yelpers. We were definitely not disappointed. Parking along that part of Telegraph Ave can be a bit challenging even early in the morning but take the time to visit. Service was very friendly and efficient. The bulgogi omelette was also excellent with the marinated sliced beef, various vegetables and cheese folded into a fluffy omelette and topped with Korean spicy paste-based sauce.
