First time here but my partner and I walk by it frequently. I think she has been here before back in the day. So, I love the water. I grew up with boats and have had several over the years so I love its on the water. But more important the food is awesome. I had the sausage and cheese quiche and my partner had the croissant with turkey and cheese. For drinks she had momo's...duh, and I started with JJJ sparkling and coffee. So the quiche was so good I went with another slice and my partner went with the grilled cheese. Hey, we just walked along the bay trail for 6.5 miles and had another 2 to go. I also had a glass of the Redwood cab. A great menu with extensive list of teas, beers etc. I want to go back and try more food offerings. So it is small but mighty. There is a counter inside for seating and tables as well as a counter outside and as I said it's right on the water. The local pigeons are very polite but they will eyeball you if you aren't tossing crumbs there way. Also, very dog friendly. There is artwork on the wall for sale as well as postcards etc from local artists. Oh and let's not forget the extensive supply of hot sauces sitting on the shelf. I can't remember, but it was either Scott or Steve who gave us the charcuterie board togo since we were going on a duffy boat from BAE BOATS which was next door. He was so friendly! The cutest charcuterie board there ever was, thank you Mosley's Cafe! We were pleasantly surprised by just how much food was packed in, and everything was so tasty! First of all, AMAZING service. If you want your coffee 1/3 sweet, they do not roll their eyes--they make it 1/3 sweet and it is just fantastic. Great coffee. Do not skip the Friendship Bread, and when they offer to heat it up, say YES. Soooo good. They also have breakfast sandwiches, grilled cheese, iced teas, hot teas, daily specials... it's great for lunch or breakfast. Do NOT go on Monday, or you will cling to the fence and cry like my son and I did. They are CLOSED on Mondays. ...but open Tu-Sun! And it is glorious. There are open-air tables or you can sit at the "bar" type seats out in the air or under the canvas awning. And dogs are welcome! And fawned over. (and given bits of cheese if it's OK with you.) The food and drink selection is small, but what they do have, they do it well! I love their croissant sandwiches and scones. Their iced mocha is my favorite! You order at the counter, and they will bring the food and drinks to you on pretty plates and cups, unless you ask for takeout. The prices are high, but you're paying for the experience and ambience, since it's on the waterfront. Parking is limited around the area, but it helps limit the number of people, which helps because there is not a lot of seating either. Parking - there's 2 lots that aren't really marked and street parking if you wanna walk a bit. Pay attention to signs tho in the lot to not park in truck/boat parking if you park in that lot. Service was really friendly and helped with our questions. I saw a coconut bliss drink that peaked my interest and the way it was explained to me made me really want to try it. Mosley's is a delightful, tiny California-style cafe right on the water in Alameda. The cafe has very few seats. Be prepared to get your coffee and take a walk along the water. They do have food, but I have had trouble finding a seat on a busy Sunday morning. This cafe is dog friendly - its mostly outside so there are no issues. Feel free even to bring your cat. My goto food item here are the scones. They are made fresh and have the perfect moisture content. Not too dry, not too moist. Try the lavender scone or the cranberry scone. Is my GPS leading me astray? I find myself with left and right turns into a gravel parking lot with boat trailers and $1 million + waterfront dwellings. I wander a bit and find signage that I might be in the right place. Good thing the delightful Edna Elite Yelper was there to meet me! It's a sweet hidden outdoor cafe sitting on the estuary. A kind staff prepares expresso drinks and a small menu of pastries, and breakfast offerings. While waiting for our Elite partner, Cheryl, Edna and I relaxed with warm beverages and watched the parade of patrons with canine companions in tow. With our party now complete, orders of French Toast and Stuffed Crepes arrived. Our kind millennium chef with darling Princess Leia inspired hair served us. The French Toast looked outstanding. Our buckwheat crepes appeared like UPS packages, however were filled with savory meats, cheese, spinach, fluffy eggs, and more. All reasonably priced, it was a great morning start to enjoy the company of friends and a five star Yelpish meal. read more

Very random cafe I found by the Alameda marina. I have been looking for a unique place my friends and I to have breakfast. Found this little gem out of nowhere?! It's behind a small building by the pier. You really would not know it's here! The sign arrow doesn't mean it's upstairs but it's behind the building. The area is very beautiful views of the water, yachts and scenery. A perfect peaceful place for small group socializing. Definitely, not for large groups unless you eat at the benches by the pier walk. Many locals seem to only know about this great find. There is limited public parking so beware of that. The restaurant is very small with limited outdoor seating. They do have a heat lamp by the order desk and blankets to use on cold mornings or evenings. I loved looking over the water and the Bay Area Hills, etc. Their menu is simple but customizable which is perfect for me! I chose there cappuccino which was good and their specialty buckwheat crepes (good for two). I ordered with their extras and the price of my meal was very decent for what they give. I really enjoyed myself there and their customer service was excellent as well as very friendly. I can definitely see myself coming back but maybe, on warmer spring or summer days! Came here looking for a cute outdoor patio to eat a lunch with my dog. Unfortunately the covered part of the patio is really small and many of the other tables don't have shade. Food was ok and drinks were fine. If you can get a seat at the counter height area facing the water I'm sure there's a nice view but we weren't able to on the weekend. Also if you are bringing your dog make sure they are ok around other dogs because there will be some. Staff was nice. read more
